there must be something wrong with us as well... i mean, TLC only had 60 candidates for the ambassador program. that's not much, is it? i think they would have better communication with us if they would actualy post messages on a regular basis on the main websites; i think a lego rep. could easily answer quite a lot of our questions on all sorts of lego related subjects... still... Jake and jan beyer are they only guys who seem to post on lugnet from time to time... and normally they don't really discuss things, they just announce the latest decision... conclusion: there's a real communications problem between us and TLC, even tho we've got an ideal instrument to talk: the internet

i'm not questioning TLC's nature as a company; my point is that it's simply not accepteble that even designers of lego models have never heard of any lego fanside. it's not about policy/attitude of the communications/marketing department, it's about the fact that people of the company who are doing exactly the same thing we do, don't seem to care what we think of their models. those people are not communicating with us directly, even tho there are many channels to do so... to me, it's also not acceptable that TLC hasn't even volanteered to take over the brickshelf scan department (as far as i know, anyway)... that would be a great gesture to the community, and it wouldn't cripple their budget. guys, could we by the way, keep this thread more or less limited to websites and TLC? i mean, we've got lots of other threads on TLC as a company... no need to repeat that here again... i do apologize if i was the first to go off topic here ...

yes i know... it's almost impossible to believe, but very often it seems tlc doesn't care... might that be a difference with American companies? i very often have the impression that American companies are more open to new things, like the internet,...

hamleys.co.uk is a british toy shop i believe. it's in oxford street, London, but be careful, it's a wild sircus when you enter. too many people, ... way too many people... and expensive!! but they also have exclusives and a very small pab, that is also expensive

it's also available in shops in London: 44 pounds, i believe... i think it's not important if this set is detailed to the last canon, or if they're using black bulk or not... you should buy this just because it's from a different era in Lego world... out of nostalgia... you should build it and never touch it again (except for cleaning, that is, and only very carefully... :P )

this is disturbing news. i was just going to open a brickshelf account to post some pics of the lunchbox... perhaps i'll post those here instead... i've always thought that lego has an excellent catalogue of reference websites, where you can practically find everything about lego. Brickshelf has always been a flagship among those... one of the very best, even of vital importance to the community. I do hope that they will be able to arrange something with TLC. by the way, this is not just about afols... everybody uses brickshelf for all sorts of reasons... in the end i hope it all sounds worse than it is in reality...

talking about distribution of lego sets how's the distribution of sets in your country? we're almost june now and many small shops still don't have any star wars set larger shops, smaller chains really, like intertoys, also don't have sw sets larger chains like Makro, fun, dreamland, Bart smit, still don't have the complete series of sw sets in Belgium. i believe Mr. Phes wrote not so long ago that he finaly has the catalogue, even though 5 months have almost passed in 2005 is it just as bad in the rest of the world?

i think you can compare the popularity of the Champions League with your Super Bowl... it's a european competition of more or less the best 50 teams in Europe. it starts in september and ended yesterday. i wasn't really impressed. we may have had an exciting game because of the large number of goals, but i didn't really see the best football from a technical point of view...

i think lucas will use flashbacks to give ani's/vader's life more substance. these flashbacks will probably be seen through the eyes of a third person, not vader/ani... but a fighter pilot, a friend,... who knows...

well... it seems Lucas is talking about this role with an australian actor who was his second choice for the role of ani for the film. that suggest we'll get to see more of Ani, doesn't it? you don't need a look alike of C. Hayden to play Vader, do you? it seems btw, that they will start shooting in australia... don't know when but it looks as if lucas is pushing this tv series forward...

i don't get it, Lord Vader. if everyone joins you and you're army, then who are you going to fight? KhoRne seems to be you're new pupil... the galaxy is running low on potential enemies... in the end, you will have to order ed or yoda to be the rebel :P talking of rebels... how's Sarq these days? :P i also don't see how you're in need of new pilots. you've just had a new campaign to get new pilots and you're always claiming you hardly loose piots in a fight... sounds like you're lying to the people... i think the ewoks decimated your troops... :P and now you're after an old fashioned pirate? it seems to me, V, that you need to get you're act together... or perhaps it's time to replace you buy one of the captains... :P

thanks for that insight, Apo... what puzzled me from the beginning are the tan round tiles of the ship. they've been altered as well. they should be dark red in any case, and they look bright red to me... the stickers are always damaged. i've got 11 starfighters and none of the stickers is undamaged and look the same... also, look at the tip of the red wing. the change from dark red (not the color, but caused by the shadow) to bright red looks weird and is the same on both wings... so i guess it's a photoshop version, but a nice one...
