Giving away set images is the most damaging thing someone can do to LEGO. In the space of a month or two the competition can pump out inferior products that look very similar to the LEGO set. Then it may even be on shelves before the set by LEGO. Either way there would be another brand's set with a lower price (and lower quality) in the same store aisle. If fans with connections want the trust of LEGO they need to refrain from leaking product images and information. Ben Well i'm not really sure what the story of this guy is... I think i've heard several different versions already, so maybe we should just stick to the topic, which is this exo force model...

ok... then i guess it won't really decrease in price. the batcave only has a limited production, and obviously the torsos will be quite rare...

the airtank is just the funiest thing. look at Paul (the second guy in the poster, from left to right). he's got no shoes on... yeah, that's a typical Beatles element: Paul is always different from the rest. it's just a great idea to create a lego space version from something that's so well known... and it's very nicely done 8-

FORT LEGOREDO like you've never seen it before !!!

the idea looks a bit weird to me, like a blue "yellow castle" kinda thing... -
what sets are they from?
-
welcome! we don't have that many town/city/train freaks around here! maybe you can activate a few of us...

are you sure, yoda? i mean , did you really take a good look at the current options? i mean, a good look, yoda?

well, there aren't really rules on EB, we kinda assume that everbody knows what's over the top and what isn't... just take a look at the sigs of others and try to blend in, that's all...

true! and remember the at least rumoured UCS starfighter from last year? not a trace!
-
:-P what makes you think, old timer, that i was refering to you? Don't you know we have real young members here? :-P compared to them, you're a dinosaur!

this atat looks like mindstorms atat to me... at least r2d2 has lots of parts... g... these ucs sets used to be the best of the best: lots of parts, great designs, something you could actually show family and friends without being laughed at, but it seems the regular sets are a lot better these days. UCS has become a dustbin for every idea for a model the lego designers have come up with...

well i guess it's really up to starwars.com and fbtb to have a major role in this, but sure, why not, that is, if they haven't figured it out by themselves yet... you really wonder where these options are coming from...

i guess it's true what you guys are all saying: greeblies dominate modern space Mocs. somewhere along the road we may have decided that every space moc should have lots of them. Perhaps it's because we now have the parts to do this or maybe it's a reaction against the classic space stuff that didn't have any. I think that this ship, even tho it is a SNOT-greeblie combination, has a good balance between parts and greeblies. jipay, I think the engines are the two side - sections and i guess the front of the midsection is the air intake, if that actually exist on a spaceship... wouldn't be very usefull anyway... oh well... I think it's a racer of some kind... and yep, kiku, the hoses have the wrong colour... he should have used the life on mars hoses

i came across this computer graphic when i was searching the internet for lego catalogues... I think it's hilarious, even tho some of our younger members may not entirely understand the humour behind it, so i've added the original creation as well: Classic space base abbey you can find rest of this artist's creations here i think it would be nice t have this hanging on your wall, next to that Vermeer and Picasso :-P It only shows that you don't have to build actual Mocs to be appreciated in the lego community... :-)

ok... i think we already know what will win here... none of the above me as well... g... i wonder how many parts that set will have! :-P

i wouldn't worry about that. i got a vader keychain from ras74 last year at the billund event , put it on my kaychain and it 's still serving me very well. besides, if you want to put out the metal element, you really have to pull very hard, but it's doable. i bought i few troopers and several r2d2's last year and did just that. afterwards, you'd have to fill up the hole, obviously, but i wouldn't worry about the keychains falling apart...

snefroe replied to legomilk's topic in General LEGO Discussion
i know what you're looking for, i wonder why you 're looking for these -
we have a glossary here on EB... it refers to these grey bricks that suggest all sorts of mechanical details of the "machine behind the ship" actually, i would display this...
-
thought i'd bring this ship to your attention: it's not mine but i like it a lot, even tho I'm usually not into 1 manned spaceships... I especially like the way he's integrated the greeblies into the ship's structure... the rest of the gallery on bs

I'm looking for buildinginstructions numbers
snefroe replied to legomilk's topic in General LEGO Discussion
i'm curious... what is your interest in those? and do you know if that number changes between a first production year instruction manual and a second , for instance? -
100 dollars would be cheap, really: 6244: 12 1729: 25 6296: 30 1788: 25 6248: 11 those are the lowest prices on bl; in all about 100 dollars + 34 minifigs, let's say 1 dollar for a minifig, which is rather cheap, 134 dollars would be a cheap bl price i'd say 150-170 dollars would be decent, 200 probably a bit high, below 150, would be a great deal ah yes, before shipping!
