  1. these ratings are fun... I watch them all the time... but ... they're at the same time total crap... they're so easily manipulated... i'll buy at least one ... if i ever find one...
  2. my God :oo you are a real pirate, aren't you? :P
  3. another problem is that i'm never at home. so they drop the box at the post office, which is understaffed, so I have to wait in line for half an hour at least to get my box... it's a pain in the neck...
  4. true... but i don't think that gave them the right to change the integrity of the products. It probably was a decision taken by the local headquarters of TLC. they may have had the right to change some elements of the box, for marketing reasons... perhaps we will be able to ask some one of TLC on our tour in summer.
  5. double T, do you want us to pay 175 euro, or 175 euro - 15/25 euro= 160/150 euro?
  6. i've just seen the photos of the Scout walker, since we still don't have any star wars sets *sing* that scout walker is really huge :oo, especially compared to the old AT-ST. TLC is going to have to produce a new AT-ST now, just to compensate for the difference in size with this monster...
  7. wow! :oo what a service! the command is even in my own language! :P
  8. master yoda is right, jon,... i don't have it either...
  9. consider yourself grounded, mister! >:(
  10. do we know how high the number of casualties of eurobrick members is? i know double t's joke stopped my heart from beating for a split second, surely we must have lost a few people :P btw double t, if you weren't our tour organisor i would have shot you on sight :^^D hold on... what if this isn't a joke? :P
  11. TLC uses some of the forums/websites as a marketing instrument. a forum is after all an extremely efficient way to spread certain (commercial) information. the entire story of the Death Star was a brilliant piece of marketing... there's also a difference between reading posts and listening to what we have to say... unfortunately, it all comes down to us not being numerous enough... we, afols, don't represent enough people... and Jipay... i read your reply... and I don't believe you :P :P :P Let's leave it at that...
  12. well... i'm hoping i'll see them in the shops on Saturday... but i'm not optimistic... i'm affraid i'll have to wait some more... *sing*
  13. So its more a social aspect and the ability to communicate with others who have similiar interests as opposed to actually buying whats for sale? no... TLC just tries to sell the left overs after a production run. better to try and sell it than to have to write it all off or stock it...
  14. i have no clue what you're saying here, Jipay. if you'd follow this line of reasoning, than you should have to delete A LOT of the posts/topics on this forum... obviously, you learn from your mistakes, so it would not be great if we were to forget and not mention the things TLC is doing wrong, in our view... in fact, it would be great if TLC read this, and took notes you're also mistaken to think that TLC is not aware of our presence, after all, Eurobricks is mentioned as a "Project" in TLC's own financial report of 2003; TLC also told the administrators of this website to put the news of the combo set off line, a while ago, remember? so at least some one of TLC is taking a look once in a while
  15. you also have this phenomenon of different numbers, same sets, like the Galagy Explorer:497 US and 928 non-US weird... *wacko*
  16. you're right! these evaluations are always subjective. the boxes are in many cases over stock... no cannons or boats, no castle walls and cell doors either... i did find antennas with flags and pirate flags in the past, but not this time... i found slopes, but you would really have to look for it... i sometimes meet people there (all adults, btw) and they mostly look for technic bricks (because they're expensive via TLC/bricklink) and traditional bricks... that's why "fantastic"...
  17. i'll just use this topic for this message, since it's not important enough to set up an entirely different topic: i went to Aachen today and found a "Pick a brick" in Teddy & Co. usually these PABs are so and so... a lot of useless parts and some really great parts... This time, the PAB was fantastic! "2 x 4" bricks in all colors you want; technic bricks 1 x 10;12;14;16 ; headgear; brown seats; radar dishs 2 x 2; 3 x 3;... the bags are a bit expensive, tho: 6.99euro another PAB in "Dreamland" still puzzles me. i went to the shop yesterday, and the boxes were still there, but all closed. so i asked an employee to open one. he said that only people from TLC were allowed to do that and they only come on specific days... weird, especially, because other stores don't care about that and open the boxes in any case...
  18. i'm hoping for a couple of big ships, with and without minifigs, i'm not familiar with their names, but a spaceship, 1500 pieces, handfull of minifigs, 150-200$ (like the AT-AT, sandcrawler,...) would be great :oo
  19. snefrog? you're lucky pharaoh Snefroe has been dead for more than 4000 years or he would have done all sorts of unpleasant things to you... :P Me, i'm just his humble servant, i can't kill you for that, besides, you're the guy behind the event, so i can't kill you anyway... well... not before the event... and my cat, also called Snefroe... well... she can't read...
  20. Jon, what are saying? are going to take the car to Calais and then all the way up to Denmark? wouldn't it be better to take the train op to Edinbourgh and then a plane to Billund or so? or from london?
  21. listen, master yoda, don't feel pushed by us for this digital camera. if you have to choose between a camera or a turbo tank, than go for the tank :P
  22. i think TLC should spend a lot more time and effort to the city theme. i saw the entire cataloque of playmobil today... man what these guys are producing, just for their city theme is amazing: zoo, shops, cars, houses, gardens, supermarket,... why doesn't TLC do the same? she surely has all the parts for it. with the star wars licence being gone, she's going to need another space theme... harry potter will not be around forever, either. i'm hoping for a historic theme as well, like romans,...
  23. 10.22 according to double T, it will all begin at around 1, but it wil be nice to have some one in billund airport to meet. from there we can take the bus to the village or at worst a taxi. it's all very quiet at the airport, that i still remember
  24. i've already booked, 'cause of increasing fuel costs, but it's also the drag of having to sit in a car for many hours... the flight is i guess 2 hours or so... Medib, i think you're better off going from Canada to Billund directly, instead of going the germany first.
