some questions for you, guys: 1) how can you post photos in the chat room? 2) how can you upload multiple photos on brickshelf? 3) it would be great if we could post photos in pm's as well... it seems we can't send pics thru eurobricks unless we use the forum... in the case of the billund project, it would be great if we could send pics to other members without having to go thru the forum for obvious reasons...

2004/2005 Hunting Star Wars Sets and availability
snefroe replied to DoubleT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
yoda, this red droid is just the cilinder of the red droid+ tan round plate+round dome... i believe it resembles the red droid in the film, which is, if remember this correctly, a bit larger than r2d2, with a full white "head". tlc had to do something to not to give the impression that this was an R4, basically a red version of r2 the reflection or whatever it is is problaby part of the front picture's drawing. that doesn't mean there's some sort of a special trick here... it refers to the red droid falling apart ... -
2004/2005 Hunting Star Wars Sets and availability

i agree. i prefer the plates instead of bricks, but bricks are easier if you want to build a set with a very high playablity; Cyclonis, the cockpit windows is a sticker. i'm a bit puzzled by the threads of this thing. Sam said before that the crawler would only have 4 threads, not the 8 we see in the film. how can this thing move on only 4 rather small threads? in fact, the front picture suggests there are 8 threads... -
well... it's better then i expected, but i'm not particularly dreaming about this either. i might buy this for the parts if it's not too expensive. but i'm not going to pay 150-160

i have no clue where tlc is going with this line. it seems as if this theme is a bad compilation of bionicle, the us dinosaur theme and the western theme. you can easily replace these vikings with castle knights for instance and it still would be just minifigs fighting creatures. there's no essential cultural viking element in this theme, except for the longboat... i really am disappointed with this theme. finaly tlc had the chance to show the world that vikings were not just cruel barbarians but fishermen, sailors, explorers,... but that doesn't sell, so it seems... very sad... the viking minifigs are the only thing that's good on this theme and the price of those will probably skyrocket on bricklink once they're available in europe btw, it seems they dropped the small boat set for the 7016 set...

lord vader, you shouldn't take out this rebel Phes because he might be a threat, you should kill him because he's annoying the entire galaxy :P we haven't seen any manifestation of whatever power he might have and he's distracting you from killing the real scum of the galaxy... i think he's lonely and simply wants attention... just give him a babysitter and move on... :P
-
but they don't want you to turn to the dark side, rebel... they will lock you up and make you eat yub yub burgers for the rest of your life... :P now what's worse you think? dark side - yub yub.... dark side - yub yub... hm...

Lord vader, my spies may have found the identification of this Pirate Phes. a satelite picked up a audio visual datastream; it included a dialogue between a guy called Lando and a guy called Han Solo. it seems this Lando was borowing Solo's ship, called the Millenium Falcon, but Solo was worried about what would happen with his ship in Lando's hands... then this Lando character says this: "Would you get going, YOU PIRATE?" we know Mr. Phes is a pirate... this means, this rebel Phes is a guy called Han Solo and his ship is not a wooden boat with sails but a ship called "Millenium Falcon"... soooo... you should be looking for this ship, and you've got rebel Phes... :P

so... you are an ambassador... tell us... why did tlc chose you, did they tell you? How do you evaluate your role as an ambassador? is it worth the trouble? do they consult you often,...? how do they get in touch with you, i mean, do you meet the other ambassadors at regular meetings, or do they work on an individual basis,...?
-
just to make sure there's no confusion. yoda switched the colors: dark grey/light grey/dark grey the standard is, as we agreed: LIGHT GREY/DARK GREY/LIGHT GREY
-
well... the first one, the medical, but the firefighter as well?
-
you're saying it's a promo set?

lord vader, may i focus your attention back on your work again? meaning, catching rebels? my spies told my languages escaped in Billund... your troops didn't do a very good job there... my spies told me something like : troops... party... burgers... Hilton... anyway... this languages has vital information about future moves of tlc but is not willing to go public with this... he says he took an oath... surely you realise this information cannot stay a secret... this information has to become public thru this website in order to get more members and more potential pilots for your fleet... this time i ask that you use your elite troops, the best of the best, to capture this creature and get the information...

Ah, I don't have that particular striped shirt. If you want to keep the Pharoh's shirt, that's ok, but I think the headdress is a little silly. let's try again, j i'll this torso: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.as...asp?P=973pa5c01 brown legs head: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=3626bps5 headgear: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=30171 and the glasses that goes with it... is that ok, j -

The Eurobase 2005 - What will YOU bring?

is there any one coordinating the work on the different modules? i think it's time to figure out who's building what and how these modules are going to fit... we only have two months and that isn't very long... i'm thinking of adding a bus/shuttle service from the airport to whoever wants to have a bus stop; a bus stop would basically be two seats, a light and a post, marking the bus stop. in all, a 4 x 6 space. i would provide those. i only need to know how many i would have to build. the shuttle would be 2 speeders, so i won't touch the rest of your module in any way... Also, if any one wants to contribute anything at all, but doesn't want to build a module for whatever reason, i'm happy to provide space for a spaceship, walker, car,... at the airport. i would only place them into my module by putting men, cars, fountains,... in the vicinity of your model... obviously, even if you have a module but want to bring a ship,... extra, feel free to do so... LET ME KNOW WHAT THE DIMENSIONS OF THE SHIP/... ARE to be clear about this: YOU will bring your model with you to Billund, we'll put them on the airport, together if you want... i'll bring the extra men, or whatever is needed, but you can bring that as well if you want to... -
"signs", the one with Mel Gibson, right? that was 3 years ago; it's even been on tv... not a brilliant film, btw "the ring" has also passed. i didn't see it, tho are you sure it's not for a dvd release?

it seems the pharaoh is giving some people nightmares, so i'll change my sigfig to this: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?M=bb001 it's the minifig of my oldest building book and i have very good memories of that. besides, this guy flew back in time, visited lords and knights, he built a spaceship and flew into space, saw the weirdest creatures and astronauts... surely that experience must be helpfull in solving murders... :P if you please, J -
thanks for the link, apo. it seems it's blown a bit out of proportion by the community... they're just asking for a little patience to solve the instructions/scans problem. brickshelf gallery is not going away i don't understand why tlc doesn't take over the scans/instruction section. no copyright problems, complete collection, money can't be a major obstacle either, fulltime assistance to maintain the site,...

are you using it as a keyring, a piece for the collection,...?

i just talked with J in the chat room... he said it's no problem... the pharaoh isn't a real person... he's just a character... besides, it will add to the creativity of the story... even tho this collection of characters sounds more and more like the Village People :P if i look like a mummy, that would be great... it means they can't kill me anymore, 'cause i'm already dead... :P by the way, J promised me to set a sarcophacus in the basement. at least i will have my own room! :P -
