  1. I believe the London Bus exclusive will be made available next month in LEGO brand stores in UK, starting from 3 October. Since this store is opening in mid-November, not exactly sure if there will be a separate giveaway for it. From my understanding, the London Bus is meant to tie with the opening of this new store.
  2. Thanks for sharing an image comparison of the scale. It's certainly nowhere close. Indeed, I noticed the circular roundabout at Victoria Monument is closed. Whereas, the road leading upfront is diverted to the left and right. Not sure if I am making sense.
  3. Hello everyone, The extreme long wait is finally over. The brand new LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 had arrived at my doorstep a few weeks ago and I had to get my reviewing act together. After the box's arrival, I had to make adjustment to my personal plans as I had expected to get it much earlier without clash of my recent overseas trips. The late arrival was due to some technical delay which resulted myself to miss the global reviewing launch of 1 September 2016. Well, this late arrival was no longer a surprise especially when I had enjoyed my first actual sighting of LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 mint packets in LEGO brand store in first week of September at London, United Kingdom. Oh well, I had to start amass those minifigures which I am looking for. Furthermore, our friends in the United States also experienced an early release of the minifigures accompanied with many early reviews by other communities and channels. I have been contemplating for a long while and struggling to make this review possible. I am not exactly sure if this review is still relevant anymore to many others but I strongly want this Eurobricks tradition to continue for as long as I am able to. I sincerely hope this review will not be somewhat repetitive or irrelevant to our Eurobricks Community. More importantly, I hope the long wait for this review is worth it. Before I go on with this detailed pictorial review, I would like to give my sincere thanks to The LEGO Group (TLG) which include the LEGO CEE and LEGO Collectable Minifigures Design Team. As a professional Reviewer, this golden opportunity is indeed a great honour and I am exceptionally thankful for the support that you guys have rendered. Till this date, I have completed 20 exhaustive LEGO Pictorial reviews including this current review, solely for the coverage of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series / LEGO Minifigures Theme throughout the past six years. I am so glad that I am able to deliver this traditional review. 20 LEGO Pictorial reviews are indeed a very long way to come and I can't believe I have dedicated so much of my time for reviewing this LEGO Minifigures Theme. I would like to thank Eurobricks Staff/LEGO Ambassador, CopMike and my entire fellow Eurobricks Staffers for being so helpful to this 'WhiteFang' traditional LEGO Collectable Minifigures (CMFs) reviewing endeavour. I must also thank my beloved wife, Kim/Belun for being supportive throughout this reviewing period! Otherwise, this review would never happen. Trust me, it is not easy if your other-half is not comfortable with you spending your sleepless nights on a hobby. I am truly pleased that I am able to able to continue to share this very special reviewing achievement with all of you. I hope I have not disappointed anyone in this review, if so, I offer my humble apologies and I really hope I can continue to meet your expectations for this exclusive reviewing coverage. Following Eurobricks tradition, let's do a formal re-cap for all of the past Eurobricks Collectable Minifigures polls once more. It started with a humble beginning of Series 1 followed by Series 2 in the year 2010 and it continue to spread like wildfire with another three strong waves of minifigures craze in the year 2011, putting Series 3, Series 4 and Series 5 in an excellent harvesting year. In the year 2012, we celebrated with Series 6, Series 7 and recent Series 8. With the beginning of year 2013, we have the recent Series 9, Series 10 and Series 11. In 2014, we have seen the LEGO Movie Series, The first LEGO Simpsons Series and Series 12. In 2015, we have the Series 13, LEGO Simpsons Series 2 and Series 14. In the beginning of 2016, we have the Series 15, LEGO Disney Series 1 and now I would like to invite the Eurobricks Community to cast their votes for this new LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 poll statistics as well. It resembles closely with the 8683 Series 1 and 71007 Series 12 colour schema. The overall colour schema appear to re-highlight the completion of 16 regular minifigures into 16 series from Series 1 to Series 16 which both utilised yellow as their colouring for their packaging. [Reference 1] [Reference 2] [Reference 3] [Reference 4] What could possibly lurk within these mysterious sealed packets? The excitement continued in LEGO Minifigures in this amazing new Series 16 The LEGO Collectable Minifigures (CMFs) Series 16 is scheduled for worldwide release on 1st September 2016. This new Series 16 excites me greatly and I am very happy to see the return of the true original traditional design of LEGO CMFs. I am always a huge fan of the regular LEGO CMFs design unlike specialised licensed minifigures. It's not as if specialised licensed minifigures are no good, but it's just my personal preference to it. Judging from the release in year 2016, there are the regular LEGO CMFs Series 15 and the specialised LEGO Minifigures Disney Series, accompanied by the earlier limited edition of the Deutscher Fußball-Bund (DFB) Football Series for the celebration of UEFA Euro in June 2016. I find it unbelievable that after so many releases, the LEGO CMFs Design Team are able to continue to surprise us with many awesome unique minifigures. This Series 16 is very capable of standing based on its own merit and able to integrate with past releases of LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series. I am not exactly sure what's in store for the future of the LEGO Minifigures Theme as we wildly speculate. There are absolute no doubt that I hold extreme high regards for the LEGO CMFs Design Team and I faithfully believe they will continue to surprise us in many endless possibilities in the near future. IMPORTANT: Please note that the naming for all 16 minifigures that I have use for this review are official TLG minifigures naming for the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16. Front view comparison with Series 16 and together with all available LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 1 to 15, LEGO Movie, Simpsons 1 and 2, Disney Series 1 and LEGO Team GB packets and DFB Series I have placed all 22 different minifigures packets including the LEGO Team GB and the recent new LEGO DFB Football packets as part of my overall comparison. I have finally decided to include the one-off exclusive regional packets as part of my showcase especially there is a trend of seeing something special, possibly once every four years. I hope this is a good new welcoming feature and I intend to work on a separate project with regards to LEGO DFB Football at a latter time even though it might not be too relevant anymore. It's a promise to myself and I will adhere to it. From the above display image, you can see an impressive transformation of LEGO CMFs Series 1 to the recent LEGO Disney Series, and now to the current Series 16. It is so wonderful to be able to see all of them from a top view. The LEGO Minifigures Theme is still a force not to be reckoned with and remains a very strong contender in the TLG product range since 2010. 