  1. Bonjour! It's Dakar here with my first LDD published MOC! After purchasing my first copy of 3366 Satalite Launch Pad, I got a second copy at Target, on sale, and a copy of the Kingdom's polybag target parctice. I then dumped the peices out, and built this: (And translated it into LDD! ) Screenshot 01 Screenshot 02 Screenshot 03 The Red/whie/grey colour scheem is meant to be reminiscent of 7747 windmill transporter. The pallet has on it: 4 panes of glass, a lamp, an apple crate,a computer, two propane tanks, a large fuel tank, and two bottles of champane. Near the cabin is a refrigerated compratment, holding fruit, dairy, and other perishables (Not removeable). The Lxf is on this page. Thanks for waching, Design on! Dakar

    MOC poll

Bonjour! I have 5 MOCs that ahave been completed and will soon be raedy for posting. However, some of the photos are a lower quality than I would like. That can and will be changed. But in the meantime, I would like to know what my targeted audience would be most interested in seeing first: -A speedy, red, 8-wide supercar -A sleek and affordable green and white, 4-wide muscle car -A white, supersonic, minifig scale, city style jet fighter -A motorized windmill with video -Or a red white, and grey, 16x32 modular None of these have been posted before. Tell me your vote in the polls, or in the comments, Vote on, Dakar
  3. I agree, Lorax! I am planning on building a 6 ft x 6 ft table for my layout, and I tought THAT would be big! Good luck on filling all that space! Dakar P.s.- that switching yard is impressive! iT won't require ALL those baseplates, will it?
  4. I know what you mean, Brickmack. It's so easy to get distracted. I will usually envision the end result, MORE PEICES! I try not to tablescrap, and listen to all the music on my iPod, and I have removed all the songs that I don't like. I also break it down into a trashbag, full of all the parts that need to be sorted, and then I scoop them into a small ziplock tub. Sort on, Dakar
  5. Great job, guys! They get extra respect points for atttaching a minifig to their rig. I have a good feeling that this will soon be on the brothers brick, and many other Lego blogs! I am getting ideas of epic proportions from this. Once again, congratulations, and I hope both of them are TFOLs! To infinity, and beyond! Dakar Edit: It has now been blogged on TBB.
  6. Hello! I know that there's already a topic on sorting and storage, but I wanted to get on a different train: what makes you feel like sorting mass quantities of bricks. It seems to loom over every builder's head like a ton of... Bricks! ( Excuse the pun). Do you use music, a certiant video or t.v. show, or do you reward yourself with some sort of prize for finishing? I would like to know, because I am in that exact situation! Sort on, Dakar
  7. Great job! The only thing I dislike is the yellow building in the first staion. I think it draws attention away from the rest of your GREAT firestation. I love the vehicles, colours, and the whole thing in general. Dakar
  8. I don't think that's a variation... But all other dicscussion aside, great job bernd! The tan and black reminds me of the creator townhouse from a while back (that's a good thing ). Good choice of figs. I just don't quite understand the opening in the back wall... Oh well! Brick On! Dakar

Nice! I enjoyed your city layout! I don't know about you, but I wouldn't fell that my city was complete without ALL of the streets having sidewalks. But I know how hard it is is to come by dark bley and light bley plates in large quantities! Great sotry, you could tell it would be a long one becuse of the massive quantities of Ensigns killed ! Trek on! Dakar
  10. Hello Phred, My town, Studwell city hasn't been indexed yet. I'll give the informations so that it can be done! Thanks! User: Dakar A Name: Studwell city Post :http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=64424&st=0&p=1163235entry1163235 Regards, Dakar
  11. Wow! I love all of the classic town models you've put out so far Farnheim! I might try to convert some of these into city 6-wides, if you don't mind! Great job with the photography, and the model. The front really gives it an agressive stance, and the black wheels are perfect! Dump on! Dakar
  12. Impressive! Good luck with the sheriff's test! You could then get the new police car set to celebrate passing ! I can't watch the video's right now, at school. When I get home, I will veiw them and leave my thoughts. I've heard of some AFOL's getting the parts for the CC from Lego Direct. I wondered if anyone here has experience in doing that, and the cost. Dakar
  13. I don't personally have the CC yet, but I do have the GG, and I have added a bathroom, master bed, flatscreen tv and more. Pics to come. Dakar
  14. What, you feel self concious building when she's around, or is your Lego a secret hobby, stealthily kept from the light of day?! Dakar P.S.- great progress with the bank. A Danish town would be a boon for the city theme, I think.
  15. Nice! I really like the piston/ pump. The building is pretty small, but with some more elements, I think this could be a great MOC (Although it does have a classic town feel.) Dakar
  16. Amazing! This is great! It really captures the stingray/ manta ray shape. My favorite parts are how you did the rear window and the wheel arches. I also agree that it looks a little long. I thing dark blue works great, maybe you could do the interior in white. Can't wait for updates! Dakar
  17. On the Simpsons tonight, Lisa went into a Blockko store, and there were references to Pharoh's Quest and Alien Conquest. "We do the imagining for you.", says the salesperson.

If only we could get TLC to build a gas motor.... and wings that produced a large ammount of lift. Maybe they could partner with boeing, or some other commercial aircraft company, as they have before for airline promos. Dakar
  19. Definetly not the wrong idea! Just like Ralph S is welcomed here, I'm sure you will be too! Interesting idea, although I'm not sure if I quite understand it from the photo. Mabye some more pics might clear it up. By the way, welcome to Classic Town! Dakar EDIT- I get it now, after seeing the larger verison of the image. It might be possible to connect this to a power functions M motor with a short drivetrain.
  20. Hey! Dakar here, with my newest MOC/WIP. It's a WIP because 1.I can't set up my photo studio for better pictures, and 2.I need suggestions for the front of this car. The car was built to be similar to the Ferrari 599 GTB and the Blocci 395 Spyder but not a scale replica. The cabin is also built to hold one minifig, with about a half-plate of headroom. I'm absolutely in love with the back, so there's little chance of that getting changed. But I'm at a loss as to what to do with the front. Look at the pics and tell me in the comments. Thanks for your help, full MOC coming soon! Dakar
  21. My only issue is that in the dispatch work, M#g@B!0k$ are used! Otherwise, I beleive that chalk painting is the ultimate forced perspective. Dakar
  22. Nice! Let there be light, right? I like how this s going, and it gives me a welcome break from Town Hall discussion. I think this is the best, non-mdular Lego bank I've personally ever seen! Brick on, Dakar
  23. Maybe he did this video when they had just started designing the Town Hall . So it might have occured to them then to show us their coloumn technique. This would be possible because it takes about three years to design a lego set, so it might be the reason for that video! Dakar
  24. Haha! What a strange coincidence! Seems if you got all three, you could make up scenes from that "Bridezillas" show. I don't know if it airs outside of the US, though... Dakar
  25. It might be in a as-yet-unreleased summer set, for all we know. Or it could be another first! Dakar I can't tell, even after going to the website. You might be able to check by calculating it's height in bricks, then multiplying that by the height of a brick. But it is 10 inches long. Dakar
