  1. the rumour goes that they would want to avoid germany, so they wouldn't cry if they'd lose tonight...

You're taking things too seriously dear Count Sneffy. I only called it a library because it sounds more interesting than calling the forum "Set information". Its all hype and sensationalism to make it sound more interesting than it really is. I think another word for it is called "advertising". well i think it would be very interesting to have something like this for pirates; many people do wonder what price to pay, what bid to do, and it would be extremely interesting to analyse all this information, just to see what sets are available for what price, what the price evolution is, ... oh well, we'll see
  3. i think argentina will win by a small margin, but since both teams are already going to the next level, we may be seeing a great game with lots of great actions, but it's not impossible that both teams are just happy with a draw... perhaps both trainers will keep their major players off the field so they can rest, like Robbe...
  4. i'm also wondering about the price..; the 2004 x-wing with yoda's hut, had a huuuge price tag of 84 euro! later on , 74 euro, but still extremely high!! so i'm kinda hoping they're not going to add a bunch of minifigs or extra equipment, cos that would probably bring us back to 80-90 euro... :-X and yep, we also have the 2004 xwing here, so i'm not really sure where lego is going with this... anyway, i guess the remake suggests that only the absolute sw classics sell very well, all the other may be selling just above average or so?

right now, phes, i'm trying to grasp all the new changes of the pirate forum, still trying to find my way in it... most of all it'll depend on the activity of the community i guess For instance, it's great to have a sub for ebay findings, but if other people from around the world don't contribute in terms of new ebay auctions from their part of the world and their experience as a buyer/seller for a specific set on an almost weekly basis, then it 'll be practically useless... but if they do, then chances are that it'll be too much and the user will just simply lose himself in it... Rather sooner than later, he'll just drop the whole thing, not being able to get the correct information... a library is not a question of collecting as much information as humanly possible, a library is all about allowing people to only retrieve the information they need as fast as possible... I also think it needs an introduction, because right now, it's giving a false picture of things. If the australian public is willing to pay 20 USD for a set, then that doesn't mean a belgian should be thinking about a max bid of 18 euro or so... different ebay markets, different supply-demand, different price. So a belgian should be looking for a belgian bid in the library, not australian bids, but if the community doesn't add these, then the library is quite useless for him...
  6. no, germany will beat them. they're playing home, they're in the winning mood and their game is very solid and well organised.
  7. ok... just voted for kim, for several reasons, really: 1) i'm slightly drunk, so i don't really know what i'm doing exactly... :-P 2) Kim is an eventee, and we, eventees, should back each other up! :-P 3) i vote for any one megablock on star wars! :-P
  8. did you see this lack of quality before as well? I remember specifically these parts they looked a bit ... transparent... as if you could see thru the plastic, but that was waaaaay before the crane...
  9. you love space ships and astronauts? you want lego to give our dear Galaxy Explorers and Starships back? you're sick and tired of yet another X-wing and Slave 1? you want more greeblies and fewer jar jars? you're tired of these fleshtoned creatures that don't even wear airtanks? you're not afraid to shout outloud you're a space fan? ... or maybe you just wanna give us, Space freaks, some moral support :-$ Then get your own, special Space tag! No, you won't get an MISB space monorail (unless jipay can find the budget for it ... ;-) ) and i'm afraid you'll have to pay every pound of the 775 pounds for the Ebay Super model yourself, no it won't get you in the EB staff (unless jipay wants you to ;-) ) So how will this work? three ways : You'll either wake up one day, turn on your computer, click on EB forum and hopla! your own special tag appears underneath your name... Or some one can nominate you for a tag, he/she has to have a tag already, obviously Or you can ask me one for yourself
  10. only watching with one eye i'm afraid, but i'll assume England wants to win this and Sweden didn't really do well last time so i'm thinking 2-1 for england or even 2-0
  11. well i'm not entirely sure what's going on in terms of quality. I mean, they're clearly outsourcing, so i guess that means it's up to lego to decide how much they're willing to pay for what flextronics produces. However, if they're not happy with the product, they can always look for another company that delivers a better product. what makes me sad, though, is that Lego more or less leaves Billund, except for bionicle, as if that's going to be in production for another 5 years... and technic, which is a very small market segment these days...
  12. thanks for the news! it's terrible that once again people have to be fired... let's hope they'll be able to expand again in a few years time it seems however, for at least Belgium, that Lego is doing very well again, so i guess lego should be out of this crisis in the next few years...
  13. imagine you having to sort all those parts from all those sets first , then having to rebuild all sets before you can put this collection on ebay! g... should be a huuuuuge pile of bricks! :-P :-X
  14. well that's not so difficult. if you had a shop in the past or if you started your collection a few years back when lego sw was still a dream instead of reality... and with quite a lot of money... i think money is a major part of it. having a shop though still doesn't really explain having a $42k hobby. if he is an eccentric millionaire, why sell now? no i mean, maybe he had a toy shop several years ago and decided to quit with it for whatever reason and didn't bother to sell his last stock ... or perhaps he loved lego and kept a few boxes for himself every time... in any case, there are some sets you just don't find in that condition anymore, not even on BL, like a boxed Garage 361,... 8-
  15. well that's not so difficult. if you had a shop in the past or if you started your collection a few years back when lego sw was still a dream instead of reality... and with quite a lot of money...
  16. i would too... but it kinda exceeds my monthly lego budget... :'-(
  17. some one on Belug.be posted this Ebay offer : http://cgi.ebay.com/Massive-Lego-Auction-M...bayphotohosting this must be one of the most impressive collections i have ever seen, and personnaly, i think this guy ought to be shot for selling it! :-P just take a good look at what's there: monorails, classic town sets in MISB and nearly mint condition, space, star wars,... whatever... and only for 42500 dolars! i think he could have sold this this for a lot more with a little bit of patience... he should have sold this in smaller lots and seperate sets...
  18. in terms of football, yesterday probably was the most boring day since the start of the cup. s-Korea - france wasn't really great; Brazil - Australia didn't do much for me either and the first game of the day... g... i can't even remember what that was... :'-( so i'm hoping for Spain to show at least just a little bit of magic tonight... The other games? Saudi arabia... Togo... Ukraine... hm... think i'll pass for the afternoon... if my addiction allows me to, that is...
  19. hm... the french played like old retired superstars: no motivation, no will to fight and win... i think the french got it all wrong from the start. the trainer, for instance, didn't have any control over his stars Korea deserved a draw, but they're not great either... france should have won, though: 2-1. camera shots clearly show the ball crossed the line
  20. this is the same model, however, with a some what lowered pricetag still, i wouldn't buy it, because i think you can get all the parts you need for a lot less than 79 euro. In fact, there's no proof that these parts are original, there's no box, no instructions, nothing that justifies a high price...
  21. ok... les bleus now... ah... 1-0 already... Oh well... These Asian countries never played any major part at a cup, except for the last one, so the'll most likely loose 2-0,... it seems there was a huuuuge fight between the french after their firs game, so maybe that changed a few things...
  22. i guess he's just trying to give an update, np... maybe your missing numbers don't exist?
  23. whaaa... just woke up... so... anything exciting happened?
  24. ok... 45 minutes have passed... g... this is boring... another minute and i'll fall asleep...
