    Well this is really encouraging for everything but my bank account. The Joker Steamroller set looks like it'll be better than I expected, especially if that Robin turns out to be Damien (even if he doesn't, yellow cape for the win) and purple cape for Batgirl could make that the figure of the series. The Batwing might need some modding (will need to see final pics for it) but it's a cool different design for it compared to the typical 'make a bat shape'. Batcopter's a bit bland but I reckon final pictures will do it more justice

    Damn I had written that Penguin set off as a no-buy since I already had him in the Arkham set, but between Scuba Batman and the adorable duckie boat this might tempt me a little too much to ignore. Would it be too much to ask for one side of Batman's head to have a little breather thingy over his mouth? Hope the other 2 missing Bat-sets are as good as this one

    The red eyes for Nightwing is accurate for some issues, but he also has white eyes in a lot of the New 52 appearances. I honestly think white would have been better but I get the feeling the face/red eyes will grow on me. At least the face is unique, the Robin face is quite generic looking in comparison to this when you think about it. Not a fan of the hair choice for him though, I definitely would have given him the skater/surfer hair. The body is fantastic though. Overall it could have been better (especially given how good Batgirl looks) but I'm still going to be happy to have him in the collection. Dick and Babs are my two favourite Bat-allies so I'm stoked to get both of them in the next run of sets. Flash's double sided head is looking good, I think it suits him quite well.

    Both Black Manta and New52 Ocean Master would make great minifigs, it's a shame they're probably not well known enough to get a figure made of them, at least unless Aquaman gets a himself some kind of mainstream media outlet (movie or something) that Lego can capitalise on. I'm just glad we got Aquaman in some way shape or form though

    It does look like the hair has been designed so a cape can fit snuggly between it and the body. I'm not getting my hopes up for a dual coloured cape though. Don't get me wrong I'd love a purple or gold underside, it'd make it one of the better minifigs made I reckon, but it just seems unlikely given she's already getting a brand new cowl piece. Maybe a future iteration will be upgraded (so we can buy more haha). That body will translate really easily into a Steph Brown figure too, and if that red hair is the same colour as Ginny's then I've found my hair piece for civilian Babs My fingers are crossed we see a Nightwing figure pop up from this seller too haha

    Is it wrong part of me hoped the Joker would be in his Hawaiin shirt from Killing Joke now there's a distinct possibility Barbara Gordon's Batgirl could be in it? Joker's nice, don't think I prefer the look to the normal Joker but it'll be nice to have as a switch up. Absolutely love the Batgirl minifig though. She was the figure I was hoping for most and it looks brilliant. What hair colour is it? Looks like it might be a tough one to match if we want to make a Babsfigure to match

    I could see Green Arrow getting a figure before Green Lantern, and Deathstroke makes a lot of sense as a potential figure. Part of me thinks if there's an store exclusive DC set for the next wave it'll feature one of our Green guys. I get the feeling Flash has filled the 'extra' figure quota for the Justice League in the regular release waves, and we'll get either a new Robin and Nightwing, or a Nightwing and Batgirl figure in the new sets. There's no foundation for these suspicions haha

    I get the impression it's more 'another Joker' than the steamroller concept itself. When people are hoping for new characters it can be frustrating to see Mr J pop up again. At least if they make him a little unique it's not so bad

    Do we know there's going to be 6 DC sets for this run, or is it just speculation? Just curious, I'd love for there to be 6 but I hadn't heard anything. I was actually kinda disappointed there was only going to be 4

    Well it sounds like Nightwing will appear in at least one of the sets which is fantastic news. Personally I'm hoping he's in the Man-Bat set, and they sneak in Batgirl as Bat's other hero for the Joker Steamroller set. Could easily see him just being used in both though, and them saving Batgirl for later (I'd rather her now though ) Bit disappointing on the villain front, but at least Joker gets a new hat! Maybe Penguin will have a different design too, useful at least for those who couldn't pick up Penguin/Riddler in the harder to attain sets. Man-Bat's eh for me, but I'll take him. Really hoping we get an Arnold Wesker (probably zero chance of that though), Killer Croc or another legit vilain alongside Joker, but I could just as easily see it being Harley and a thug. Ultimately how I feel about these sets will come down to the mystery figures, but it sounds like the sets themselves might be pretty nice! Thanks for the news Darth-Tater, if you remember any more feel free to spill

    I'm a sucker for all things Nygma so this is pretty much a shoe in, wish I could get a better look at what he's wearing though. Thought he was suited at first but as someone said on closer inspection it looks like a jumpsuit or something. Loving Flash though, the helmet is a great improvement on the video game version, and although the Batmobile isn't brilliant it looks like it could be made to look kinda cool with some modding.

