i think articles like these were to be expected. it's a normal reaction for some groups, or people who are living in our society. i also used to have these plastic revolvers and a cowboy rifle when i was a kid, i don't think that has had any effect on me. what is far worse is the abundant violence in the media, than lego producing plastic guns. btw, there are lots and lots of toys with far more realistic weapons than Lego's...

well i guess he tried to get lots of highly popular, but rare parts in the set, making it more worth wile for AFOLs . in that regard, he succeeded. I'd like to see some high resolution pics first, but it looks fine, even though not the most beautiful house design i've ever seen. However, what worries me is the SNOT technique for the pavement. One of the great things of Lego sets/houses, is that you can always "fix" pedestrians on the baseplates. Not in this case, unless you loose the tiles, and if you do that, i'm pretty sure, this model with be looking a lot less attractive, and if you don't, figs will fall almost constantly, which is very very very annoying, especially for kids. First, never apologise for having an opinion. ;-) second, i think it would sell very well as a city set, but i'm afraid Lego feels these houses are not "city" as such. They're too complicated for kids, and don't have enough playability. maybe there's also a problem with production; after all, even though it's a Lego direct set and they're still having problems with producing enough sets!

i only saw the second half of the voting, but here belgian commentators, real eurosong fans, thought the entire voting was a joke. in the end, the started to guess what points each country would give to others, and they were very often right on target. The UK points were hilarious as well: UK got points from Ireland and Malta, two former strongholdes of the island. It shows two things really: 1) we in the west also give points to related countries 2) nationalism has corrupted the voting system the winning song isn't all that great, imo, but i guess doable...

looks great, as long as it's available for two years or more, because yet another 140euro in the next couple months for this set is not simply allowed by my wallet.

you do know that if you win, you'll most likely organise the show next year, don't ya? then there will be no escape from it for an entire year! :-X :-P X-D not to mention the costs :-X :-| X-D

well the other M:tron ship is really not attractive, making this one the best of both. i do have a double of this model but it's out of my reach to check the instruction book. in any case, i did have a 1x2 black connector brick left, maybe that was part of the originel set? :-/
-
We were all quite excited when M:tron was released in 1990. Red parts in space was a first *sweet* , but it looked cool, even though most of us were hoping for extra set from Space Police or Blacktron.. The Particle Ioniser was this year

i think you should question your sanity... :-| X-D I mean, you clearly spent lots of money on 5 gunships, 5 destroyers,... and maybe 5 is just a little exagerated? why not sell two out of 5 and use the money to expand the collection? In the end, 5 Blockade runners doesn't really improve your collection compared to "only" :-| 3...

as I said in the other topic, you can post several pics, but don't exagerate. Refer to your BS-account if you've got lots of pics you want to show us. REMEMBER THE DEADLINE: JUNE 4TH!

i think they were supposed to be launched in August. I think the Paris Lego shop may just be an exception. if they can buy sets that are on a list, and that list includes Mars Mission, they'd be stupid not to order it...

cool it! >:-) you're in my town here, "mayor"! :-P X-D

not really sure why though... *wacko*

well actually master *yoda* , i'm drooling only because of the conditions of these parts. Most of these has got to be 20+ years old and they still look waaaaaaaaay better than mine! :-P :-X it's goota huuuge playability factor, and the seperation link is great, but i don't like the over all design of the ship. The big house at the back is too big, hangs too far over the grey wing... the landing gear mechanism is nice, but as such, esthetically, not all that special... however, master *yoda* , you know what would really make me drool all over, is a review of a new Mars Mission set :-P :-P

"let's all vote for England"? have you heard that song, tt? it's awful! :-X :-P 1) i think all western countries scream very loud after yet another loss in this game. Last year the dutch threathened to leave the show all together. Belgians are usually unhappy because they normally never get qualified anyway, very often thinking they did have a good song... :-| But in the end, they always send some one, because the preselections in Flanders to find a potential candidate is a very interesting commercial event with more than a million people watching and voting for 5 or 6 Sundays in a row. You have to be pretty stupid as a tv-channel to let this go... 2) the eurosong freaks here in Belgium got 7-8 out of the 10 right, so all in all, these countries probably did have better songs. I know the belgian performance was far from perfect and i remember from last year that that performance wasn't perfect either. the thing is, to these countries in the east, this show is what it used to be for us: a competition with lots of prestige, a national moment of pride, so they're spending quite a lot of money and effort in it, not only to produce the song but also to get the entire society behind it. For us, Westerners, it's just yet another competition, and not even a very interesting one... Bashing eurosong must be one of our favorite hobbies... still, you can't ignore the fact these countries are all in the same area of Europe. Coincidence? No, not really, because Eurosong is a show of nationilism. Where ever I'd live in Europe and i would bother to vote anyway, i'd vote for Belgium, whether that song is good or bad. I'm pretty sure it's like that with most people, and that brings me back to my previous post...

he man, stand in line, like all the rest ! :-P :-X
