Yeah, it's unfortunate. Hopefully Sandy will get more free time in the future to interact with the Heroes like that. (If Sandy's employers are reading, yes that is a not-so-subtle hint: pay him more, work him less! )

Arthur shrugs mournfully. "She followed her path. I may not agree with her decisions, but I can respect her resolve--and her ultimate goal IS one of good, even though many of her means of achieving it are not. But I have no interest in continuing the debate." Arthur looks to Alexis, and intertwines his fingers with hers. "I want to spend what may well be my last moments alive enjoying what I have. I suggest everyone do the same. In fact...Felton, could we perhaps take a moment--just a moment--before we press forward? To appreciate what we have...to remember who and what we've lost? I'm sure Hans would agree with the sentiment, wouldn't you Hans?" Arthur accepts the Grand Cookie, and absorbs it into his hand, directing its energies into increasing his Health.

Or Schezerade will do it herself. Seriously, though, I find it strange that people know about Byblos in the Library, but don't know about Schezerade at all. And how long has it been since anyone's tried to talk to Portia? If this keeps up, I may have to take drastic measures... *Prepares to PM Sandy with a devious plan...*

"Words, no matter who they're from, are always worth well more than a 'damn', Atramor, whether one agrees with said words or not."

"Cronk, you may borrow my Healing Staff if you so wish. My last Paralyzing Venom and Mead are at the party's disposal. I wish no gold, but would appreciate a share of the Grand Cookies." Setting the staff and the bottles aside, Arthur turns to Alexis and wraps the Assassin in an embrace. "I love you, Alexis. No matter what happens, remember that. If I die, which is likely, or if you die, which is likely, or if we both die, which is also likely, remember that the spirit endures ever on. I want you to know that, even if I die, I'm only a memory away. Even in death, I'll never let go. Remember that." Arthur kisses her, gently, tenderly, his lips as light on hers as the touch of a butterfly's wings, if not nearly as fleeting. It was the gentlest any of the Heroes had seen him, but though his lips lingered on hers, slowly, regretfully he had to draw away. "Heroes. It is time for truth to be revealed. I claim not that it is the only one, but I know that it is true for me. We must defeat Zoot. Wren is immaterial. Above all else, Zoot must be stopped. Zoot will rise. We cannot prevent that. But we can prevent his ultimate victory, we can stop him from devouring the Hall, the city, the world. And we must. At any cost. No matter what that cost may be." Arthur gaze lingers on Alexis, then Dyric, then flickered to the ceiling far above, where De'kra still stood in the Hall. Had they made the right decision, not telling them? Not involving them? It was too late to change course now. His journal still hung at his side, lifeless from the power of Chaos that surrounded them, but still a reminder of the "family" he still had, for which he fought. "But you know my views. I will not burden you with them any more. Either way, this battle will be fought, I am simply reminding you why I am fighting." Alexis, Dyric, De'kra, the movement of his eyes matching the movement of his concern. "That is not why I am speaking up however." "Many of you know that I paid a terrible price for my encounter with the Spire at Guffington Manor. I will now, however, reveal my second encounter...with the Lady herself." "She offered me clarity...and in return, I gave my word to deliver some messages for her. Now, perhaps, is not the intended moment of delivery, but given the very real possibility--no, likelihood--of my death, I am sure she will forgive me for passing on her words a little early." "The first is to Passion, who is not among us. I trust you will pass these words on to him if I cannot. 'To Passion, should he survive somehow, tell him I'm sorry for Bal and Triad. They fed him well, and more importantly, we both loved them. Vonnetate will be punished for Triad's death. Tell him I'm sorry about Sasha too.'" "The second is to the Wren Hunters: 'To McColt, Hans, Felton, Mallelio, and even little Poletad, I'd like to say thank you.' That's it. One message, two words." "The third and final message is to the Heroes. 'Now, on to my message to the heroes, yourself included. I want to say thank you to all of you. I don't care what your beliefs are. Cronk with his quiet black and white morality, Nyx with her dear true passion for fire, Skrall with his poor lost soul- I love you all. I really do. I think the world is beautiful because of Chaos, and you are all Chaotic. I know some of them will take that as a slight. I know they will. But I do not mean it that way. They are all so unique, each and everyone. And tell them I hope that there's no hard feelings over trying to kill them, and vice versa. It really wouldn't have been as beautiful if we had all played nice. Tell Nyx that XX got that part right. Oh, and wish them luck. All of them. No matter what happens to me, be I goddess or not, I hope you all find something you find so beautiful, you wish you could experience it forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever.' She also had this advice for all: 'When you want something, you seize it.'" "And that is my final message to you. Whatever may come, no matter how some have treated me, we are all Heroes. I hope that all of you may recognize the truths of the world, so that you may transform it for the better. Dyric, my brother in spirit, has already done this, even if he does not subscribe to the philosophy of Chaos. Alexis has, too, as have Haldor and Skrall. This is good. We must all find our own path, our own beacons in the Gray, but those beacons cannot light unless one sees the truth of the Gray for what it is. I have found my path. It is the deepest desire of my heart that all of you may find yours. Be assured that if I pass on to the next world, I will extend my guidance and blessing over you all." "So: Farewell, my allies. In death, which is likely, or in victory, which is likely, our lives and our world will be forever changed. May we continue well."

