WhiteFang replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks guys. Much appreciated to know that most of us are pretty excited and looking forward to the public release in May. Just moments away, before we successfully embrace the anticipated release. It's part of my reviewing standard structure, where I placed the caption above the image. -
Well done, Jim. I can see you enjoy the reviewing process. I love those in-build photos, which you have shared your thoughts. Pretty insightful and I enjoyed that part in particular.

[MOD] 75152 Imperial Assault Tank Modifications
WhiteFang replied to Forresto's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you for sharing. I will be sure to watch out for some mods which you guys have done. -
Dear Eurobricks Community, Allow me to present my fourth reviewing attempt on the LEGO Rogue One sets. Love those sets very much. Hope you enjoy reading it. WhiteFang

It's a personal choice. I don't like to remove minifigures from the keychains unnecessarily. I also buy keychains and it ought to remain as it is. Just a pet peeve of mine, wanting to maintain things as it is and not distort further.

I will update this portion of the review once the green light is given. Well, thank you for your patience even though is no surprise to many, due to unexpected spoiler. In time to come, we should be able to receive TLG official sharing of this mysterious character once we past the official release date. -
Thank you everyone for your comments. Glad you like it. I will go check it out. Not sure if I really want to have it, since is just a keychain and I do not want to do keychain removal.

