  1. You may be right but 10,000 votes (or signatures) did get them to concider making the DeLorean from Back to the Future and Ecto 1 from Ghostbusters. Besides a petition at least shows The Lego Group and DC Comics/Warner Brothers that fans are willing to do something to show their support for this theme besides sit around on forums and wishlist.
  2. Do you think we'll be seeing any sets based of the DC Suicide Squad movie planned for 2016? I doubt the sets will be call Suicide Squad but I'm willing to bet we'll be getting minifigs based off of the movie.
  3. Besides Doctor Fate, Firestorm, Raven, Starfire, Beast Boy, Deathstroke, Arsenal, Killer Frost, Detective Chimp, Condiment King, Firefly, Malcolm Merlyn, Plastique, Deadshot, Giganta, Star Sapphire, Bronze Tiger, Cheetah, Red Hood, Music Meister, Mad Hatter and Booster Gold, who are some other Heroes or Villains you would like to see from DC in Lego form?
  4. Perhaps that hair is for Kid Flash (Wally West). Since they did a Young Justice styled Superboy, maybe they are planning to do a YJ style Kid Flash.
  5. Hello all, I started an online petition to get Lego to make a Collectible Minifigure series based on DC Comics Superheroes (mainly the designes from Lego Batman 3). I'm looking to get 10,000 signatures (the same number as it takes for an Idea to get to the Review Phase). So if you are interested in supporting this please go to the link below, sign the petition and share it with your friends, Collector Groups and anyone else you think will be interested. Thanks. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/lego-dc-superheroes-collectible-minifigure-line
  6. Looks to me like the pumpkin is meant to be worn as a helmet. If it is to go with Marvel super heroes then I would guess it is for Jack O'Lantern. Chances are though that the pumpkin helmet is going to be on a CMF. I'm pretty sure Marvel is no longer producing anything toy wise that isn't related to something they control on the big and small screen. Marvel didn't release any toys through Hasbro (that holds the action figure licence) for X-Men Days of Future Past and had made a big statement about that before hand. I think the reason we got a lone X-Men set this year was because it was already in the works to be made or the Sentinel and Blackbird had already been designed so they made the set with comic styled characters. But from now on I wouldn't expect to see any Lego sets that aren't somewhat tied to a show or movie made by Disney/Marvel. That helmet could be for a version of Starhawk ( http://marvel.wikia.com/Starhawk ) but I'm guessing it will show up in CMF or if Ultra Agents gets a second wave and some new villians.
  7. That Tree House Hideaway looks pretty cool. If I end up getting it I'll probably swap out some of the brighter colors for more earth-toned ones for my own personal taste but a good looking set either way. And if the Elves hair fits regular minifigs like the Friend's hair does then I can use it to add some variety to my LotR Elves...or this might be what finally gets me to give the minidoll some consideration.
  8. Thanks for the links Aanchir. I still would love to see some closeup of the minifigs and without the armor but from what I can see so far I'm seeing some really nice, usable fantasy stuff. It looks like the site is letting folks reserve the sets (just guessing as I can't read the language). Does it say what the release date will be? I know some folks were saying they should be out for Christmas but since they were not in the holiday catelog I have my doubts (that I would love to have proven wrong).
  9. I just got the holiday catalog and the new Star Wars and Chima stuff was not in it (new Hobbit stuff was) so I wouldn't hold your breath on better pictures just yet. Hope I'm wrong though.
  10. December would be good. That way I can see if I want to stock up on some of these new minifigs to convert to Elves (like I did with some of the Raven and Wolf torsos) before loading up on too many Mirkwood Army packs.
  11. Has an estimated release date been set for these new sets yet? If so I totally missed it.
  12. Thank you for post that Just2Good. I wish we would get some shots of kis printed torso without the armor on. It looks like he has an armor print under that attached armor could be good but I'll need a better look at it. If I'm not mistaken the Eris we saw earlier had an armor print as well. It would be nice if that is going to be the trend this year for most of the characters instead of so many bare chest prints.
  13. While the Legend Beast won't work for the chariot idea, the torso and head of this Spider dude will work great for a Drider type mini. I had worked out how to do the body a while back but never had a torso and head that looked right until now. Those hands will need changing though.
  14. To me the issue is more with his mouth that looks to be in a goof ball grin. And the use of what looks like Dark Bley instead of a brown or black color. The torso print looks like it could have some potential but I'll need to see it without the armor piece to be sure.
  15. You are not alone. Hopefully the Scorpions and Spiders will look better.
  16. The wings look great. The torso print looks like it could be great as well (would love to see it without the armor on). Not so sure about the head. I may just stick to using the CMF Man-Bat head for my Vampire Knight (Fright Knights).
  17. While the companies intend to sell to different markets, some friends of mine and I do use lego minifigs, vehicles and structures for tabletop war gaming. Some of the Chima sets have been good for this and provided some new factions or enhanced other factions. And from what I've read about so far it looks like that will continue into 2014.
  18. If they are too big for a chariot then I'll just upgrade to a carriage...lol
  19. Depending on how the Lions look I was thinking something along the lines of a chariot pulled by lions....like seen below: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod790879
  20. That's exactly what I was thinking of using them for.
  21. Some of these sets sound really interesting. Any idea when we'll get to see pictures of them? Before I get too excited I would like to see them. Depending on the size the Legend Beast could be the big winners here but I would also like to see if the new Bats would work with my Fright Knights.
  22. From the descriptions I've read so far and the number of MEA packs I plan on getting/splitting, Thranduil will most likly end up as a generic Elf Knight in my Elf army but will be armed with the Dragon Katana from Ninjago and the shield. Granted this could change when better pictures or the actual sets are seen.
  23. True, but I don't mind the hoods on some of my Elves. One of the squads in my current Elf army is an Elf like head on the Razcal body (from Chima) with a black hood and cape and then the squad leader is an Elf like head on the Rawzom body with Elf hair/ears and a black cape. To me the unit looks really cool even with most of them having hood. I also have a couple of squads of Archers that are a mix of Elves with dark green hoods and capes and ones with hair and dark green capes. That the Mirwood Army set comes with a new hair piece and a regular hairpiece is a win for me (but that may just be me).
  24. In my opinion and for me this wave is the best so far out of both the Hobbit and LotR because it has the one set I've been wanting since the LotR line began...and Elf army builder set. Everything else is just icing on the cake. Being able to add Elves and Orcs as new races to my Lego Castle world is something I've want for decades (probably ever since Black Falcon Fotress). Unfortunatly the Trolls from the "Fantasy Era" were during my dark age but that is ok because a new age is here. Now I just need to see those new Chima Bats to see if they will work with my Vampire Knight (a.k.a. Fright Knights).