22 different releases including regional exclusive are not easy to replicate the craze in many LEGO CMFs followers. Take a closer look at the following images. This is the front view of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 packet, while this shows the back view of it. This is an image that shows the back view comparison for all of these packets. To the regular readers of my LEGO CMFs review, you probably notice that this paragraph has been mentioned numerous times, because I personally feel this is the most effective method to acquire the highly sought after minifigures without taking any drastic measures. This is the 'same' golden rule, which has been mentioned in my previous reviews. If you are intending to collect the precious and hard-to-find minifigures, please hone your skills for the touch and feel method. It is an important skill to acquire to locate the minifigures that you want without spending too much money to randomly acquire them, especially so when you are intending to buy large quantities. Your sole mission is to memorise and remember the minifigures assortments for each of the specialised designs. Isolate and identify the most unique accessory or accessories for the particular minifigure. From there, eliminate the torso, head and legs and feel for the other parts. The sole disadvantage of this method is that much time would be wasted if the minifigures that you are looking for have been taken from the box. You might also end up with sore numb thumbs after feeling them. However, I personally feel that this approach is the most practical that works the best for me than any other uncommon approaches. Lately, I have noticed many violent buyers by damaging the overall packaging and causing the Rogue's quiver and Hiker's backpack to break. I do not tolerate of such brutal behaviour. These inconsiderate actions will simply escalate the possibilities of retail shops from embargo all buyers from doing this in the future. Front view of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 promotional poster Back view of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 promotional poster As you flip to the back of the promotional poster, you will notice a set of simple instructions to guide LEGO fans who are not familiar with the fixing of fabric cloth, placement of tail and minifigure parts correctly. In this case, there are two minifigure designs which require some form of basic instructions to guide our very young builders who may not be too familiar with these uncommon parts. This is a simple illustration to ensure you placed them correctly. 1) The Ice Queen Without further ado, let's bring out the first Series 16 minifigure and is none other than our chilling Ice Queen. Living in sub zero condition, this Ice Queen is not your regular friendly Elza from Disney Frozen. Instead, this Ice Queen is cold and demanding, probably will resort her freezing magic to control her enemies through her ice bolts. I am very glad to see such a wonderful detailed design of the Ice Queen which is non-related to actual licensed materials. I am sure this will be confident among girls and medieval fans who sought for an Icy Queen in their cold palace. Parts assortment The parts assortment for Ice Queen are pretty good. She came with glittering cloth fabrics for her icy robe. The skirt torso and dress is streamlined to incorporate the freezing cold in her. The two small components enable the long specialised ice bolts to wield from direct front by connecting it together. It's positioning enhance the playability for this minifigure. I also like the charming cold tiara above the Ice Queen. You can take a moment and examine her elegant beauty from the back view and side view. Powerful Sorcerers Attack Preparations The Princess is mine to keep Rid of those guards 2) The Desert Warrior The muscular melee Desert Warrior is a good addition on the historic front. The design is based loosely on Arabian Knights and is accurate to some extent. We last seen some turban warrior in the LEGO Orient Expedition - India and there are some close resemblance to one another. Personally, I find this Desert Warrior to be quite a potential army builder minifigures who are keen to amass a large number of them in their desert fortress. However, there is some lack-lustre on the design which fail to appeal me greatly. I personally think is because the sabre was a repeated design and they fail to introduce a new sabre weapon for this type of minifigure. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average. The existing turban design came in new emerald green, while the sabre is an existing design. On second thoughts, I am fine with the same black sabre but I would rather they include a big rounded shield as part of their offering to increase the accessories count. The printing for the sash and armband is all-rounded which can be seen from the back view and side view. My other twin-brother Shall we storm the fortress? Historical Warriors for hire Requesting for your audience You are my opponents Please let us pass through 3) The Cyborg The lethal Cyborg does not stand in either good or evil, but merely for the purpose of rewards. I believe this Cyborg is similar to a Bounty Hunter, but I am just guessing her role and is highly uncommon for a female Cyborg to appear in a LEGO minifigure form. This new design increase the possible allies of the good Space Defenders or populating the scumbags of deep space. It's entirely up to our imagination to decide the character's purpose. I really wonder what does she look like without her cyber tissues revealing at her face. Parts assortment The parts assortment for the Cyborg are average. It include a regular blaster and space armour in black coated with some of electronic components embedded at the front. The space armour also allow her to place the blaster at the back for storage. I am quite fond of the bright turquoise hairpiece. The design details also strongly suggest that this Cyborg is still partial human due to her facial appearance and arms, one of which is a cybernetic arm. You can see more of the nice printing of the shoulder emblem. Will you like to work for the Space Defenders? Dark Side of Deep Space Encounters 4) The Cute Little Devil The Cute Little Devil is ready for his next Halloween Trick or Treat. This little boy has dressed himself as a little devil and await for his friends to carry out some Trick or Treat from his neighbours. This minifigure is fitting and it closely related with the LEGO Minifigures Series 14 - Halloween Theme. The usage for this Cute Little Devil can be used strictly as a costume character or simply modify it to a real winged-devil as illustrated below. Nonetheless, this is a good attempt of this new costume character and I really wonder how popular will this character be. My gut instinct tells me, this might not be as cute as the new counterpart, Penguin Boy. Parts assortment The parts assortment are above average. It comes with the same trident but in a different colour. The pumpkin basket now come with a slightly different smile. The red tail and wings simply made the whole minifigure ready for suiting. It's quite evident that this is a suit due to the zipper being visible at the front of the torso. The red horns are also nicely designed to represent the devil. I suspect there are some of us who will put the headpiece to imaginative use. You can see the whole suit in greater detail from the back view and side view. Transformation shall commence You are now little red-winged devil I will protect you Trick or Treat This statue looks similar to me 5) Spooky Boy The next character which we will be seeing is the mysterious Spooky Boy. Taking precedence from his sibling in Series 12 - Spooky Girl, her sibling partner return as a male counterpart. He is a well-groomed boy with a little tinge of white pale skin on his complexion. He is pretty spooky with his fond interest of spider and reading spooky books. No doubt, there is a little sadness in his eyes and I really wonder what could have caused it. Nonetheless, I am glad there is a companion for Spooky Girl. Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly above average, especially with the inclusion of the new book publication known as "Spooky Tales" which I am quite fond of. The spider is rather normal and I did wish it can somehow include other creepy stuff which is different, to boost the interest for this minifigure. The printing for the Spooky Boy is good with the skeleton head design at the front and the chain at one side of his pants. You can view more details from the back view and side view. Spooky Boy and Girl Spooky Family The cast of Spooky Tales We will be there for you Books for loan 6) The Hiker This got to be one of the most exciting city minifigure design. The Hiker may seem to be a simple concept but it's quite a complex looking character with lots of good design on his body. With his essential gears ready, he could simply navigate through forests and hike his way with his trusty compass and map. Supplies aren't going to be short since the backpack could give him adequate supply for the trip. I don't quite recall seeing a nice looking hiker in other city minifigures and this is one of my personal favourite too. Parts assortment The parts assortment are outstanding. It contain excellent accessories such as the large new navy blue backpack which is big enough to keep the compass from behind. The new design is much bigger than any regular kaki backpack which is currently available. The 2x2 printed map featuring "Greeble Trail" and the newly designed compass are done very nicely with clear directions featuring in the 1x1 flat tile. The best thing about this minifigure is the amazing alternate facial appearance that reveal his rather doubtful thinking looks. That's one of the nicest and interesting facial design that I have seen for this current Series 16. You can continue to marvel at his wonderful backpack from the back view and side view. You need directions? Am I on the right trail? Want to join me for hiking? 7) The Wildlife Photographer This is not your regular Wildlife Photographer specialised in taking safari pictures. Instead, this professional Wildlife Photographer focus her camera onto the Arctic circles, to find penguins and perhaps polar bears. Well, it's pleasing to see a lady pledging her camera to take beautiful penguin images. Her winter climate gear must be good enough for her to withstand the harsh cold weather and perhaps due to the Penguin's appearance, I suspect this could be another possible popular minifigure among many LEGO fans especially from those who are interested to integrate with the LEGO Arctic Theme. Parts assortment The parts assortment are above average, especially the inclusion of the newly design penguin. It also include a normal camera and a simple 1x1 black stud to illustrate as playing dirt or something. I can't figure out on the actual intent but this 1x1 black stud can also be affix onto the back of the penguin. I was corrected by fellow Eurobricks members that the simple 1x1 stud is meant to be a camera lens cover and I am so dumb to comprehend this simple knowledge. One of the nice thing featuring this Wildlife Photographer is her endearing alternate facial appearance when the goggles are removed for the purpose of taking images. You can see more of the details from the back view and side view. This is their natural form Where is this penguin from? It's my pleasure to meet you 8) The Kickboxer Not to be confused with the 1989 Kickboxer movie, Kickboxing is a group of stand-up combat sports based on kicking and punching, historically developed from Karate, Muay Thai, Khmer Boxing, and Western boxing. This sports is widely practiced for self-defense, general fitness, or as a contact sport. This female Kickboxer know her stuff real well and find a worthy opponent for her challenge. Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly above average. I am very pleased that it include the boxing headgear with the 1x1 round cone to hold it upfront. I am also pleased to note her original hairpiece in this design. She came with boxing gloves, similar to other boxers in the LEGO CMFs. The nice thing could be her ready combat facial appearance versus her actual combat facial appearance. You can see more of the printed design from her back view and side view. Let's go for a few rounds We have a winner Professional wrestlers and boxers 9) The Scallywag Pirate Pirates ahoy, there is a new crew onboard the LEGO Pirates Theme. Fans of the hearty sea wolves will be very pleased to see a new Pirate variant to form part of their new assembled crew. The seasoned Scallywag Pirate is well designed to represent the barbaric nature of a typical pirate and he does appear to be quite seaworthy too, to help the Pirate Captain to search for the hidden treasure. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average with the inclusion of the common cutlass and a newly designed of the 2x2 printed map tile featuring the treasure location. The minifigure design is pretty accurate and I am fond of the baldy look. If my memories serve me right, most Pirates come with either cap or tricorne and rarely bald headed with a bandanna wrap around it. The anchor tattoo can be seen visibly from his arm. You can see more of the details from his back view and side view. Pirates onboard Different sea encounters The crew are ready to board Release the Governor's Daughter 10) The Penguin Boy The loveable and adorable Penguin Boy has made a wonderful appearance in the world of LEGO CMFs costumed characters. The Penguin Boy is the first short-legged costume character and is one of the most highly sought characters in Series 16. I had quite a challenging time locating them in the wild, similar to some other characters which I will be featuring in awhile more. This Penguin Boy is great to have it in a skating arena and I am confident this is popular among children as well. It does looks like the list of animal costumed characters are increasing steadily over the years. I got to admit. The more I see this character, the more I find it adorable. I got a hunch feeling that we might just see a female child with short-legs donning on a different animal costume in the future. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average. It include a pair of standard-issued ice skates which can be placed from beneath the legs. The main attraction is the design of the overall costume penguin suit. It utilise the similar arms which appeared in Series 15 - Shark Suit Guy. You can see more of the details from the back view and side view. Let's take a picture together Costume Party Costume animal suits for hire Specialised minifigures' arms Isn't this penguin so adorable? 