  1. Heh. I see your new title and raise you a profile message. :P

  2. Arthur nods and uses his Healing Staff on Hoke if he has 25 Health or less, otherwise he uses it on the party member with the lowest health.
  3. "Oh, and someone give Haldor an Ether Core or a Grand Tonic or something, we need his Scroll capabilities." Oh...I see. When you said it was the final fight, I figured you just had a cutscene for the finale. "On second thought, let's not waste our consumables. Haldor still needs an Ether Core if he wants to cast anything, though." "Emperor Phil, I do think it would be a good idea to give Lady Nyx or Sir Hoke a Mead. Sir Cronk, please put me at some point after Sir Hoke and Lady Nyx, so that I may heal their wounds if you and Sir Poletad fail." Arthur readies his healing staff to heal Hoke or Nyx, whichever has the least amount of remaining health.
  4. Wait, why are we not using consumbales? Cronk can't stand them, but it should be fine for everyone else...and this IS the final fight... "Hey, Alexis, honey, mind giving Hoke a Nostrum? Skrall, could you give yours to Lady Nyx? Hel, I wouldn't say no to a Nostrum, either. Next Round we can move to Meads, and after that Smelling Salts."
  5. A twist in the tale! Zeph, I hope you have both of these two lined up for the next XX Quest.
  6. I think 52 took place over the course of the same day.
  7. That's normally how I think of things, too, but Zeph has explicitly stated that this entire Quest happens over the course of one night (Grogmas) and that timeskip will be involved, and I've already planned certain events based on that concept, so... "Timeskip" basically means that there is some amount of "offscreen" time in between the end of the Quest and the Heroes' return to the Hall.
  8. Actually, according to Zepher, all this happened back in December, or what would be early January for those in the Hall (to accommodate the last time De'kra got a message from Arthur, I stopped that when I realized I was time-locking the Hall to Q53, which would screw up certain things), and there will be a timeskip between the end of 53 and the Heroes returning to the Hall. So in actuality, we snuck through almost two months ago, so the people there now shouldn't notice.
  9. Come on, guys, this isn't THAT hard of a fight. (Yet.) The floor doesn't get Free Hits, and the drainage only takes 2 HP and Ether per Round. That's what, 6 HP and Ether before the Scarf activates? Once that happens, Cronk will be summoning his Guardian Angel in no time. Of course, Atramor COULD run his plan, but then he'd be facing whatever appears AFTER we beat the floor all alone...
  10. "The solution is simple. Haldor casts Luck on Cronk until Cronk is Lucky, and then we all hit each other with Healing Staves until my Scarf activates, at which point Sir Cronk and everyone who has a Healing Staff strikes the Jinxed Hero. Once Sir Cronk summons his Guardian Angel, Lady Nyx drops the bomb, and in the meantime Hoke will be healing us with his Spellspins, as long as he uses his Healing Staff like I've asked. Speaking of which, Hoke is a bad, bad choice of someone to have Jinxed, how about Thothwick? It'd give him better odds to Hide." Arthur strikes Thothwick with his Healing Staff. "Unfortunately, Lady Nyx, I am fairly certain that even spells will cause Counterstrike damage."
  11. Nono, I meant your comment in 57. Sorrow didn't go through the woods in front of Dini Manor, and I don't seem to recall any sort of labyrinth in Quest 52.
  12. Endgame, I think you have Quest 52 confused with Quest 48 in your mind.
  13. "..." OOC: Arthur's facial expression: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kI7HHYN3ywo
  14. "Unfortunately, the floor is immune to all effects."
  15. OOC: Hey! You're right! Gimme experience! "Sweetie, that'd be a waste of bombs, unfortunately, the floor has rediculous SP. Although it IS a floor." "McColt, please try to Encourage Sir Cronk, and then Hoke after Cronk's Encouraged, and then Thothwick if we're still going." "Does anyone else have a strange feeling of gratitude that we are fighting a floor instead of a gazebo?"
  16. Arthur shrugs. "We could mock fight with Healing Staves, if you'd like. Heck, if you don't mind being the one who's Jinxed at Round 3, you could attack the floor physically from the Back Row while I continuously bash you with my Healing Staff to heal you from the one point of damage you'll get from Counterstrikes. In fact, Thothwick could join us as well, he can heal himself with his banana saber every third Round or so and be in good shape, long as he's fighting from the Back Row." Arthur changes targets to Hoke, bashing him with the Healing Staff from the Back Row. "Haldor, could you cast Lucky on Cronk?"
  17. "So ask McColt to improve your Luck." Just realized this isn't possible...dang it! "Stay ready, though, everyone. This is too simple. I fully expect us to break through that floor, and for Wren's summon to burst through it."
  18. Is the floor immune to Armor Sundering?
  19. "Sure, that seems fair. Hold onto it for the moment, though, we can complete the trade once we're done breaking through." Arthur glances toward the floor, far above. He wished that De'kra could be with him, but he knew the Shade would be safer with the other Heroes. "Be safe, brother..." he murmurs. Seeing Cronk aim at the floor, Arthur interrupts. "If we just wait two Rounds, I can smack someone of our choice with my Healing Staff, making them jinxed, and then Sir Cronk, once Lucky, will have a great chance of summoning his Angel, if someone will lend him a Healing Staff of his own. In fact, there's no reason I shouldn't start now...hey, Alexis, want to play a little 'game'?" With a mischevious, seductive look in his eyes, Arthur hits Alexis with his Healing Staff. Had he been taking a peek through her book?
  20. I was looking forward to getting in some good activity before tech week. Ah, well. I can spend the weekend poking Doc, then. Ah, well. I can spend the weekend poking Doc, then.
  21. Arthur, too, searches the Shrine using his Magnifying Glass. When he finds the Door, he stares into it, looking for any clue he can glean from it as to Wren's current actions.
  22. Arthur's face had gone white as Zee's. For a moment, he thought he had seen...no. An illusion. A last futile trick of the dead. But then what had he seen in her eyes...? "Lady Nyx felled the necromancer, she should take the Standard. You ought to hold the Incense, as you are most like to stand to carry it. As to the rest, I am satisfied with my take from the battle, I need none of the rest."
  23. I still don't get why they're such a problem, you've had more issues this Quest with elements and gold gains than you seem to have had from all Healing Staff uses in all your Quests combined. But sure, pinky promise for later Quests...just don't tempt us to use them with batticular insanity.
  24. Arthur repeats.
  25. Mages already have to deal with far greater Ether shortages than Clerics, and you think it should be made worse? Having it as a weapon also lets the healing scale with level, whereas a set amount of healing won't be NEARLY as helpful--and keep in mind, most mages these days HAVE to be at absolute max health if they don't want to be OHKO'd by Damage rolls. I say let sleeping dogs lie; it's a rare item that's a boon to those who have them. Consider it a "loyalty bonus" for playing back when they were available; those of us who saved up to obtain them (and mind you, for some of us that took a lot of effort) shouldn't be punished for making a good character optimization choice. EDIT: Not to mention Scrolls aren't affected by Lucky. No, turning the Healing Staff into a Scroll would be a MAJOR problem, I absolutely cannot support that proposal.
