  1. Even if Deathstroke does not have a helmet it shouldn't be too hard to custom one up from an extra Iron Man helmet. TLG will give us the Heroes we deserve not the Heroes we need.
  2. It could also be a way to get around the pieces being officially licensed pieces so they can be used again later in other lines (unlike the LotR Elf hair). The fly trap guy body and headpiece would be great but I think it might look better with this head assuming the mouth lines up correctly http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=3626bpb0501 Cheetah has had many looks over the years including looking like cat person: https://www.google.com/search?q=dc+comics+cheetah&biw=1501&bih=659&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=SNrCVJG-LPOLsQSWkYGwDA&sqi=2&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAg I'm all for that hair piece being used for both '66 Catwoman and Cheetah.
  3. I think he means putting the 4L stick, the lightsaber hilt and the Crescent Blade, Serrated with Bar together. At least that's what I did and it does look better than any I've seen Lego make. Found this link in the Marvel Forum: http://brickset.com/article/13961/london-toy-fair-report-part-2 Sorry if it's repeated information.
  4. I reworked mine to give it a more raygun gothic look and got rid of the net launcher to give him two functional arms. Also added a couple of stud launchers to each arm. If I can get a good picture of it I'll post it up to my Flickr page tonight after work. If you swap out the arms with some dark green arms (and put the green gloves on the dark green arms) and replace the hair with a dark green hood it makes the Lego version look pretty close to the show version. Granted that pictured you showed from the video game has a lot more printing on it than we'll probably ever get on a physical Arrow. While I'm trying to get some pictures of the BatMech I'll try to get some good ones of my conversion Arrow and post to Flickr.
  5. There is Brickfair in Alabama the 15th-18th. A couple of years ago the official reveal of the Palace Cinema was there although pictures had already been leaked.
  6. Those hands do look good. This hair in black might work better even though it doesn't have the pointy ears.
  7. That is a good custom.
  8. Agreed, but I'm not disappointed to get a classic version. And I would like to see Arrow's version of Captain Boomerang as well as the version from the Batman 3 game. I did replace Captain Cold's gun with the Sakaaran gun (with a trans-light blue round tile on either side) as it looks closer to the cold gun used on the Flash TV show. I'll have to look over the parts on Bricklink but I bet a TV version (or close to) of Captain Cold could be made. If there are going to be some "empty" years in between the DC movies we could get some sets based loosely on the TV shows but I'm not holding my breath on that (and we already have a Flash and an Arrow (with a little fixing)). So far I haven't been disappointed with the versions of DC characters Lego has put out. Granted I made a few little tweaks on some of them but over all a good job done by Lego. I even like the big figures. The only thing I would change on those is to have them stand up straight and have hip joints like the shoulders are done
  9. Lego will probably start designing all planes and vehicles with enough seats for all the important people once they start designing Superhero sets just for AFOLs. Until then they are probably going to include play features that they think kids will like. The great thing about brick built vehicles is that you can take them apart and build them however you would like them. In my opinion the Bat Mech was not that great of a build so I'm in the process of changing it (got to make sure it will be able to take down the Hulkbuster armor). I'm sure the Quinjet will be able to be changed so that there is extra seating for those that don't want to see Captain America and his motorcycle get pooped out the back (but in a heroic fashion).
  10. When is the Winter Soldier supposed to come out?
  11. I can't seem to find it now, but wasn't there rumor that The Question was coming out in one of the summer sets?
  12. I hope the super jumper isn't planned to be part of the Hulkbuster armor. From the German catalog picture the Hulkbuster armor looks more like a Hero Factory model than the Bat Mech does (at least in my opinion). Unless the Hulkbuster helmet and shoulders are able to be moved out of the way I doubt the super jumper would work. But even if they do include that, I'm working on a redesign for the Bat Mech so redoing the Hulkbuster shouldn't be too much trouble.
  13. An Adam Strange mini would be great but I'm not holding my breath for one. DC has a large range of characters they can release for Lego to make since they own the full rights to all their characters and won't get into issues like Disney/Marvel and Fox. I would think releasing at least one or two well known characters per large set would free up the remaining minifig slots for lesser known characters and still be approved by the powers that be at DC and Lego.
