  1. It's currently on sale at Target for 7.99. At that price, it's an amazing parts set!
  2. Hello all! Dakar here, and I will be giving an overveiw of my city today. It all started back in 2008 with the GG, and has now grown to include 5 modulars, 4 road plates, a windmill, a hospital, construction site, and a police station! Now to the pictures: Our first veiw, at night. Not too much going on here *wink wink* A larger veiw of my city, in the morning. At the bottom right corner, you can see my scaffolding system. The veiw at noontime , as you enter the city. If you look, Mayor Brown is welcoming you, while John Glenn has been brought back to life behind him. And finaly, the veiw as you leave the city, with my two custom modulars in the background. Finnaly,I hope you enjoyed my city/town. I will disect it more in later posts, but for now, here is the Brickshelf folder. Thanks for veiwing! Dakar
  3. I'm game! Plus it will help me with my patience issues when opening a set. Dakar
  4. Here are two images of the reference vehicles, for those who don't know: Brick on and Drive on, Dakar
  5. What I'd like to know is why LEGO's ambulances have the same colour scheme as the hospitals. Where I live, the ambulances are either part of te fire department or owned by a private company.
  6. An element approximately the size of the parts on the outer ends of the branches of this peice: So that it could be fitted between theundersides of two bricks, to eaisly invert a peice or two. Would also leave no space between the two bricks, like this does:
  7. I also keep my door closed, but sometimes somebody will forget to close it, and the dog seems to be drawn to the most important peices laying on my floor ( Dark tan tiles, yellow 1x2 plates, etc). The charachteristic sound of doom is the crunch-crunch of dog tooth on ABS.
  8. I don't know about how anyone else handles this, so I figured I would ask: Does/has your dog ever chewed a Lego brick beyond recognition, and what have you done to prevent this from happening again?
  9. This layout is amazing Lightningtiger, it is unbeleivably realistic! One qualm, though. It is so based upon real buildings that the exteriors, well designed as they are, lose some of their lego-ey and brick-built feel. Oh well. Great city, no matter what!
  10. Guess what it's missing scott, just guess....... A Mailbox! Bluh blll blla bleh! _ Floppy the mailbox, the Lego Club show Cracks me up!
  11. Nice jjob with the roof styling, and great job with the technic gear detailing. I could only dream of having enough tan to build that!
  12. Thanks Phred. I will finish re-sizing and editing the photos before 4:00 Eastern standard time! Thanks for all the help!
  13. Hello Capitan J! I had the same issue as you, not enough support for my basePlates on our shag carpet. I solved that by using one of those wooden puzzle boards, which gives a raise of about two bricks, and gives plenty of support to the city. And when I need to expand,I build some 16x16 two-brick high modules out of technic bricks that I have lying around, then connect hem and build on top! Brick on! Dakar
  14. Thank you guys so much for the warm welcome! I've got class tomorrow, but as soon as I can, I will adjust the pics for everyone's benefit! Brick on, Dakar
  15. Hello all! I'm Dakar A, brand-new to EB, but i've been reading for a while. I wanted to share this first MOC of mine. I've gone through hundreds of iterations, but this is the final (and best!) design yet The main image, from he dealer's catologue, with the Blocci logo. Side veiw. Seats and engine detail visible. The view people get of it when celebrites wreck head on in to them! And finaly, the back end. Modled after Ferrari's own F430. Some details; It is approximaly the size of the cars from Custom Car Garage 10200. It has opening doors, a shifter, moveable seats, and an engine detail in the back. It is loosely based on the Ferrari 360 and 430 cars. Blocci's description: A superfast convertible from the inventors of speed, Blocchi. 0-60 in 1.75 seconds, this car is a breakthrough in taiga-top technology. Its 12-cylinder engine, in the rear, puts out 725 horsepower. With its elegant shape straddling its agressive looks, it is sure to turn heads and draw admirers. P.S.- I would really appreciate it if you could go to this page and vote for it, if you like it, of course! Thanks for reading and leave your opinion in the comments! P.P.S.- Sorry for the grainy images, I don't have any software beond MS paint!
  16. Thanks My main problem was that I was trying to post from LEGO.com, not brickshelf! Thanks again!
