  1. Hello everybody! I know this set is older, but due to the rising demand for RC buggy motors, or sets that include them, i decided to do this review! Here is a Picture of the Box: Next, Lets go to the specs: Year Released: 2003 Set Number: #8367 Set Name: "Hot Flame RC" Set Theme: Lego RC Racers Parts Count: 257 Where sold: EXCLUSIVELY at Radio Shack Retail Price: $49.99 USD Average Ebay/Brickink Price: $99.99-$159.99 Now that we are done with that, lets go over the contents: First, there is the partslist: CLICK FOR PARTSLIST! As you can see, there are only 257 pieces. That is because the set's main backbone is the Lego RC Components. However, it does make a very rigid base. Now, lets move on to the RC Pieces!!! A short few pics of the parts: 2X RC Buggy Motors 1X Remote 1X Steering Unit 2X Antenna 2X Wires, 15L 2X Steering Arms Pros of the RC System: VERY Fast, cool black color scheme, and 2outputs Cons of the RC System: NO AUXILLARY OUTPUT, 20min runtime, not much torque, awkward shape of motors Overall: It could have been better of they included a AUX output on the RC unit, but the sheer speed just outweighs most of the cons. I hope you invested in rechargeable AA's... Okay. Now, let's move on to the three models: •Wheelie model: Basically, the suspension in the rear is floppy, and when you go in reverse, and jam on the throttle foreword, the suspension tucks under, popping a wheelie. This model is only good for that. No street racing... •Drift model: This set includes a pair of plastic slicks for drifting. Snap them on the speed model and, you have a uncontrollable ride. You can't jam the throttle forewarn without spinning out of controll. You would be lucky to get up to full speed if you slowly eased it up there... Oh, and also the left and right auxiliary triggers cause the wheels to do a forward-back motion on one side or the other to cause the car to spin out. Don't build this model, unless you like uncontrollableness... I almost drifted this down our storm drain!!! •Speed model: basically the drift model without the stupid plastic tyres. It is the simplest and best model of the set. I like it because it uses the faster output axle of the RC motor, which makes the car very quick _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Overall: I seemed a bit disappointed with the set. It was smaller than I expected, the stunt models didn't work well at all, and it does not have the AUX output on the RC unit! But, it is the cheapest of the three Lego RC Racers sets. And, the price difference between a NEW one of these and buying all of the RC components on bricklink, it is about the same amount. So, I would say, if you can find a good deal in eBay for this set, grab it. I bought mine for $99.99USD MISB:) and that is a deal you shouldnt pass up. So, be on the lookout for these, and check brickset.com for eBay and Bricklink listings!
  2. Sweet! I happened to bump into a AFOL that specializes in Bionicle at a Lego Store in the Arrowhead mall in Phoenix, Arizona! It was our first encounters with other AFOLS and we were both super happy to meet! I also saw Dave Shaddix's (leader of AZLUG)'s Lego Portrait on display
  3. That is rediculous! Who the heck would buy that??? I dont even know the guy! If it was someone like Babe Ruth...that would be different
  4. After the purchase of my Lego Technic 9391 Crawler Crane, I decided that it needed less hand-of-god-crank-functions. So, that got me to thinking... Maybe I should try and Motorize it!!! Yes, I know it would not be the best asthetics-wise, but at least it would have some better functions... So, without furthur adue, here are the pictures! First, one of the model in general: Next, lets take a look at the underside-motors for drive & steer of the treads I also added in a swivel-lock for the turntable! Locked: Unlocked: Next, we have the re-positioned winch, with a 8T friction gear. I also added a belt wheel for a better "crane look" After that, lets view the battery box. I mounted it in the rear, for the best balance. I added some rear lights too. You can see my reflection in the Battery Box We also have the raise and lower of the beam. It is a bit fast... I also added a more realistic beam. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ Well, Thats all folks! Thank you so much for viewing! ALSO, IF I GET ENOUGH REQUESTS FOR INSTRUCTIONS, I WILL MAKE THEM!!!
