You know why the palm tree escape worked? Because for that sequence, Barbossa was the main character. We saw things mostly from his perspective, freeing Jack to go off and do wacky things and we didn't know what exactly he was up to. Even if you barely changed the actual plot points of On Stranger Tides, the movie would be better by at least half if it had been presented primarily from Barbossa's perspective (switching to Jack for brief moments at pertinent times--basically whenever Barbossa learned about what Jack was doing/whenever he faces some specific obstacle that Jack had already faced). Furthermore, we would have gotten some actual character development out of Barbossa AND Gibbs, which would have been a heck of a lot more interesting than the flat characters in Blackbeard's crew. They killed off pretty much all of the still-living named characters from 1, 2, and 3 who were part of the British Navy in OST--check the wiki pages and IMDB. What's so stupid is that these characters almost universally died as mere redshirts, without even getting a single re-establishing moment.

If Gore Verbinski's directing and Zepher's writing, I'm game. Or better yet, Gore Verbinski and Jon Favreau co-directing!

Arthur cannot understand the dwarf's speech, but he can tell that the dwarf had fouled up their mission somehow. "Lady Nerwen, I believe a translation would be in order." Arthur grabs Throlar by the collar of his shirt of mail and drags the Knight to him as he bends over, forcing the dwarf to look him in the eye. "I do not know what your game is, dwarf, but if you've sabotaged us or our mission in any way, I will personally see to it that you pay for it," he hisses. "Permanently." He releases the dwarf roughly, then turns his head over his shoulder and spits one final insult at the retreating figure's back: "Aucë!"

I'm in the very basic stages of a Quest that deals with Dastan. Assuming I can find help with building, it should be ready shortly after my Quest in the Cathedral of Commerce finishes. I do have to emphasize that I'm completely limited by building constraints. I'm not a good builder, and I have an extremely limited selection of bricks--even with Digital Designer, I'm not very good. My strength is in story--I'm pretty much reliant on others' help when it comes to builds.

Damn, I had work this morning. Time to go see if I'm dead...

I can't finish mine until 77 is over, either. Hopefully the NPCs will decide to work together so we can barrel through the other factions and finish in time for you to start your Quest.

I'm still stalled on mine--sets are a real limiting factor for me.

That soft grouping would have completely revolutionized LU. Glad to see they're learning! Here's hoping they also learned their lesson about lack of transparency, and about letting internal politics affect the user experience. Really, the art style reminds me a lot of LU in some ways--but I want to know what they're doing with story. Story was one of the things they got right with LU--I'd hate to see that go.
