The Lord of the Wars gang Very funny challenge!

In every city you got a bunch of odd figures trying to achieve something in their life... Well, in Charlatan Bay, there is more than a bunch of odd figures, and some of them have teamed together to form the Lord of the Wars gang. Another option for the crew name was the Star Rings, but that sounded a bit gay... Don't they look odd? The gang was founded 4 years ago and... Sorry for the break, my assistent just told me that Charlatan Bay is recently founded and not more then 4 years old... My bad... So the gang was founded a while ago (this is better right?) and achieved a lot of fame for being a group of village idiots... - The leader, Maul "Darth" Lakeguard, is an excellent duel champion. Well, used to be... The amount of pleasure Charlatan Bay offers made him not so focussed anymore on developping his skillz. Still the smart-megablocks of the group... - Then you got the female swordfighter: Ley "Reygo" Regoras. Same story as Darth, once a champion, now a drankoholic. She earns money by winning drinking contests. Too bad she can't remember the next morning where the winning money went... - Here we got Obi "One" d'Aragorn, once an Oleon aristocrat who slept with the wrong daughter of the wrong other aristocrat. Used to be specialised in robbing rich people, but that's one of the few things Charlatan Bay lacks, so now he has to rob poor people... - Bill "Boy Baggin'" Jawa, the pickpocket of the group. A decent pickpocket with the Gilles de la Tourette syndrome. Which is too bad for the kid as every time he steals something, he yells "My precious" and is caught... Luckily jails is another thing Charlatan Bay lacks... - And over here the only normal guy of the group: Peter "The Shadow". A bounty hunter who loves hunting famous people. His trade mark is to fire first an arrow in the knee of his prey... Wait, that ain't Peter, damn you Reygo! Another try: ... Reygo again? I give up, you can see a glimp of Peter "The Shadow" in the group picture... - Hope you enjoyed my bunch of Star Wars meets Lord of the Rings mash-up figures :) Thanks for this fun challenge!!

So the weekend of November 12 and 13, Brickmania Antwerp took place in well erm Antwerp (Belgium). It is the biggest event in Belgium, so I always want to do something extra for this event. One year ago, I had the idea to organise a 100m² Pirate Lay-out. I started advertising over here and some people were interested joining my lay-out. Half a year ago, I woke up, realising my appartment was around 100m² in size. So in other words, I had to fill a lay-out the size of my appartment... Here is the participants list: I think this should be everyone... :D A lot of sleepless nights, panic attacks and brainstorming later, Brickmania Antwerp opened and people were delighted to see the following lay-out: Enjoy! One can build hundreds ships, but only a few of them will be as legendary as Margot :p even without a single battle, she has managed to be in all books and guidances :D in 500 years, Margot still will be famous as the ship who started it all :D

To my Eslandolan friends, don't listen to someone from another faction promoting corruption and a bad government :D I see what you are doing there KolonialBeamter :p how the regions choose their representative, that should be determined by the regions themself as it would mean a certain independency.

Wow, so much to read... Ok, small recap: 1 seat for every TC: yeeey certitude for every TC! 1 seat for an independent trader (no general vote, except if the independents can't choose): yeeey bribing! 1 seat for every region: yeeey intrigues as a TC can have a total of 4 seats with this rule, having the majority in the council! And ofcourse 1 PM which has to be elected every 6 months and who has to campaign. Moc's are not necessary but could help persuading people! I loved the Mitgardia Prime Ministers. I would not mind that even non-Eslandolans can vote as this would mean more intrigues :) IC it could make sense by saying it are the embassadors who vote...

What happens when some of the best builders in the world decide to build a fregate together? I asked myself this question 6 months ago as I wanted to do something original for the BELUG (Belgian Lego User Group) Clubday in September. Why not a workshop on "how to make a fregate"? As Belug has some legendary shipbuilders in it rangs (CGH, Sebeus, Bonaparte and maybe one day I may say myself), this should not be that difficult... Well, it is... As I had to order all parts from scratch (requested by Belug), it was a difficult task as every ship is different. It is nearly impossible to say in advance how many bricks you need and what type of bricks you need... Anyway, a succesfull clubday and a few additional meetings later (with the necessary food and beer), she was ready to be showed at Brickmania Antwerp. So here she is, the "Beluga": A class 5HA, sailing under the flag of MAESTRO --- Thanks a lot to everyone involved in this project! C&C welcome!