  5. Now, I would have to say this is the BEST Lego Bike I have ever seen!
  6. I would say this is one of my few sets that is worth the money:) especially with the new parts
  7. Hello Evryone! Here, I present to you, my review of the Lego Technic 9391 Mini Crawler Crane. I just got it today at the Phoenix Lego Store First off, Lets start with a Google image for the 9391: Next, lets do some specs on the set: Date Released: January 2012 Set Number: #9391 Set name: "Mini Crawler Crane" Set Theme: Lego Technic Parts Count: 218 Pieces Lego Store Retail Price: $19.99USD (15.65 Euros) ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Now, Lets take a look at the box... The front The back, Sorry if it is ripped...I was in a hurry to open and get building!!! The Specs Now, Lets take a look at the contents! (The Mini Crawler Crane was already built) You can see, it came with two manuals, one to build the Mini Crawler Crane, the other, to build the Mini Tracked Bulldozer. Now, lets move on to the actual model (A-Model) Here are a few basic pictures of it: As you can see, it has a small beam that you can lift... As for the B-model, It is not as good as the A-model. I have already built it, and i forgot to take some pictures ___________________________________________________________________________ Next, lets go into some of the small details of the set! AAAWWW! a little cabine! So cute! The treads roll smoothly on any surface. Not too tight or too loose The small building beam that came with the set... just a lame prop... ___________________________________________________________________________ Okay! Now lets move onto the Mechanical Features First of all, the crane has a pivot point for the body, using the ALL NEW miniature Technic Turntable More close ups of that! Next, we have the boom raise and lower. It is hand cranked, and it uses a worm-gear-8-tooth gear system for strong, failsafe lifting. It actually moves a beam, which pushes or pulls on the large extening boom! Did I mention the LARGE range of motion??? After that, we have the extendable boom. The exendable boom has a click-lock mechanism on the inside, so the beam does not slide up or down without some decent force applied. Great design Lego! So, now that we are done with the functions, I would like tho show Y'all the new pieces introduced in this set! We have the Miniature Turntable The New-Style Technic Triangle (in Yellow) The 3L Pin with Center Pinhole (In Black) The Yellow Crane Arm ___________________________________________________________________________ Thank You so much for reading My review of the Lego Technic 9391 Miniature Crawler Crane! Let me know how I did for my first review in the comments! If you have any questions, Please ask< and Once again, Thanks for all of your support!!
  8. I'm curious what the suspension looks like
  9. I just like to differ from solid axles ever once in a while! Also the suspension angle is unique!
  10. Hey, Here is how I sort my pieces: -One divided container with pins, axles, and simple connectors -one divided container with 1/2beams, and more not commonly used connectors. -One divided container with all of my gears, and shock absorbers and 5x7 or 5x11 frames -one divided container with all short beams, and L-shaped beams -one divided container with longer beams -one container with all of my panels -all of my wheels and tires -random odd technic parts -all angled beams in one bin
  11. you are a teenager too? pm me!

  12. you are a teenager too? pm me!

  13. Yes, it is very hard to get the exact geometry right, but I think I have it down:) It wasnt exactly his idea. The only thing I took from his design is the angled beam thing, which I only used two of the same part he used on one side. So technically speaking, I was only inspired by his design. The rest is completely mine. I would advise you not to judge creations before seeing the differences between his design and mine. They are almost completely different. My suspension has: •a 5Wide suspension arm mount •equal arm spacing •A-arms attached onto the beams •a completely different mount •a completely different witdth and range of travel His suspension has •pivot brackets mounted on I-beams •7Wide bracket, different mounts •1-stud difference •longer range of travel So, with my clarification, I hope you get it now.
  14. Yes there was, but I wanted to make one announcing my success in making it
  15. Hey everyone! here are the PICTURES ON MY BRICKSHELF GALLERY and a better video of it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=lzE1Ttdd1TI
  16. I have tried to use it in a winch. it didnt have enough force though...
  17. You could combine 2x 3L thin beams, mount them in the holes of the rim, having the center be the axle tgat goes through them both. And you can use the pins for friction. I don't like to use rubber belts, because they slip, or they pull on the axle locations, if too tight, bending the axles and causing friction.
  18. Thanks for adding in the video Dluders. You are really helpful :D And to lipko: that's cool:) but I'm sorry it was a failure. Thanks for your support:)
  19. I hope you feeel better! good luck on that kidney
