  2. Well, I think those who are still lurking behind those curtains and yet not voice out, are my greatest concern.
  3. I was just away for awhile, trying to find an exit but to no avail. It's clearly that we must eradicate our scummy foes in order to win. Day 1 normally is very shady and hard to nail our foes and the voting patterns that were thrown out is an attempt to sell the blockbusters. One thing for sure, we ought to see what we can do in order to get a sustaintive result and that's by voting someone out who we think is of a concerned threat.
  4. Morning everyone. I don't expect to see more unfortunate event and we just want to do our job right. Those bloody Burpamounts are just jeopardizing our lives and our jobs. We are already committed to make great movies in Brickywood.
  5. Hello everyone, I am very pleased to present my latest reviewing adventure on this brand new LEGO Minifigures - LEGO Ninjago Movie Series which will be available worldwide in August 2017. Before I start my pictorial review, I would like to give my sincere thanks to The LEGO Group (TLG) which include the LEGO CEE and LEGO Collectable Minifigures Design Team. I have also reduced the amount of images and text in this review as well. I can't believe I had completed 24 exhaustive LEGO pictorial reviews including this current review, solely for the coverage of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series / LEGO Minifigures Theme throughout the past seven years. Thank you to all my special people in my life for supporting in my reviewing endeavor in this LEGO CMFs journey. Most importantly, I had left out this very single important person and I was reminded. My biggest thank you to my beloved wife, Belun for supporting my reviewing work. Following Eurobricks tradition for all of the past Collectable Minifigures polls once more, it started with a humble beginning of Series 1 followed by Series 2 in the year 2010 and it continue to spread like wildfire with another three strong waves of minifigures craze in the year 2011, putting Series 3, Series 4 and Series 5 in an excellent harvesting year. In the year 2012, we celebrated with Series 6, Series 7 and recent Series 8. With the year 2013, we have the Series 9, Series 10 and Series 11. In the year 2014, we seen the LEGO Movie Series, The first LEGO Simpsons Series and Series 12. In the year 2015, we had the Series 13, LEGO Simpsons Series 2 and Series 14. In the year 2016, we seen the Series 15, LEGO Disney Series 1 and Series 16. Right now in the year 2017, we have the LEGO Batman Movie Series and Series 17 and the next poll which I would like to invite the Eurobricks Community to cast their votes is for this new LEGO Ninjago Movie Series poll statistics as well. You can see the monorail and traditional shops in the background. [Reference 1] [Reference 2] [Reference 3] [Reference 4] What could possibly lurk within these mysterious sealed packets? The CMFs excitement has continued into the world of LEGO Ninjago This newest CMFs revolved around the latest LEGO Blockbuster movie - The LEGO Ninjago Movie, which is slated for a premiere release on 22 September 2017. This is also the second attempt where we see a large release of 20 unique minifigures, after LEGO Batman Movie. This particular CMFs series is also the third LEGO movies range. I suppose LEGO CMFs and LEGO movies are an ideal partnership to expand the scope of these awesome minifigures without the need of sets release. I am glad to see this release and fans of this particular product range, are simply no stranger to many of these existing characters. The CMFs characters in this series focused mainly on the movie content. I can certainly assure you that this review is spoilers-free and the review will contain LEGO related content. So, what are you waiting for? Can't wait to find out more details on these lovely minifigures? Some lucky folks in Billund have discovered it in the BIG Shop in LEGOLAND, while some of our US friends are also able to see them on the store shelves. IMPORTANT: Please note that the naming for all 20 minifigures, where applicable, that I have use for this review are official TLG minifigures naming for the LEGO Minifigures - LEGO Ninjago Movie Series. Front view comparison with NInjago Movie Series and together with all available LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 1 to 17, LEGO Movie, Simpsons 1 and 2, Disney Series 1 and LEGO Team GB packets, DFB Series and Batman Movie Series I have placed all 25 different minifigures packets including the LEGO Team GB and the LEGO DFB Football packets as part of my overall comparison. From the aerial image, you can see an impressive transformation of LEGO CMFs Series 1 to the recent LEGO Batman Movie Series and now to the current LEGO Ninjago Movie Series. It is wonderful to see the entire range of CMFs assorted packet designs at one glance. The LEGO Minifigures Theme continued and remained as a very strong contender in the TLG product range since 2010 with a total of 25 different releases including regional exclusives. Take a closer look at the following images. This is the front view of the LEGO Ninjago Movie Series packet, while this shows the back view of it. This is an image that shows the back view comparison for all of these packets. Simple reminder to my regular CMFs readers. If you are intending to collect the precious and hard-to-find minifigures, hone your skills for the touch and feel method. This is an important skill set in order to locate the minifigures that you want without spending too much money by randomly acquire them, especially so when you are intending to buy large quantities. Your sole mission is to memorise and remember the minifigures assortments for each of the specialised designs. Isolate and identify the most unique accessory or accessories for the particular minifigure. From there, eliminate the torso, head and legs and feel for the other parts. The sole disadvantage of this method is that much time would be wasted if the minifigures that you are looking for have been taken from the box. You might also end up with sore numb thumbs after feeling them. Front view of the LEGO Ninjago Movie Series promotional poster Back view of the LEGO Ninjago Movie Series promotional poster 1) Kai Kendo Without further ado, let's bring out the first character from the LEGO Ninjago Movie Series. Meet the fiery firing Ninja, Kai. He wield the fire element and part of his spinjitzu training include kendo. He is a particularly nice looking character, which is fitting to be modify into a classic samurai with his traditional samurai armour and with a little twist to his headgear. His facial appearance showed his determination and hardship in his training. These are the past LEGO variants of Kai since 2011. Parts assortment The parts assortment are above average. There is an extra headpiece, where Kai can put on the kendo helmet. The black samurai armour is my favourite part and I hope this can be made easily available. The brown rods/sticks are common parts. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front, side and back view. We are ready for war Kendo Practice 2) Spinjitzu Training Nya Next we have Nya, who is Kai's sister. She is currently in her spinjitzu training outfit. She was also earlier known as Samurai X and later on found an affinity in spinjitzu. She currently wield the water element. She is also the only female member among the gifted ninja. This minifigure doesn't quite appeal to me as compared to Kai Kendo. I did wish she can be equipped with some samurai gears. These are the past Nya minifigure designs since the inception of Samurai X. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average, with the inclusion of two wooden katanas for training. The white traditional grab is also quite nice to modify around. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front, side and back view. That woman is crazy Are you a strong warrior? 3) Lloyd The next character is the green Ninja, Lloyd. He used to be the big bad guy, following in his father's footsteps. Things changed for the better and Lloyd now fights for the safety of Ninjago City. He wield the rare energy element. This is one of my favourite minifigure in this series. Getting a green ninja plus tons of goodies in this packet, is just too tempting for me. These are the past Lloyd minifigure designs in his green ninja outfits. Parts assortment The parts assortment are excellent. You get the brand new weapon, dadao and the knob beneath it. It has a very good grip to it, unlike the traditional LEGO scimitar. The 2x4 printed blueprint of the mechanical dragon is just brilliant. This is also the first time where the traditional ninja hood is split between top and bottom. Not to forget, the extra hairpiece for Lloyd in his finest appearance. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front, side and back view. Different Lloyd outfits Ninja Warriors 4) Master Wu Master Wu or previously known as Sensei Wu. He is the teacher for these gifted ninja. His minifigure design is almost identical with his past set appearances. Well, I am not exactly sure why the close association of corn flakes with Master Wu. Guess, we will know more about this comedic feature when the movie is release. These are the past Sensei Wu minifigure variants from earlier seasons. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average other than the white skirting robe and the delicious printed corn flakes box which is a huge thumbs up. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front, side and back view. Corn Flakes advertisement Queuing up for corn flakes 5) Garmadon The evil Garmadon was the First Spinjitzu Master's firstborn son, Wu's older brother, Misako's late husband, and Lloyd's father. In his youth, he was bitten by The Great Devourer and infected with evil. He is the main antagonist throughout the cartoon series. I suspect in this upcoming LEGO Ninjago Movie, he will continue to play his villainy role. These are the past minifigure designs of Garmadon. I think this is quite a nice taunting character and I am particularly fond of his new round brim straw hat. That will certainly be a very useful accessory. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average. I think the biggest attraction for me, is the round brim straw hat. The weapon is quite average and simple looking. Do note that the bottom torso is a regular torso, whereas the upper torso is a much smaller sizing. It can't be fit as a regular torso. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of side and back view. Different Garmadon outifts Will you like to join me? 6) Jay Walker The next Ninjago character is the hyper Jay Walker. He is the blue ninja and wield the element of lighting. It is nice to see a different and relaxing side of Jay in his vacation scenic outfit. His attire is very suitable for a typical winter sonata drama scene with his long orange scarf. I think the usage of promulgating the selfie stick in a LEGO environment is really funny. I suppose is what you call keeping up with the world. These are the past Jay minifigure designs variants. Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly above average. I like his warm fuzzy outfit with his iconic blue look. The selfie stick is quite simple and easy to replicate with your LEGO spare parts. The mobile phone with Jay face on the selfie is brilliant. You could probably infer that this is quite a modern looking smartphone right in our pocket. The orange long scarf is really nicely captured and I hope to see them in more common places. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of side and back view. Different Jay outfits This is a nice selfie stick We are in need of a good vacation 7) Lloyd Garmadon I am quite surprised to see Lloyd has another design variant in this movie series. In this case, this minifigure is distinguished as Lloyd Garmadon. I love this minifgure design very much and the more youthful teenager look with a tint of his signature green. I am actually pleased to see this minifigure and it somehow remind me of a pop star, but the name kind of evade me. Parts assortment The parts assortment are above average. I love the kitchen utensils very much. The spoon and the lovely porcelain bowl are just splendid. I can just easily recognise the drawing in my own kitchen. The hood is a new design and it is not completely covered plus his hair fringe on the front. This is quite a good improvement unlike the traditional hood which you could normally see them in Obi Wan Kenobi - Star Wars. