i was wondering what is going on with the Legend program. The current legend would be the airport, and sure, you can still find it on the lego website but it's not even promoted as "a legend", it's just a "city essential". the other legends of the past are gone, so it seems, except for the hot rod. Then there is the yellow truck, but i think that was just a rerelease, not a legend. So what's going on? Has lego dropped the legend program? And when do we get a new legend? After all, the airport has been around for quite some time now... How does the selection procedure look like? i remember the fans used to have a say in this, but i'm not sure if that was the case the last time... Perhaps one of the Ambassadors can figure out what is going on?

yep! looks like them... i belive they were in the blue lego technic truck...

really? i can't find the part right now, but i do think it's hollow... if not we're screwed...

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1627116 i think this pic shows there is enough room . sure its 3 high, + 2 of the roof part... think that's enough, no?

just bought three old sets (second hand): 6801: an old space buggy. the white astronaute needs another helmet and white gloves, but the pieces are in excellent condition. 6675: a black buggy from 1988. all in great shape! 6671: the utility repair lift. also in good condition.

hehe... you can also get a t-shirt with your name and describtion on it. Perhaps we should all wear ours on the EB event trip...

actually, this was the official lego version of your train: http://www.peeron.com/scans/7777-1/40

thought these roof parts were from the airplane, or is that the same part? I do like them tho. they could be usefull for a space ship...

i think the ice train's front section looks like cheap plastic... i guess the rest is ok...

It does have sails: those big chunks across the masts are rolled-up sails. They just couldn't set them 'cos they don't have rigging yet... I think... really? usually people use white bricks to do that... i think they're part of the masts. as Suvie said, it looks as if he rushed to the end. Perhaps he just didn't do them...

i'd vote for 7760. sure, 10020 and 10133 are brilliant, but they're exclusives, meaning, they've spent waaay much more time and effort on design and i think the price tag wouldn't compare with the others either... the old tender doesn't look very great. i would have gone for a different model than this... the high speed train is ugly... the 7750 doesn't look that good either. the wheel base is weird. 2+2? i think there were instructions in the classic lego idea book for a large steam train... i would have bought that one... i like the red one, even tho not the best train set i can imagine the blue is the best. it looks like a small cargo loc, destined to transport cargo around train stations, depots,.... we have green-yellow versions of this type the red crocodile is ugly. what was lego thinking off? 162, 727 i only know both from catalogs. they're from the 70's somewhere... i remember i was impressed by both models even tho they look rather primitive these days...

the ship doesn't have any sails so i don't think it'll do anything... unless it has an engine block in there somewhere... but then i guess it would be stupid to have masts....

he finished his big ship, it seems: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=166440 i have to say that i'm a bit disappointed. the masts don't look very well; the castle looks a little bit out balance, i was also hoping for a highly detaled castle and bow but ... hm... there is hardly any rope on this ship even tho a ship this size should have lots of them...

there's a prehistoric tree in australia that survived also and many reptiles haven't really changed either... However, i don't see much on this video. You can only except the testimonies of those two witnesses but there's no clear evidence whatsoever... i think we've seen it all before. People come up with all sorts of photos and videos taken from the lake and whenever the local media has a few minutes of extra time, they just swoosh it in there... In between sports and the weather report... if they really wanna put an end to the speculation, then just ask the USNavy to scan the lake, period.

The truth is, Lego trains is one of the best themes and I like most of them (American or European). The m

great find! they're great for parts... and they look good as well

my BL order came in yesterday, mostly rigid hoses and plates... now i'm only waiting for two more orders and i can start building again...

great find! i was thinking of buying this set because it looks pretty good in the catalog, but after having seen the pics, i'd have to say i'm a bit disappointed. It lacks detail, especialy on the outside...

good luck with your new board, but perhaps an admin would be so kind to move this to "community"?

Well by that rational any form of hovering device would be relative to "ground zero level" in concerns of height. But I'd say as the terrain raises the max. height a hover device could render increases with the underlying terrain. Whether any form of terrain (forests, water, snow...) is equally suitable to hover upon is another question (imagine a hover craft trying to cross the Mariana Trench and then tumbling 10,911 m into the depth *wacko* ). Whatever any consistent theory on hover propulsion would have to work out whether its technology is based on forces either pushing (as in the "Matrix" movies) or pulling or simply defying gravity (think UFO)... So all in all, I think you'd have no problem crossing the Alpes with a hovercraft unless you suck hard at manouvering ^^ my 2

this has got to be my all time favourite: a swiss green crocodile of the early 20s.... i know it's the highlight of every model train collection... yep! i have one too... :$ http://www-personal.umich.edu/~khmiska/SBB%20Crocodile.htm

those american trains look more aggressive, no doubt. they're supposed to transport huuuge cargo loads over large distances, contrary to european trains. the euro trains have to be highly efficient and easy to use. The result is a difference in design. honestly, i like them both, i just had to make a choice...

what a brilliant idea!! Yeah!! we must do that!! Surely they'll listen to reason!!  they must!! it's only logical.... .... right? That's sarcasm, right? Cos I'm serious. Yeah, I see the flaws, like anyone saying they're from Eurobricks to get in cheap and yeah, they're a big company. I know it won't happen, but I've really honestly genuinely serious in this well it would be great if lego were to let us in only because we're EB members  however, i'd be surprised if people over there would even be interested in lego at all. Several people over there are just students. lego is a job for them, a way to earn money, that's all. besides, i think we'll have a group rate or something, so perhaps we'll be lucky...
