  1. With quite a few reasonably priced players coming out in the last few years (Duel on Naboo, Vader Transformation, Duel on Starkiller Base, Carbon Freezing Chamber, Hoth Medical Centre, Death Star Escape, Death Star Cannon, the forthcoming Mustafar Duel) depicting complete scenes and with great minifig selections, here are a few OT ones I think would work well. Death Star Trash Compactor (Luke (stormtrooper), Imperial Officer, 3PO, Dianoga, compactor room with moving walls, Hanger Bay control room with sliding door) Death Star Detention Level (Han (stormtrooper), Chewie, 2x Death Star Troopers, exploding grate, side build is the platform the Death Star beam passes. Hoth Control Room (Leia, Han, Commander, Soldier, exploding computers and collapsing walls) Bespin Junk Pile (Leia (white suit), Chewie with 3PO backpack, Ugnaught, E-3PO, moving conveyor belt, moving door) Now a bigger one, based more on the Ep VII set Rathtar Esacpe, but based on the interior of the Tantive IV, with three sections you can put together in different formations - corridor with exploding door, area near the escape pods where Leia gets stunned, generic corridor section with Leia, R2, Fleet Trooper, Vader, Imperial Officer, 2x Stormtrooper.
  2. There are a few droids I'd really like to see. An R4 dome and CZ-series head mold are must haves for me, a new EV-9D9 and 8D8 could have a printed minifigure head and 1x1 cone piece respectively.
  3. Thanks, I wanted to mod my 2014 one to orange, but I didn't want to go to all the effoft if I was wrong! :D
  4. Hi, I was wondering if someone could give me a hand with the Empire Strikes Back Snowspeeders. Am I right that all the Snowspeeders except Luke's have identical orange markings, whilst Luke's has grey. As such, the original 1999 Snowspeeder, 2004 and the ones from Hoth Wampa Cave and Assault on Hoth are suitable for Wedge, Zev, Hobbie, etc, whereas the ones from the 2006 Hoth Base set, 2011 Battle of Hoth, the 2014 and 2019 versions are only correct for Luke and Dak? Thanks.
  5. My WIP armies. Each head is unique to it's minifigure, as is each hairpiece/hat and torso, unless they are a uniform. British: Each face is clean shaven. I'd like to mix in a few more neutral/angry faces. I divided my forces in two, one with red epaulettes and the other with white. They are lead by a James Norrington-type, with a lieutenant with the King George's Soldier torso. French, Dutch and Spanish: My smaller forces, the French have moustaches/stubble, the Dutch have full beards and the Spanish have fancy beards. I need a few more Dutch torsos and epaulettes. Pirates of the Caribbean: L-R Governor Swann, Lord Cutler-Beckett, Barbossa, Will Turner, Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth Swann, Marty and Cotton. My Gibbs is split up amongst Harry Potter figures right now. Governer Swann and Cutler Beckett, like the Norringtonesque leader of the British Army work just as well as non-PotC characters. I'd love a better face for Jack though. Pintel and Ragetti. I'd love to get the Shakespeare CMF hair for Pintel. Other Pirates in Media: Edward Kenway from Assassin's Creed Black Flag. The hood should be white, or use the Henry Turner hair. Anne Bonny, Mary Read, Jack Rackham, Blackbeard, Charles Vane, Black Bart, Hornigold and Woodes Rogers. All are based loosely on their appearance in either the Black Sails TV show or Assassin's Creed Black Flag. Stede Bonnet and Ed Lowe are yet to come. Pirates: My cartoonish pirates, the captain is in red, the three in blue around him are the bosun, quatermaster and the navigator. The doctor is wearing green and the helmsman is next to him in grey. The rest are general crew members with a poor marooner on the far right. The CMF scalleywag and 2015 cook are needed to complete the line up though, and I need to get a carpenter. Some more realistic pirates, with some from North Africa, West Africa, India, Japan, China, Singapore and more. For Europeans I would use some of my townsfolk. Townsfolk: Governer's Daughter, Harbourmaster, Priest, Judge, Teacher, Blacksmith, Scientist, Shipwright Two Fishermen, Store owner, Journalist, Trader, Barman General Male Townsfolk General Female Townsfolk. Some of these will be going to other historical MOCs, but I thought I'd get a shot of all the ladies together. Islanders: My smallest army, but I've got plans to bring the number up to about ten. Aside from adding a few more figures here and there, and possibly adding characters from Treasure Island, these are my finished Pirate figs.