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of side and back view. Farm staycation Oriental Food This is a nice hoodie 8) Cole Cole is the black ninja and wield the earth element. I didn't know he is into music and his attire is just so sports looking. I haven't figure out the meaning or translation for Ninjago wordings yet. I know Brickset has recently shared a very interesting article on the language of Ninjago. Do take a look. Other than that, I think this is yet a nice generic City minifigure to be added. These are his other minifigure designs in the earlier sets. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average. I am extremely fond of the new stereo player. This is so awesome when you compared with the first Series 3 - Rapper where it used a cassette tape. In this latest stereo player, you can place a digital music player and sync for added boosters. The expression and hairstyle are also equally good. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of side and back view. Different Cole outfits Check out my latest player Breakdance Performance 9) Misako I am very confident that this Misako minifigure is definitely a much younger version of her. There must be a logical explanation with the elder looking, Misako. I suppose the movie could explain it all or avid LEGO Ninjago fans could already have the answer. This minifigure is pretty and lovely looking and it has a detailed badge which showed her name or nickname as 'Koko'. I wonder what's her occupation or role in this movie. So far, we have only seen her other variant in the 70751 Temple of Airjitzu. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average. The handbag accessory is certainly useful to add into the wide range of female minifigure accessories. The bundled hair is also tied up nicely and I wonder if she had actually used a chopstick to wind and fix her hair up. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of side and back view. Arriving for work It's nice to meet someone famous like you 10) Zane Here comes the cyborg white ninja, Zane who wield the ice element. Well, he is not in his typical ninja outfit but rather in his self exploration mode. This time, Zane had suited up for his hiking attire. This is quite a simple minifigure and I find the lack of accessory rather disturbing. This is the second time we had seen a similar hiker design and I would expect to see a compass or map or even some sort of food to ease his hunger pans. A little tweak with the head and you will get another regular City hiker with the love of cosmos aliens. I am not quite fond of this minifigure and I would prefer to choose any of his past minifigure variants. Parts assortment The parts assortment are below average. You only get a new different colour variant for the backpack. I really wish there are more accessories for this minifigure. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front, side and back view. Different Zane outfit Hello fellow Hiker Trekking in unknown area Ninjago Protagonists 11) Shark Army General #1 This is the first new evil henchman introduction. I suppose Garmadon had enlisted the mighty Shark Army in the invasion of Ninjago City. This female elitist looking with the war medals on her uniform, you could easily guess she is the army general in her demeaning appearance. She hold a strawberry smoothie in favour of tactical war plans. Guess this is what I called 'play it cool'. She is actually quite a sweet minifigure and what is with the reference of #1. Are there many other army generals in this movie? Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly above average. You get a new extra smoothie flavour. There is a nice plastic firm cape of the upper and lower layer which kind of illustrates like aqua fins or aerial dynamic flaps. The hairstyle can be adjusted even though I still prefer the hairstyle to be straight unlike the one in the official leaflet. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of side and back view. My shark army Who should I choose? 12) Shark Army Octopus The next soldier type is the Octopus within the Shark Army Ranks. This minifigure is very lovely and cute. Cute is hardly a word for me to describe a bad guy. The octopus headpiece really got into me and is very iconic to this character and other characters within the Shark Army. I would imagine coming out of the sea and start *pew pew* at the random citizens in Ninjago City. This is also the first CMFs character to ever equip with a stud gun shooter. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average. There is a fish which act like a baton and a stud gun shooter. The aquatic oxygen chamber at the rear and the octopus helmet can actually fit nicely on one another. This minifigure is actually human soldier and it used the sea creature nature as a form of attack. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front, side and back view. Your underwater city belong to us You will be punished Trooper, identify yourself Meet the Octopus Boss 13) Shark Army Angler The next minifigure in line, is the Shark Army Angler. The Angler is quite a dangerous hunter fish and I find it a surprise that it was a female soldier behind the angler mask. She used the extended fish mace to whack the enemies. Do note that the plastic is quite firm and a little bit sticky for the angler helmet. The material is hard plastic. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average. You get more fish and is probably due to an upcoming LEGO Ideas set like the 21310 Old Fishing Store. This minifigure also used the same mace as the Frightening Knight in Series 15 and there is a new oxygen tank design for the angler. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front, side and back view. Get that crazy angler away from us Sea Monster Army Encounter with Angler Sea Monster 14) Shark Army Great White The last in line for the Shark Army is actually the fierce-some Great White Shark. He act like the flamethrower of the army battalion and like to set things ablaze through his fish torch. He has quite a nasty looking appearance. The battery on his oxygen tank seems rather low battery, and I wanted if it meant anything because his other soldiers companions are having a healthy battery life. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average. You get a black fish with flame and an oxygen tank. I noticed his torso is somehow similar to the Army General #1 and I wonder if he was kicked out of the army or somehow? You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of front, side and back view. Hatching an evil plot Different type of sharks Burn them down Great White or Orca The greatest army ever Invasion 15) Flashback Garmadon Well, let's see the friendly daddy appearance of Garmadon. This must be a flashback of Garmadon memories where he aim to be a good father to Lloyd. This is not exactly his correct outer appearance but I suppose is ok for him to dream. He bring his camera and a photo which somehow very sure remind me of Garmadon volcanic lair. This design is quite a fatherly looking when he wear the brown polo tee and his long black tie. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average. The camera is pretty standard and the attire is quite useful to modify for other city purpose. I think the 2x2 printed tile is a very good plus point in this design but the rest of it are not very eye-catching to me. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of side and back view. I am leaving here for good 16) Volcano Garmadon This is the last variant of Garmadon. As you can see, Garmadon is wearing his favourite pyjamas attire with his volcano lair as the main prints. He look like he is ready to have his nice supper or perhaps wanting to feed someone. This is quite a nice looking variant but isn't so impressive other than his equipped accessories which I am interested in. Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly above average. The new black samurai helmet is what I am eyeing for, to modify my samurai armies. On top of that, you get a new green porcelain bowl and spoon for your kitchen stuff. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of side and back view. Garmadon variants This must be a nightmare 17) Gong & Guitar Rocker The Gong & Guitar Rocker is the pinnacle of Ninjago City music festival. It is nice to see more new variants of LEGO musicians. I am sure fans of guitar collectors would love to get hold of this new design. He certainly have the punk rocker look with a little bit of Asian flavour. It is great to amass more of these talented folks together. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average. The red electric guitar could be a bonus to collectors who are into LEGO electric guitars. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of side and back view. This is the only minifigure in this series with an alternate facial expression. Rockers Fiesta Can I join your jam? Face off 18) GPL Tech This lady is a GPL Tech, which I assume is some technical wizard and expert in computing. I think she work in a research firm or something which will ensure the proper protection of cyber security of Ninjago City. I suppose her work is quite tough and long hours on computing which resulted in her thick glasses. She is also a huge fan of Batman. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average. It include the regular laptop computer and red mug. You can take a closer look at the opened laptop computer. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of side and back view. Welcome to our facility Am I dreaming? 19) Sushi Chef The Sushi Chef is the latest food profession, being made available to Ninjago City. It offer an opportunity for the minifigures to enjoy exotic Japanese cuisine. The minifigure is pretty accurate in terms of the design and he looks real proficient is preparing the sashmi maki roll. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average. The 1x1 printed circular tiles are very nice and those are just the sushi bites which we want to serve to the City minifigures. The knife chopper is the same as the butcher. I am very pleased to see You can also take a closer look at the sushi roll. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of side and back view. Wow, you are a sushi chef 20) N-POP Girl This is the last minifigure and the very minifigure which will be the instant popular hit. The N-POP Girl is very colourful like a rainbow. Similar to J-POP (Japanese Pop) and K-POP (Korean Pop), I would safely assume N-POP referred to as Ninjago Pop, This is just going to be a sensational hit with the new star in the limelight. Furthermore, the close association simply just make the whole cute factor up one notch. This is definitely one of my top 3 favourite minifigures in this series. Parts assortment The parts assortment are excellent. You get a nice dual coloured of pastel blue and pink. The ballerina are also very colourful accompanied with her whole outfit. The pink teddy bear is simply brilliant and you get an additional variant of the teddy bear. The uni-kitty design on her dress simply make this whole minifigure splendid. You can view more of the details from the all rounded view inclusive of side and back view. Aren't you the popular N-POP star? Working on the latest MTV Friends Forever Meet n Greet Session Teddy Bears Festival My complete teddy bears collection Feel good without our prop hairpieces General Statistics for 71019 LEGO Minifigures - LEGO Ninjago Movie Series Below is the combination which I have received from my box, 3 Kai Kendo(s) 3 Spinjitzu Training Nya(s) 3 Lloyd(s) 3 Master Wu(s) 3 Garmadon(s) 3 Jay Walker(s) 3 Lloyd Garmadon(s) 3 Cole(s) 3 Misako(s) 3 Zane(s) 3 Shark Army General #1(s) 3 Shark Army Octopus(s) 3 Shark Army Angler(s) 3 Shark Army Great White(s) 3 Flashback Garmadon(s) 3 Volcano Garmadon(s) 3 Gong & Guitar Rocker(s) 3 GPL Tech(s) 3 Sushi Chef(s) 3 N-POP Girl(s) Based on the above distribution, I have managed to achieve three full complete sets of 20 one-of-a kind minifigures each. This is the second time in LEGO CMFs history, where three full complete sets and nil spares can be achieved. This will make many collectors very happy, by simply buying a mint box and shared among your friends and families. There is nothing much to analysis since all of the minifigures are equally distributed. We shall see which minifigure will be the most popular and hard-to-find once it is out in the public. It's very hard to predict, but