@Bregir Arm race? What arm race? Did I started it? Anyway, talking about "Margot", a small update: After my succesfull trip to Skaerbaek, I have rerigged her completely and rebuild the galleries. She has also 4 more guns now (59 to be exact). Pictures will arrive soon. I finished rerigging thursday and then when transporting the ship, a box felt on it. So this weekend I have rerigged her again... Now I have still have to do the sails and some minor stuff... I am planning to post the final result as a new ship, but then as an Indiaman (as I will remove half the cannons so she fits an Indiaman) with the possibility of heavy warship. If I am correct, this is allowed as the amount of guns has changed, there are modifications (also new figurehead etc) and the ships has been rerigged (twice in fact)?

Noted :) Good questions: 1) no, as this is only the case if the owner attacks sth belonging to MAESTRO. So if there is a war, the owner keeps its rights and revenues as long as he does not betray the city of Trador by attacking its owners. If he does so, he will lose the revenues from that point forward till the moment there is peace again between the owner and MAESTRO. Lost revenues are lost. 2) now the second case is much more interesting. As said, all ships are safe in Trador (as long as there is no agression between the owner ans MAESTRO). It also means that MAESTRO can not attack those ships as it will violate its own code then. The properties are owned by the owner as long as he does not sells that property and the rights it comes along with. Those properties will not be seized by Trador and can not be seized by Eslandola as it belongs to the city of Trador (in other words, an Eslandolan entity will licence it). If the owner is the agressor against MAESTRO, revenues will be lost for a certain period. If there would be a case where the owner is the victim, he still will enjoy the rights of his property (and the according harborrights) as he is not the agressor. It kinda sounds like a mess, but the bottom line is simple: there will be enough enemies to fight in the future. Our goal is to establish and maintain very durable relations with others and we have no intention to break those bonds and betray our tradepartners :) ooc: in games like CIV, total War, Imperial Glory, I never betray my alliances, and that's what I hope to do here in Bobs as well :) Noted!

Very interesting mini-challenge!

As it is kinda impossible to evaluate bonuses solely on the account sheet, would it not be a better solution that people can keep track of their licenced properties (already possible when filling your emailadress), and when receiving the list, you see also the monthly yields of those buildings?

Is it possible the data for the settlements is kinda screwed with? Trador has suddenly 125 db's and a 150 pip's, Weelonds is even doing better with 3,5K!

