Is Cuusoo too easily taken over by Rabid Fandoms?
88high replied to David Thomsen's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I completely agree -
Hello all! I was testing my RC unit today to make sure it would be ready for my next moc. However, much to my dismay, it all of a sudden quit on me So, I am looking to you guys because I think Zblj had a topic similar to this, but I can't seem to find it! Well, here is what I did to it: It was pretty dusty from driving my I-bean suspension truck Offroad in some dirt, so I decided to clean it off & change batteries. When I still had the old batteries in it, the steering motor would not stay to one side or the other, even if I had my finger telling it to go that way still. I also noticed that one RC motor had more power over the other, but I assumed that was because of the cables being sandwitched. I assumed most of the issues above were from the batteries. I took a warm slightly soapy damp paper towel and dusted it off with that. Then I whiped off the excess water with a kitchen towel. I let it sit in a sunny windowsill to dry off even more. 3 hours later, I try and put new standard Duracell AA batteries in, and I connected everything how it should be connected. What happens? It doesn't work! Not any of the motors or the steering motor!!! So, I check my batteries, make sure they face the right way. I check the channel. I try different channels, I switch my antennas, I replace the batteries in my remote... I have even tried unscrewing it, which I stripped all screws...ugh I just bought this RC unit brand new from a sealed 8367 hot flame RC set. It has only been in around 10 of my MOCS. None of them have been boats. Nor have i shorted it with a battery box (my buddy did that). I have all treated it very nicely! I don't see why it quits on me all of a sudden! I really need your help here to determine what happened or how I can fix this. It is probably my most valuable piece, so it means very much to me! It is at least worth $50.00USD! Can any of you help me fix this, if not help me get a replacement? (I know TLG doesn't make them anymore) Thanks for your help and suggestions!

Hey all, I finally got the time and I tracked down BIO BLOCK. You guys were right. It IS a bootleg brand, made by Dongguan Xinjifu Plastic Products, a huge Chinese industrial conglomerate that makes all sorts of plastic things, from kitchenware to lego bricks to halloween props. Here is how I found them after EXTENSIVE googling for "Bio Blocks Toys" I kept getting random organic fertilizer cubes as results... So, after scrolling a while, I found their import page on Alibaba. That, led me to Their company profile on Alibaba. Resulting, in finding Their Company Website Only, it was in Tradiotional Han Cinese Thank god for google translate... Anyways, thats my story. *CASE CLOSED*

Least appropriate place TLG has placed a flickfire missile.
88high replied to TeufelHund's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Although flickfire missiles are okay in moderation, too many of them are rediculous. not to mention, they hurt my fingernails if you flick them... -

Best Pieces for Hose System?
88high replied to Crtlego's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The metal on the inside would most likely not corrode or rust, because it is most likely aluminum. I would use a large pump to get the MAXIMUM airflow, along with several pneumatic airholders. good luck! I am curious to what you will build -
I have had a one or two missing prts in a Technic sert, but nothing too extereme as this! This makes me VERY angry because l of the careful measures TLG goes into making this not happen. They individually weigh each kit to see that the weights are in close measure They split the minifigures up into baggies They put annoying (but in this case useful) seal tape on their boxes In my opinion, whoever is doing this is very inconsiderate and rude to all of the consumers and AFOLS of the Lego product. Whoever that theif is, he would NOT like to meet me... And he better be careful...because we as a team of AFOLS, are gunna find you! (SKIP TO 1:35 OF THIS VIDEO)

Hey all, I just ran across this video on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNGPVUWJ2fY&feature=watch_response Apparently, a company down in Mexico, has been re-boxing 100%-Lego-brand sets, and selling them under the "BIO BLOCK" name. These sets are sold at the "Plaza Mall" in Mexico. They seem to be a LOT cheaper than what Lego sells them for... But, it is the exact same set and pieces! My question is , would you buy this, even though it is illigal? You would be getting the same set for quite the bargain... I live in Arizona, USA, so it would be a short half-day drive to get to Mexico to buy these... Do any builders here live in Mexico? Do you know about these BIO BLOCKS sets? If one of you do live in Mexico, would you like to take a closer look in these sets? Please Reply below!
