  1. Look into 3D printing. There are even some websites, like http://www.shapeways.com/ that let you upload a design created in a computer and receive an actual physical product in return.
  2. That is killer. Amazing work all around. I feel like I could spend hours picking out details.
  3. Another Bump for a small mod. I got the Batman/Two Face set yesterday. Loved 80% of the official Batmobile, but went in and made some changes, mostly to the rear section. I thought the "fins" it came with were a tad over the top and I wanted to eliminate the flick fire gimmick.
  4. The staff set to come with Elrond looks like it's a little more accurate to Loki's Avengers staff. Still not perfect, though. http://smashing-bricks.com/2012/08/03/exclusive-bonus-lego-elrond-minifigure-with-lord-of-the-rings-special-edition-purchase/

  6. Genius build.
  7. Really nice job. You really captured the character. You should use a Count Dooku head on a Lego Monster Fighters Crazy Scientist torso to make his dad. :)
  8. Containment Grid by Hobbestimus, on Flickr Light Is Green, Trap Is Clean by Hobbestimus, on Flickr It's True, This Lego Man Has No... by Hobbestimus, on Flickr I've been customizing minifigures for a while now, but MOCs are kind of new to me. Proud of how this little build - I guess you'd call it a vignette - came out, though. I would like to do something a little flashier for the base, although I'm not sure what. Even though my Lego Ghostbusters are based on the cartoon show, I used the accessory that came with Mattel's Walter Peck figure for reference, so it's a movie containment grid with cartoon GBs. Close enough.
  9. I do like the larger figures for monsters - Cave Trolls, Wampas, etc. But, for my tastes, it's a little too big for the Hulk. I'd have preferred Hulk to be about Hagrid size, and I'd like to see more characters in that scale. But, between the Large Hulk we got and the minifigure Hulk, I'll take Large Hulk. Minifigure is too small.
  10. Yeah, it's Steve Rogers, Peter Parker, Tony Stark, Wacky Beach Thor, Bruce Banner, and Logan or James Howlett or whatever his name is now.
  11. Playing with making "civilian" versions of the Marvel Heroes, when a thought struck me:
  12. Are the new reveals giving anyone ideas? I think JJJ's suit would suit Clark Kent very well (just add a Harry Potter head and a black hair piece that covers the scar), while Rodney Rathebone's suit-vest-with-no-jacket might serve JJJ better. Plus Nova's torso and either Beetle's wings or the fairy wings from the new Collectable Minifigure line are a good start for Wasp.
  13. What would be the motive in being disingenuous and secretive about their main demographic?
  14. Love all these. Don't need the White Batman variant but I'll deal with it to get new Freeze, Bane, Aquaman or whatever else it may come with. JJJ and Jim Gordon are so welcome, I hope we see more supporting cast like Lois Lane, Jimmy Olson, and Alfred Pennyworth. My only nitpick is that I think Spider-Man is a little too blue. When the Doc Ock set hits this summer I think I may give him some red arms and see what it looks like.

  16. Love your Ares. The Lego skull is such a great touch.
  17. Nice outside the box thinking there. And very accurate representations. Love the fists, especially.
  18. Oh, wow, I think I've been in that exact room. Great vignette.
  19. She's totes more comicy. Could use a pair of vambraces for her trademark weapons. That could put it over the top.I really dig Catwoman in BW's clothes, though. It's easy to imagine all those pouches stuffed with cat-burglary gear like lock picks and such. Makes her seem more functional.
  20. Lots of great entries, voting was surprisingly hard. Congrats to the winners!
  21. Jesus, those look awesome. Can't wait for SDCC.
