  1. Only problem is parts like the lake part on the great hall and archway on the whomping willow would be in mid air, so the boats couldn't dock and the car couldn't drive through. Nothing is impossible though. I just got the Harry Potter and City advent calenders for £16 on ebay, I'm really excited to see what we get next year. My guess is if it is based on PoA and GoF the trio will be in Hogsmeade outfits and the Humpback Witch statue will take the place of the Architect of Hogwarts, with lots of Hogsmeade and Yule Ball minibuilds and three extra figures.
  2. I'm not trying to second guess Lego, I was just mentioning that it doesn't just appear in the death scene.
  3. Well, maybe, but those are two major structures in the Battle of Hogwarts and the wooden bridge has the obvious play feature of blowing up. I'd be surprised if we didn't see at least one of the three next year. There is a scene where Voldemort talks to Lucius Malfoy in the Boathouse. Anyway, in the UK lots of HP sets reduced right now, I just got the two summer wave sets for £50. Might be a good time to get a few more of those GoF Death eaters or Beaubatons students :)
  4. CoS and the PS Chambers could easily be in above-ground parts of the castle, they'd just need a tower are to house Fluffy's room and Myrtle's Bathroom so there is a drop to the Chambers. The Potions classroom is already like this. What would be harder to set with the current line up would be the boathouse and bridges such as the wooden bridge and viaduct, as they are externally visably below ground floor level.
  5. I'm still very happy with my 2014 AT-AT, so unless the build is brilliant, I can't see myself buying this one. Hoth minifigs have mostly been done, and previous AT-ATs have pretty much kept to the Luke, Veers, Driver and Snow trooper figure line ups, apart from the one that had Han, 3PO and a rebel trooper. The only exception to the above is if this new set is based on Veers' personal AT-AT (Blizzard 1 I think?) that has the dark grey armour. A better side build than a white speeder bike would be welcome too!
  6. It was good for the time, but comparing it to the source material now you can see what it lacks - sails and those four handsome domes around the cabin to name two obvious ones, but the shape overall could be improved a lot. It's still a great set though! https://www.flickr.com/photos/102537907@N03/10198628956
  7. The Lord of the Rings had the Corsair Ship to appeal to Pirate theme fans, even though it plays a very minor role in the Theatrical Release, and not too big a role in the Extended. The Durmstrang Ship could fulfill a similar role in Harry Potter, as well as being one of the few vehicles. The only other transport I can think of that hasn't been mentioned so far is the Ukrainian Ironbelly from Deathly Hallows.
  8. In defence of Grimmauld Place, it could have #11 and #13 sliding to reveal #12 with moving railings, moving curtains by Mrs Black's portrait, extendable ears, a dining room, a bedroom and a room with the Black family tapestry and cupboard with locket and other trinkets in it. There is plenty for a set. Much like Hogwarts Express appealing to Trains fans, a potential Durmstrang ship to Pirates fans etc, this London-style house could be popular to Town and Modular Building fans. I reckon there is enough for kids, AFOLs and HP fans there, personally.
  9. Assuming these sets are from OotP or HBP, and they're also not based on Hogwarts locations, the large set is probably the Ministry of Magic, Grimmauld Place or Wesley's Wizard Wheezes, with the other almost certainly smaller set being the Inferi Cave, The Burrow or a smaller MOM set. If they aren't from OotP or HBP, they could be the Lake Task or Durmstrang Ship from GoF, Shrieking Shack from PoA or part(s) of Diagon Alley. Looking forward to hearing more!
  10. Fair enough, but an Inferi Cave set is unlikely to be as large a set as Privet Drive will be, so it's unlikely Privet Drive took its place. It's been 18 years since the last Privet Drive set, so it's not as if Lego is repeating a recent set or figs. At least two have never appeared in Lego before, a further one only in yellow. The house itself in 2002 wasn't a great set to look at, so far the HP theme has been brilliant looking.
  11. You're describing me there, and I disagree with everything you said. Nevermind, I hope one day Lego give you the sets you want, but I'm very satisfied as a fan of the series and lego since 1997 :)
  12. I thought they were based on portraits from the films, rather than the cards. As the characters you mentioned don't appear in the films I wouldn't get my hopes up. So far each wave has been great IMO, I think fan opinion is heavily against the user you quoted :)
  13. Isn't it based on the area where the WW is based in Cos? It is part of the Training Grounds that is removed in later films, but is still present in the HBP version of the castle. The Bell Towers, the Central Tower and the Long Gallery, the Viaduct Entrance, the Stone Bridge/Lookout Tower are all quite interesting looking buildings or towers. The new Boathouse would make a great set, as would the Viaduct and Viaduct Courtyard or Wooden Bridge. Interior wise there are the Divination, Transfiguration, and Charms classrooms, Library, bathrooms and the Trophy room we haven't seen this iteration of HP, plus various house dorms and common rooms. Lots of the rooms we already have should be done again much better too, as they've been quite simple in the past (Dumbledore's Office for example). That's before you even consider the Philosopher's Stone Chambers and Chamber of Secrets!
  14. Another point about a potential Inferi Cave set - Dumbledore wears a different, albeit similar outfit to his CMF one. That'd be cool to get, perhaps with a dark grey hand for the dead one? I know there are no Snape figures in the next wave of sets, but he's already been in two sets, so unless he gets a new torso print I'm not too bothered about a third, personally.
