Silver City Mafia: Day 2 - Day of the Outlaw
LegoDad replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I think that fact that we all know(or assume) she has a role and hasn't come forth with any information whether privately or publicly speak volumes. Vote: Esther Thompson (Esurient) I will change my vote to Zachary if you can come up with some information that shows you are town. Otherwise, I think you're just messing with us. -

I already had you penciled in for a Coyote, this post about seals it for me. This is getting ridiculous. As others have pointed out, you have done nothing but hinder the town and help the scum with your games. Surely there is someone that can be trusted in pm, but that doesn't do us a ton of good because that person has no way to validate the claim. So because of this, I say AYE, tell us the role. You are a target already, you might as well let us know your role so that it can be confirmed. If you're scum the real PR will out you, if you're town, there shouldn't be a counter-claim. If you come up with some ancillary PR, I'm voting for you because I won't believe you. If you haven't come forward by the time voting opens, you are getting my vote immediately. -

Maybe I've had too much to drink behind the counter of the store, but this made me laugh. -

A lead? More like common sense that we've been talking about since the day began. Do you have any of your own thoughts on the matter? -

Yep, I misread it, sorry. I'm not sure what shift Esther works around this town, but the longer we don't hear from her, the more I doubt her towniness. Could be hanging with the Coyotes coming up with a defense. Could be working off a massive hangover after surviving the night, who knows? -

It's possible, but if the "softclaim" turns to be true, their opportunity is missed, as Esther would probably gain permanent protection if she was a PR. Esther really needs to claim today if she's really town. The charade needs to end. She either needs to prove her allegiance to the town or be dead. And not some lame megablocks made up role, something that can be verified by the real PR if she's lying. -

It seems you were saying she is town, and was protection/watch material, which is why she is alive. While it seemed that Molly is saying that Esther is alive for the same reasons, but that she's scum. Essentially, alive because either the scum were afraid to kill her and be caught, or conversely, the vig didn't want to kill her for risk of getting caught. Same idea, different teams. Would this be correct? I can see both scenarios as very plausible, but I am leaning right now towards Molly, and that Esther is scummy. 60/40 we shall say. -

Sheridan, I think the latter, as Molly is pointing out, is more likely, personally. -

This isn't Esther's first rodeo, I don't exactly feel this way. Again, hopefully some info will come out and show that she was protected, but my initial feeling right now is that she's alive for a scummy reason. -

That was Esther that made that post, correct? About questioning Drake about his font-change and wanting to "get a good look".? That was pretty obvious role playing to me, but if he was trying to sniff out a PR, it went way over my head. But if that is the case you're making, then you are implying that this kill makes Esther scummier? -

We have the Ninjago game and I thought it was terribly lame, so I haven't purchased any of the others. However, the LotR game actually looks like it could be entertaining. Thanks for posting the instructions. -
The older sets didn't have piece call outs either, but the bulk of my time spent is searching for pieces, even after I sort into color piles. I can spend a couple minutes looking for a single piece that is right in front of me.

It is my assumption that Drake was a scum kill as well since he was killed similarly to Mr. Rutherford. If the Coyotes agreed with this claim, wouldn't she be dead? I guess I don't follow. -

Well crap, I took Caleb's over-defensiveness as a scum flail, obviously I was wrong. I'm still not at ease with either Esther or Sheridan, but probably Esther moreso. I will be all ears to see if we had any luck with night actions, hopefully there was some information derived from it. With only 1 kill, I am assuming there was a block? -
All the old greys and blues also appear to be in great shape, I don't really see any discoloration at all. That is a really cool find, will have to show us some completed sets.

I understand wanting to see the final product, but jeez, savor the build!! That's the point of getting Lego sets. Otherwise, just buy a Fisher Price Orthanc . I fully plan on throwing on the movies, and watching as I build, letting my son help as he wants to, since he generally has the attention span of a guppy.