    These are all fantastic, some brilliant ideas and designs. Love the Joker's in particular but I voted for Nightwing, looks perfect for him =)

    Agreed, these are the big omissions from the current Batman line I feel. I know it doesn't mean that much, but the fact both Nightwing and Batgirl will be in the board game gives me hope that they'll be given a set (maybe between them, given Dick and Barbara's connection in the comics). Killer Croc seems likely as the next villain since he's the glaring omission from those released in the first run. Alfred I'm a bit worried about. I only see him getting a gig either in a Beware the Batman (I prefer the traditional look for him personally) or in a Wayne Manor set (possible, but I doubt we'll see that next year given it's Marvel's turn for a big exclusive) But I'd love to get a Nightwing/Batgirl versus Killer Croc set (maybe some kind of Sewer/seaside battle? Give Nightwing a Jetski or I dunno a hovercraft for them to share...who wouldn't want a hovercraft haha?) and then move onto the rest of the Justice League. Flash and Green Lantern are long overdue in sets, and would be perfect in the team up sense. I'm guessing we'd see Cyborg in a Teen Titans set, especially since DC seem to be trying to build up his notoriety

    I'd presume regardless of whether they sorted out a deal with Fox they'd release an X-men set or two near the movie. Even if it wasn't based on the movies they could just release ones based off the comic books (which would probably appeal to more people here anyway minifig wise). Only thing is I thought Days of Future Past wasn't being released until next year? EDIT: Whoops was forgetting about The Wolverine.

    May be more coming in September, how non-committal haha. I'm guessing that's not a bad sign, but wonder what that means for Thor, will he have to wait until the new year or go early? Hopefully we get another DC set or two if we get some X-men, The MOS sets aren't overly interesting, so it'd be great to finally get Flash/Green Lantern, or I wouldn't complain for more Bat-family members like Nightwing/Batgirl

    I think that's a bit heavily weighted to Marvel. We're talking 9 to 4 there. I could see us maybe finally getting a Green Lantern set, and possibly a Flash alongside either Batman or Superman set. I'm hoping we see Nightwing and/or Batgirl in one of the Bat-centric sets (I'd presume we'd get Bats in one as well, probably with a new suit design) So maybe 2 Bat-sets since he's the focal point, with 2 other Justice League builder type sets (So you'd have Bats, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman after that batch in comic book style, then when the JL movie comes out we can have the cinematic style versions as well) I think we'll get the one exclusive, which will be Marvel based (probably X-men?) On a side note, I hope we get studio shots of the other MOS sets soon

    To me, Batgirl is probably the most important character that needs a figure, especially since she didn't get a release in the original run either. It'd be interesting to see if and when they do release Batgirl and Nightwing, whether they go off the New 52 comic look. Nightwing especially since he switched from blue to red in the colouring.

    Fingers crossed the Batman board game gives us a clue as to what to expect next. I know there are a lot of DC fans who are sick of seeing nothing but Batman sets, so I'd be content if they did a Nightwing/Batgirl set (with say Killer Croc or Hush or somebody) and started to explore other superheroes. They're the main two Bat-figs I want next (except for Alfred...so maybe a Bat-family set haha?)

    Those Black and White shots are so cool. My faves would have to be the Joker henchmen still, the shot just works so well, as well as Scarecrow and Electro Bats. Any chance you could post your custom Mad Hatter without the effects? I'm thinking about making a custom for myself since I doubt Lego will get to him, so I'm scouring any customs for inspiration haha

    Thanks for the side by side pic of the Blue squad robot and guy, they look really nice together. This is such an awesome little set, nice clear pictures. Bit of a shame the legs are little weak, but that's not too bad. The alien is such a cool figure even if his head can't turn I think

    Good review man, I was hoping to see some out of the box pictures of this. It looked cool from the prelim pictures and this confirms my thoughts on it. I'd love to build a squad of these ships, and the fact they are essentially ADU compatible colour wise only furthers my thoughts.