11) The Rogue This is my favourite character in this series and such a character design has never appeared in such a formidable looking Rogue. Since the dawn of time, we have always seen traditional knights and villains and rarely seen a blend of neutral looking characters such as Thieves and Rogues in the medieval age. The overall Rogue design is extremely remarkable as it utilise good blend of olive dark green and a little bit of brown in the attire. Personally, the best design detail was the inclusion of the emblem for the Wolfpack. It pleased me very much that the designer paid homage to the 1992 Wolfpack and I am sure this also pleased many Classic Castle fans. Furthermore, I am glad that we still could see such traditional castle minifigure appearing in this new series which could simply integrate well among other castle minifigures. Parts assortment The parts assortment are outstanding. Apart from the standard quiver and bow, the main highlight was the new headgear that has an unique blend of ninja and ranger mask combined together. The torso is well designed with the arms showing a brown glove holding the arrow and the other hand holding the bow. It is great that the designer pay such fine attention to it. The overall design is easily customisable for mix and match with Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit elves. I find it very enjoyable to use this design and it's definitely a hot favourite among medieval army builders including myself. You can continue to marvel at the fully equipped details from the back view and side view. There is also back printing to enhance the design detail and upon removing the headgear, you can see the Rogue's friendly appearance. I can't deny how cool this character is, when he is posing for his shot. Friend or Foe? Return of the Wolfpack Rogue Leader Archery Competition Friendly Archers The best archers in the region You have nowhere to run 12) The Dog Show Winner Let's welcome the Dog Show Winner. He has his best dog pedigree ready for showcase in this competition. Well, this boy does not seem to be the grand winner as suggested by the silver trophy and his badge state as number one. I don't think it meant number one in position. It could suggest number one in the line. His confident look show that he is ready for his snowy white dog to win this deserving trophy. Parts assortment The parts assortment are above average. The trophy has appeared before but never with a dog print on it. The design of a brand new white dog is a pleasant surprise. It's great to see another new variant and in this case, this white dog reminds me of 'Snowy' from the adventures of Tin Tin. I have also not seen this suave hairdo before and is probably a new design as well. You can take a closer look and view more of the details from the back view and side view. Which is the odd one out? A walk in the park Good day to you 13) The Mariachi The Mariachi has made another amazing appearance in the world of LEGO CMFs. This time, the Mariachi came with a nice acoustic guitar to accompany with the playing piece that easily dates back to at least 19th century Western Mexico. It is a tradition that can be defined by eight socio-musical elements. I am sure this will be easily customisable to each liking to form your own three-piece, five-piece or eight-piece bands. I am also fond of the detailed outfit of the black sombrero with decorating elements and charro attire which simply define the Mariachi's style. It's certainly nice to see such uncommon real-life musical characters featured in a minifigure form. Parts assortment The parts assortment are pretty decent, especially with the new acoustic guitar. I find the design to be very detailed as it is different from those electric guitars and it can be served as part of the musical offering. You can take a closer look at the charro outfit. You can also view more of the minfigure from the back view and side view. Party Fiesta Shall we rock and roll? Wild Wild West Expansion Let me sing a song for you 14) The Spy Who like to play with Spy? This is the first Spy in the LEGO CMFs, but it is also not the first that they have made an actual appearance. The first action-spy theme appeared in LEGO Alpha Team in 2002. Subsequently, it has made other re-appearances in LEGO Agents and LEGO Ultra Agents. This character also reminisce as Agent Dash which first appeared in LEGO Alpha Team and I appreciate the designer input fine detail of the 'Agents' emblem on the spy attire. Parts assortment The parts assortment are pretty decent. The standard black uniform include standard black guide ropes which is different from rescue purposes. There are night googles affix onto the face directly and upon removing it, you can see the Agent's real appearance. There is also a slim back pack to store other kits and a small looking pistol, which I dread. How I wish they could give an appropriate armament instead of this simplistic unappealing pistol wannabe. Other than that, it's pretty good as it is. You can notice the Spy's sleek appearance from the back view and side view. Secret Agents I shall stop you from escaping We need your talent 15) The Banana Guy This is the wacky looking cool Banana Guy that many others are also looking for. There is a costume craze among the LEGO CMFs collectors and seeing the Banana Guy somehow going to mark the serious beginning of food costume characters since the very first appearance was Series 13 - Hot Dog Man. I know there are many people are searching for these character as I can't seem to find it in open boxes. I really wonder why there are so many people are looking for these in large volume especially when the distribution ratio is going to surprise you. You are probably going to place this Banana Guy in funky places and attractions to woo the crowds over to check out. I will also separate the photos for animal and food costume characters from now on. Parts assortment The parts assortment are normal and there is zero accessories. I suspect it's probably due to the high moulding cost of doing the banana shape which indeed capture the shape and size very well based on the minifigure sizing. The confident looking shades does hide some of his sweat away and he seem rather in an enjoyable mood. You can take a moment to examine the fine details from the back view and side view. Beginning of Food Costume Characters What happened to you? New attraction in Disneyland Theme Park Check out his cool costume 16) The Babysitter The final minifigure who is make an appearance is the Babysitter and a miniature baby boy minifigure as well. This bring elated news of seeing an actual baby in LEGO. The first LEGO baby appeared in the 60134 Fun in the Park and this also pave the way to see the first LEGO baby in the LEGO CMFs. Technically, you are getting both minifigures in a single packet. The Babysitter is a nice caring girl who tend the needs of the young baby and it's no surprise that this minifigure is extremely hard to find and everybody seem to be looking for this as well. I personally think the babysitter can represent as an elder sister to the baby boy and integrate it as part of family nucleus. Parts assortment The parts assortment are excellent. I love the new baby boy design and it's a huge improvement from the Series 12 - Tribal Woman. I am amazed with the baby boy headpiece being able to pull out like any other regular minifigure and I got to admit it is very adorable. The scale and size is also very accurate and the design enable it to integrate well with others. The baby blue elephant dibs is also a design plus point for me and as pointed by fellow Eurobricks member, the baby elephant is meant to represent LEGO Quarto (LEGO toys for age 1 to 3). Isn't it lovely? The new milk bottle accessory is also handy and can be used for feeding with ease of holding. The Babysitter is a fan of pug and come with detailed back printing which can be seen from the back view and side view. Feeding Time Grandparents New Family Member My precious baby Babies Galore Let's welcome the new baby General Statistics for 71013 LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 