my only guess is N-POP Girl and just maybe Lloyd. I am not sure what other minifigures could be hardly sought after. The LEGO Minifigures - LEGO Ninjago Movie Series will be launching on the 1st August 2017 (worldwide) To conclude, the LEGO Ninjago Movie Series has continued to expand on the good track record of CMFs by populating more diversifying minifigures in the LEGO universe. With this wide variations, you can increase the minifigures in your LEGO City or Ninja Empire. It always excite me to see a brand new box of wild CMFs ideas and even though this is not the original CMFs tradition. This is still equally important to see a LEGO blockbuster movie being made into a CMFs and for the record, this is the third attempt. I am fond of non licensed CMFs and LEGO Ninjago Movie Series does not count as licensed because it contain original ideas from TLG. The LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series or known as LEGO Minifigures Theme shall always be a rare commanding class of their own, which distinguish themselves from regular LEGO Theme and special releases. It has been a very long standing tradition and yet they are able to retain the charm and excitement, until today. Henceforth, let's wait for the official release of the movies and see if the Ninjago CMFs have gotten you hype up. Update: I just went to see the latest LEGO Ninjago Movie sets and I did not expect to see Lloyd and Garmadon being so commonly available in those sets with minimum variants. I always feel CMFs should be unique even though the character is rehash. That add quite abit of disappointment for me and I am not very happy about it. Even though TLG like to give others an opportunity to own more of these characters but I don't find there is a great need to just replicate it to make it up for the 20. Now with a total of 379 minifigures released for the entire Series 1 to 17, the LEGO Movie Series, LEGO Simpsons Series 1 to 2, Disney LEGO Minifigures, LEGO Batman Movie series and the current LEGO Ninjago Movie, not including Mr. Gold which unfortunately I do not have the blessings or lucky stars to own it till this date, and the special exclusive Toy Soldier and Zombie Skateboarder minifigures that can only be obtained through The Minifigures Character Encyclopedia books respectively. At such accelerated releasing rate, I wonder if anyone can keep up with the display shelving area as we factor to accommodate space for future expansion. For myself, I don't have the space to display all of them anymore until much further notice. Meanwhile, I really wonder what exciting new series will TLG have for us. Only time will tell and let's be patient about it. I am confident that it will be worth the wait as always. Please note that all opinions and content shown in this Eurobricks pictorial review is from 'WhiteFang' and is not meant to represent LEGO official views. It is purely stated to share as a vantage point of a reviewer. 14. Dear Eurobricks Community, Allow me to present my latest Marvel Superheroes reviewing attempt. Hope you enjoy reading it. WhiteFang
  15. Hello everyone, I am a huge fan of Superheroes, in particular Marvel Universe. Whenever LEGO release new Superheroes characters or different variants, I would always look out for it. This particular medium set which I am going to review, comprise quite a fair mix of different feelings towards the overall built. Why would I feel this way? I suppose you can read on to find my thoughts in this review. Without further ado, let's bring on this particular segment to our Eurobricks Community. Name: 76077 Iron Man: Detroit Steel Strikes Theme: LEGO System / Licensed / Marvel Superheroes Year: 2017 Pieces: 377 Minifigs: 3 Price: USD $29.99, GBP 29.99, EURO 34.99, SGD $69.90 Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An original box image of the 76077 Iron Man: Detroit Steel Strikes Back view of the original box image of the 76077 Iron Man: Detroit Steel Strikes Who's the real beauty in this set? This medium size set comprise of two protagonists and one antagonist which somehow reminded me of the earlier Marvel Cinematic Universe movie of Iron Man 2. Although this set is not a pure representation of the movie, but it based on the own merits from the Marvel comics where the designer was originally inspired to develop the set into a decent built set. In this set, we are getting a new variant of Iron Man and a new Iron Man deadly foe. More importantly, let's first get the Marvel fans rejoice in celebration. We have finally seen the official LEGO minifigure of Agent Coulson in this set. I was wondering when we are going to see this character since his other S.H.I.E.L.D counterparts, Maria Hill was only seen in the 76042 The Shield Helicarrier. I simply can't hold back my emotions when I had finally seen Agent Coulson in his official representation especially when we had seen other S.H.I.E.L.D operatives like Director Nick Fury, Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton. This kind of summarised for me, that this set is in other words a minifigure bait to buy this set without hesitation. The content of the sealed box The sealed box come with three numbered mint packs. The instruction manuals and comic are part of the content. This set also contained the dreaded sticker sheet in its sorry state. I did not do anything to it and it looked like this when I took it out from in-between the manuals. I did not apply stickers for this set and in this review. After the set is completed, these are the remaining spare parts which are spread across the packs. You can view the spare parts for packet 1, packet 2 and packet 3. The new LEGO Marvel Superheroes minifigures These are the latest minifigures from the first quarter of 2017 LEGO Marvel Superheroes minifigures and are unique to this set. From left to right, we have Agent Coulson, Invincible Iron Man and Justin Hammer. Upon removing their helmets and hairpieces, you can see back view of the minifigures with their alternate facial expressions. All of the minifigures are featured with impressive back printing. You can amaze at their minifigure life appearance without their shade or helmets attached. The Invincible Iron Man also had the new playing element known as the power blast where you