    For me, I'd still want LEGO just for LEGO, but it would help remove the "parts ceiling" that I've experienced in trying to build MOCs as part of the AFOL community. You see, most of the MOCs I see here and on Flickr are MASSIVE, and require HUGE supplies of many different parts, supplies that I don't yet have the funding to amass. Thus, I find myself resigned to minifig design, small diorama builds that don't really merit their own topic, and virtual LDD builds. With 3D printing, however, I could print out backdrops and support structures compatible with LEGO, and then use my own collection to add a façade and details--sort of like how I used the Aqua Raiders baseplates and DUPLO bricks as a kid to help me build larger buildings when I knew I wouldn't have enough regular brick. Likewise, if I had the parts to build a section of wall but not the full length, I could scan what I built, and then duplicate it in cheap "throwaway" plastic to extend the length so I could get the photo I want, and then throw away the excess when I'm done.

    As the above poster noted, this is basically the story of Data and Lore from Star Trek: The Next Generation. I, however, think this wouldn't be so bad; Zane DOES, after all, follow many of the same tropes as Data, and I'm certain there have been a few Shout Outs to Data via dialogue. The Lore counterpart will likely outmatch Young!Evil!Lloyd in terms of annoying-ness*, but there are plenty of good aspects to that storyline as well, so I wouldn't mind seeing a new take on it--provided it's new ENOUGH to make it distinct from the original. *because Lore himself was obnoxious in the extreme, and given Young!Evil!Lloyd as a baseline any counterpart could only be worse.

    I honestly have Drake on my forum "ignore" list. If he tries to interact with Arthur, canonically it doesn't actually happen, and I'll just ignore anything he tries to do. He's shown zero respect for other players' roleplaying at all, so in my book his character doesn't exist. Just for the record, it takes a lot to make me do that to someone. A lot.

    Surprisingly, no. I have a set goal of Gold that I need to pay debts and make deals, and anything after that is bonus. That said, all other things being equal, if I can arrage things so I have more chances to earn Gold, I'll go with that. (You may have noticed that I was consistently putting Sorrow after me in the Battle Orders--that was because 1. we could easily take the Free Hits, and 2. because I wanted a shot at Magnetic Mojo-ing them before Sorrow assassinated them EVERY SINGLE TIME. ) Really, though, Sorrow has been epic this Quest, he really managed to nail pretty much everything he hit for instant kills, and even when he didn't Assassinate, it still hurt.

    Well, yes, but it's better for you this way. Besides, you aren't even supposed to attack at all unless it's absolutely necessary, given...stuff. I'll shut up now.

"I really need to upgrade this thing..." "Agreed. Should I focus on dealing more damage, or should I use the staff to recover Ether so I can cast more scroll spells? And does anyone want their weapon Deadly Poisoned?"

Arthur exchanges a glance with Thothwick, and smiles hopefully. Arthur leans in to whisper to Boomingham, but to his surprise the Paladin was still wrestling with the Cosmosaur. He leans over to the Paladin's angel instead. "Excuse me, please tell Lord Boomingham that NEXT Round Nagure should go first, and his second attack should be from the Back Row. That way he can absorb most of the Chaosaur's hits, leaving me free to Blind and Seal the Cosmosaur this Round so that NEXT Round the other Heroes can join us in pummeling it. Please be sure to emphasize the NEXT Round part, we don't want to send the weaker Heroes to an early grave." Switching Scrolls again, Arthur casts Blindness and Sealing against the Cosmosaur, hoping desperately he'd be successful. However, when he sees Lady Nyx cradle her shoulder in pain, he turns to her without hesitation. "Lady Nyx, allow me."