After the Inn opened, a logistic problem started as the wives of the sailors and smugglers started complaining about their husbands drinking too much. Other WAG's had way too much time as their husband was abroad for a nice game of soccer "shoot the enemy". A very popular game in the neighbouring Isla de Victoria. And as the WAG's started learning how to make their hands dirty while making new clothes for their beloved husbands, Lord Maximilian Damaximus had the brilliant idea to put some of those WAG's together in order to mass produce capes and hats... Bingo! The Shop: Not sure what this chicken is doing here... The first floor is where the magic happens. - One minor problem, the MCTC controlled the whole textile thingy in the New World... So, a joint-venture with MCTC started in Trador for exploiting the WAG's Textile Factory, the first ever and surely (hopefully) not the last!!! Here you see Lord Tomvaximus and a Weelond representative who just signed a contract @Capt Wolf - Oh, and to those who wonder how the daughter of the Three Flower Inn - barkeeper looks like, here she is: ---- Thanks for watching! Already a few months ago (it must have been August of the year), some intersting stories happened in the world of BoBS. Let me show you some: The not-that-mad-at-that-time King of Eslandola grants an apple Monopoly to MAESTRO @kabel - @Maxim I Since the beginning of MAESTRO, its members have focused on apples, apples and much more apples. Those precious green thingies were cultivated near the MAESTRO settlement of Elysabethtown and even the Tenotclaxans were learned the mysterious ways of how an apple orchard works. I am not going to start giving a list of why we earn it, those who doubt about it, feel free to look to most of the MOC's Faladrin, TitusV, Legostone, Captain Green Hair and myself made and you will see that the famous apple make a cameo in a lot of them. Felipe de la Manzana, the Godfather of the famous MAESTRO apples, has even the holy duty to find the famous golden apple. MAESTRO officials have frequently asked Eslandolan leadership for the apple monopoly and the monopoly was pending for a while. Lord Maximilian Damaximus was very surprised that at one moment, his father-in-law (who is also the King of Eslandola), gave Maximilian an apple on one of his visits aboard the "Margot", stating: "you have to picture this moment for your apple monopoly". Some time flied by, before Maximilian realised that the apple monopoly still was pending, so that's why he is now posting the picture in one or other notorious Eslandolan Gossip Paper. After receiving the apple monopoly, Lord Maximilian Damaximus (why didn't I named my sigfig Tom Ato, that's a lot shorter...) was looking to the Eslandolan fleet sailing next to the "Margot". Ships and apples and hopefully soonish an own settlement. Life is good... The mad stuntdouble of the King kicking Corries @Maxim I - @TitusV On an island far far away, called Isla Phillipe, Corrington scientist have stranded for a daring expedition. They wanted to know how life of a pig looks like. Their research trip started very calm, but then suddenly, a fool dressed like the King of Eslandola came out of nowhere and started kicking Corries. To our beloved Corrington friends: we assure you that we had nothing to do with it. If you take a good look, you can definitely see that this version of the King is not the same as the King who is standing on the "Margot". We are very sorry about the events on Isla Phillipe and are sending you a pair of pigs so you can continue your examination. We also promise to track down that foolish stuntdouble as we think he is keeping our real King hostage and he is the villain after the recent Oleon - Eslandola thingy... Oleon scientists developped a new way of boarding a ship @Sebeus I - @WindBlowingThroughTheHall Oleon's most famous warship, "Beatrix", was hunting a pirate ship. Nothing wrong with this, we even applaud for the initiative. After getting next to its prey, the main mast suddenly collapsed. A trillion of Oleon Soldiers (well, at least 6 soldiers), quickly boarded the pirate ship and captured it. A brilliant tactic those Oleonandeozers developped! Famous Oleon Captain celebrates the victory with erm, let's just say he celebrates the victory! @Sebeus I - @Maxim I After capturing the pirate ship, Oleon Captain Sebeus spotted a sloop with two breathtaking girls and full of wine. Well, we did not heard a lot from the captain since that event, but I am sure he will be ready when M needs him for the next mission! He is our hero! His name is James, James Sebeus. Or was it Stephan James? Or Stephan Bond? Or Stephan Sebeus? Or... ?... Anyway, a painter painted the scene in case he needed some leverage one day... Sea Rats Fortress disappears and reappears as Eslandolan Fortress! @Captain Green Hair - @kabel Till the day of today (and even tomorrow), Corrington scientist are getting a headache figuring how one of the most mysterious tricks of the century has been pulled off!! One of the fortresses near Bastion suddenly disappeared and reappeared next to an Eslandolan hamlet! Even the bloody pirates were suddenly Greencoats!!! Strange things happens at BOBS... [other voice: ] You can say that again Mr. Garrison! Who is Mr. Garrison? Anyway: Oleon claims an island @Sebeus I - @Maxim I Well there was some competition, but Oleon was first. Is it possible that a large art & culture building has the same value as a medium property?

Near the Apple Cider Smugglers HQ, MAESTRO opened an inn so the smugglers and tired travellers could take a good sip of an apple cider or take a decent rest before challenging the waves again. The Innkeeper and his beautifull daughter took good care of the guests, making some of them stay a bit longer than planned. Some of them would eventually settle themself in Trador, but more about that later As the newly founded hamlet was located within a few miles of the contested Isla de Victoria, there were a lot of soldiers patrolling in the area around the HQ and the Inn. ------ Well, this was a fun build (even I had to tear apart one of my favourite MOC's that belonged to Stedor).
