  1. I'm just trying to figure out how my other parties managed to get like 12 SHIELDs between their first fights, yet yours gets one SHIELD that utterly failed to protect you from the real danger.
  2. Jeez, 141, y'all can't catch a break, can you? I'm half-tempted to try and roll all the 6's out of Random.org, but with your luck it'll probably just make you roll three in a row.
  3. Round 4 of Forest Fighting Frenzy Mac Remedies Ezeran (Ezeran: negative effects removed) Jinnipher vs. Baby Battle Ant Mob - Damage (Jinnipher: no deflection, 12-8=4 damage) >Terry (Ice) vs. Big Rat Barbarian - Spell (Big Rat Barbarian: 10+6=16*2*2=64 Ice-elemental damage (KO!)) Boris vs.uses Remedy on Kheyli (Kheyli: negative effects removed) Torald vs. Itsy-Bitsy Spider - Hit (Itsy-Bitsy Spider: 3+1=4 damage) >Ezeran (Wood) vs. Baby Crimson Scorpion - Damage (Ezeran: 3/2=1 damage + Cursed) Kheyli vs. Ebony Scorpion Mob - Miss (nothing happens) Terry poisoned by 2: -2 health Jinnipher poisoned by 2: -2 health Ezeran cursed: -10% max health With another mighty spell, Terry obliterates another foe, but it's not enough to turn the tide, as the rest of the party continues to take damage, with Boris the only Hero unharmed. Only Torald is successful in fending off his foe, but even that victory is dampened by Ezeran being Cursed. Mac frowns. "Brace yourselves. This'll probably get worse before it gets better." 4. Seconded. Relevant trope: Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies
  5. Which is what Arthur aligns with (heck, if Zepher allows it he's going to rejoin Heroica post-139 as a representative of the Golden Crusade). It's just hard for Arthur to split his family like that. Important Question: Since this is seeming to be more of a status-quo shift than a singular event, does this mean that all reputation gained from here on out has to be along party lines? Because that could get a little screwy for some things, Quest planning-wise. So can our Dragons.
  6. QM Note: Can someone give me an action for Kheyli?
  7. The Shadeaux have more likable children. For Arthur, the thing is that the Ziegfrieds are his family, but so is Miirym, and he can't risk losing her. When it was Shadeaux-Ziegfried, it was family versus friends (being against Ji Pei), so family won out. In this case, it's family vs. family and friends, which is a much murkier choice. Miirym's family too. If he sides against Shadeaux, he gets his "daughter" taken away by CPS...someone, I guess.
  8. We had speculated that it was going to be Shadeaux-Ziegfried-Bonapartes and Hinckwell-Invision-Ji Pei based on physical locations in Eubric. I'm...actually not sure what the basis for this split is.
  9. Wh-buh--that's not the division I was hoping for at all! Well, Shadeaux and Ji Pei, I suppose...isn't too bad. Sucks to have to go against the Ziegfrieds, though.
  10. Weather is pretty simple: whenever an attack includes the boosted element, multiply the damage x2; whenever it includes the inhibited element, divide by /2. Since the Bifrost Blades include both Fire and Ice, you do both (x2/2), effectively canceling out the effect of the weather. In this case, the Bifrost Blades would do 4x damage to the Fiery/Undead enemy, based on its imbued elements. The only complicated thing about weather is that it will let attacks with the boosted element deal 1x damage to any enemy that would normally be immune (so, in this case, a pure Fire-elemental attack would deal 1x damage); however, this doesn't apply to enemies that absorb an element, and if they have *Immune to [Element]* as an effect rather than as a result of their type, I think they are still immune as well (since the *Immune to [Element]* effect on enemies works like it does on Heroes, as a general rule).
  11. Speaking of Hall updates, Sandy, Arthur's profile pic is out of date--this is his current one--although if you or someone else wants to take a shot at a re-make with his current "main" gear, I wouldn't mind at all (Shadeaux Cloak, Blue Hand Shield, Tin Armor, Tin Greaves, and Unicorn Helmet; please don't include Miirym in the pic if you make one, though, since she's about to hit her next phase ). He also trained as a Weather Mage on the 18th of January, 2015 and then went back to Dragoon on the 3rd of April, 2015. ...wait, is all of Arthur's equipped gear at this point from Sandy? That's awesome!