Hello everyone, I am back again to share my fourth LEGO Star Wars Rogue One review. The earlier LEGO Rogue One reviews which I reviewed were the 75153 AT-ST Walker, 75154 TIE Striker and 75155 Rebel U-wing Fighter and I enjoyed building/playing all of these sets very much. Thus, I have been trying to do these reviews whenever possible to share with the Eurobricks community. Hope to share more of my other new Rogue One sets which I have bought. Please note there will not be any major movie spoilers but there is bound to contain minor movie spoilers. If you are those who have not watched the movie, then please do not read this review. I will be surprised if SW fans like yourself have not watch this spin-off. To add on, I am integrating many references and facts which can be found in the informative DK Star Wars Rogue One (Ultimate Visual Guide). Without further ado, let me indulge you guys in this review. Movie spoilers ahead (potential), read at your own risk. Name: 75152 Imperial Assault Hovertank Theme: LEGO System / Licensed / Star Wars / Rogue One Year: 2016 Pieces: 385 Minifigs: 3 Price: USD $29.99, GBP 29.99, EURO 29.99, SGD $79.90 Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An original box image of the 75152 Imperial Assault Hovertank Back view of the original box image of the 75152 Imperial Assault Hovertank The latest new LEGO Star Wars Rogue One minifigures addition The strong assault hovertank will tear the taunting rebellion apart The Imperial Empire has continued to build their ground arsenal and successfully developed an armoured tank with cargo transport capabilities for added protection since the end of Clone Wars. The Empire has an impressive starfleet and is actively occupying many planets. It will also require a strong ground assault vehicles to manage the occupation against those resistance elements and for law & order. The Imperial Assault Hovertank is appearing for the first time in the Star Wars Rogue One series and the first in the Star Wars universe. This tank was seen briefly in the Battle of Jedha. Don't underestimate the capabilities and you probably realise too late that it can battle effectively in tight corners against guerrilla operations. The content of the sealed box The sealed box comes with four numbered mint packs and are numbered from one to four. The instruction manual are part of the content. After the set is built, these are the remaining spare parts which are spread across the packs. You can view the spare parts for packet 1, packet 2, packet 3 and packet 4. The continuation of these awesome new LEGO Rogue One minifigures Let's glance at these minifigures from the smallest 2016 Star Wars Rogue One set. From left to right, we have Chirrut ÃŽmwe and two Imperial Hovertank Pilots. I am very fond with these minifigures especially with their detailed printing. Upon removing their helmets and hairpieces, you can see back view of the minifigures with their alternate facial expression. All of the minifigures are featured with impressive back printing. All of these minifigures are unique to this set and if you wish to get Chirrut ÃŽmwe who is one of the main characters of Rogue One, then this set is a must-to-get set. Chirrut ÃŽmwe is a former Guradian of the Whills, along with his best friend, Baze Malbus. He believed that all living things are connected through the Force. His sightless eyes do not prevent him to become one man to beat ten men, quoted by Ip Man. Although Chirrut ÃŽmwe is not a Jedi, but he continued to hone his body through intense physical and mental discipline. The famous quote in the Rogue One Movie is, "The Force is with me, and I am with the Force, and I fear nothing for all as the Force wills it." His choice of weapons include the handcrafted lightbow as ranged weapon and walking staff for melee combat. The minifigure printing is very impressive and it even take consideration of his 'Echo Box' at his waist, which transmits assists in situational awareness. These Imperial Hovertank Pilots are responsible for the Empire's Ground Assault Vehicles. They drive everything from troop transports to heavily armed combat tanks. These drivers are lightly armoured and rely on their armoured vehicles for protection. In the Planet of Jedha, these drivers steer the mighty TX-225 combat assault tanks aka Imperial Assault Hovertanks through the narrow avenue of the Holy City, demonstrating their superior firepower and escorting the kyber shipments extracted from the ground. They normally don't work alone and work together with other Stromtroopers on ground and also obtaining their superior air support for additional cover. The entire building content for Packet 1 The completed built for Packet 1 The completed built for the first packet is to form the front of the hovertank and cockpit structure through mainly grey bricks. This packet also include Chirrut ÃŽmwe minifigure. The entire building content for Packet 2 The completed built for Packet 2 The completed built of packet 2 is focused mainly on the left side of the vehicular mechanics and firepower. The entire building content for Packet 3 The completed built for Packet 3 The completed built of packet 3 is focused mainly on the left side of the vehicular mechanics and firepower. It also include two Imperial Assault Hovertank Pilots. The entire building content for Packet 4 The completed built of the Imperial Assault Hovertank This is the completed built for the Imperial Assault Hovertank aka known as Imperial TX-225 Assault Tank. It's menacing appearance is largely made up of dull grey facade. This Imperial Assault Hovertank measures over 8cm high, 20cm long and 14cm wide. It is very fun to play with for merely battling or cargo transport escort. It can fulfill both of these functions very well. With some troopers on the ground escorting with the tank for added security, it's even better when you can form a column or envoy with two or three of these Imperial Assault Hovertanks. I think that will be pretty impressive and for this reason, I bought an extra set for it. When I compared with the similar type, 75100 First Order Snowspeeder, this is so much better and impressive. There are several playing mechanisms which can be seen from here and here. There are shooting spring-shot missiles from the front and adjusting the various weapon features like the Dymek 2e/w medium laser cannon at both sides, a pair of forward-locked antipersonnel Dymek 2e/w medium laser cannon at the front and commander's gun at the cockpit top. The achievement of making it hover looking is done very well through those wheels beneath the base which make it subtly well hidden. The opening of the vehicular cockpit was a slight disappointment to me. By right, there should be a opening at the hatch where the Tank Commander can stand up to man the position. Well, it does achieve some sort of opening for the driver and commander at the front which you can see their seating over here. Our Eurobricks Duke, Forresto have done some modifications to the hatch and I am very pleased with it with that simple modification. Other members also done some modifications on their own too. This storage container can contain weapons, bombs and even precious cargo like kyber crystals. It can be opened by lifting the container lid which is pretty simple to play. I love the idea of having a tank becoming a cargo transport too. It is just like a 2 in 1 multipurpose. You can see the storage container safely placed at the rear of the Imperial Assault Hovertank. These are the images of the Imperial Assault Hovertank which can be viewed from the front, side view, bottom view and back view. Let's take those hovertanks down Band of Rebels The force is with me and I am with the force To conclude, this set is an above average LEGO Rogue One set. I like it very much and is fun to play with to form many battle scenes with this AT-ST or AT-AT. I look forward to acquire a few more of these if is heavily discounted The minifigures assortment are great and the design is realistic and stayed close to the actual reference. If you are a huge fan of Rogue One or want to complete some of these unique minifigures, this set is not to be missed. What do you think of it? Will you like to get this set too? Summary review Playability: 9/10 (Fun playability on the transport escort aspect and great to 'hover' it around.) Design: 8/10 (Good original design but needs some improvement on the hatch lid as it is unable to open it.) Price: 6/10 (Price is much reasonable elsewhere but now I know Singapore SRP is on the high side which is very disappointing which will certainly deter me from buying here.) Overall: 7.7/10 (Do get this set and complete your Rogue One collection.) I gave it a "4" based on my Review Score Card. What about you? I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are welcomed. Pictures can be found in My Flickr.