can push the element inward from the minifigure hand and fire forward. I did not particularly enjoy playing with this feature as I do not know if it will damage the minifigure's arm. It is definitely fun for the children but for AFOLs, I am not too confident about it. Alternatively, I can just leave the power blast element as it is. The Invincible Iron Man is the 15th variant of the LEGO Iron Man minifigures series. The helmet cannot be lifted upwards like the other Iron Man suits. This variant look more like the animated Iron Man cartoon in the 1990s but is more accurately reflected in the Invincible Iron Man comic book. This minifigure is not a huge appeal factor to me, but it is certainly good to have it in the collection. The antagonist, Justin Hammer is a business rival to Stark Industries. Justin is the CEO of Hammer Industries. He constantly developed mech suits which can be as advanced and sophisticated like the Iron Man suits in order to bring down Tony Stark business empire into crumbles. Thankfully, Justin is in his mech costume versus his business attire. The main appeal factor among the minifigure is Agent Coulson. He is a pretty iconic character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the drama series of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I am extremely fond of this character very much as there are many attempts among the LEGO community where we seek to create his LEGO identity. I sincerely hope with the introduction of this character, we may just have a chance to see other Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D characters such as May and Skye in 2018 Marvel Inhumans Movie. The entire building content for Packet 1 The completed built for Packet 1 The completed built for the first packet is to build the iconic Red Lola which is a huge appeal to this set and another bigger reason to buy it. The packet also contain the minifigure of Agent Coulson. The design captured the 1962 Chevrolet Corvette pretty accurately and measured at 4cm high, 14cm long and 6cm wide. The vehicle encompass a very good all rounded built, including the traditional classic town car doors and having the printed car tile as the front bumper. The Red Lola is capable of transforming into a hovering craft mode by tilting the four wheels. The vehicle is capable of quick escape by hovering out of danger. The mechanical controls can be found at the driver's seat and the vehicular front windscreen is using the same part from the Speed Racers series. I can easily find a suitable 1x2 printed control tiles to replace in favour of the stickered tile. You can admire the beautiful sleek Red Lola vehicle from the front view, back view and side view. The entire building content for Packet 2 The completed built for Packet 2 The completed built of packet 2 is focused on the upper half of Detroit Steel mech and this packet also include the minifigure of Justin Hammer. The entire building content for Packet 3 The completed built for Packet 3 The completed built of packet 3 include the fully built of Detroit Steel mech and it also included the minifigure of Invincible Iron Man. The completed built of Detroit Steel mech This is the poorly represented built of Detroit Steel mech. When I had seen the original reference of Detroit Steel mech, I was expecting it to be bigger and much nicer looking than this rather odd built. The sizing doesn't quite add up as it's pretty short, standing at 14cm high. I suspect is due to the piece counts restriction for such a set which limit the mech to be much sturdy and impressive looking. The colour representation was closely represented as a form of American Patriot. Hammer Industries wanted to mass produce these armoured soldiers in the bid of out-winning Tony Stark businesses. For a start, the LEGO built did not appeal to me at all and versus with the Red Lola, it was pale in comparison. You can take a closer look at the mech arms and their mech legs on their ball joint connection. I am very disappointed with the weapons integration on the chainsaw and the 6-studs machine gun shooter as I find the robotic grips on their hands to be rather makeshift by just making a quick connection. The suit is capable of taking in one controlled personnel, similar to the Hulkbuster. In this case, Justin Hammer is piloting the Detroit Steel controls. You can view more of Detroit Steel mech from the back view, side view with 6-studs machine gun shooter and side view with chainsaw Below are some play scenes which I have managed to put together for your viewing pleasure. Detroit Steel pitting against the Hulkbuster What is the current situation? S.H.I.E.L.D Organisation Agents, let's roll out! Justin, it's time for you to give up To conclude, this set is an average LEGO playset and I wanted to rate it higher due to Red Lola and Agent Coulson design. However, the overall built of Detroit Steel was a disappointment. The price per ratio is very reasonable for the price range especially in the US unlike Singapore. I am very glad to buy this set in the US SRP and is certainly very worth it than buying it locally. The Singapore local pricing was a disappointment as well, which is why I had gave it a lower score as well. This set is a very good introduction to expand the Marvel characters and expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe in some way through the introduction of Agent Coulson. This set is fun to play with and integrate well with other LEGO existing official sets from the Marvel Superheroes theme. It's entirely up to us to decide the playing value and for me, this is pretty fun playing and building experience. I really hope even with the poor Detroit Steel mech design, this does not deter you from pick up this set. Summary review Playability: 8/10 (Fun playability on the integration of other LEGO Marvel Superheroes sets.) Design: 6/10 (Very good design on Red Lola and poor design on the Detroit Steel mech) Price: 4/10 (Price is on the high side when taken Singapore SRP into consideration price per parts ratio and minifigure counts. US SRP is definitely alright in this case) Overall: 6/10 (Do get this set and add into your collection. I am sure this set will still be attractive to many of us.) I gave it a "3" based on my Review Score Card. What about you? I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are welcomed. 16. Dear Eurobricks Community, Allow me to present my fifth reviewing attempt on the LEGO Rogue One sets. Hope you enjoy reading it. WhiteFang
