  1. Saw the Havoc on Flickr this morning and recognized it right away. Good job. Nice use of carrots as guns, BTW.
  2. Yeah, I'm still betting this is based on the first two episodes. I imagine it'll have Don, April, probably one other turtle, some Kraangs, maaaaaybe April's Dad, and a brick built Snakeweed.
  3. I don't love the Stealth Shell. But I love Fishface and his jetski. I'm not totally in love with the Lair, but I'll get it just for the Splinter figure and the parts it provides...the Shredder Dummy and manhole covers are great touches and it can get augmented easily enough.
  4. I own the MB versions and I was so disappointed in them I still ended up making my own custom Lego Turtles (I did swipe the sais and nunchucks from MB, though).
  5. I'm sure the deal that the makers of Wreck It Ralph made with the cameo video game characters do not include the right to merchandise said characters out. That's not usually how these things work. But even a line based on the original characters in Wreck It Ralph would pair great with the existing Mario Kart and Halo competitor sets or the Lego Minecraft stuff.
  6. Thanks for the look at the new pieces. I can't wait to have the Turtles in my hand.
  7. 3 points for number 9. tobiasgeserick
  8. April's a given. I imagine the Kraang Lab Escape set will recreate the scene from the pilot episodes where Donatello busted her and her dad out of prison.
  9. As someone who grew up with the original series, let me say, fans of the old series should check out the new show these are based on - it pays a lot of great, great homage (Splinter being a human-mutated-to-rat form instead of a rat-mutated-to-human, updated theme song) and you just might enjoy some of the changes. I'm a fan.
  10. Re-ninjafying since the update:
  11. Since the last thread went away, I'll say again, brilliant work. Love it.
  12. Not mine, but I thought it was totally worth sharing: Vulture (Marvel Comics) by TheBrickTeenâ„¢, on Flickr
  13. I'm all over that Bugle. The Ninja Turtles will look cool climbing the fire escapes.
  14. Dude, I totally agree. And, personally, I'm surprised we got as much unique character detail as we did. I was expecting a uniform chest print for all four turtles. I didn't expect Raph to have the chip in his shell or Don and Leo to each have their unique shoulder straps. I'm also betting that buying all four sets gives you at least two complete sets of Turtles - with eyes and without. Since in the show they switch between them and Lego probably wants to include at least one Turtle in every set. My one wish is I hope we see a Kraang more similar to the Star Wars droids instead of the minifigure version before it's all over with. Otherwise I could not be happier with these figs so far.
  15. Love love love. I'll probably get them all.
  16. I feel your pain. I want them now. But I have faith Lego did the Turtles proud.
  17. I wanted to create something similar to what TLG would have if they ever had the license. So the layout isn't accurate, but hopefully it's still recognizable as the base of the Ghostbusters. 18. That sewer wall is killer. Very nice. Figures are great, too. Casey could use some hair instead of the hat, though. But that's minor. It's great work.
  19. Awesome. I think I'll have to borrow that idea.
  20. Great head use. Which one is that?
  21. I think every Marvel fan jumped thought Scott Summers when we say the Hawkeye head. I was no different. Cyclops is one of my favorite X-Men, and I needed to have him to antagonize Wolvy. Tonight I lucked out in finding a way to make him a purist visor. I took the Lego visor which already sorta looks like his visor and clipped it onto a helmet upside down. This prevents it from closing all the way over his face, leaving his mouth showing, and still lining up the visor opening with his eye line. It's not perfect, but it's a decent purist solution.
  22. You don't need to use the Superman hair, the classic Lego hair covers Harry's scar just fine: Secret Identity by Hobbestimus, on Flickr Clark and Lois by Hobbestimus, on Flickr
  23. I bet we get backpack shells separate from the heads because it sounds like it would also be a useful piece for the rumored Chima series. And that series sounds like it will be great fodder for mutant minifigure pieces to go alongside the Ninja Turtles.
  24. I am so excited for TMNT Legos I can't stand it. I bought the Mega Bloks ones recently and wasn't happy with them, so I made my own from Lego minifigures. I like mine better than the MB ones, but I know official pieces and prints will blow mine out of the water. Real shell pieces, printed knee pads...*drools at the thought*
