Current Sign-Ups for Quest #104 Warlen Melimane, Level 1 Mage Siercon, Level 6 Mage QM Note: These are intended as sign-ups, yes? Please bold your sign-up just so it's clearer for me.

Eh, it's fair. You're one of the few Rogue classes that gets actual damage on your AoE, plus you output an insane amount of damage compared to most Rogue ACs (Sorcerer is the only one that really comes close, and the Confusion they get off of their Steal rolls is offset by Ether cost).

Heroica RPG - Quest #99: Six Thousand Feet Under

Arthur looks to his Gnommish companion with concern. "Fight it, Grimwald...now's not the time to lose focus, not when we're so close..." ...to escaping and curing both of you...! -
Depends on if Noctus is actually pleased with your work, but yes, Shadeaux reputation is available in Quest 104.

Thanks for all the love. I'm really pleased with what I've come up with, I hope my players enjoy playing it as much as I've enjoyed coming up with it. In other news: Russel Ruffers is adorable.

Neat race, Daeth, it'll be interesting to explore for sure. Also as a reminder in case you missed it, your character's weapon has to be a hammer, mace, broomstick, or staff (since that's what Clerics can wield), and he should also start with a Potion.

True, but I'd say activity and commitment to the game are pretty important deciding factors amongst all QMs--no one wants a party leader who goes missing for a week in the middle of a Quest.

Check the Quest board within the next 24 hours or so. How about a journey with a Veteran to the homeland of Dragons?

Heroica RPG - Quest #99: Six Thousand Feet Under

Arthur retrieves Zoot's Rebel and then throws it at Trian from the Back Row unless Battle Frenzy has been rolled, in which case he does nothing. Minoid fires the Quick Bow at Trian from the Back Row unless Battle Frenzy has been rolled, in which case it fires the bow at Pont from the Back Row. "Grimwald, care to Frail Trian? If you're successful, go ahead and Poison Claire's handcannon." Battle Order: >Grimwald uses Scroll of Frailty on Trian (back): >Grimwald uses Scroll of Frailty on Trian (back): OR >Grimwald uses Scroll of Poisoning on Tritech Handcannon (back): >Claire (Tritech Handcannon) VS Trian (back): >Arthur retrieves Zoot's Rebel >Arthur (Zoot's Rebel) VS Trian (back): OR >Arthur does nothing (back): >Minoid (Quick Bow) VS Trian (back): OR >Minoid (Quick Bow) VS Pont (back): -
It's happening! It's finally happening! *giddy*

Alexis is technically Orc - kin now, is she not?

I miss that old design for Cinna; it's always been one of my favorite character designs in Heroica.

Bound was a lot more threatening back in the early days when everyone was playing Knights and Barbarians and fighting in the Front Row. Nowadays with so many ranged fighters and everyone else cowering in the Back Row thanks to super high enemy Levels, it doesn't carry the same weight.
-
Yes. All of the yes. This should be a thing. Also, this reminds me, I needed to send that thing to Sandy about the stuff.

I agree, and I'd definitely like to see the others stack as well. Although, that's a good point about Blessed--how would it stack normally? Drinking additional Somas? I definitely would not agree with permanent artifacts stacking Blessed on their own--it doesn't make sense. Poisons stack from multiple hits--I could understand Blessed from multiple Artifacts stacking (so using Ennoc's Blessing with a Light-elemental Divine Cannonade would grant Blessed-by-6), but not the item alone creating "Blessed by 3" on turn 1 and "Blessed by 6" on turn 2. But anyway, for Bleeding and Cursed and Burning and the like, I'd definitely say yes.

Welcome Daeth! It's been a while since we've gotten a new Cleric (I think Grimwald may have been the most recent one), and they certainly make low-Level Quests easier to balance for. Interesting race idea, too.

