  1. Keep it up! Actually, this grilling can do us some good. If you keep grilling people, then we're getting somewhere. Though the methods may be un-orthodox, I think it works quite well.
  2. OK, as of yet, there are a few groups that I can form, based off of the postings from today: Open-minded players: Scouty Scuba KotZ Fugazi These are the players who have noted that there needs to be caution excersized before rushing to a conclusion about who to lynch. They often suggest waiting for a defense before condeming a player, and want to take time to consider the possibilities. Defensive: Shadows Dragonator These players have been quick to defend Palathadric, going off of the "It was a joke, let it go" analysis. They are also doing quite a bit of roleplaying, for the second day. None of this is damning evidence as to them being Scum, or Town, but it shows that whatever role they have, they likely have similar agendas. Certiant: Tamamono Rufus These players are quick to reach a conclusion, and would rather see a lynch of anyone, not matter their defense (unless it was something like a cop's result). They are quite sure of the lynch targets, and do not wait for a explanation. (Also, Hinckley could also fall into this category, but to a lesser dgeree [he asked for defenses]) And finaly, Offensive: BrickDoctor This player is quick to notice, point out, and zero-in on the target, trying to get them to crack. This position is more of a Town-tell than anything, but it isn't impossible for a good Scum player to mimic this almost perfectly. Seeing as BrickDoctor is an experinced player (In the game of life! ), don't immediately clear him of suspicions. Oh, I thought the body of the post was refering to me, and the top part was the part meant to refer to Mandel. It should've been re-writen like this: That's what I should've changed it to, correct?
  3. That's exactly what I needed. Thanks Scuba! If and when I flip town, look into those who were quick to defend Palathadric, I am very certaint that he's Scum, and those who seemed most certaint that I was the best lynch (Tamamono, specifically) are also good cases to look into.
  4. How does this "big Town picture" look? As far as I can see, right now, there are two prime candidates for the lynch: Palathadric, and me. Even if we're both Mafia, there will still be other members of the Mafia. As far as we know, The Cop was able to investigate someone, but they have not published that result. There were tow kills in the night, Danylonglegs, and Peanuts. One of the kills was most likely a vigilante or SK, while the other one was Mafia. Which means that the mafia were not blocked. Unless either night victim was the blocker, the blocker did not target a mafia killer. Is that the entire picture, or I am I missing some peices?
  5. Also, ...this. While nothing is brought up about me, he seems to be as fixated on the second Scum team as the people he is calling out for it. He is quick to protect Pewter, as Hinckley poited out, and is encouraging absolute certianty in the vote, which we all know is is next to impossible. He also roleplays quite a bit, bringing up his security role twice, and the Admiral, a NPC, once.
  6. Okay, then let's have a go at it/ This seems ridiculously certiant, even for a big mistake like mine. Knowing that I am Town, this leads me to suspect him. After one sentence, he's decided that I am Scum, without pausing to consider other possibilities. I know that if I were in his position, then I would at least take some time to consider other possibilities of explanations for my actions, and not come to that decision spontaneously, as he did.
  7. I don't understand how I edited it to "be in my favor". I edited it because I thought it had a different meaning from the orignal, and changed it to fit Pie's clarification. If I were Scum, I would've left the quote alone, knowing how much attention it would bring me.
  8. No. I was quite confused by Pie's original statement, and seeing the correction made me think it was about me, so I used it in my defense to Brickdoctor. I thought that he meant that by killing Peanuts, the scum had meant for Me to look like a bad guy, and that's why I changed the name. In this statement, I thought he was refering to the lynch today, and that's why I changed it.
  9. Because I was confused by this: I thought that he meant that everything in his post was bout me, except for the part about the vig, so I edited it for clarity. Crap. I didn't realise how much chainging the post based on what Pie had said later would cause everyone else to suspect it. I honestly thought that I was helping with clarity, since the post seemed confusing to me, and so, instead of adding both posts (Which I should have), I simply changed the wording on the first one. (Also, I was up late, and that happened to be my last post of the night. I don't know weter tiredness had something to do with it, but I don't think my brain was working at full capacity ).
  10. This(To a degree): This (Also to a degree, but I'm sure it seems harsher to me than you): Annnnndddddddd, this: While it may not be an entire Town's worth of accusations, it's quite a lot in the first few pages of discussion. I defend myself by saying that I was "talking about being scum from a purely hypothetical standpoint" because you were bringing up all of the different situations that may have caused Falcon to not be killed, that I hadn't though of, due to it being a simple defense.
  11. Well, I'm only quick on the defensivve because everyone else was so quick on the offensive against me. I was talking about being scum from a purely hypothetical standpoint, but yes, there are many ways that Falcon could have avoided a kill. I was just using the fact that he's alive (WHich would have had a much lower chance of happening, if I were scum) as part of my defense, since I have been put on the defensive.
  12. Also, I feel that the vig kill was more likely Dannylonglegs than Peanuts, since he was under suspicion during the day, and a smart scum team (Not saying that they couldn't be dumb, but let's assume that they're smart! ) would've gone for someone who they thought cthat they couldn't get an easy lynch on.