  15. I'm very happy with all this, the Harry I'll get separate to Hedwig if it's a unique print. Ravenclaw common room is interesting, only the staircase appears in DHII, still cool nevertheless. Shame there is no greenhouse, but the fact it may be bigger than the Great Hall and Clock Tower is exciting. Extra possible figures - Snape and Filch would be appropriate but boring, Ginny or Cormac would be a bit better. Perhaps even Marcus Belby or party guests, but that is much more obscure :D The RoR having the fireplace is cool, I hope the clockwork Death Eater and notice board make an appearance too. Grawp sounds about right, glad the Centaurs have their own body piece. Fingers crossed for F&G over Dobby and Ron, but no biggie either way really :)
  16. A few thoughts on this wave: I love the idea of the Privet Drive set, would have preferred Fred and George to Ron, but otherwise perfect. It would have been nice to get Aunt Marge as well, but never mind. Forbidden Forest sounds great, but will have to see how the centaurs and Grawp look first. Very nice concept though. Astronomy Tower sounds like it is based on the Slug Club Christmas party. I reckon Slughorn, Harry, Luna, Hermione, Neville and Draco will be in the outfits they wore in that scene, Ron and Lavender in their outfits after Gryffindor win the Quidditch Cup. Rooms will be Slughorn's Office and the Astronomy classroom, probably with another one or two rooms to make it taller than the clocktower. The Room of Requirement sounds nice, and maybe a good set to get doubles of if it comes with the clockwork death eater. So, we're missing the Inferi Cave, Ministry of Magic (Atrium, Courtroom, Department of Mysteries) and Grimmauld Place from these films, with The Burrow, Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley and the Durmstrang Ship (as well as a few areas of Hogwarts) from films 1-4. After three waves (perhaps with a couple more sets in the summer like Rise of Voldemort and the Beaubatons Carriage last year), I'd say that was pretty great. Looking forward to the leaked photos :)
  17. Looking forward to this wave! I've done a little plan of which minifigures from films 1-6 we are still missing. I've only included characters with speaking roles or prominent screen time, so some students, death eaters and order members haven't made the list. Obviously there are lots of varients of currently released minifigs (including young versions) that haven't been produced, but these are not included here. Gryffindor: Ginny, Fred, George, and Percy Weasley, Lee Jordan, Pavarti, Padma, Colin Creevey, Katie Bell, Angelina Johnson, Cormac McLaggen, Romilda Vane Slytherin :Crabbe, Goyle, Blaise Zabini, Pansy Parkinson Hufflepuff: Leanne Order of the Phoenix: Molly and Arthur Wesley, Tonks, Kingsley Shacklebolt Hogwarts: Profs Lockhart and Sprout, Madam Pomfrey, Moaning Myrtle Death Eaters: Lucius Malfoy, Bellatrix Lestrange, Fenrir Greyback Wizarding World: Mr Borgin, Madam Rosmerta, Igor Karkaroff, Barty Crouch Sr, Amos Diggory, Rita Skeeter Muggles: Frank Bryce, Aunt Marge
  18. The first episode of the Mandalorian first aired in November, it's only two and a half months old. I'd much rather wait to get, for example, the Razor Crest with a new Baby Yoda mold, than Lego push out a set now without one. There is absolutely no rush.
  19. Nebulon B with Luke (recovery robes), Leia (white robes), Lando (smuggler), R2, 3PO, 2-1B and Chewie was my vote.
  20. I just got Betrayal at Cloud City and would love a Yavin IV set as complete as Cloud City is. A four level pyrimid, from top to bottom: Control Room Briefing room Celebration Room Hangar. The control room has clear panels and the round display, with a bank of comms units behind. Below that is the room with the screen where the Death Star plans are seen, perhaps with a storage room to complete the level. Below is the room with the parade at the end and at the bottom is the hangar complete with Rebel Transport Speeder and Midi X Wing, Y Wing and Falcon. Figures - Luke, Han, Leia, Chewie, R2, 3PO, Dodonna, Red Leader, Red Leader's droid, Pops Krail, Technician x2, Officers x2, Royal Guard x2.
  21. I used to - I have Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and Harry Potter minifigs. Once I started getting a lot of flesh heads I used them exclusively with Harry Potter figures, keeping the other two themes yellow. Then flesh tones spread to LOTR figs when official ones came out in 2012. Star Wars finally fell to the flesh in 2017. I still use yellow heads on pirate/castle themed figures though, including the Pirates of the Caribbean minifigures. The fact the flesh printing on their chests was more yellow than the face and hands made it a lot easier in that theme though.
  22. It would be great to get the Imperial Troop Transport from Chapter 7, the one from the Rebels BP wasn't very accurate. Gideon/the Client could appear in that. Stick Kuill, Cara, IG-11, Greef and the Child along with the Mandalorian and that'd make a great Razor Crest line up from the last Chapter.
  23. Really enjoyed TROS, my favourite of the ST. Can't wait to see it again!
  24. And the Quadjumper was seen 100% more than that weird walker from the first wave of Ep 8 sets :D Looking forward to seeing TROS tonight!
  25. I've seen their stuff and they look good, but I'm trying to avoid customs (except for where lines are discontinued) :)