Below is the combination which I have received from my box, 3 Ice Queens 4 Desert Warriors 3 Cyborgs 4 Cute Little Devils 4 Spooky Boys 4 Hikers 3 Wildlife Photographers 3 Kickboxers 3 Scallywag Pirates 3 Penguin Boys 5 Rogues 4 Dog Show Winners 4 Mariachis 5 Spies 5 Banana Guys 3 Babysitters Based on the above distribution, I have managed to achieve only three full complete sets of 16 one-of-a kind minifigures each. It means I will have 12 spares left. Read below to find out what are the remaining spares I have. My remaining spares 0 Ice Queens 1 Desert Warriors 0 Cyborgs 1 Cute Little Devils 1 Spooky Boys 1 Hikers 0 Wildlife Photographers 0 Kickboxers 0 Scallywag Pirates 0 Penguin Boys 2 Rogues 1 Dog Show Winners 1 Mariachis 2 Spies 2 Banana Guys 0 Babysitters Data Analysis Given the above data which I have compiled and received, I have indicated my comprehensive analysis based on my individual viewpoint. By buying one full complete MISB box, it will allow you to achieve three complete sets. Ever since the significant shift of the distribution ratio in LEGO Minifigures - The Simpsons, TLG has return to the LEGO consumers the traditional three complete sets. The ongoing LEGO CMFs Series 16 has continued with this desirable ratio of having three full sets in a sealed box of 60. I am extremely pleased with this outcome. I feel the appeals of these minifigures have achieved a brand new desirable level despite the restrictions and limitations which the LEGO CMFs Design Team has to work with. The LEGO CMFs Design Team's best judgement is based on the support of market research data and probably parts per piece count manufacturing process in order to determine the distribution ratio. As you have noticed from the given distribution ratio, the minifigures which we normally need to obtain for a few are given the distribution ratio of three such as the Cyborg, Ice Queen and Kickboxer. I am disappointed that the Wildlife Photographer, Penguin Boy and Babysitter are not given the higher distribution ratio of four or five as these two minifigures are incredibly hard-to-find in the wild and it seems everyone are looking for them high and low. I have no complains with the distribution ratio of four even though If given an opportunity, I would love to replace the Mariachi and Spooky Boy with Babysitter and Penguin Boy. The continued game changer is the Banana Guy. I am extremely surprised and elated to note the one of the most popular minifigure as perceived like all other costumed characters are given the highest distribution ratio. For myself, I am very happy that the Rogues are given the maximum distribution ratio as it is clearly a highly desired army builder minifigure and it will increase the chances for me to amass a much larger army. Thus, by putting the most popular perceived character in the distribution ratio of five, it will definitely make lots of LEGO fans very happy. Ultimately, I am extremely satisfied with this current distribution arrangement. I do notice there are plentiful of spies around in the open boxes and you probably have a very hard time looking for Banana Guys, Penguin Boy, Wildlife Photographer and Babysitter. Those are extremely hard to obtain based on my personal feeling experience till this date. Thank goodness, I did not encounter huge difficulty to look for the Rogues. To conclude and summaries, based on the probability demonstrated by this review, as an example, here are the results, High probability 1) Rogues 2) Spies 3) Banana Guys Total range: 25% Each: 8.33% Medium probability 1) Desert Warriors 2) Cute Little Devils 3) Spooky Boys 4) Hikers 5) Dog Show Winners 6) Mariachis Total range: 40% Each: 6.67% Low probability 1) Ice Queens 2) Cyborgs 3) Wildlife Photographers 4) Kickboxers 5) Scallywag Pirates 6) Penguin Boys 7) Babysitters Total range: 35% Each 5% The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 will be launching on the 1st September 2016 (worldwide) To conclude, the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 has successfully surprised us with another new level of design creativity. I am very happy to see this original traditional series. Traditional LEGO CMFs series always appeal widely to the masses and I know for certain that TLG is not really intending to just focus on the traditional stuff. There are clear signs in the shift in their marketing and design approach. Not exactly sure if this is a good sign or bad omen, but only time will tell if the change in the LEGO CMFs could sustain and continue to appeal to general public and LEGO fans. It is not an easy challenge to create, design and introduce many new creative and original designs for each new series. The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series or known as LEGO Minifigures Theme shall always be an unique commanding class of their own, which distinguish themselves from regular LEGO Theme and special releases. Instead, everything that you have seen in a single released series is all based on the 16 minifigures and recently 18 minifigures for the LEGO Disney to reach out to fans, children, adults and collectors of LEGO. It has been a very long standing tradition and yet they are able to retain the charm and excitement, until today. Now with a total of 323 minifigures released for the entire Series 1 to 15, the LEGO Movie Series, LEGO Simpsons Series 1 to 2, Disney LEGO Minifigures and the current LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16, not including Mr. Gold which unfortunately I do not have the blessings or lucky stars to own it till this date, and the special exclusive Toy Soldier and Zombie Skateboarder minifigures that can only be obtained through The Minifigures Character Encyclopedia books respectively. At this massive rate that the releases continue, I wonder if you can keep up with the display shelving area to accommodate for future expansion. For myself, I don't have the space to display all of them anymore until much further notice. Meanwhile, I truly wonder what more exciting new series will TLG have for us. Only time will tell and let's be patient about it. I am confident that it will be worth the wait as always. Please note that all opinions and content shown in this Eurobricks pictorial review is from 'WhiteFang' and is not meant to represent LEGO official views. It is purely stated to share as a vantage point of a reviewer. Please note that the The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 do not contain the placement of LEGO spare parts/accessories. This was practiced since the start of LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3. Summary review Playability: 9/10 (New and old minifigure designs that can be integrated across many new and existing themes/settings.) Design:9/10 (Outstanding detailed dual printing on different arms and legs with decent new accessories.) Price: 8/10 (Pricing remain the same for this new Series 16, otherwise it will hurt my wallet badly.) Overall: 8.7/10 (Ready yourself for this new Series 16 and may you can get the ones that you want most! I know for sure what I am going to search for.) I gave it a "5" based on my Review Score Card. 4. I don't have the VIP London Bus set but I suspect it's a little big as is not meant to be a micro built. Not exactly sure of the real comparison.
  5. Thanks guys for your comments! That's the unfortunate state of truth for most LEGO sets in Singapore. I am actually quite look forward to the rumoured Architecture Skyline of London.
  6. Thank you very much. I was lucky to be able to capture it in my recent travels. Thank you so much for highlighting this. It was a mistake. I have rectified it.
