  1. Thanks! I don't normally paint parts, but it was the only option for Trakker. I was happy with the results. Here's Lion-O, from the Thundercats. Lion-O by Hobbestimus, on Flickr
  2. I noticed last night that a clone trooper head with Hawkeye's hair makes a pretty convincing Norman Osborn. You could throw it on your movie bits or go more comic with some green and purple body bits and maybe a orc/witch head with a purple wizard hat for the mask...or, you know, just give him a business suit.
  3. Dude, your Splinter is killer. I mean, all your work is great, but I love that Splinter. I've been struggling with how to do one for myself for a while now, and I'm totes jealous.
  4. Oh, I need to try that vent plate thing. Love these, BTW.
  5. I'd rather see Terry McGinnis pilot that than Bruce Wayne, but I love it either way.
  6. These are based on the old MASK toyline: Mayhem and Trakker by Hobbestimus, on Flickr
  7. I fell in love with the Lego Batman 2 exclusive Power Suit Lex Luthor...but I'm not really a gamer. So I dug through my parts and gave LL a Power Suit (thanks to an old Brickforge order), a Kryptonite Cannon, and a new outfit based on his Super Friends appearance. I love me some conniving business man Lex Luthor, but I grew up watching the old Super Friends cartoon. Lex is much more nostalgically pleasing to me now than he was in the boring ol' suit.
  8. Try searching eBay for "Lego Torso Lot" or "Lego Leg Lot". You can often stock up on pieces this way. Good luck.
  9. Very cool. Hope we get something like this for Iron Man 3 for real.
  10. Freddie Knaup - 1 Alex "Daredevil" Brave - 1 Thomas Bury - 1
  11. Strong Arm - 2 NightHawk - 1
  12. Lone Star - 1 Night Hawk - 1 Vagabond - 1
  13. Dude, love the build. Great flame effect. I think I'm gonna try a Ghost Rider of my own tonight.
  14. Dude, that's awesome. Thanks so much!
  15. Would someone be willing to make me a face decal that wears a hockey mask similar to this one. Thanks!
  16. Great pic. You also need a pic of Superman lying on his back immobilized, using that same light.
  17. Yes, the 616 houses the Avengers, X-Men, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider, Blade, Daredevil and pretty much every Marvel character you've ever heard of before. All of these characters have different variations in the other universes, but that almost always stems from playing with the ideas originally introduced in the 616 universe.
  18. Prior to the Ultimate Universe there were still many Marvel Universes, but that's getting ahead of ourselves. The best way to think of it, IMO, is there is the MAIN Marvel Universe, which they call 616. It's the foundation, in a narrative sense, for almost everything. This is the Universe which has been published for decades and which Stan Lee and Co. were the architects of. Technically I believe the concept of the Marvel Multiverse started with Uatu The Watcher. Marvel published a series called "What If..." wherein a cosmic being dubbed "The Watcher" would show the reader different universes, where the Marvel Universe was skewed slightly in some way. This was the first time "other" Marvel Universe were explored. The Ultimate Universe can be thought of as one of these universes. It just happens to the be the alternate universe with the most stories published about it. When it comes to one character with multiple titles, like Spider-Man, yes those are generally all in the same universe or continuity. Usually the stories in these titles can be read without involving yourself in the other titles, but if you do read the other titles you get a bigger picture of Spidey's day-to-day goings ons. These titles will link up the big picture stuff - if Spider-Man's marriage is in trouble, it might be something he's worried about in all the titles, for example. Hope that's at all helpful. I know it can be confusing. At least isn't DC...
  19. I hadn't planned on getting the game, honestly...and it's hard to justify buying a game for a Lego figure...but on eBay he's running pretty costly, so you might as well the get the game for your trouble...What's a tiger to do?
  20. Love the ice skates as ax blades.
  21. *jaw drops* I just found out this figure existed and I have to have one. Such SuperFriends nostalgia...
  22. Thanks. My lighting isn't great in these pics, but the cheese wedges on the side mirrors are dark green. Since the red of the motorcycle is a little darker than Robin's actual red, I thought I'd make the green darker as well. If the greens and yellows on the bike matched Robin completely, then the red just looked wrong. So that's the IRL reason for the colors, but the geeky story justification is that the dark colors would retain Robin's color scheme, but not stand out like a sore thumb while riding around at night. Robin can pull his black cape tight around him while riding and not be a total target for the bad guys, I guess.
  23. Bumping this for some more simple MOCs. I think most of us were unhappy with the motorcycle Captain America came with. So I gave Cap Wolverine's bike. But what to do with that red motorcycle? Ship it to Gotham City:
  24. You should be able to find it at any of the major craft stores - JoAnn, Micheal's, Hobby Lobby, etc.
  25. Take Superman, add a Space Villain head and robot arm and a Rodney Rathebone robot leg and you've got yourself a Hank Henshaw. Although with yellow skin instead of flesh tones...