Oh, I've seen all of those. I thought all of them were on the Club DVD?- 4,591 replies

Huh. I'm normally re-typing everything anyway, since in most cases Cronk adjust the battle order, which makes copy-pasting of the old one more trouble than it's worth. I suppose if the B.O. stays the same, then a copy-paste of the battle result column (just changing the rolls) would be easier, but otherwise I'd find it easier just to quote the party leader's B.O. and then add the actions to it.

If there's one thing I've learned from the Battle Summaries and helping Endgame out is that just saying "I repeat" or some variation of that is a f*cking pain in the @ss for the QM. It makes you have to scroll up and down far more than you should have to, and is generally just a huge pain. I'll do it if I'm really in a hurry, but I prefer to make that extra effort on my end because it saves the QM SO much headache.

"The same goes for me. My battle action is in your hands. Note that I'll be dealing Jinxed this Round, though, so if I heal someone they'll end up Jinxed. I'm not saying we can't use that (heck, look what it did in Ennon), but it's something to keep in mind. Might be a good way to keep Gnash safe in the final fight, allow me to Jinx him and then let you bash the heck out of him with my Healing Staff."

Is late in updating his status. :P

"Lady Nyx, can you attack physically with your book from the Front Row this Round? It would increase the odds to summon Edgar." Following his own advice, Arthur physically attacks the Chaos Beast of Death from the Front Row with Sir Roderick's Sword. I happen to know that Stirlance is a rival of Wigglepike, at least in regards of whose writings are more popular. EDIT: Or to be precise, Wigglepike considers Stirlance a rival; I have no idea whether Stirlance feels the same way, or if Stirlance is even still alive.

Is trying to hint to Dannylonglegs that his forum signature still lists his Heroica character as a Level 12.5 Cleric when in reality the character is a Level 21 Druid. XD
-
Of the three items I see there, Kintobor, I like the Handy Suitcase the best. I would add to this the flip side: there is nothing wrong with enemy Specials that simply cause Effects. Not every enemy has to be the new Chaos Beast, despite how fun they are to fight. I think it's also a good idea for some a fair portion of enemies to deal elemental damage rather than non-elemental damage, just to make elemental immunity more worth the cost. Sandy's already ramped up this sort of enemy in his own Quests, but I think we all ought to take it even further.
-
Still thinks Dannylonglegs needs to update his actual forum signature. :P

"Healers should really heal now, and Alexis can perform her attack to keep the Beast of Life from healing, but EVERYONE else should take the Beast of Death." Arthur casts Light through Sir Roderick's Sword at the Chaos Beast of Death from the Back Row. Also, Nyx should be listed as Encouraged.
-
Arthur is Lucky now, I should have gotten four rolls. That may affect other Heroes' rolls (particularly Skrall's Special Damage), so I'll refrain from submitting an action.
-
You saw nothing. Interesting...I had gotten the impression during 52 that Guts was holding back with Maurice for some reason, only refraining from starting an argument because the situation was so dire. I'm not quite sure what gave me that impression, it just seemed like a vague underlying thing.
-
Yeah, you, Scorpiox, and...hmm...let's say Rumble Strike or Etzel would do well on a Sandy Quest, though perhaps not quite as sickeningly overactive. Or maybe you, Scorpiox, Rumble, and Sandy on an Etzel Quest? On second thought, though, I'm not quite sure about the party dynamics there. Tarn and Ellaria have past interactions, and I think Ellaria and Haldor do, too, but I'm not sure how well Guts would mix with Ellaria or Maurice, or even with Tarn and Haldor, for that matter. I don't know, at times I love Guts' characterization and at times it's a right pain in the rear trying to think up good ways of interaction that won't end in him just saying "well I can beat all of you up at once, so I'm right. So there." One day, perhaps...we'll have to see a crack in his facade at some point!
-
It also helps if you're super active AND have super-active party members/QMs. Pretty much any combination of Pie/me/WBD/Zepher/Doc/Endgame as players and QM would level rediculously fast, since we all spend somewhere in the realm of 147% of our time here. Even when it's almost 1am in the morning and we really ought to be sleeping. EDIT: Oh, and congrats to PsyKater on reaching Count! EDIT 2: Actually, now I really want to see Atramor, Sorrow, and Arthur together on a Brickdoctor Quest, we'd probably crank out 20 pages in the first hour alone.

Was looking for songs for...stuff... ( ) ...when I rediscovered this song. I think it sums up Nyx/XX perfectly:
