  1. A little searching will get you far. I started a thread like this last year, and I think there was somebody else who did too.
  2. I saw these the other day on Bricklink, and I have to say I'm very interested in them. I know of a place that sells Dacta sets, and they'll order sets specifically for you (me?). I'm planning on getting one of these sets for myself, so if you're interested, shoot me a PM.
  3. It depends. Are we talking about just sets, just MOCs, or both? If we're talking just about sets, then I can give a definite no. Being a MOCer, I look at sets as parts packs, not necessarily as the sets themselves. That said, different themes have different specialty parts, all of which can be useful for my MOCs. If we're talking just about MOCs, then I'd say yes. Since I started getting serious about MOCing (about a year to a year and a half ago), I've settled into town/city building. I've dabbled in other themes, but I've never been satisfied with the results. Town/city is my comfort zone, if you will.
  4. Night actions are only applicable to those who are explicitly told they have them in their character description. When the host says so, you send in who you would like to use your night action on. You don't want to let other people know about them.
  5. Happy birthday, Quarryman! I hope you have the best day possible!
  6. It's going well. I have the whole back, front and left walls done, with the right side about 1/3 done. Then I just have to add the roof. Thanks, Tri95!
  7. Thanks! Thank you. The back rolling doors do work, you just can't see it in this picture Thanks. I know the wheels are small, and I've been working on using bigger ones.
  8. What!? Why would he have a Field Guide to Wilderness Survival? Was he- Was he going to run away?
  9. NO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Runs over to Stanton* Stanton! Stanton! I'm so sorry, I'm a terrible father. I should've come after you, but it was only a few minutes. I loved you, son! I loved you... Can I hold on to my son's backpack? I'll go through it and let everybody know what's in it.
  10. Thanks, Prateek. And no, that's dark red and pearl gold. Only the new trucks are regular red.
  11. If you do not register, all you can do is walk through and see the MOCs on the public days (Saturday and Sunday). If you are registered, for just $40 more, you can go to many workshops and roundtable discussions, get the goodie bag free, are eligible for the many raffles and free giveaways, and can make use of the Lego store event and on-site PAB. That's just scratching the surface. I would definitely recommend registering over going as a public visitor. The savings from the sales make up the extra cost itself, anyway.
  12. Here is the first picture of the completed fire truck, R134. It's not a very good photo, but it'll be replaced in due time.
  13. Happy birthday, Dita! Enjoy, but remember to keep our forums in check; we don't want more spam! Unless you like canned ham, that is. Great start to a birthday!
  14. The Battle of Almut and Quest of Time sets are available for pre-order on TRU Canada, shipping March 9th. Shipping also free on them, for now.
  15. Depends what you mean by everywhere. If you're talking about everywhere in the US, I'd assume so, but if you are talking about worldwide, then I can confirm, that no, in fact, it isn't happening everywhere. Yup, BOGO 1/2 off for all Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Power Miners sets.
  16. Happy birthday, ImperialScouts! Have a good day!
  17. I don't know how they'll be released to stores, but I think it's safe to assume that they'll be released here in Canada, considering they had them on display at the Canadian Toy and Hobby Fair last weekend.
  18. I hate to burst your bubble, but how are you planning on burning them without the bus catching fire..?
  19. Well, let's see here. I have a Canadian passport. -USA - About 15-20 times. Boston 8-10 times, Chicago once, Florida twice, New York once, Enfield once, Rhode Island once, southern California about 4-5 times and a few other places. I drove to Chicago and Boston, so technically I've to all the places in between, too. I went to Chicago for Brickworld, and have been to LEGOLand California twice. I went to Enfield just for a tour of the model shop there. -Mexico - About 5 times. -Israel - Four times. -Every province in lower Canada to the west of Ontario, most recently Vancouver last summer. -Jamaica - Once -I've also stopped over in numerous countries through other flights, like Germany and Denmark, but I don't think those really count -Italy in March I've always wanted to go to England, Japan and Africa. I guess we'll see if those ever happen.
  20. Great. The prices aren't the best on their website, but are less in person. Mike, who I believe is the owner, is a member on Eurobricks.
  21. I was consisdering that, but, as you pointed out, red is a common test colour. I did contact Magicbricks to see what they know about it.
  22. Hi again, everyone! I'm now looking for a very rare piece, the fireman's helmet in red. They're aren't any on Bricklink right now, so I've turned to you for help. Let me know if you have one, and we'll work out a deal.
  23. *I spy with my little eye; rocks to smash the bus windows with*
  24. Not really. Not at all actually. I'm not a construction worker, and I don't wear pirate vests . I do have a fig that looks like me, however. Really? I always imagined you as a one-eyed-pirate-jedi. Weird.
  25. I'd suggest we don't stand right under where he fell, because we don't want his legs to fall on us.