  7. Dear Eurobricks Community, I am very pleased to present to share with all of you on my latest completed reviewing project of the 21029 Buckingham Palace. Thank you. WhiteFang
  8. Hello everyone, I am here to share this latest LEGO Architecture 2016 series. This brand new 21029 Buckingham Palace is a historic United Kingdom (UK) landmark for many centuries and it has successfully made it into the LEGO Architecture line. I am pleased to be able to be part of the Eurobricks Reviewing Team to be able to review one of these nice LEGO Architecture sets and to re-visit reviewing this very unique building theme. Special thanks to Eurobricks LUG Ambassador, CopMike, LEGO CEE and Architecture Design Team for giving me this opportunity. On a side note, I am also working on a 'separate' project as soon as I can, since this 'set' came first. Henceforth, let me first bring you to a visual tour of Buckingham Palace in London, UK. Name: 21029 Buckingham Palace, London / Great Britain (United Kingdom) Theme: LEGO Model Making / Architecture Year: 2016 Pieces: 780 Minifigs: Nil Price: USD $49.99, GBP 39.99, EURO 49.99, SGD $99.90 Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An original box image of the 21029 Buckingham Palace Back view of the original box image of the 21029 Buckingham Palace Side view of the original box Side view of the original box Bottom view of the original box This is certainly a detailed piece of LEGO Architecture structure I am feeling very excited about this new LEGO Architecture design. The summary of the box describe briefly the building is meant to house the British Royal Family. The Buckingham Palace is the London residence and administrative headquarters of the reigning monarch of the United Kingdom. The building is located in the City of Westminster, London. The palace is often at the centre of state occasions and royal hospitality. It has been a focal point for the British people at times of national rejoicing and mourning. Now, the Buckingham Palace is a symbol and home of the British monarchy, an art gallery and a tourist attraction. The content of the sealed box By slicing the adhesive sealed labels from the box, you are greeting by this lovely welcome. The sealed box come with five mint non-numbered packs, an instruction manual and a survey request by TLG to share your acquired product experience. After building the set, these are the remaining spare parts. The nicely bind instruction manual contains well summarised information on the Buckingham Palace like this and this accompanied with some useful quick information at the top right hand corner. The entire building content for all five mint packs Building process - Laying the foundation of Buckingham Palace You start the process by laying the foundation of the Buckingham Palace by forming the base of 26 studs across and 24 studs wide. for the entire perimeter. The Buckingham Palace wording is printed and formed the introduction of this building. Building process - Laying the tiles Continue on the building process by placing the flat tiles within the perimeter to create the smooth finishing on the area. It's a good contrast mix between dark tan flat tiles and dark grey flat tiles for most areas. Building process - Constructing the pillars and building area Now, you will start to construct the back and sides of the Buckingham Palace. This building process is beginning to get tedious as you are largely dealing with very small LEGO bricks to form the exterior details and shape clearly. As you progress, I find my fingers getting rather numb and annoyed with the minor adjustment of these little bricks and tiles. Building process - Construction of the front building pillars Building process - Placing the completed rooftops The completed built of Buckingham Palace After about three hours of gruesome building and photo-taking, I am finally done with the building. The outcome is rather aesthetic pleasing and I am very happy with the overall built. The completed built is measured at 205mm (length) and 95mm (height). It managed to captured the fine details of the actual Buckingham Palace and the colouring is very well attended. I also noticed the designer included the gate and fence fine details through the use of simple LEGO parts for illustration. The aerial view capture the flooring very well as it even out the layout evenly. The front of the building show those many windows and floors through those tiny gaps from advanced building techniques which can be viewed from here and here. It does involve quite abit of patience to pull this off. The scale and size is also pretty nice for the LEGO micro statue to hang around. You may view more of the beautiful fine details of the Buckingham Palace, from the left side, right side, back view. This set also include the very simplistic micro built of the representation of London Bus and Taxi. The completed built of Buckingham Palace without the micro built A closer look at the Victoria Memorial Let's take a closer look at the Victoria Memorial. The Victoria Memorial is a monument to Queen Victoria. Designed in 1901, it was unveiled on May 1911, though it was not completed until 1924. It was the centrepiece of an ambitious urban planning scheme, which included the creation of the Queen’s Gardens to a design by Sir Aston Webb, and the refacing of Buckingham Palace (which stands behind the memorial) by the same architect. To be honest, this is quite a simplistic attempt to illustrate the actual Victoria Memorial which is a very complex marble sculpture. It does look more of the real LEGO minifigure monument. London Bus passing by Buckingham Palace London Black Taxi passing by Buckingham Palace From St James Station - Directions to Buckingham Palace I had the pleasure to visit London in earlier September 2016 for a short vacation and I wanted to visit the Buckingham Palace. There are a few ways to go by and most could choose via Victoria Station. I went via St James Station and took about six minutes quick stroll down to this magnificent landmark. It is actually best to visit in early morning and I am very blessed by the good charming weather in London. It is usually grey and rainy most of the times. The overview of the actual Buckingham Palace This is the real deal and it's a great pity that I did not have the actual built set with me for comparison. As you can see the exterior building details is captured clearly in terms of the alignment and design aspect. There is really little negative vibes other than the Victoria Memorial. It is such an eventful sight that I just amazed at the beauty of this landmark. The crowd start to crawl in after 9am and I was actually there at 8am or so. With the crowd coming in, it will be challenging to take a nice decent picture especially in such a wonderful weather with blue skies. The actual main gate of the Buckingham Palace Main entrance of the actual Buckingham Palace Side view of the actual Buckingham Palace The actual Victoria Memorial I am on a very serious duty Attack of the giant lizard and gorilla WhiteFang and Belun visiting the Buckingham Palace Everything can be re-packed into the LEGO Architecture box I am truly glad to be able to visit this iconic London landmark To conclude, this set is an above average LEGO Architecture set. At first glance, you could simply recognise the iconic design. It does not take much of your time and it does make a fine display table piece. Although this set is made up of 700 plus bricks, but the reality is most of those bricks are really very small to begin with. Thus, the price per part ratio isn't quite applicable and the price tag is generally quite hefty. The LEGO Architecture sets are generally target at serious LEGO fans or collectors and buyers who are interested in their favourite landmark building.I am truly glad to build this. Please note that all opinions and content shown in this Eurobricks pictorial review is from 'WhiteFang' and is not meant to represent LEGO official views. It is purely stated to share as a vantage point of a reviewer. Summary review Playability: 7/10 (You can play giant monsters attacking iconic landmark by using your minifigures if you choose to.) Design: 8/10 (Well detailed design and it can be instantly recognised as Buckingham Palace.) Price: 6/10 (Price per part ratio is not applicable and this set is generally on the mid-tier price tag or so. The Singapore SRP is indeed on the very high side.) Overall: 7/10 (Do get this set especially if you love this place and sight very much based on your price travel. It will make a fine piece of memory.) I gave it a "4" based on my Review Score Card. What about you? I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are welcomed. Pictures can be found in My Flickr.
