  1. i guess i'll spend most of my money on bricklink orders in 2006, but i'll pick up a few sets also: the airplane vladek's castle smaller hospital sets lots of pods don't know about batman, avatar, new viking sets, spongebob,... i'd have to see the sets first. Much depends on the price tho. For instance, i'm not going to buy the hospital if it's 50

    Happy New Year

    happy new year, people!
  3. i saw the first discount of a 2006 set today. the hospital chopper was only 14
  4. Hey! im 10, and i can have some serious disscusion! >:( >:( that's weird! *wacko* you're supposed to be 13 before applying for a membership of eurobricks!
  5. 31
  6. i guess it's easiest to put the entire shield on a transparent sticker and cut the edges. i would also do that with the white stickers, because now you can still see the gray edges of the shield. Perhaps you can make a bigger black, or brown in the other case, outline. you also wouldn't be able to see if the sticker is exactly in the middle...
  7. unfortunately, several eb-members i've been talking to in the last few weeks indicate the phenomenon has taken over eurobricks as well. some one described the current situation on eb as "20 vcvc's on the forum", i wouldn't go that far, but i can clearly see an inflation of topics, polls and posts. Some even seem to think the forum is a chat room, it's not, last time i checked... i somethimes even see admins closing threads because they just don't make any sense at all, old threads are being revived even tho they clearly belong to the past. Some threads seem to continue long after the fun of it has gone, unfortunately, people don't seem to realise that, so they just keep on adding meaningless posts... I once tried to tell vcvc to think before posting anything and to ask himself if it's really relevant whatever he is going to say. i think several current members should be confronted with that question also. and then there's the question of personal stuff, like avatars and sigs. i have no problem with either one of them, but that doesn't mean you should just take all the space you want and fill half my forum window with only your post...
  8. so you're using two layers (stickers) doesn't that make it very thick?
  9. if i'm not mistaken, jesus did that as well.... he also knew he wouldn't die by the hands of the romans; he would come back as well...
  10. one remark, tho. the soldiers and flags on yellow castle aren't the original ones ... question: look at the shields of both white-blue knights. the dark brown on both shields look different. is that the light or are they really different?
  11. they're really great! i don't have any, the dark age was falling upon me... in fact, i discovered some in a catalog only recently, like set 1974. 6079 looks pretty unfamiliar also... come to think of it, most are still a mystery to me...
  12. you've got quite a collection of classic castle figs! did you buy the figs at BL or so or did buy the sets in the early 80's?
  13. nice review! i haven't built yellow castle for many years, but i do remember the fun i had building it when i was young... Yellow castle just opened up an entire new world for me... also, i liked all the alternate models on the box :oD wish i still had that...
  14. it surely is the german legoland park. first, "Allianz" is a german word, second there's a reference to Bayern M
  15. how much do they cost? 10 men... 3
  16. Not to put Jon under pressure or anything, but is there anything news to tell us? things like: any thought about the price? is there any idea for modules/theme to build?
  17. i saw Narnia two days ago and i would give it 6.5-7/10 first, expectations were high. as a child, i saw the animated film which was amazing! :oD one of my all time favorites... the graphics are great, but you need something more than just great graphics if you want to have a classic. i feel the story is a bit thin once the kids are in Narnia. i also don't understand what the which was talking about when she talked to Aslan in his camp, and you still don't know much about Narnia after having seen the film... i guess it's impossible to avoid a comparison with LOTR. both are epic stories with quests, battles, individual struggles,... unfortunately, narnia doesn't do well in that comparison: the battle is rather simplistic and doesn't really give what i was hoping for; the actor (Peter) doesn't really have the charisma of a king or a leader (especially compared to viggo mortensen). the quest to see Aslan is rather short and comes down to crossing a river and traveling thru a forest... it just lacks... something.... in short, the film misses what the frech call "grandeur". it's an attempt to turn a classic story into a classic film, but it doesn't quite live up to that ambition... btw, do we get 7 films (the book has 7 volumes)?
  18. dreamland unpacked the first 2006 sets today. Hospital: 45
  19. merry christmas... hope you get lots of lego
  20. i guess you know by now that everybody is also waiting for a new truckload of 2006 sets...
  21. i voted for darky...why? i don't know... i'm drunk and i don't respond to questions and polls very well, right now.... however, it seems i didn't send yoda enough money to get my caption in the shortlist...; or maybe he found that others were sending more money than i ...
  22. classic!
  23. i do drink a lot at my pc... beer and coffee mostly...; i try not to eat there, because of the mess...