  14. I'm looking to finish off the Legion of Doom as well. A Toyman should be easy enough to custom up (at least his Legion of Doom look from the '70s) with all the Jesters Lego has put out over the years. I would love if they did make Giganta if they would make a regular sized minifigure for the sets and then also make one of those Flashlight figures of her for the larger version. There is already a Bizarro minifig but a non-Comic Con exclusive version that can be gotten for a reasonable price would be nice. I may be reading too much into it but I think it's a sign that most all the villains in this wave are Legion of Doom members and could indicate the rest are on their way. I got all the sets yeasterday but haven't had a chance to go through them all (darn job that I need to keep so I can keep buying Lego). So far though I'm loving the new cowl for Batman. It makes him look less bobble headed like Iron Man and with the shorter points on the top (and more flexible cape) he may be able to sit normally in enclosed vehicles. I'm also glad Lego gave Green Arrow facial stubble. A quick swap of those flesh arms to dark green ones and a dark green hood from my LotR elves and Green Arrow should look more like his TV version. I would have preferred if Hawkman's wings had been molded plastic and able to clip on to his back similar to the Chima wings but a Hawkman with those wings is better than no Hawkman at all. Looking forward to going through the rest of the sets and start building them over the upcoming long weekend.
  15. I'm almost positive we won't be getting any Fantastic Four sets since Fox will be releasing that movie instead of Disney/Marvel. I did start up a petition here to ask Lego for a DC Collectible Minifig series. Right now the villains at the top of my list to get are Giganta, Toyman, Bizarro, Cheetah and Soloman Grundy. With what is coming out in January those 5 will finish out the Legion of Doom from the Super Friends show. The top Hero on my list right now is Doctor Fate.
  16. Very nice. Thank you for the link. I like the new Quinjet and the Avengers Tower set looks better than I expected (still planning to expand that to a modular building though). Is that a new hair piece on Black Widow? Also looks like a new bike design comes with the Quinjet. The DC products on the next page are looking good as well.
  17. If they are making sets based off the Flash TV series then why haven't they made any based off the Arrow TV series? Not sure what kind of ratings it has been pulling in but since it has been around for a few years I'm guessing it is doing good enough to keep going. My guess is that these sets are based of Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham and that Batman is included with most of the sets for character recognition with parents (who will be paying for most of the copies of these sets that sell). While, in my opinion, Batman is the most important (and some could say the most "powerful") character in the DC comic universe, I would like to see Warner Brothers allow Lego to make more characters from the DC universe (or at least from the DC TV shows). Hopefully with the Titans series coming to TNT we'll see some Teen Titan characters in Lego form in the future.
  18. I agree it is ridiculous but it seems Disney and Fox are in a contest to see who can be the bitchiest about the current licencing. As a result, Hasbro made no toys to support the X-Men: Days of Future Past movie. While Sony isn't causing Disney as much trouble, all the Spider-Man Lego sets make sure to have the Ultimate Spider-Man (the cartoon that airs on the Disney XD channel) printed prominently on the boxes. So while what can and cannot be done under the current licencing may seem ridiculous to us, I'm sure there are teams of lawyers laughing all the way to the bank over it.
  19. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch may not be included because of their close ties to the X-Men brand and licencing issues around that.
  20. Deathstroke, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and Harley Quinn look great. Maybe once the movie comes out these will find their way into a set (or sets). Is the shirtless guy supposed to be Bronze Tiger or someone else? I like the silver cowl but the white body just doesn't look right to me. Looks like some part swapping in my future.
  21. A train station would be a good addition to the modular line but I don't think it would make a good corner building. A musseum would make for a good corner building.
  22. Two sets isn't a bad idea and then build each building larger on their own baseplate. After seeing the pictures of this set and having put together the Parisian Restaurant (which had small interior space) I'm a little concerned that smaller interior spaces might be the new trend for the Modular sets...which is not good for AFOLS with big hands like me.
  23. Surprised they didn't use Task Force X for the name like they do on Arrow and if I remember correctly on the Justice League Unlimited series. Any screen shots of The Squad?
  24. Haven't seen that before but I could use that Batsignal.
  25. Thank you for your input and ideas. Looking over the Lego Ideas site and reading their rules for submitting project Ideas I did read this: "LEGO Ideas accepts projects that propose single, stand-alone LEGO products (sets). We can’t accept projects that propose a series of products or a playtheme." I'm pretty sure they would see a DC Superhero CMF series and multiple products. Not to mention that the character designs are not mine originally but taken from the Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham game. So the petition is still online and while it may not work, like I said before, it's better in my opinion than doing nothing. I'm still open to any other constructive ideas or ideas on how to promote this to an even bigger audience.