  6. 100% this. The Third Task would be a very boring set even if it came with all four Champions. We only need two and already have the Cup. Stick Fleur and Krum in the CMF. The Second Task set, if it ever is made, should have the four Champions (Krum with shark head, Cedric and Cho with bubble charm prints and Harry with Gillyweed prints on the reverse of their heads) and their four Companions (Sleeping reverse face prints) . That's already eight minifigs, without any Merpeople or Grindylows, or anyone in the clock stadiums, which would be a possible place to get Crouch Snr or Karkaroff who we haven't got before, amongst others.
  7. Sudds Backwash was a barman from the Lego Movie sets too.
  8. I did take out a few characters like Hannah, Ernie Macmillan and Alicia Spinnet as they're only cameos in the films. I've got more than enough Gryffindor torsos now, so Nigel would be a no for me too, but for the sake of completion he's in the list.
  9. Going through the cast lists, here is a list of all missing characters and animals that have a chance of appearing in a CMF or set (characters in brackets are extremely unlikely). There are obviously many costume variants I've not listed, characters are listed by their first major appearance: 1: Fred, George, Ginny, Percy and Molly Weasley, Lee Jordan, Crabbe and Goyle, Prof. Flitwick (old look), Griphook, Tom (barman), Dudley, Petunia and Vernon Dursley, Bloody Baron, Fat Friar, Lily and James Potter, Fang, Mrs. Norris, Norbert, Firenze, Fluffy, Goblins. 2: Colin Creevey, Justin Finch-Fletchley, Prof. Lockhart, Prof. Sprout, Madam Pomfrey, Arthur Weasley, Lucius Malfoy, Moaning Myrtle, Tom Riddle (memory), Errol, Basilisk (Mr Borgin, Mr and Mrs Mason) 3: Marge Dursley, Madam Rosmerta, Tom (hunchback), Crookshanks, Snuffles 4: Parvati and Padma Patil, Nigel, Angelina Johnson, Prof. Karkaroff, Barty Coruch Snr, Amos Diggory, Rita Skeeter, Merpeople, Grindylows, (Frank Bryce, Band Members) 5: Tonks, Kingsley, Mrs. Figg, Bellatrix, Dolohov, Kreacher, Grawp (Zacharias Smith, Michael Corner, Amelia Bones, Dawlish, Dudley's Gang, Death Eaters, Centaurs) 6: Lavender Brown, Cormac McLaggen, Katie Bell, Romilda Vane, Leanne, Marcus Belby, Pansy Parkinson, Blaise Zabini, Narcissa Malfoy, Amycus and Alecto Carrow, Thorfinn Rowle, Fenrir Greyback, (Mrs Cole) 7: Bill Weasley, Mundungus Fletcher, Elphias Doge, Charity Burbage, Rufus Scrimgeour, Pius Thicknesse, Yaxley, Scabior, Albert Runcorn, Reg and Mary Cattermole, Mafalda Hopkirk, Xenophilius Lovegood, Aunt Muriel, Bathida Bagshot, Grindelwald, Gergovitch 8: Aberforth Dumbledore, The Grey Lady, Bogrod, Giants Lily, James, Lupin, Sirius, Dumbledore, Snape, Wormtail, Slughorn and Voldemort all appear at different flashback ages, the Trio, Malfoy and their kids are seen in a flashforward. Lily, James, Lupin and Sirius are also seen in spirit form.
  10. If I may make the case for Mrs. Figg... Not many elderly female faces in flesh tones. Potential for a new hat or headscarf mold, depending on whether she's in court or after the Dementor attack. Useful torso for other themes, like City. New trolley mold if its the Dementor attack version. I don't care which figures come in the new CMF, I have ones I'd prefer to others but I can't wait to collect them all.
  11. Hello! This is my first post on this thread, I have a largish pirate crew I'm working on, each with unique heads, torsos and either hat or hair, but I'm not quite done yet. In the mean time I thought I'd post the start of my armies. Each will again have a unique face, but all will have the same uniform and hat, except for the Captains, who tend to have a printed version of the regular troops. First up my British Redcoats: As the Redcoats are my biggest army, I've split the troops into white and red epaulettes for a bit of variety, nine reds and thirteen whites. The King George's soldier from the PotC line serves as Captain, with the Admiral/General wearing dark blue. Dutch, Spanish and French Bluecoats: The Dutch were my last army to design. I had three of the Pirates II Governer torsos which I thought would work well as Dutch troops, their Captain wears the Pirates III Governer torso. The brown epaulettes were the only unused colour I had left, and the Shakos were the last variant of hat available. The Spanish are based on their appearance in On Stranger Tides. I'm not sure if this is particularly accurate, I thought Spain was associated with yellow, but the Pirates II captain torso was one I had a few of and I think it looks quite smart. The Captain is the only original Pirates torso I'm using. The French Bluecoats have just had the blue epaulettes added, with the CMF musketeer for a Captain. I am planning on five troops for each of my smaller armies, I just need one more Spanish torso and two more Dutch ones. Here are my WIP Imperial forces. I haven't gone for the most accurate look, mostly distinct and varied forces. I'd just like to check if all of these armies would have been active in the Caribbean in the early 1700s? Also, would the Portuguese, or anyone else, have been in the Caribbean as well?