  17. Hello everyone, I am back to share my fifth LEGO Star Wars Rogue One review. The earlier LEGO Rogue One reviews which I reviewed were the 75152 Imperial Assault Hovertank, 75153 AT-ST Walker, 75154 TIE Striker and 75155 Rebel U-wing Fighter. I had great enjoyment playing and building these recent sets. I hope I can bring my enjoyment by showing in my review. Please note there might not be any major movie spoilers but there is bound to contain some minor movie spoilers. Henceforth if you have not watched this movie and is spoilers-sensitive, then please do not proceed any further. In addition, I am also integrating many references and facts which can be found in the informative DK Star Wars Rogue One (Ultimate Visual Guide). Without further ado, let me bring all of you to the Planet Scarif. Movie spoilers ahead (potential), read at your own risk. Name: 75171 Battle on Scarif Theme: LEGO System / Licensed / Star Wars / Rogue One Year: 2017 Pieces: 419 Minifigs: 4 Price: USD $49.99, GBP 54.99, EURO 59.99, SGD $119.90 Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An original box image of the 75171 Battle on Scarif Back view of the original box image of the 75171 Battle on Scarif The latest new LEGO Star Wars Rogue One minifigures addition The tropical nice battle scene on the Planet Scarif This is the only play scene in the LEGO Star Wars Rogue One compilation for the past two releases in 2016 and 2017. Although this is not a mega play set accompanied with some flaws, but I am still pleased with the overall playability and built as it helped to put many things altogether for a bigger battle scene with this heavily fortified bunker as the central focus. The Planet Scarif, located in the Outer Rim Territories, is an Imperial military complex which houses the deepest technological secrets of the Empire at the very core of the Citadel complex. Scarif is a small world of tropical island rising from clear, shallow oceans similar like those beach resorts. The key imperial operations is to enable kyber crystal delivery through a wide range of bunker network which is secured by shore defenses with the command tower overseeing the planet operations. The content of the sealed box The sealed box comes with three numbered mint packs. The instruction manual are part of the content and as you flip to the front page, it show the overview of the building stages. This set also contained the dreaded sticker sheet which is mainly used to outline the base and the bunker doors. I am not a huge fan of stickers and did not apply in my built. After the set is completed, these are the remaining spare parts which are spread across the packs. You can view the spare parts for packet 1, packet 2 and packet 3. Some nice LEGO Rogue One minifigures addition These are the newest addition from the 2017 Rogue One set releases. From left to right, we have two Scarif Stormtroopers, Jyn Erso and Cassian Andor. Upon removing their helmets and hairpieces, you can see back view of the minifigures with their alternate facial expression. All of the minifigures are featured with impressive back printing. All of these minifigures are unique to this set and I could suppose getting this set is more for the Scarif Stormtroopers even though Jyn and Cassian are newer variants in their finale scene in the insertion of Scarif. These characters had also appeared in other sets. You can take a look and see which variant of Jyn and Cassian could you prefer. It's nice to see Jyn in a Imperial Ground Crew disguise and can be easily put her as a generic Imperial minifigure by placing the helmet on. Not quite the same for Cassian in his other outfit, since he suppose to be an Imperial Officer in disguise for this scene. The two Scarif Stormtroopers are part of the planet shoreline defence to ensure the beaches are adequately protected against any trespassers. It's quite a pity that these minifigures are not widely available in the traditional battle packs and it make no sense to buy quite an expensive set like these to army build these minifigures. You may note that this minifigure design is not exactly the same like this Shoretrooper found in the 75154 TIE Striker. Thus, I had made that minifigure in command of this patrol squadron. You can view both of these minifigures' facial expression without their helmets on. I am glad to have these specialised troopers to make up of Scarif defenses, but their numbers are truly limited against the rebels and the large need of numbers could need to pump through the stormtroopers instead. The entire building content for Packet 1 The completed built for Packet 1 The completed built for the first packet is to form the front of the sliding bunker doors. The built also include Cassian Andor minifigure and some useful printed tiles and parts including the 2x2 printed Death Star overview. The entire building content for Packet 2 The completed built for Packet 2 The completed built of packet 2 is focused mainly on the landing platform of the bunker entrance. This packet also include Jyn Erso in disguise accompanied with an useful printed control panel tile and highly explosives thermal detonators. The entire building content for Packet 3 The completed built of Battle on Scarif This is the completed built for the Battle on Scarif, the single play scene among the Rogue One set releases so far. The last packet also include two Scarif Stormtroopers to ensure the perimeter defenses for the safe shipment of the striking orange container storing kyber crystals. This Imperial Bunker or Landing Pad on Scarif measures over 10cm high, 22cm long and 25cm wide. We had seen 'Rogue One' or otherwise known as Imperial Shuttle SW-0608 landing safely for her infiltration mission before the imperial ground inspection. It is not a huge base of operations and undermine the greatness of Scarif structure. However, this set managed to captured the surroundings of Scarif pretty well by utilising a good mix of tan bricks, leaves, tree palms among the grey looking structure. This set is considered as a