Silver City Mafia: Day 1 - Once Upon a Time in the West
LegoDad replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
We seem to be focused in on Caleb, Sheridan, and Esther today. Summarizing my thoughts, many have made the same. While I am uneasy about the PR claim by Esther, I would hate to be wrong about it, would be a good Watch candidate if we have one. I also don't like the fact that she doesn't want to claim until it's too late? Why do that? Why claim in the first place if you're not going to do anything about it until you're already as good as gone? I also don't buy the "scum or dumb", I met Esther in another one of these cow towns, she was far from dumb. Sheridan coming right out of the gate swinging with the scapegoat claim was very odd to me, but I'm pretty green to this as well, so there may be precedent that I'm unfamiliar with. I can also see where a scum would make the claim as it will be hard to prove. Also, if Sheridan is scum, and a goon, they could put a watcher(if they have one, again) on her see who is Role-Copping(if there is one) her, and get rid of a Power Role for the price of a goon since they would have that information and the Town probably wouldn't have that Town PR's identity yet, making it easy for the Scum to get rid of them, and then claim the role. Not a bad scenario for the Coyote team if they have decent size. Am I way off base with this thinking?? Since she has stated she has no role, she is a less risky lynch than Esther, who, while possibly scum, is also possibly a Town PR, and if we're wrong, would be a terrible lynch. Caleb seems to be flailing a bit now (though Esther has done so as well) and seems to be attacking about every comment made, trying to keep the heat down. I just find this the scummiest right now with the apparent least amount of risk. I don't trust the other 2 either, but this is my vote for now. If anything comes up making Esther or Sheridan a better pick, I will revisit my vote. Vote: Caleb (Captain Nemo) -

Ok. Thanks for clearing that up. I was not 100% what all town roles a framer could mess with. I know from my schooling that an investigation can be messed with(believe me, I know ), but wasn't sure about if a role cop could be messed with by framing. Believe me, I'm not trying to confuse anybody, just wrapping my head around a "frame". When I was in school, I saw a frame mess with an investigation, so I knew how that worked with an investigator, but we had no cops. I was involved with another mafia later in life and wasn't around long enough to ever see it work from a bad guy's perspective. I am 100% clear on it now. Hope I have answered your questions. -
Silver City Mafia: Day 1 - Once Upon a Time in the West
LegoDad replied to Tamamono's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Would there not also be a possibility that in knowing they were getting "Role Copped", that a Framer(if it exists), could then mess with the findings? Since they would know that an action was going to be performed? While I want to lean one way or the other, I just can't right now, I"m not seasoned enough. But it still makes me uneasy, it seems like a daring scum move to me, especially with how quickly a defense to it came. Why, if the Scapegoat was truly town, would they come out with it on Post #1? and not after getting investigated later in the game, if it even came to it? It just seems like a way to confuse us right off the bat and keep our eyes off others that may be more important. My 2 cents at this time. -

Esther, while I'm not defending our Mayor for his apparent lack of respect for women, his remark was obviously an aside, meant for our humor, and possibly to catch some strange in the process . Really appear to be grasping at straws right now, though I understand we have little to go on today. That particular remark did nothing for my scum-dar. -

Wow, what a start to the day! I've been having to take care of the store because by P.O.S. husband drank the night away and left me with all the work. Anyway, I can see both sides of the coin here. Very ballsy for a Coyote to claim so early, but look how out in front he is, he must be Town!! WIFOM for sure. I'm 50/50 right now, as I'm definitely not going to defend someone that goes on a limb like that without ANY sort of confirmation. What does sort of bother me is: This. A pretty quick defense from another player town citizen. Why would someone defend so quickly, especially at a time when nobody else was defending? I've seen this before, it reeks of scum, too. We can go back and forth about the motives behind the claim, but a quick defense really bugs me. -

Since this got bumped, I would like to tell all the designers that they did a fantastic job on those nose art stickers. If I had any RGS's, I would definitely buy a sticker sheet to have.
-
Goodness, they're still giving these away? They must have made an extra 100,000 that they can't get rid of. It was a nice gesture, though. Still not going to get me to buy an Chima, however.

Silver City Mafia - Registration

1. 2 Games, Aperture Academy School and Mafia Mafia 2. I will make time 3. Having been both scum and town now, I think I like the hunt better than the hunted. I think Town Investigator or Blocker would be a very cool role to have, though being Vanilla allows you to be as reckless as you want to be, it's kind of fun.