  12. Cheers, I think I have that hairpiece in dark brown, I may well update it. What robes did you use? I'm using the Bain Torso for Rosemurta and different hair, otherwise mine is similar :) Same with Aberforth, except I added the CMF Bagpiper kilt. Xenophilius Lovegood and Bathilda Bagshot. I think the small or medium legs would be better for Bathilda. On the left is a hag and on the right is the Weasley Family Ghoul, who is disguised as Ron in the Deathly Hallows book. I made a start on the Quidditch World Cup figures. On the back row there is an Irish player, Krum for Bulgaria and Hasan Mostafa, the referee. In front are the mascots - a Leprechaun for Ireland (I have the CMF Lepechaun somewhere, in the meantime it has the CMF Elf torso and a green helmet) and a Veela for Bulgaria. She has this face so she can transform into her Harpy appearance when angered. I have used that hairpiece so I can fit wings on for Harpy mode.
  13. Gilderoy Lockhart has got a new hairpiece, and I've added the cowl piece rather than the hood piece to MacNair. He looks good without either, but the slimmer cowl looks much better. And a few Ministry of Magic headquarters figures. L-R Dirk Cresswell Mary Cattermole Reg Cattermole Albert Runcorn John Dawlish Pius Thicknesse and a few Aurors.
  14. John Lewis are the same, I've been keeping tabs on all three in case a good promotion comes up. I'll be picking the Clocktower up at that price, I am not sold on the Hogwarts Express though, so £59 is still too high for me.
  15. I agree with you, but I think they're here to stay. There is already a kilt fabric piece from the CMF bagpiper, but I don't think that had the sporran printed on. For this advent calender, 7/24 days have minifigs, which means that there are seventeen days of micro builds and scenery. If there was another calender next year, Yule Ball scenery would make sense, perhaps with a mini Durmstrang Boat and Beaubatons Carriage.
  16. Also, haven't Lego stopped including baseplates in most sets? I reckon it would be three or four buildings from the following: Ollivanders, Gringotts, WWW, Flourish and Blotts and the Leaky Cauldron with interiors. Perhaps the facade of a couple of shops like Madam Malkins, Quality Quiddich Supplies or the Magical Menagerie. Knockturn Alley and Borgin and Burkes could have their own set, as could Gringotts vaults.
  17. It works now! Thanks for updating :)
  18. Yeah it's not working for me either I'm afraid. Is the photo public?
  19. I agree it should be similar to the Zane piece (has anyone tried that piece BTW?) but it should come a little bit further down the sides and back of his head. I've no idea if Johnny Depp is signed up to all five films, so it'd be good to get that new piece sooner rather than later. I hope any further FB sets we get will have beasts in them - I'm not a fan of much in the films except seeing more of them. The French MoM with Newt, Tina and the Zouwu vs the Matagots would be a good example of this.
  20. Is that Saturday the 24th? Only for that Saturday? Thanks for letting us know :)
  21. I think it was Batman Series 2 CMF that came with a huge and obvious (inflatable?) dolphin, so large animal molds aren't completely out of the question. Personally the only Patronus I wanted was the stag, so any others are a bonus in my eyes. Even then I admit it was way down the wishlist because I thought it so unlikely, but Lego have surprised us before and will continue to do so, so who knows.
  22. I agree, the HS set had nice sticker/prints for the gravestones, but the build doesn't look much like Little Hangleton graveyard. The mausoleum and tree look nothing like the LH ones, so you might as well start from scratch.
  23. Privet Drive, the Burrow and Diagon Alley are the other big locations I think. I think maybe a £19.99 Duelling Club, £39.99 Privet Drive, £59.99 Durmstrang Ship/Lake Task and £79.99 Chamber of Secrets would be a good spread of sets for example.
  24. Cheers, it looks great, I'll get one! :D
  25. Captain Nemo has been tidying up the Licenced Theme board, we can carry on the 2020 discussion on here :)
