For right now, I'd recommend pairing with Hybros, with him de-equiping the Baron's Epaulettes for the moment. You'd become Hastened, Lucky, and immune to damn near everything.

Witches do gain Gold on Mass Illusion now, though it requires the Hexing to succeed (it's a 50% chance) for the Gold to be earned (unlike an Assassin's Gold Reaper which earns Gold even if the gold-carrying enemy is Immune to Instant Kill).

Step 1: Convince Masked to sell Erdathcath her Quickdraw Quiver. Step 2: Have Erdy equip her Satchel of Awesomeness (bodywear), Quickdraw Quiver (backwear), and the Soul Link Chain (Accessory). Step 3: Profit. (There's no ??? in there because the combo is instant profit, no ??? required. )

EDIT: Never mind, misread "July" as "June".

Not type-based ones (i.e. Darkness versus Dark-type enemies), but extra ones slapped on, I suppose so. Of course, most enemies have those as permanent effects via passive Specials anyway, but still. (Also, I just had the most horrifying thought: imagine an Undead/Ethereal enemy with Violetta's Artifact-stealing special stealing a Duploivian Helmet of the Guard. )

Heroica RPG - Quest #99: Six Thousand Feet Under
Flipz replied to Endgame's topic in The Heroica Archive
OOC: That's exactly how it works, and how it's always worked. It follows Hollow Blade rules, and those allow the bonus action to take place before or after the main attack (i.e. drinking a Nostrum from a Hollow Blade immediately before attacking). "Claire, heal me. I'll make it easier on you--if you summon Roots, be sure to raise Lynne, too. Minoid, take Dodekka, still with your drill arm, still Back Row. Grimwald, go ahead and Healing Staff Pont, but only if you're already healed by Erdy--I mean Claire's--Roots." Arthur retrieves his weapon, then swings his Sword of the Vampir at Dodekka from the Back Row. Battle Order: suggestions in gray >Minoid (Minoid Drill Arm) VS Dodekka (back): >Arthur retrieves Zoot's Rebel (back) >Arthur (Sword of the Vampir) VS Dodekka (back): >Claire heals Arthur (back): >Grimwald IF healed, (Healing Staff) VS Dodekka (back): , otherwise does nothing EDIT: OOC: Found a link to Q70 where you were running it my way. Also, in light of making things easier on you, the Battle Order now includes an action summary. -
At first my gut agreed with you, but then I considered that we do, in fact have consumables that grant temporary elemental immunities (Fireball Whiskey, for example), and I feel that not counting those would go against the spirit of the artifact. Besides, by that definition Lucky, Hastened, and Encouraged aren't effects either--we'll keep that in mind next time you want to use a Neutralizer on a Zepher boss. Getting back to the topic at hand, I'd argue that the Soul Link Chain only works for temporary effects--ones that wear off at the end of battle.

No, it was a real-world event done to promote the game; seven LEGO-related locations we were chosen, and the first person there who spoke to the official won the prize--thus, why I have a unique real minifig face for my character.

OOC: Should be no problem with the Scroll action taking place before or after, so long as one is a scroll action and they're directly adjacent. Also, Overkill from Claire, and if she rolls Roots she'll include Lynne in them. "Claire, heal Minoid. Minoid, Dodekka, Back Row with that Drill Arm of yours. Cliff, Frail Dodekka for us please, then heal yourself." Arthur launches more plasm, this time at Dodekka, still from the Back Row; if successful, he retrieves, otherwise he repeats. Yep, an exclusive, one-time-only LEGO promo.

Also, typo on Ve'er.

EDIT: Ninja'd...upon closer inspection, I prefer the black text, but as I said a white "glow" effect (similar to the second sample shown here would be awesome.

The reality is, though, the blank spaces are definitely getting filled in on the map. There's still new things out here to find, but the new style reflects the development--both in game and in the playerbase--that we're more familiar with this world than we used to be. And realistically speaking, Uland is a small island that has been populated for hundreds of years--it really should be almost completely explored. I'd definitely say fix the test--a simple "mask" or "glow" effect should do the trick. Also consider submitting the map in-character--it could make for a great roleplaying moment.

