REVIEW: Prince of Persia 7572 Quest Against Time
Ricecracker replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Licensed
All of mine have been fine. -
Here's my latest MOC. I built it for a competition for my LUG. This my revisit to set 6677 Motocross Racing. The reason I chose to make the Bronco is because it was around in '86, the year the set was released. The two models share many similarities, most notable of which is the colour scheme. Others include the raised suspension, tinted glass, sunroof and left rear mounted antenna. The wheel design is by Nolnet, and the suspension is based on _lichtbau_'s design. Enjoy! As always, find more on my flickr page.

When I first read the topic title, I thought you were talking about CAFS, Compressed Air Foam Systems. This is a very nice truck, LT! I really like the look of the hood, and the how you've managed to fit all of that equipment in there. There're two things I don't like on this. One, I think the light bar on top looks too big; and two, most vehicles, especially fire trucks, have extended bumpers. If you could push the bumper forward by about one plate, I think it'd look better.

First of all, this doesn't belong here, but that's too late to change. Here's what I do. -Take pictures of it beforehand so you know exactly what it looks like. -Take off and bag all loose parts/sections and minifigs/accessories. -Run your hand all along the MOC again to make sure all loose parts are off. -Find a cardboard box. An ideal one would be one that fits around the MOC snugly, and is also sealed throughout. Many boxes have holes in the bottom. -Take large Ziplock bags and blow into them until they are full of air. Place these in large open areas around the MOC. -Place the bags of loose parts inside of the box. -Seal up the box with packing tape. Make sure to bring some sort of knife to open it up afterwards. Bringing more tape to pack it up again is also useful.

High above the Pacific Ocean, Flight 518 is making it’s way towards Tokyo, Japan from Carlsbad, California. Many passengers are aboard, some sleeping, others listening to music or reading, and others still whispering to their neighbors. Suddenly, the entire plane rocks. Napping passengers are suddenly awoken as the PA is turned on and the Captain's voice is heard. “Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking, please remain seated. We’ve hit some slight turbulence, and are trying to sort the matter out. The “fasten seatbelt” sign has now been lit.” The passengers hurriedly whisper to each other, some praying or looking out the window. The plane rocks again, this time the turbulence is more intense. As some people yell and panic, the PA is turned on again. “Ladies and gentlemen, please remain calm. The staff are trained should anything happen”, says the pilot. One passenger on the far left of the aisle near the wing peers out the window. The hum of the engines can be heard. The plane shakes again, even more intense than the time before. Yet again, the PA is turned on. “Please, ladies and gentlemen, remain seated. We are going to be alri- t- hhh- chhhh-“ The PA statics in and out, and an explosion is heard. The soft hum of engines is quieter, and as the passenger looks out the window again, he can see flames coming from the far side of the wing! People are screaming now, some scrambling out of their seats in desperate attempt to find a parachute, while others grip their seat cushions tightly. Lights flicker on and off, and the plane begins to tip forward, rapidly descending. A few desperate passengers open a hatch and jump out. Unfortunately they did not realize that they were still at least 6,000 feet in the air, and had nothing but ocean beneath them. One or two fell to their doom. The plane was still falling, and people were holding on to anything they could for dear life. 4,000 feet, 3,000, 2,000… the plane was now less than 1,000 feet above sea level. Then, in a split second, it crashed. Crumpling from the impact, the plane broke into many pieces, bodies and scrap metal flying every which way. The passengers and staff experienced a blur of water, sky, and… land!? Many still onbard did not survive the impact, and more drowned in the confusion. The survivors who gained their bearings quickly swam to shore, not yet aware that they were extremely fortunate to crash near land. No, it wasn’t the Japanese coastline they were hoping for. It was an island. If you are interested in participating, please show your interest by posting in this topic within the next 4 days. A group of 21 players will then be selected from those interested, and will be given roles within the game. Selections are final, and are not to be disputed. Only sign up if you are willing to make the time commitment to post every day and be an active player for the duration of your time in the game (expected game length is approximately 2 months). If you sign up and do not participate, you will be unlikely to be considered for future games. This game will be a rather complex version of Mafia, so if you are new to the game and not confident yet it is suggested you watch this game and read up on previous games to get an idea for how it is played.

It'd take a lot of effort to start one, including learning about event management, etc. There would also be many costs associated with it.

There currently aren't any.

Hi Andy! Welcome to Eurobricks. Be sure to post a topic about yourself in the, "Hello, My Name is..." forum. As for your question, unfortunately, I don't know of a way to repair any bricks. Don't despair, though. There is a great online marketplace with hundreds of sellers selling thousands of items; all of which are LEGO! This place is called Bricklink.com. Browse through the catalog (or type in the set number at the top search bar to find the catalog entry for the set. Here are the ones for 956 and 851. What you want is the what you want is the inventory, which is to the right of the images. Here you'll find all of the pieces included in the set. What I suggest doing is going through and seeing which parts you have, and which you don't. Make a list of all of the parts you need. When you're on an item's page, go to the lower left side where it says "Lots for sale". Click on the colour you need, then browse all of the ones available. Since each lot is by a different vendor, prices and locations will vary. I hope I've helped! If you have any more questions about Bricklink, check out the Bricklink Questions topic.

Are you selling them? Here's what I do. I take one thin, clear trading card sleeve per minifig, slide it in sideways, fold over the sleeve, and then staple it shut. That way, each minifig is protected. I then put all of the figs into a padded envelope, and ship it. The sleeves I use can be found at TRU in the trading card section. They cost about $1-$2 for a pack of 100.

Check out this app. I'm not sure how often it's updated anymore, but it seems like it'd be useful.

Happy birthday, Mike! I hope you get everything you've wished for today.

Not true; 7570 Ostrich Race doesn't. That's just one example.

Really? Come on man, at least have the decency to tell me before we're about to start our game together. Sheesh. Well, good luck to you.

It is April 1st. They always do something extraordinary on April fool's.

Yes. It is not posted anywhere, at all, but if you scan any set, it shows up. I got Fight for the Dagger and Buzz's Command Ship for $67.78 including tax.

Check your store'shours, though it's probably until midnight tonight.

I just came back from Zellers. It isn't marked, but all Lego is BOGO 50% off. The Zellers had all of the PoP sets, too.
-
Even more so in real life! I had ten more, but I sold them before I took this pic.

Who said that?

Your wish is my command: Here is a comparison of the two swords. The Shamshir (New) is on the left, and the Katana (Old) is on the right. Aside from the guard, the two are identical.
-
Aside from the guard, the Shamshir and Katana are identical, down to the detailing on the handle. My guess is that it's just an updated mold. Here are the Bricklink pages for the Shamshir and Katana.
