erm... because for some reason the attachment of yours was copied and worked fine in the previewed post, but not in the actual post, X-O so i changed the deeplink to a link. But look on the bright side, if you don't win, you can always blame it on that.. :-D
-
weird, now all pictures in the link are gone. anyway, there were two 2x2 stickers with skull and bones, black background on the sheet. I can't be from an ideabook, because there are no large ideabooks with pirates, however, we've had several comics , maybe they're from that line? can't imagine these to be "promo stickers" for shop owners; they are too small for that i think Phes, aren't you supposed to have 99% of the pirate line? isn't there a sheet like this one anywhere in a comic/set?

yeah... i remember the topic... still... let's not go there yet again

Would you like electric lighting in your Town sets?
snefroe replied to JINZONINGEN73's topic in LEGO Town
i think the problem is that if you're talking about an electrical system for town substance, like lamp posts,... you need to have extra city substance sets as well, like a set with these lamp posts,... and Lego doesn't want to release that... they'd also have to create an electrical box and wires... That wasn't a problem with the old trains, because trains had these wires anyway... -
hm... maybe the point of the thread is to find the purpose of the thread... :-|| or maybe it's a pirate version of the "tie fleet-thread". that used to inspire others in the past as well... :-|| maybe one day in our lives everything will become clear to us... usually that happens when you die :-D

don't know that book... |-/ one of the best pages/pictures of Lego i ever saw, was the double page of book 6000, when the starring couple leaves the cinema, take on their air tanks and fly to the other planet with the space cruiser. That all happened at night, when everything was dark, except for the lights in the cinema. that was really great! it set an atmosphere you could never ever duplicate in any daylight scene... i also like the old light and sound sets. i wouldn't mind having them back in the catalogue, even though the sound would make parents nuts... -
Consensus of the new themes: Castle and Mars Mission

well maybe he should have offered this lot on bricklink. surely there are people there who are interested in this collection. after all, there are some expensive/valuable parts in there even though you, as a bl store owner, may not be able to sell them all at once in the next week. The one bag i'd be interested in, however, is the bag with the transparent plates from classic space... that alone should make a reasonable price...

yeah, but check the sticker sheet underneath. unless my eyes are playing tricks on me, there's a pirate sticker sheet with skuls. didn't even know a pirate sticker sheet existed.
-
oops... yep, that's the one...

1) kk has been around for a few years. it must have some fanbase, castle is brand new. wait a year and we'll talk again... 2) maybe the kids don't really like the skeleton army. maybe they do want the traditional soldier vs soldier with high profile (coloured) knights, not armies... -
well honestly i think the guy just wants to get rid of it all at once, no fuss, no extra deals, and i don't think he has great sets in there, sure, books and parts, but no boxes, so i wouldn't count on too much. even the sets that he has aren't the most popular around
-
well actually, if you look at the photo above the one showing the wheels in this bid on ebay, you'll see there's a sticker with a skull in the bag to the left. another photo with stickers show even more skull and bones

in that case, i'd welcome them if the quality is as high as the current line, actually, with this quality, i'd even accept another police station X-D -
welcome g2p *sweet* X-D ... g... not even two posts and guy already has a second name on EB :-P another frenchy... :-X X-O ah yes... that may just as well work against you, but we'll try to ignore that... X-D :-P anyway, all will be forgiven when it turns out you're a space fan! :-P :-P

well actually, these city sub space themes would not make me happy as a space fan. those sub sets are just city sets with a space shuttle or a rocket, that's not space. :-X i can understand that it satisfies the needs of city fans who want more than the current city line, but it doesn't help the space fanbase -

honestly, AR came out of nowhere when they released it a year ago. there was no theme of the catalogue that preceeded the theme, sure aquaraiders and stuff, but that was years ago. it's a sort of stand alone theme with no longstanding fanbase, websites,... also, it was only available in specific countries and on lego.com. To me, it didn't really have any reason to exist and i can't really see a reason why they should continue. sure they could produce other sets, but i just don't think they'd attract as much attention as a new big space ship, a big castle,... -
here's another one does anybody know where the large classic space cover comes from? the one to the left? never seen that before
-
yeah, and the old sets from the 70's aren't popular anyway... i hope for his sake that he didn't add a too high reserve...
-
what part is that exactly? *wacko*

ah yes, don't forget, many people are buying castle sets and MM sets at lego.com, because these sets aren't in most of the shops just yet. so any success may be deceaving... -
