    MM game

some one on classic space found that lego has set up a website for the theme, with this game on it. the only thing that frustrates me a bit is that the game window is quite small and you loose control over the guy once you're going out that window with the cursor... very often leading to the death of your fig... :-X
  2. then you check to see how old it is and how relevant your message is. if you just wanna give your opinion about something we discussed in a thread 1 year ago then maybe it's not all that neccessary to revive that thread by adding your opinion. if it's news, something that has been mentioned before, then just add your post. seriously, there are no rules here, we're just relying upon our members to use their common sense...
  3. no it's not (even though not important in this discussion). for instance, you're not allowed to put official video clips or bootlegs on youtube for every one to see unless you have the permission from all copy right owners; youtube is like a giant publisher who publishes every book he can find for free without giving any care about publisher's and author's rights. you're not allowed to do that.
  4. i agree up to a point. i've seen many topics in the past that really only repeated a topic we discussed just a week before. it's one thing to be happy and eager to share and start new topics, but very often it's far better to first check if there isn't a topic about that already. Especially on news, nesw sets,... it can't be that hard to see if it's not already in one of the appropriate forums we have a search function on EB i suggest people use it. People also must realise that we cannot allow them to start different topics about exactly the same thing. if we want to have a discussion, we're better off getting all opinions in one thread only. sure, "be nice" is a general motto on EB, but i'd be very happy if people were a bit smarter from time to time as well... ;-)
  5. according to belgian law, no, but it is illegal to sell them even if you don't know it's an illegal product. Belgian law is very strict on that, we've seen music shops for instance having to pay serious fines for selling copied cd's even though they had no idea this stuff was illegally copied. i think the major problem right now is the internet, with ebay and youtube.
  6. when ever you draw something in corel, you need to open the objectmanager as well. that way you can easily place one line on top of the other. what you do is this: 1) start from the file you attached to this post 2) click on the oval, and delete the black outline (go to the third last icon in the left column, click on the smal arrow in the corner of the icon, then you get a list of new icons, click on the third) 3) then copy the oval. you'll see in the object manager that this object is now the highest item in the column... add the outline (click on the same icon, then on the fourth or fifth icon,... depending on how thick you want your line to be) 4) click on the crossed white box, on top of the right column with the colours. that will erase the white filling of the object. 5) once you've done one eye, group the entire group of lines to one object, by selecting the lines, and go to "sort", which is the fifth column, next to "layout' on top of your screen, then select "group" 6) go to the objectmananger and give it a decent name, like "left eye" or something. then just copy the lot the MCN template has got to go, once you've drawn all your lines in coral, just delete the RGB-map in the objectmanager; you only need to do the mouth, right? 1) select the Bezier-tool 2) go to one end of the "mouth" to start a line, scroll with your mouse at the screen in the direction of the other end 3) do the same with a second point of the line, which is the other end of the mouth, then you get a curve. manipulate that curve by selecting the second icon in the column to the left, then click on either one of the points and you'll see two arrows. move those around to change the curve.
  7. i think it's illegal because: it's almost an exact copy of the set, sure, there are a few minor differences, but any one who knows just a little bit of Lego pirate ships knows that this is a clear reference to the lego model. it's like the illegal manufacturing of clothes, like Versace,...: the quality is not the same as the real thing, the model may not be an exact copy, but you get the picture...
  8. has anybody seen this before? it's gotta be an illegal copy of the legendary set, right?
  9. you're right, it's a garbage can, but in this case, i'd say it looks cool... it easily fits into the rest of the SNOT design... i agree the cockpit is a bit small, i think he didn't use the inverted slope underneath the grey brick to the limit, forcing the pilot not to sit, but lay down...

    Lego Smuggling

this almost looks like a "copmike operation" X-D there's probably also a question of import tax and low valued dollars...
  11. the first thing i noticedis the arm in the cockpit. must remember to steal that in a future moc :-D i like the over all look, really. it reminds me of the B-17 bomber and i think it has some great potential as a ship of peaceful exploration...
  12. you know, maybe we should set up a contest with one question only: "When do you think *yoda* will get his eiffel tower?" X-D if you win, you get his eiffel tower X-D my guess is, by the end of August... like all the others... X-D

  17. my guess is they're trying to get decent sales for the sets by adding these space guys... :-| but that's my personal and unbiased theory X-D
  18. g... suddenly so manny candidates... you'd almost think the winner gets an MISB classic space collection X-D
  19. g... everytime I see *yoda* 's on, i expect an eiffel tower review... and every time i'm disappointed to see nothing new ... it's becoming a Pavlov complex really X-D