  9. Thank you! I have updated the links correctly.
  10. Indeed, it's nice deco especially on the wall tiling. Thanks for sharing.
  11. I really like the way you did with the Spider Bridge. It's really nicely put. I thought of using them for vehicular bridge but trains are real great idea plus it clear the height limit.
  12. Thanks guys for your kind words. Real envy of my fellow US friends. If you guys are wondering when will the traditional review be appearing, it won't be anytime soon due to technical delay and I am not having the new series yet. I hope to receive good news soon. Nope, i am not the only user. You may do your own rendition for sharing as well, if you wish to.
  13. You nailed this down and I enjoyed it very much. Having to see the actual site certainly remind me of the times that I had been there. Thank you for sharing this historic piece of MOC with us.

  16. Hello everyone, This special review is long overdue and I thought is best to get my act together. I would like to share my unexpected review which was supposed to release in June 2016. Special thanks to Eurobricks Fellow, Holodoc for helping on my behalf to acquire a mint box of limited regional edition of the Deutscher Fußball-Bund (DFB) Football Series from Germany retail shop. This is more of a bonus reviewing feature, which I would like to complete as part of my LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series / LEGO Minifigures Theme. Till this date, I have completed 21 exhaustive LEGO Pictorial reviews including this current review, solely for the coverage of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series / LEGO Minifigures Theme throughout the past six years. I am so glad that I am able to deliver this traditional review. I truly hope this review will still be applicable and relevant for all to take reference. I hope I did not disappoint anyone in this review, if so, I offer my humble apologies and I really hope I can continue to meet your expectations for this coverage. This is meant to be a simplistic review and serve to feature the football excitement in LEGO context. Name: 71014 LEGO Minifigures - Deutscher Fußball-Bund (DFB) Football Series Theme: LEGO System / Collectable Minifigures / Deutscher Fußball-Bund (DFB) Football Series Year: 2016 Minifigs: 16 unique minifigures Price for 1 box: USD N.A, GBP N.A, EURO N.A, SGD N.A Price for 1 packet: USD N.A, GBP N.A, EURO N.A, SGD N.A Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An image of an 71014 LEGO Minifigures - DFB Team The Deutscher Fußball-Bund (DFB) Football Series main design schema revolve around a soccer pitch. This is a special licensed product which affix a hologram sticker - official fan products to reflect the authenticity of this product. [Reference 1] [Reference 2] [Reference 3] [Reference 4] What could possibly lurk within these mysterious sealed packets? The most incredible sports line-up featured in an actual real-life football national team The Deutscher Fußball-Bund (DFB) Football Series is slated for special regional exclusive release in Germany starting from 1st June 2016 for a very limited period, like for one or two month before it is officially discontinued. This limited edition of the DFB Football Series was specially designed to commemorate for the celebration of UEFA Euro in June 2016 where France is the host country. The feature players were from Germany National Football team and most of them are represented to play for the actual games. As I am not a huge soccer fan, I will be relying heavily on the Internet to obtain my information. I am very excited about this series as this is an opportunity to amass unique special licensed flesh skin tone minifigures which are very useful for customisation and integration. From what I understand, these are very hard-to-come by especially mint sealed boxes and sales distribution are not widely available. Eventually we are trying having to avoid paying ridiculous secondary market price for them. I also noticed that TLG had done these special one-off regional exclusive minifigure series at every four years since the last one was in 2012 for the LEGO Team GB where UK is hosting the Olympic Games. IMPORTANT: Please note that the naming for all 16 minifigures that I have use for this review are official TLG minifigures naming for the LEGO Minifigures - DFB Series 2016. Front view comparison with LEGO Minifigures - DFB Series and together with all available LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 1 to 15, LEGO Movie, Simpsons 1 & 2, Disney Series 1 and LEGO Team GB packets I have placed all 21 different minifigures packets including the LEGO Team GB packet. From the above display image, you can see an impressive transformation of LEGO CMFs Series 1 to the recent LEGO Disney Series 1, and now to this DFB Series 2016. Well, I left out Series 16 packet but to avoid confusion, this image is taken before the emerge of Series 16. These are the special exclusive series which can be found in specific countries like UK in 2012 and Germany in 2016. Take a closer look at the following images. This is the front view of the LEGO DFB Series packet, while this shows the back view of it. This is an image that shows the back view comparison for all of these packets. If you are intending to collect these hard-to-find minifigures through the touch and feel method, I could not advise you doing so. This method will not work well since the only easiest minifigure to identify could be Coach Joachim Löw since he is the only minifigure without a football in it. It is practically impossible and is best to just buy the whole series through opened packets or a mint box. Front view of the LEGO DFB Series promotional poster These are the DFB football players and their jersey numbering, where applicable. The minifigures' white baseplates are also uniquely designed and printed which featured the four-times World Cup Champion (4-stars denotation). The jersey for the player uniform are standard with the inclusion of their sponsor 'Adidas' and the DFB logo. Every players have a football issued to them and this is what happened when you consolidate the baseplates and footballs altogether. Before the introduction of individual players, these are the whole squad line-up from the side view and back view. You can take a closer look at the amazing detailed two-tone printing at their arms and legs (shorts) from here and over here. Based on the line-up, these are the possible strikers, possible midfielders and possible defenders. Not to forget, the Coach and Goalkeeper. Back view of the LEGO DFB Series promotional poster As you flip to the back of the promotional poster, you will notice a set of simple instructions