Heroica RPG - Quest #99: Six Thousand Feet Under

OOC: Battle Frenzy still takes row into effect, yes? "All right, we're in a holding pattern now. Claire, Healing Staff me until we get everyone raised up--including Lynne. Grimwald, Healing Staff yourself. If you've been healed already, turn that Healing Staff against Pont. I'll Remedy you next Round, assuming Claire hasn't handled it already." Arthur swings his Sword of the Vampir at Trian from the Front Row. He then uses a Remedy on Erdathcath unless she's already free of negative effects, in which case he retrieves Zoot's Rebel. Battle Order: and summary of suggested actions >Arthur (Sword of the Vampir) VS Trian (front): >Claire (Healing Staff) VS Arthur (back): >Arthur uses Remedy on Claire (back): >Grimwald (Healing Staff) VS self (back): OR >Grimwald (Healing Staff) VS Pont (back): (if raised) >Minoid (Quick Bow) VS Pont (back): OOC: If Erdy fails to roll Roots this Round, could we please autoroll with the following actions? Autoroll B.O. and actions: IF Trian has not gotten off a Battle Frenzy: >Arthur (Sword of the Vampir) VS Trian (front): OTHERWISE: >Arthur (Sword of the Vampir) does nothing (back): IF Grimwald still Electrified: >Arthur uses Remedy on Grimwald (back): OTHERWISE IF Trian has not gotten off a Battle Frenzy: >Arthur (Sword of the Vampir) VS Trian (front): OTHERWISE: >Arthur (Sword of the Vampir) does nothing (back): >Claire (Healing Staff) VS Arthur (back): IF Grimwald has >20 HP: >Grimwald (Healing Staff) VS Pont (back): OTHERWISE: >Grimwald (Healing Staff) VS self (back): (if raised) >Minoid (Quick Bow) VS Pont (back): -

OOC: Hate to say this because it means it's likely Dodekka won't be dead, but...Erdathcath should have gotten 4 rolls, meaning she could have rolled a SHIELD, raising Minoid and Lynne. -
Heroica RPG - Quest #99: Six Thousand Feet Under

OOC: Should have clarified that I meant Healing Staff use from Claire. Oh, well. "Damn it. Claire, you want to bash stuff? Go to town on Dodekka. Grimwald, take Dodekka with your Knotted Broom. No Scroll, we're taking this slow." Arthur attacks Dodekka with the Sword of the Vampir from the Back Row, repeating if unsuccessful and throwing Zoot's Rebel if he is. Battle Order: Arthur Grimwald Arthur Erdathcath -
Solution: next Grogmas, Atramor gains the following: Mystical Boots of Extreme Witchery - Wearer gains Special Mirror instead of their normal Special Damage roll. Suitable for badass lockpicking companions of demonic chickens (Atramor only). Actually, speaking of Grogmas, maybe we can hybridize the two events we've had so far (i.e. items via suggestion so Sandy doesn't have such a workload, but keep the letter-writing and just have the original QMs handle that part), so we can keep the best aspects of both?

"Good point, go ahead and Weaken Dodekka if you can. Only attack with the Healing Staff from the Back Row IF you are healed and he is Weakened; otherwise, Weaken him or Armor Sunder him." Battle Order: suggestions in gray >Minoid (Minoid Drill Arm) VS Dodekka (back): >Arthur retrieves Zoot's Rebel (back) >Arthur (Sword of the Vampir) VS Dodekka (back): >Claire heals Arthur (back): >Grimwald Weakens Dodekka (back): >Grimwald (Healing Staff) VS Dodekka (back): OR >Grimwald Weakens Dodekka (back): OR >Grimwald Sunders Dodekka (back): "If I'm fortunate enough to land a hit, he'll be jinxed--we can all wail away at him freely once that happens." -
It's sad, it doesn't seem to be getting nearly as much action now that Karie's the only Witch in Heroica. That moment (turned argument) when she nearly instakilled Endgame's boss was the last moment I can recall in which it's had any major impact (or was it Atramor flying in Q75? I've been working out the in-game timeline so much I can't keep the real-world chronology straight anymore. ).

Decided to re-read 68 for the fun of it. That final battle was hilarious. Pure. Comedy. Gold.

Quest 38 is a good one, though it has a lot of backstory tied to it. 12, 16, and 18 are good ones if you're looking for true standalones. 27, 61, 65, and 68 are also fairly self-contained while still being easy to read. Have to say, though, even though it's super long, Quest 4 is probably the quintessential Quest to read in terms of what the overall feel of the world is like.

Speaking of the Embassy, we really could do with entries on Acerpusculum and Selkreeth.