  13. Quite well, how about you? Well, I didn't suspect that you were faking cop, but incase you were worried, I kept it close to my chest, because I have no reason to out the cop, fake or otherwise. If I were scum, you are right, I would've told the rest of the Scum that you were the cop, and would've tried to get you killed. Seeing as you are alive, you can tell that I'm not scum. Also, for those who are curious, I suggested that he investigated Tamamono, and he said: Now, I don't know how sincere that was seeing as he faked the whole "I'm the Cop! Whoopee! " thing, but that's all that I have. As for the Scum kill, I think they may have been trying to frame me by killing Peanuts, to cover Palathadric. I am still very suspicious of him, and feel that he is Scum. No facts to back that up, just a gut feling and his gameplay behaviour.
  14. Well, in response to your first claim, I trust Mandel, and was also suspicious of Gordon. By voting, I expected either A: A defense (Townies always would perfer to defend themselves, vs. death ), B: or a lynch. The metagaming was one of the things I based my vote on, since I perfer having a basis behind my vote (more than just "They seemed suspicious, and the fact that a lot of other people voted for them is damming"). As far as I know, everyone has a reasonable chance of being Scum, but voting (and the subsequent pressure on that person) puts them ounder a magnifiying glass, and forces Scum to either play VERY well, or, more often, crack. As for Pewter, I have palyed with him before, and his Scum playstyle is quite different from his Town version. As a Scum, he seems to roleplay quite a bit, and be more easy with jokes and the like. While this is purely metagaming, it is more than just a joke in a PM (Which can still add to the accusation). If you would kindly noticed, I haven't changed my vote, nor do I plan to, unless someone is brought forward whom I belive to have a much greater chance of being Scum. Also, as I recal, you seemed to be advocating not voting (or, not voting for Pewter) While this is undobtely wise, it really doesn't help us. We must find someone to lynch in less than 14 hours. hat is definetly NOT enough time to go through and analyse the very limited information we have, and so we must act fast.
  15. In other Holodeck simulations, it seems to me that at least one of the members of the scum team likes to joke lot, and roleplay more than gameplay. I think it would be a good idea to get him talking, so... Vote:Ensign Brian Pewter, security (Palathadric) Also, he imediately contacted me in the Sim., but no such contact has been made this time around.
  16. Alrighty, I was getting the same feeling of a no-lynch, and you defended quite nicely, so... Unvote: Science Officer Lieutenant Michael McAndrews (Tamamono)
  17. For now, untill he puts up a decent defense, I'll Vote: Science Officer Lieutenant Michael McAndrews (Tamamono) Not only have you only come around the day thread a few times (enough to stay under the radar), there's the strange PMing, and the fact that ypu're calling out swills for not posting yet, and stating that we ( the Town) would be better off without him. Care to explain, Mr. Know-it-all?
  18. I read most of your 'statement', and the number of personal attacks just seemed to scream out, and that's why I felt the need to call you out on it. I was trying to use the knowledge that I had of you so far to see wether those attacks were because of the way you play, or wether there were more sinister motives at hand. You are right, I was trying to further what Mandel and Falcon had said, to try and further ourselves, seeing as it is still day one, and (just) about everything is a shot in the dark. I did not vote for you, nor will I because I belive that you have adequately defended yourself, and I am sorry if I hurt your feelings (your words, not mine! ).
  19. Yes, it was a particularly grope-y statement, and the main (and really, only) big flaw in his defense was attacking the other argurer by calling them a "megablok". The simulator talk was based around metagaming, although it seemed especially relevant. The reason I was non-committal was that I didn't truly think he was scum, I was just looking for a defense from him. It seems to have come ( In it's own, angry way ), but as to his vote for me, he is acting the way I expected him to, by directly firing back at me for accusing him.
  20. [attorney]I think that's called Ad Hominem, Mr. Carrot. And although your ranting defense is nice, it sems somewhat different from your gameplay style in the simulator. I think, in the simulator, you would have called out Mr. LongLegs, AND accused him of being scum. But here, you seem to be content to just call him a "megablok".[/attorney] WHile it isn't enough to call him out as being scum, I think Scuba's defense has enough holes to be decidely different from the way I remeber him playing in the simulator. You're ging to want a Piano Forte. Just a piano would be too quite on this big ship. [/musichumor]
  21. Good morning, crew of the Excalibur! I feel like I had the weirdest dream last night, lots of gambits (whatever those are, I heard the word being thrown around alot) and some silly lynching. Oh well, a new day, a new morning!
  22. We got switched!!! Alright, Ensign Jack Campbell , security, reporting for duty! But, there doesn't seem to be much of a threat right now (except for overly-dramatic players Hinck ). Glad to see all of your pretty faces, and a couple of new ones!
  23. Hooray! We get another go at it! Thanks's a LOT to Bob and Shadows (?) for being generous, and restarting the game! Although, this isn't as bad as when you play in real life, and when you wake up the mafia, they ALL make noise.
  24. Vote: Zachary Jones (Flipz) Sorry buddy! Even though I'm inclined to trust you, I remeber what happened last time I saw a Vid where there was a PR's result that the Town didn't investigate, and the Scum won. Plus, your defense isn't really doing too much, too many things that are WAY too iffy to all be confirmable. It seems that you'll keep up your pattern of being one of the first few kills, yet again!
  25. Since it seemed to be in the wrong format earlier, I'll Vote: Lieutenant Suzanne Vanderbilt (Flare)