  12. Yaaaay! Here's hoping there's rep available--I could really use it.
  13. I can check again, but I'm pretty sure the Marauder rules clearly state that they can use a dual-strike weapon instead of a pair of weapons, rather than in addition to. Which makes perfect sense for the class--you can either use a pair of weapons intended for solo use, or one pre-existing pair of weapons designed for dual use, but not both at the same time. Glad to know I'm not completely insane about the interaction between Confused and Enamored. Makes a future NPC ally's ability work mechanically the way I wanted it to.
  14. ...Damn. I'd forgotten what a badass Haldor was. I'm half-tempted to change my vote in these last *checks clock* seven or eight minutes. ...Buuuut I won't because I value WBD not hating me to death for changing my mind a hundred times in the last few seconds.
  15. When an enemy is Enamored and Confused, what's the order of operations for the effects? That is to say, does the Enamored outright prevent the attack (which seems a little weird to me), or does the Confused roll happen first, and then if they would otherwise attack the Hero they're Enamored with, they stop attacking? On a Marauder's SHIELD roll, if they're using a dual-strike weapon instead of a pair of weapons (let's use Hybros and his Twin Kunai as an example), how is their damage calculated? Is it (6+6)*3=36+3+37=76 damage, "combining" the WP of the dual-strike weapon twice, or only 6*3=18+3+37=58 damage, counting the WP of the dual-strike weapon only once?
  16. I'll second this. In the back of my mind, I had always had plans for Diana and Darius, but it was only when people mentioned missing them that I decided to put those plans into priority.
  17. Arthur drops his spear, the weapon so slick with Sven's blood it slips from his grasp. He unhooks his Stag Antlers instead, his hands thirsting for weapons, for blood, for death, the rhythmic beat of Hoke's and Hybros' footfalls echoing endlessly within his mind. "Foolishness," Arthur growls back, "is the cowardice of waiting for a man's illness to challenge him to battle. Foolishness is inciting an insurrection against strong, wise, fair leaders because you don't like their race. Foolishness is decrying the 'foreign influences' who saved this land in your last civil war even as you start a new one, and thinking we would not go just as far to save it again. This foolishness, Sven, comes by your own hand--but it is by ours that it shall end." Seeing Natasha in critical condition, Arthur uncorks a Grand Potion and offers it to her, from the Back Row. U'Voros and Miirym exchange a look, but continue to do nothing. The latter flies to Princess Ella and begins to speak with her. "<I believe the Heroes intend to end Sven's life. Will this end his rebellion?>"
  18. OOC: Wait, it's divided by all enemies? I was under the impression it was just enemies on his front. Clearly I am not as good at this as I used to be.
  19. So what was 104, then, The Circle of Kumbaya?
  20. There we go! Warlen can go Dragoon from his Letter, and Lind can be his Dragon.

Unfortunately, the poison marches on, draining everyone of a little more strength and putting poor Ezeran right back where he began. The Battle Ants try to Bombard Jinnipher, but her armor is more than a match for them; meanwhile, Boris and Torald both land solid hits, the latter spinning a single strike into a frenzy of blows against the enemy party. Kheyli beats down the murine Barbarian, but the Itsy-Bitsy spider manages to injure Terry regardless. "Unless one of ya tells me different, I'm usin' a Remedy on Ezeran next." 22. QM Note: I'll run the Round soon as I have an action for Kheyli.
  23. If any such people actually exist, I will happily buy their unwanted minifigures off of them, since they can just as easily play the game with just the token-thingys.
  24. I'd forgotten about the photoshoot, Heckz' face in that one is perfect! That was a great event, we need another one of those. Maybe next Anniversary?
  25. I have to admit, a lot about Lind (the character) works much better as a villain than as a Hero, despite Lind (player) trying to portray the exact opposite.
