  1. Though granted, it takes me about five minutes just to load the damn thing...not to mention moving/adding pieces... Am I possibly overdoing it?
  2. Not to mention one of my sets for my Quest covers an area of more than 150x64 and is at least 15 bricks high, and it's only about halfway done at the moment.
  3. Well, then, let me at least give you background music:
  4. I have a dedicated rig now. Bring it on.
  5. Damn. I'm sad you didn't ask me to render him for you, though. I don't care if it takes my rig a month, I want that sucker in high-res!
  6. Assuming he doesn't get poisoned to death...you sure you want to protect that wereperson to the exclusion of all other targets, now? Also, is it just me or is the Provost somehow related to the Bonapartes? Why would he hate Vincent Legonardo?
  7. "I can't stand the Houses. But it's better than anarchy...and I can't see how the Wolfgang are any better. What do they even stand for, anyway? Aside from gang violence and nonspecific political dissent, that is."
  8. See, but that's exactly the sort of thing that's impossible to keep quiet. Actions have consequences, and one of those consequences is that they eventually become known. The more dramatic the action, the faster it becomes known, and the harder it becomes to keep secret. Rumors are everywhere (you've heard of tabloids, right? ), it's just a matter of knowing which ones are true. Arthur's just better than most at piecing together all the information to find the truth. It goes both ways, though. I assume everyone knows about Arthur's sins, after all, whether or not he actually tells them his side of the story. Now, I admit I went too far with it in 38. But I prefer to play fast and loose with "what Arthur knows", and I err on the side of knowing unless it's specifically more interesting for him not to know. And keep in mind, he's generally not just spitting out all the info just for the sake of it, most of the time it's just informing his opinions and shaping his reactions to present events.
  9. You've never tried to keep a secret in a theatre department, have you? I stand by my claim that Byblos knows a LOT about what goes on in Quests. Not everything, mind you, but a LOT more than the vague summaries you're describing.
  10. Yeah, the Golden Dragon seems like kind of a dick. He's probably most like Pie's interpretation.
  11. I like Apollo Justice better. Yeah, I know it's a real technique. The way it was worded just made me think of AJ's Percieve ability.
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chYSAUN0A6A Apollo Justice much? The funny thing is, I'm actually working out ways that this could (possibly) be a mechanic in a future Quest of mine (I've already worked out use of the Magatama, and it may have a cameo appearance in this Quest depending on player actions and further Quest revisions as I streamline the process). EDIT: Shoot, thought that would merge. Sorry.
  13. Arthur busies himself by trying to identify as many people, animals, or other beings passing by the East end of the alley. He also checks his Magic Compass for Steerpike's location again.
  14. Fair enough, but Arthur DOES know why Quest 33 failed...how you ask? Pillow talk.
  15. Yes. He knows the Sand Queen.
  16. To be fair, Arthur is buddies with Byblos, and it is in-character for him to pry into those things.
  17. Tome of the Sharkling Robber-Baron: User automatically casts the Hexed-effect on Flipz as long as the user has Scrolls that he does not already have.
  18. They're already making a fortune buying Artifacts to sell to me. Don't make things worse. OK, Arthur's current (lack of) knowledge of Strivvi may be a retcon (I don't recall what I've said before, nor what the Heroes from that Quest may have told him), but since I didn't know before that Strivvi was supposed to be a closely-guarded secret, I'm calling this his new canon knowledge on the subject.
  19. "And to be fair, you can't fault him or any of the Watch for distrusting us. I mean, three of the past four missions they've sent us on have ended in failure--and on two of them, if rumor is to be believed, the Heroes sold out to the Wolfgang. Not exactly inspiring stuff." And as to that third failure... Arthur didn't know much about the mysterious mission to Strivvi, but between the irritatingly incomplete Quest record, the record of those Heroes' previous Quest for the Watch, and what little talk there was about the subject around the Barracks, he surmised that it had ended in disaster...and apparently, it was once again the fault of the Heroes, though no one would say why. He hadn't been able to glean more than that, but if they had followed the previous pattern... "Why do you think the other Heroes keep siding with the Wolfgang? D'you think they have some sort of...power...on their side? Or are our brethren really that weak-willed? Or unprincipled?"
  20. I seem to recall that either Njago is near to Terra Chima, or else that a lot of Terra Chima residents migrated to Njago, helping to found the land. It's also not hard to imagine that whatever makes werepeople werepeople originated in Terra Chima and then used the forms of the native wildlife as it spread.
  21. Ooh, sounds awesome! I know I mentioned something about "small tasks all around Uland", glad to hear something like that is nearing fruition!
  22. I definitely like that Miss roll, but the rest of it seems a little lacking. Good to see you back, though!
  23. That is indeed correct. I asked Sandy if it would be all right, and he gave me the all-clear. I'm glad I did, it's definitely been the right choice for Arthur's development.
  24. So, the drugs from Q34?
  25. In our current post-modern era, authorial intent has been usurped as a valid means of dramatic criti-*slaps self* Sorry about that. Was trying to see if the megablocks we're taught in college has any relevancy whatsoever. It doesn't. In all seriousness, we can have a debate on the validity (or lack thereof) of "authorial intent", but I feel it has somewhat more weight here than it might in other forms of art, possibly owing to the fact that we can literally ask the author their intent. I've accepted the sad truth that Sandy's Byblos, Endgame's Progg 0, and Pie's next outing will all likely take place at the same time, even though I want to go on all of them.
