  1. All Legos can snap together with the right pieces involved. Even if the wall pieces are not intended to snap together they will be after I'm done )some part swapping should do the trick). I would say that is a safe assumption. If the sets are going to be on shelves this year then they would have to be finished already, packaging would have to have already been printed and filled and it is probably a safe guess that shipping to distribution centers is already underway. From what has been described it sounds like that Elf set is going to be the real winner of this wave for me as it will help my Elf army grow in a more affordable way.
  2. As much as I would love an Elf battle pack (along with the ones you mentioned) I wouldn't recommend hold your breath waiting for them. Last I heard from a Lego Rep LotR is not selling well with kids and could be close to being stopped. I would guess that is the reason there are fewer sets in this wave. Without kids behind the line the chances of getting battle packs are pretty slim. On a side note I think Lego rushed out the Castle line to get some unaware customers (grandparents and parents) to accidentally buy LotR sets when looking for Castle sets for their kids.
  3. Thanks for the photo. Looks like a some real winners in this series (but sadly some duds too). The Old Man, Nerd Girl and Sea Captain will go great with my Arkham city project while the Medusa will be a nice new creature for my Castle/Fantasy guys to fight.
  4. Are the pictures you saw better quality than has been posted on here already? And if possible can you send me a message with the link?
  5. I agree that if the old factions are brought back they should be updated and improved first. One thing I would really like to see is printed armor with updated logos (like the new Black Falcon). I feel bad for my old Knights with their plain (and not even pearl or metallic), unprinted armor is seen next to the new printed armors that have been turning up since the Crownies and beyond.
  6. The themes I would love see make a come back are (in order) Black Falcons, Wolfpack and Fright Knights. I like the theories that I've read so far and would not be disappointed if some of them ended up being correct. But here is another theory (if someone already mentioned this and I missed it sorry): What if this "Legends" line is going to be a remake of the Knights Kingdoms using a team of Heros and a team of Villians themed from the previous Castle lines instead of Rainbow Knights? This would also allow Lego to make Hero Factory styled figures to tie in and a game. If this is going to be a small wave wedged inbetween the Hobbit and LotR then a team verses team idea would work better than two armies to build up. Just an idea.
  7. One would think Lego had enough bley bricks around to do Helm's Deep unless they intended to do a bit in a different color. fixed
  8. All the pink bricks in the sets were enough to let me know to ignore them. Nothing against pink bricks, but there are no MOCs I could use them in since there are not Fairy Princesses in my collection.
  9. Warlord Elric Wayne is not so much evil as he is greedy for power and evil being like The Five and the First One are willing to exploit that. He moved to Eastern Darklands because those that promised him power told him to go there and rewarded his loyalty with skeleton warriors to increase his army. Ja'Khal, the necromancer that made Wayne's reinforcements, is preparing an army for The Five. The Eastern Darklands are said to be the scared ground The Five will arrive on, so Ja'Khal is rallying the forces there. Ezra the Spider Witch can control spiders of all types. The biggest and deadliest spiders can be found in the Eastern Darklands. She also believes in The Five and the First One and awaits for their return eager to serve them and have a place of importance in their plans. My modified Fright Knights and Skeleton warriors are my biggest army and their look fits in better in Nocturnus than any of the other Guilds.
  10. It would seems so. Maybe we don't have enough post to warrant a pinning. Or have we been conquered and I just missed it due to my lack of a finished watchtower?
  11. So did the Nocturnus Guild thread get unpinned because we are so small? lol I'm sure it was just an accident or system glitch but kind of funny that it happened to the smallest guild.
  12. I you are right but I'm not getting too excited until I see Anduril in plastic form, not just in a picture.
  13. I finally got some pictures taken of my forces this past weekend and was reminded that my photography skills are not all that. So please excuse the not so great photos and here is my army: Warlord Elric Wayne: Horsemen with axes: I know it's a hard to see the black axes in this but they are the old one-piece style. Battle Chariot: In the background you can see part of my WIP watchtower. Elite Guard (all living): Skeleton Warriors (with living squad leaders): Skeleton Berserkers (with living squad leader): Skeleton Archers: Pikemen: Some other people of interest in my area: Ezra the Spider Witch: Ja'Khal the Necromancer: He keeps adding to the ranks of the Skeletons Ja'Khal's Deathknight: My watchtower and a catapult are in the works along with some other notable characters (including The Five and The First One) so when those are ready I'll post some more pictures up. More pictures on my Flickr photostream. And here is a little back story: Elric Wayne was once a lowly, minor Lord from Avalonia but had the ambition and desire to rule Avalonia and get revenge on those that kept him in such a low position of power. One day Lord Wayne was approached by a necromancer named Ja'Khal. Ja'Khal told Lord Wayne that he could all the power he needed to make his ambitions a reality and an army large enough to enforce his will. All Lord Wayne had to do for this power was to move to Nocturnus and become a Warlord for Ja'Khals deities The Five. Lord Wayne was told that once The Five return to Historica from the lands beyond the Eastern Sea they would prepare the land for the return of their father The First One and when that happens The First One's enemies will be ground to dust and his followers will be exalted. Greedy for Power, Lord Wayne took Ja'Khal's deal and began marching his army to Nocturnus. When they arrived at the North Eastern Point, Ja'Khal was there and had an army of armored skeletons to add to Warlord Wayne's ranks and the promise that all of the enemies Warlord Wayne killed would become his loyal foot soldiers.