Is it? Oh boy, I am totally not aware of this promotion. If is available here via reasonable means, then it will be worthwhile. I am sure the promotion is no longer around.

Thank you and glad you managed to secure it. However, I do not have the Kiss Kiss Batman and I am unable to take that picture for comparison.

Hello everyone, I am very pleased to share my next simple unique polybag review of the LEGO Batman Movie. This polybag is incredibly uncommon and Singapore is one of the fortunate countries where I am able to secure this highly sought polybag upon minimum purchase of SGD$60.00 at Toys R US on any LEGO products on a single receipt. So far, I have not seen this polybag appearing elsewhere, other than perhaps Malaysia and Hong Kong. I am not exactly sure of the availability and I wonder if there will be any restriction to the availability. Since the polybag printed the piece count on it, I believe it is a matter of time before we see them in the United States. Without further ado, let me begin with this fantastic one-of-a-kind polybag review. Name: 5004929 Batman Battle Pod Theme: LEGO System / Licensed / The LEGO Batman Movie Year: 2017 Pieces: 24 Minifigs: 1 minifigure Price: USD N.A, GBP N.A, EURO N.A, SGD N.A Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An original polybag image of the 5004929 Batman Battle Pod Back view of the original polybag image of the 5004929 Batman Battle Pod Grab your Battle Pod and bring your Batman whenever you go This is certainly a must-get promotional polybag for the LEGO Batman Movie which also include the 30607 Disco Batman and Tears of Batman. You can give every other LEGO Batman Movie polybags a miss, other than these two mentioned polybags. It is because the minifigures inside these polybags are strictly unique and only made available in those polybags and nowhere else. This is also the first time where I see such quite a big item contained in a polybag. It's rather strange to see such a well designed pod being featured in such promotional giveaway. I really wonder what other usage will this Battle Pod serve. It is a very innovative concept to market this Batman minifigure and is definitely the first to see such approach. The LEGO building content The polybag contains 24 building parts. When I opened the bag, this is the actual polybag content and the building parts are contain in the Battle Pod in a sealed plastic bag. There is an instruction manual to guide you on how to build the gadget holding area at the side of the Battle Pod. There is nil extra parts. Tiger Tuxedo Batman The completed built of the Tiger Tuxedo Batman is pretty nicely done. By the way, this is not the official name but just a term which I coined to describe this beloved minifigure. As there are many amazing colourful vibrant minifigures in the LEGO Batman Movie, this is just a superb addition to Batman costume closet. The minifigure contain good all roudned printing. You can view the front view with the original facial appearance and turning behind to see the alternate facial appearance. This is also a nice photo of the back view and side view. A closer look at the gadget holding area The completed built of the gadget holding area is above average, especially with the inclusion of the 2x2 control alert printed tile and Batman's gears. The holding mechanism is placed nicely for these accessories to hold firm. When the Battle Pod is closed with the minifigure inside, it fit and close nicely. You can view the the other side of the stickered background view where the minifigure is placed for the illustration of Bat Cave at the back. I seriously wondering if we will ever see this Battle Pod elsewhere. It's similar to the kind of hi-tech gear attached to Batman's utility belt or something. On a side note, I even regard it as a Pokemon with the stored minifigure in there and throw it across, screaming "I choose you". No punts intended. My Valentine date to Joker Clubhouse I have ordered special pizza delivery for our date I have more new costume designs To conclude, this is an excellent above average LEGO Batman Movie polybag which will be highly sought after. This is one of the best polybag selections so far in the LEGO Batman Movie and it is now coupling with retail promotion. I do not encourage you to buy them at a premium secondary market pricing and it is rather insane to pay so much like about USD$25 to acquire this minifigure? Wait for the demand to quell down and hopefully more of these polybags made it to public, this will definitely bring down those ridiculous pricing. I am willing to get this polybag only because it was on a reasonable promotion and I am very happy to add this new Batman costume among my priceless collection. Summary review Playability: 8/10 (Good minifigure which can be combined with existing LEGO Batman Movie sets and expand it further.) Design: 8/10 (Good minifigure design and thumbs up for the very good attempt for the new Battle Pod.) Price: 8/10 (One of the best promotional polybag giveaway in the LEGO Batman Movie and do get it as free gift whenever possible or pay at a reasonable price of no more than USD$15 or less.) Overall: 8/10 (Wonderful polybag design which I am very pleased to acquire it in my collection.) I gave it a "5" based on my Review Score Card. What about yours? I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are strongly welcomed. Pictures can be found in My Flickr.

