Thanks, Kermie!

Did I miss Hawkeye wearing the Cyclops shades his minifigure has? I didn't notice them in the movie at all.
-
That's great, it almost doesn't even look like Lego. Could be a full size prop.
-
Very cool.

Noticed last night that Jungle Boy's torso makes for a pretty good Ultimate Sabretooth. He's even got slash marks in his chest from Wolverine.

I made a few purist supporting characters: Here's Alfred Pennyworth Lois Lane And Aquaman and Guy Gardner (my modded Wonder Woman isn't purist, ignore her):

It is Heroscape, indeed. I thought I might lose points for not using Lego backdrops, but the Heroscape ice was what I needed to produce the frozen effect for Cap. And then Superman shot was an afterthought that occurred to me while I had all the Heroscape stuff out anyway... Thanks for the kind words, guys.

MOC: Incredible Hulk #181 Cover (Wolverine vs. The Hulk)
Hobbestimus replied to moop's topic in LEGO Licensed
Wow, very clever. I think this is the first famous comic cover recreation I've seen with Lego. There need to be a lot more of them. -
Love the Buzz and Jessie one.

Thanks. For WW, I didn't like the official legs, so I swapped them out. I really dug the costume for the Wonder Woman pilot that was shot last year, so I went with a long pants version based on that. I don't love the basic blue legs as is, I wish they had some detail to them, but it's a step in the right direction.

MOC: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Sewer Lair
Hobbestimus replied to Hobbestimus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I am using decals for the masks and chests, but I admit they're not the most polished ones in the world, lol. I want to learn to use the waterslide kind eventually. Right now it's just some office store glossy sticker paper that I'm printing out on.But thanks for the kind words. -
An average day on the streets of New York. The figure in the coat and hat waits... ...until the coast is clear. He breaks for the manhole cover in the street... ...and descends... ...into his home. "You guys seen Leo?" "Where do you think he is?" "He's meditating." "Hey, Leo! It's time..." While in their lair, the Turtles can also hit the punching bag (in an incredibly blurry photo): Build things in the workshop: Or just go skateboarding: Here's some wide shots of the lair from all angles: Thanks for looking!

If you watched the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, then you're probably familiar with this character. If not, all you need to know is he's an evil pink brain from another dimension that rides around in the stomach of an android. He's my first attempt at a "mech" of any kind, but this is actually my second attempt at the character. I started with a brick built statue version: But, after exploring some SNOT techniques online, I decided to try and upgrade him so that he could move: Thanks for looking!

Hobbestimus's Pop Culture Salad

I definitely need some green neck braces. Unfortunately, I fear the 3x3 dish will keep them from interacting with the Turtle Sewer Lair I built - (they wouldn't be able to sit on the couch!) but I do like the look of it. Nice job.Your Shredder is great, too. Love the helmet. -

I had been using the Mega Bloks Ninja Turtles that came out a few years ago in my little cross character world. But I decided I was unsatisfied with them and wanted a real Lego set of Turtles. So I cracked open a Toy Story Soldier set and made some stickers: I still need to give them some back shells, but I need to order some brown neck braces and dishes to do that. You can see Raphael has a gray brace and shell on right now, just to test how that would work out. Here's my full Ninja Turtle cast to date: Also, a question: I've built a MOC Turtle Sewer Lair which I would like to share pictures of, but I don't know what forum that should go in. It's not a real Lego license, so the Licensed forum seems wrong...and even though it's a sewer, something tells me the Town/City forum would be wrong...where would I post something like that? Thanks for looking! -
Love it. I hope Lego is planning an official set like this.

Love the comic book store. The racks with the books are spot on and great use of Superman and Star Wars elements.
-
Love the way you did the villains. Lizard's coat and Scorpion's tail are both killer. What is Lizard's coat made from?

What's the Biggest and Smallest Lego Piece of All Time?

And I think the minifigure pirate hook would be even smaller. -
Cool. You could even use the lighter blue one as the "current Spidey" and the darker blues for the "ghosts" of where he's come from.
-
You could make a MOC scene with some New York rooftops and use the multiple Spideys as a way to track Spider-Man's route through the city. If that makes sense. Sometimes the comic will do something like this, where they draw one large background shot, but Spider-Man is drawn in, like, four or five different places and you read him moving through the city.