  14. A little bit cynical but mostly meant to be funny (because anytime a reference to the Summoner Geeks video can be made, it should be made and a good laugh should be had by all..."where are the Cheetos?"). Depending on how much the Lord of the Rings sets (and the Warcraft sets from Mega Bloks) clear out my wallet, I may pick up a few of those snake people to join my army (which I should finally be able to take pictures of over the 3 day weekend coming up). And even though the contest is over I'll still get a watchtower built up to officially stake my claim on the map and keep an eye on my coastlines. From what I understand from other post, cannons are out. A "magical" death ray could be another matter though. I know one thing I plan on doing is picking up a Black Pearl set and replacing the cannons with ballista along with some other changes to make it more "fantasy" looking.
  15. Just be sure to cast Morten Kiden's Faithful Watchdog and your character should be fine. By the way, has anyone else been eyeing those new snake people from the Ninjago sets and thinking they would make a good addition to Nocturnus? As I recall there are already some shields with snakes on them that could match up nicely with the snake people.
  16. I would invest in a "crystal ball", "magic mirror", "scrying orb", "sword of omens" or some other such magical devise that would give you sight beyond sight (also known as the fantasy internet). Then you can impart some knowledge to your characters that you read on the internet.
  17. I think the current torture MOCs are of one Guild torturing generic people from another Guild area but not specific characters or members of a specific group. The MOCs that you mentioned above depict the torture of minifigs that look as if they were from a specific area but are not ones that another User has said are part of his/her group or signature character. I think to show the torture of a random Avalonian or Midgardian is ok but it would be considered an act of "war" to show the torture of a User's specific characters that they have posted in their Guild thread. I would double check with a Moderator though but as I understand the discussion so far this seems to be the answer.
  18. It seems with the combined forces of each Guild/area growing, that a war would eventually happen if for no other reason than for a Guild/area to expand its land, wealth and power. And the High King should be concerned that as a Guild's army grows it could become larger than his own. If fighting were to break out between two Guilds would the remaining Guilds join forces with the High King to stop the situation or use it as an opportunity to do some expansion of their own?
  19. WOW!!!! That is most impressive. Judging by all the wonderful structures I've seen posted here, I'm probably out of my league structure-wise but hopefully I'll make up for it in other ways. If you want to, you are welcome to include The Five, who are the children and emissaries of the First One, and the First One in the church. Or if you want to wait until I reveal more information about them before including them, that is cool too.
  20. Getting all those new weapons would be almost as cool as getting the minifigs themselves but I'm not holding my breath for them until we see some finished and ready for mass production shots.
  21. I'm guessing these folks will get that Gladiator minifig sword and that we will see the Highlander minifig sword somewhere in the line.
  22. Warlord Elric Wayne and my men (both living and undead) will stand beside you should the lands of Nocturnus need protecting. In the meantime I will prepare my lands by the sea for the return of The Five. Their Harbingers walk the lands now, so the return must be soon. I'll get some pictures up after the holidays. If the area indicated on the attached map is available I would like to inhabit there.
  23. Hello All, I'm Bob from Alabama in the Southeast portion of the US. I've been collecting Legos off and on since the Yellow Castle and while I like most the Lego themes, Castle (and all its variation) is my favorite. Besides just collecting and doing some custom minifigs I have recently started doing BrikWars battles with some friends. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate this time of year) and a Happy New Year.
  24. As a BrikWars (and Warhammer 40K) player I plan on adding the minifigures from these sets to my Lego armies if not build them up into armies of their own. I would love to build up Elf and Rohan armies if the budget allows, which is why I'm really hoping for battle packs. In my gaming group we use minifigs for our Star Wars rpg (and if other GM request minifig for their fantasy game I am willing to hook them up) and I have used Lego built "ruins" for Warhammer 40K terrain. So I would agree that tabletop and rpg gamers will probably be getting this line as well.
  25. Not a problem. After the first of the year when my schedule clears up from holiday madness I'll work on getting some pictures taken of my Sigfig and his army, try to get some building done and probably join the Nocturnus guild. That setting would work best with my main army and a third group I'm working on that could ally with the main army.
