It all depends on the vehicle in question. As a general rule, I use 5 wide for cars and small trucks, like my Chevy Lowrider. I use 6 wide for pick-up trucks, smaller vans and SUVs, like this, and 8 wide for larger trucks, like this. As an aside, I use seven wide for the beds of some specialized pick-ups, like this, and six wide for the cabs of many wide American trucks, that use the mudguards to widen them to 8 wide. EDIT: I found this rather old thread about it, back from when Hinckley couldn't start a poll

I always use the Active Topics button. I've been doing this since I first found the site, when you could browse even if you weren't registered. Siegfried has made it even easier by adding it to the toolbar near the top. If I'm looking for a specific topic, I'll do one of two things. If I know the topic starter, I'll search for the member, and them check the topics that they've started. If I don't, I'll use the search function from the My Assistant panel.

The windows are available in the fire station, albeit a more expensive set. I think they might be 1x2x3, though, which would be new. My internal scale is a bit out of whack today You know I'm always right, anyway.

I don't know- I can't say I like the house much. It looks like a simplified Creator house with minifigs. There aren't any special pieces of note, either; at least none that I can see. The child's hoodie is available in the city car, which is a smaller set.

What do you think is the ideal size of vignettes?

I've always been partial to the classic 8x8 size. I feel it is the perfect size to capture emotion and action. My second choice would be 10x10, for the same reasons as the 8x8, though a little larger. -
Feel free to use my avatar. That's these, this, this head, and a red or black construction helmet.

I got the keychain version of this to take apart today. For those wondering, it's, as suspected, made with Chinese plastic. I swear, it's going to take some lead paint for Lego to stop using these people... Toy Building Zone in St. Jacobs. That's where I got this.

Nice! An Orion VII NextGen? I've been wanting to build a TTC version of one these for a long time. Yours has everything I;d include, plus more. My only suggestion would be to add bigger wheels, but that's a minor irk.

[Brick Flick] NNN - Zundar Silverspine
Ricecracker replied to fallentomato's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
I saw it on FB, and I think it's amazing! I was going to comment there, but I see you've posted it here, too. -
I attempted to take new pictures of R134 tonight, but they all came out horribly. The one picture that was suitable to post was the following, showing the Stihl Chainsaw that I built to go along with the truck.

It's new for regular members... or at least me. It's never been there before. I didn't mention it, JimButcher did.

When you are in your PM area, and select your recipient, the drop down list that appears when you click on their name now includes an option to forward PMs. Here is an example:

I don't know, but I like it

That's amazing, ISC! I saw it on flickr, and from the thumbnail I thought it was a real pic. There's no need to only use 1x1s.

Sorry, but I interpreted it as if you meant that KUBRICKS was a Lego seller. I didn't think it would've been pertinent for you to post it if you realized it wasn't Lego. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

A bunch of Bionicle, Pirate, and Castle sets are 30% off at TRU, including the Imperial Flagship. It comes out to $187.47 CAD which is almost exactly the U.S. price, and with $5 more off with the promo code "febsave 5" until February 25th and free shipping, it's a pretty good deal.

I have found inconsistencies in tan myself, I just haven't been able to track which set it's been from since it's from a few years ago. There is the regular tan, and then there is a more yellow-y tan.

No, the U.S. has 15, Germany has 11, Norway has 8, and we're tied with France with 7.
-
Nope, we're tied for fourth

My guess is that you have replies set to "branching tree" format. Read through this thread to find how to fix it. I've also noticed that Classic-Town.net has been having incidents where I'll just get a screen that says something like "Server error" on it. I assume it's hosted on a different server, but I thought I'd bring it to your attention.

That isn't Lego...

I know where to find them, but it might be easier for other people if they're in the first post.

Yeah! Another gold for Canada! That's gold in women's and silver in men's snowboard cross. Posades, maybe it'd be a good idea to add medal standings, or a link to a website that has them in the first post?

Happy birthday Ras! Enjoy, or else .

Yeah, the Canadian Toy and Hobby Fair hasn't brought us any new set info in the past anyway, at least not to my knowledge; this was a first for us.