medium built and is similar to the 75139 Battle on Takodana in terms of piece counts and price range. However, the 75139 Battle on Takodana set is much value for money due to the inclusion of five minifigures and an unique SW character known as Maz Kanata instead of seeing just four minifigures with nil special characters. It could have been better if this set contain an Imperial Officer or even K-2SO which is quite vital for this scene. Otherwise, a rebel trooper accompanied Jyn and Cassian would also serve well. Despite of the flaws which I had mentioned, I still equally enjoyed this built and play scene because it can integrate all of my other Rogue One sets together to form a nice decent battle scene without MOCing it. If I have a few more of these sets, I could actually expand it to a larger base of operations and it could certainly be quite nice to have a bigger landing pad. There are several playing mechanisms which can be seen from here, there and here. The playing features are largely focusing on the mission for the Rebels to steal the Death Star plans. Jyn and Cassian could need to first bypass the secured sliding bunker doors by blowing the communication tower which will cause a large amount of unneeded attention. Well, that's not exactly the case in the movie and I won't elaborate further on that, other than thinking the designer of this set might have wanted high explosive entry to increase the level of excitement. One thing I think this set could have been better is allowing a turning mechanism for the sliding doors to be opened and closed from the side or through a knob. This built can only allow manual sliding which I am not very fond of. In this playset, one of them had to operate from the control panel, while the other is retrieving the files from the other computer terminal. This is how it looked like when Jyn and Cassian are in position with regards to this play scene and please do not take this play scene as movie accurate. It's nowhere near there in terms of the plot flow. To be fair, there are some abstract points which I could think is fairly captured. The other rebels could be planting explosives by placing beneath the floor panel and also hiding large amount of weapons near the base perimeter. The radio control terminal was vital to hook up by the rebels to secure the radio transmission to upload the Death Star plans. These are the images of the completed built of Battle on Scarif which can be viewed from the front, left side view, right side view, bottom view and back view. The overall built is very sturdy and well integrated. It can be easily stored away without breaking the bits and pieces. Below are some of the fun battle scenes which I had managed to put it together. Wait for my signal, 3.. 2.. 1.. Attack! Raging battle scene on Scarif Forward charge Take them down! Take them down! Let's take down the bunker with our reinforcements We will not let these troopers to sabotage our plan of action To conclude, this set is an average LEGO playset and I wanted to rate it above average, but the high SRP versus price per part ratio and having it ideally as five minifigures could have rack the score higher. I won't think this is a good set to buy at SRP and it's actually a decent playset to get during sales, namely when you need a base of operations to play all of the other Rogue One sets altogether. So far, there are not many Star Wars play scenes and having TLG doing this scene for us is actually very good. Most of the time, we are getting either spacecrafts or vehicles and little on scenes. The setting of Scarif was captured fairly well despite of the flaws in terms of movie accurate. The set did well in terms of the playability and overall built integrity which was very well put together. I could highly recommend buying this set when is on sales and not at full price. This set is certainly not to be missed. Despite of my average rating, I still enjoyed this set as I had bought this in the US earlier at a slightly discounted price. Well, it's way better to buy at overseas than to buy in Singapore anymore. Summary review Playability: 8/10 (Fun playability on the integration of battle scenes with other playing features and Rogue One sets.) Design: 6/10 (Good scene playing design but require improvement in some aspects such as sliding doors) Price: 4/10 (Price is on the high side when taken into consideration price per parts ratio and minifigure counts.) Overall: 6/10 (Do get this set and add into your Rogue One collection since this is the only playset with Scarif Stormtroopers for the time being. Best to get this set when is on sales.) I gave it a "3" based on my Review Score Card. What about you? I hope every one of you enjoyed reading this simple review of mine. Comments and Criticisms are welcomed. 18. I had the honour to see this earlier in KL, Pavilion Mall. Thank you for sharing with us on EB. Let's keep the Kampung Spirit alive!
  19. Access granted. Welcome to Reviewers Academy, as discussed on PM. Thanks.
  20. Outstanding discovery! Thank you, @Nerd-with-a-Pencil
  21. This is a very nice pleasant surprise! We have not received the official press release from LEGO yet for this input. Our Eurobricks member, Nerd-with-a-Pencil had brought to our attention with this nice discovery which was originated from the official LEGO Facebook channel. The 70620 Ninjago City is an upcoming mega D2C set with about 4867 pieces count. I will reckon the official price for this set could be quite high indeed. Check out the LEGO Ninjago 2017 discussion in the Eurobricks Action and Adventure Theme. Check out the LEGO Ninjago 2017 discussion in the Eurobricks Action and Adventure Theme.
  22. Simply amazing collobrative display. Well done to all of you. It is very nice to see the combined efforts of our finest EB builders.
  23. That was quite a flashback to memory lane when I state that statement years ago. Till this date, it's still valid. Our Darkdragon know the EB history well enough.
  24. Nice review. I love the Emerald Express very much and I actually bought one. I wasn't completely sold to buy more of the newer design. Fully agree with your taking on the Blue Express being toyish. I suspect to a larger extent, this is because we are paying homage to Emerald Night.