OOC: If Lynne goes down this Round, will Trian's Jinxing stick? "Grimwald, Sleep Dodekka and then use that Healing Staff against Pont, Back Row. Claire, it's you and me versus Lynne--do try to raise her if I manage to take her down, would you? If she's down, take on Trian. Minoid, I need you to use that Grand Potion on me, pronto." Arthur concentrates to draw plasm back to him (retrieve Zoot's Rebel) and then throws it at Lynne from the Back Row again. Battle Order: Arthur Minoid Grimwald Arthur Erdathcath -

OOC: Forgot that the bow makes Minoid Hastened this Round. Stick his second attack after my attack; if Lynne's down, have him take Trian with said attack. Same goes for Erdy if Lynne is down. Also, if Lynne is down (and ONLY if she's down), include her in Erdy's SHIELD roll. -
Agent Zed from Alpha Team (the Arctic-themed year). That's the one theme-year that I own all the sets for, so I know it well.

Question about the Unlimited Quest and Necromancers: if the Heroes choose the Overdose or Apocalypse challenge and raise some of the defeated enemies as undead, the raised undead will still have the Overdose/Apocalypse-induced level, right?

C'mon, it's not a Devil Program Quest without at least one fight being completely destroyed.

Arthur frowns. "New strategy: Grimwald, focus both actions on Frail-ing Lynne, and if she's successfully Frailed then Sleep Dodekka. Claire, I need you to use your handcannon on Lynne from the Back Row--Minoid, go ahead and use your Quick Bow on Lynne." Battle Order: Arthur Grimwald Minoid Arthur Erdathcath OOC: Correct me if I'm wrong, the Free Hits should go: Dodekka + Pont vs. Arthur (60+30=90/2=45-SP:20=25 damage) Trian (healing) vs. Grimwald Lynne vs. Minoid (42/2=21-SP:2=19 damage) Is that correct? -
Oh, nothing, just breaking your entire battle. Just for the record, you do realize we have the capability for that that we can turn on and off at will, right? I don't have to worry about anyone else using Arthur's face--I own one of exactly two copies of that print, and the other one exists only in the LEGO archives. I have lots of fond memories of when Endgame and Kinto suddenly decided/realized their characters were related to Violetta and each other.

OOC: The "Healing" effect of the Healing Staff is a passive trait, which Trian has now copied, which means that Trian will now heal us on rolls of Damage and Free Hits. Also, Jinxed doesn't have a timer unless an enemy Special gives it one--it's just like Lucky that way. In other news: Zoot's Rebel is now mechanically a halberd, as per Sandy's ruling. Flavor-wise, he'll just regenerate the lost essence rather than physically retrieving it when he throws, but of course mechanically it's still a retrieval action. "Great job, now for Dodekka! Minoid, with me on Lynne. Cliff--Grimwald--keep trying to hit Pont, I'll refill your Ether reserves. Go ahead and Frail Lynne for us if you can." Arthur takes a moment to dump his last Grand Tonic on Cliff/Grimwald from the Back Row before he begins to hover above the ground and launch bolts of his own essence (Zoot's Rebel) at Lynne from the Back Row. OOC: Just an IC way of saying the plan had changed. I'll be taking D's Free Hit, just have Claire take Trian. Yes, Healing Staff takes damage from Damage and Special Damage. -
I actually prefer the brighter green arms and the focus on the staff as the held weapon - they all share that light green accent colour you have on the torso print itself. I also stand by my earlier suggestion that Ellaria should be holding the spider helmet in her other hand. That said, I like the new legs, and at the very least taking the helmet off her head makes her look a lot more sane. (I'd be interested in seeing her with the hair style from the first pic but without the helmet- that at least would help the update "feel" different from her current garb.