REVIEW: 71018 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17

Thank you everyone. My first round of images updated in the review and also provided below for quick reference, Yes, I need to plan and think on my drawing board to dictate on what I wish to focus and associate for individual minifigures. That need time to prepare, including taking my personal collection out of storage. Thank you for your kind words! As for Q1, my expression is *ahem*. As for Q2, the illustrated perceived image could be the most appropriate interpretation. Nope, I am not allow to describe or share my thoughts as I do not know what it is based on official terms. Haha, I really hope so. That sound very exciting indeed. Tom Bombadil, thank you. It was really fun to review and piece all of the past CMFs history altogether. I truly believe that CMFs is a very special theme which set no limit in imagination without the need of bricks to attract fans. The innovative designs which we have conastantly seen in the CMFs series is a testament of how incredible this entire theme is. Nope, it's not the same size as the standard mixel joint. Yes, it should be posted in English and thank you for interpretinng on my behalf. The earlier post is ok, on this exception. -

REVIEW: 71018 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17
WhiteFang replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you everyone for all of your thoughts and comments. It's nice to read them and to know what you think about this new series and review. I must not have been paying much attention to the rumours. Brick Dangerous, thank you for sharing your honest feedback and critic. I respect your opinion and I know is impossible to make everyone happy no matter what is the kind of output. However, this still provide some insight to an alternate viewpoint. Reviewing is a form of art and different Reviewers have very different creativity approach to present a product. Different people have different way of showing and sharing their opinions without comprising the basic integral reviewing structure. I choose to write as a form of paper submission in an organised fashion and in this review, I have took significant steps to reduce the length of the review to the best I can, like reducing 180 images to about 120 images. The unnecessary paragraphs are also removed with the intent to shorten it. If I make the images smaller (lesser than 800x600) and more of click and view or even making the thumbnails, it will be much harder to make clue of what you wish to focus. Thank you. It's a fine balance in terms of how much content I wish to put out or if I should review for the sake of reviewing. Thank you, I really appreciate your encouraging thoughts. Thank you. I am not taking any of these critics/comments personally, so please don't worry anything. Just that, with this much reviewing and the amount of work and time which I put in, I just don't know if my review context is still ever so relevant in modern times after 7 years of releasing. Don't mind me. -

REVIEW: 71018 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17
WhiteFang replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you everyone for your thoughtful comments. It was very nice of you guys to share these encouraging thoughts with me and your observations towards this Series 17. At first, I thought this series was quite weak but in actual after closer inspection, this is actually quite a powerful series with lots of retro stuff in there. I am sure there is at least a few minifigures for everyone out there even though you are not out for a complete series. Really appreciate your time to share your comments. I look forward to share the second half with you guys as soon as is possible. Well, I have done some significant reduction and personally the fun part for me to make this review is the cross integration from past CMFs series as well as existing LEGO sets. It was a fun placeholder minifigure and I don't intend to photoshop the silhouette character in my images. Haha, well it's still a wiener nonetheless. Sure thing! I will find an opportunity when is possible. How about Series 18? Are you referring the LEGO Ninjago Movie as Series 18 instead? I thought Series 18 should be the next traditional series? Yes, that's exactly my point. Thank you. Same here, rejoice Classic Space fans! -