to promote a bucket of LEGO classic bricks to construct a block looking goal post from 10696 Medium Creative Brick Box. 1) National Football Coach - Joachim Löw Without further ado, let's bring out the first DFB minifigure and is none other than Coach Joachim Löw. Welcome to LEGO Town Football Showdown Join the Dark Side In need of new team members? General statistics for 71014 LEGO Minifigures - DFB Series Below is the combination which I have received from my box, 3 Joachim Löw(s) 3 Manuel Neuer(s) 3 Jérôme Boateng(s) 3 Mats Hummels(s) 3 Benedikt Höwedes(s) 4 Shkodran Mustafi(s) 4 Bastian Schweinsteiger(s) 4 Mesut Özil(s) 4 Thomas Müller(s) 5 Toni Kroos(s) 5 Sami Khedira(s) 5 André Schürrle(s) 4 Marco Reus(s) 3 Christoph Kramer(s) 4 Mario Götze(s) 3 Max Kruse(s) Based on the above distribution, I have managed to achieve only three full complete sets of 16 one-of-a kind minifigures each. It means I will have 12 spares left. Read below to find out what are the remaining spares I have. My remaining spares 0 Joachim Löw(s) 0 Manuel Neuer(s) 0 Jérôme Boateng(s) 0 Mats Hummels(s) 0 Benedikt Höwedes(s) 1 Shkodran Mustafi(s) 1 Bastian Schweinsteiger(s) 1 Mesut Özil(s) 1 Thomas Müller(s) 2 Toni Kroos(s) 2 Sami Khedira(s) 2 André Schürrle(s) 1 Marco Reus(s) 0 Christoph Kramer(s) 1 Mario Götze(s) 0 Max Kruse(s) Data Analysis As this series is a special limited release, I won't be going through a detailed analysis since it is only available in Germany. However, I am pleased that a mint box come with three complete sets and it does appear the Coach and Goalkeeper are allocated to 3, whereas the players are distributed among the remaining 3, 4 and 5 denomotion. I got no idea on how TLG could configure the distribution ratio based on the given designs. Either way, I am happy with this distribution ratio as it does not really matters to me since the probability to find them in the wild by going through the touch and feel method is almost mission impossible. If you can afford it, simply just grab a mint box or a complete series at a reasonable resale price, when possible. The LEGO Minifigures - DFB Series is released for a very short period in Germany (May to June 2016) To conclude, I am very honoured and lucky to be able to own a whole mint box and open it at my leisure for this review. Of course, this cannot be possible if Holodoc didn't go all out to help me with the purchase. This is very hard to come by and is only available in Germany and since this is a promotional efforts by TLG to market the UEFA Euro Cup 2016, this entire series is a huge licensed fan product. Everyone seems to rush to buy them by the boxes. For myself, I see this whole series in great excitement and anticipation. I could use these minifigures and break the hairpieces and head pieces and sort them accordingly. I kept them in bins, where I can modify and customise my other flesh licensed minifigures like Star Wars, Superheroes and Jurassic World. It is very fun to play around with those parts. Even though this is not considered as the regular mainstream release under the LEGO Minifigures Theme. This special release will always be unique of its own commanding class. Who knows, perhaps one day, we may see a real opposing team against the Germany Football National Squad of 2016. Time will tell and we shall see. Please note that the The LEGO Minifigures - DFB Series do not contain the placement of LEGO spare parts/accessories. This was practiced since the start of LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3. Summary review Playability: 8/10 (Fun interactive full football team formation, and all of them are real-life characters.) Design: 9/10 (Excellent outstanding designs and most of it are very similar to their real-life appearances) Price: 6/10 (Due to their sole availability in Germany, you need to factor additional courier charges on top of the SRP.) Overall: 8/10 (If you are a huge fan of LEGO Minifigures and Football, then don't hesitate and source for it before it become too expensive in the future.) 18. Congratulations to the well deserved winners.
  19. No, it's definitely not the new kind of spongy material (I got that material from Thor's red cape from 76030) for me. It's the traditional fabric material like other older capes.
  20. Thanks Rufus. That is helpful, as it can match my expectations with regards to these two anticipating sets.
  21. Rufus, can I ask you something? Since you own both sets and I know you liked the Mini Cooper. The thing is, will you think the overall structure is weak for the either sets? Will it be hard to handle or will parts be dropping off like nobody business?
  22. Finally!!! The review is done. I am so looking forward to get this set. Thank you Rufus for taking your time to do up this beautiful review.

  25. Sorry in advance for WhiteFang's Dead Thread Reviver. I have finally build this set with my wife together. We were looking forward to build this set and I have not read any review until now as I wanted this set to be a fun and meaningful experience with no spoilers intended. The T1 Camper Van was one of the few selected sets among our collection which we both adore together and heck it, we decided to build this and it was a long four hours experience. The review highlighted the key features and beauty of this set, but what the review did not address is the overall building experience. Personally, for a LEGO Creator Expert set or equivalent, there are quite a number of complex techniques used for the facade, and the front/back of the van. Lots of interesting playability in terms of model aspect. However, we were disappointed especially my wife. She was not impressed because the overall built appeared and felt to be crazily fragile especially on the top roof and side windows, bummer, etc. The design is indeed beautiful, I do not deny that. But I need to be very careful carrying it around, making sure that certain parts don't just drop off. I don't quite exactly sure why it felt this way especially when I have read numerous positive thoughts on this set. I don't deny it is beautiful because of the iconic design, we did not hesitate to buy it. We need to pay much attention to ensure that it don't fall apart. It can't be worse than Ferris Wheel, which I can practically carry it around the house without having any parts dropping off. In this case, I am so mindful of the roof. I felt there is a need to share our building experience. I still like this set. On my part, I have made some slight modifications to reinforce the roof for the time being. Hope it helps. Well said, and in order to lift the roof off or place it back. You need to be extremely careful without exerting too little or too much pressure.
