  1. It might look like this: Hahahaha! Thanks for all the compliments! Beleive it or not, the first one was the hardest to figure out! Dakar
  2. Nice job! You really get a feel of Dede's MOC with this! Are you getting practice for something?! If you are doing this for the same reason I am, then good luck! If not, then ignore that statement! Good job. I only have two (minor) qualms: the half-stud rise on the roof, and the size of the tree. Otherwise, great job! (I've only said that like 3 times! ) Minimodular on! Dakar
  3. Looked that up on Google images. Not what you might expect. I was kinda going for a "Your room is coverd in Lego again!?" kind of a vibe. But thanks for the idea, and to everyone for the kind compliments! Dakar

Ohh.......................  Seems like something he (Clarkson) might spend 5,000 pounds on used, and then have to replace a spark plug in 2 weeks... Now that's never happened before! Good MOC, RPGer. I agree that the cheese grater looks a little out of place. Mabye a 1x1 trans-clear round plate? Godd job, nonetheless! DakaR
  5. Hey! I just want to say: amazing job DanthaMan! The colour blocking is superb, using dark red injust the right number of places, to add a realistic touch. It's so clean and shiny! The angles are just the cherry on top. I also like the use of Octan, insted of some rreal-world brand. Keeping' it Lego! Great job, and this would make a great set! Dakar
  6. Hello all! After seeing these on the interwebs, I thought that "There probably isn't one about AFOLs!", so I edited one, and here it is: AFOL What I really do by Dakar A, on Flickr NOTE: NONE of the MOcs pictured are my own. They're from google images! Hope you enjoyed it, and have a nice day! Dakar
  7. Wow! That's an amazing rendition of an apartment complex. I especially like how you have all of the windows with awnings. If this was to be built in real bricks, would these each be seperate units, or would it be one gigantic, solid building? Great job, and welcome to Eurobricks! Dakar
  8. I agree. I enjoyed watching this in nov.-dec., and then, it just stopped. Hope to see the end result. Dakar
  9. I like it, to a degree. First, I'm surprised no one has made an inappropriate joke by now, so, *insert inappropriate joke here*. Secondly, I like the build, the idea, and your design. But I personally think that there isn't enough closure on open backed buildings. But that's me! Great job! Dakar
  10. These are beautiful! I drew out, and am in the process of, designing (in LDD) a building similar to the dark blue one, but as I'm sure your brother can attest to, there aren't nearly enough peices produced in dark blue! Mabye we should start a petion in the Ambasabor forum for the next modular building set to be produced in dark blue!. Great job with both buildings. I love your interior, especially in the dark blue home. Great copy machine and drafting table! Dakar
  11. Thanks John! I was going to use either a1x2 plate or a 1x2x2 window with trans-light blue glass. The 1x2 plate would have either been too small, or on the edge of the base, and the window would have been to large, considering that it would have been nearly as tall a one story building in this scale. But, yeah. It would have been so awesome! Keep on swimming,Keep on swimming... Dakar
  12. Thanks Sonicstarlight! I didn't realise untill I was done, but the front seems to be sub-conciously inspired by your Empire Theatre! Thanks prateek! That's high praise, saying that it's better than the mini modulars. Almost Modular blasphemy! Thanks LegoCrazy! I was going to do a pool, but it would have either been too small or to big to fit/look right. So, I thought "Gee, lots of fancier hotels have fountians, and it would look nice!". Merci, L.T.! I had imagined it as being a chain of fancy hotels in New Studwell (Since I already had minifig-scale Studwell City, that will be the name of my micro city.), and it was started by a french emigrant, who came to America and made his fortune. Similar to Shahid Khan, except in an era gone by. The chain is now run by his (The frenchman's) family, who fly the French flag as a reminder of their ancestry. Nice little uplifting backstory, right? Thanks all! Dakar
  13. Great job Sonicstarlight! As I said on Flickr, this is a perfect compliment to the town hall.whilethe TH has mayoral offices and marriage clerks, this has court offices and hearing rooms. I personally think thatthese would look great paired with each other, probably on two sides of a street. Great job with the cheese patterns, and the judge's office. I wonder if the FOL community can get together and create an elevator standard that isfunctional, yet appealing, since I have heard some dissent about the elevator in the TH. great job, as always! Dakar
  14. B-M-3D Hello all! Dakar here with a Mini modular MOC. It's... The Blue Hotel! The Blue Hotel 2.0 Front by Dakar A, on Flickr "Founded in 1910, the blue hotel is the leading hotel service in New Studwell city. Each hotel is built with exactly 3 floors, a standard upheld to the highest points of excelence. Considered 'one of the best locally-based hotel chains' by the New Studwell Times, this hotel is guaranteed to meet and exceed your expectations!" Number of peices: 198 It is approximately 9 bricks tall and built to the mini modular standard. If you look closely, you can see two flights of stairs inside the central section of the building. The chain is owned by a (now) rich french family that all started with one aspiring young frenchman who emigrated to america with a dream. That is why the french flag is flying out front. The Blue Hotel 2.0 Rear by Dakar A, on Flickr This is also my entry for the Toys n' Bricks Mini Modulars contest. If you enjoyed it, come on over when the voting happens and vote for it. Or build your own, ince I'm the only entry so far! Microscale on, Dakar Edit 1: I originally had no patio, and the roof had two 1x3 solpes instead of the two 1x2 slopes and 1x2 white tile.
  15. I know I'm late, but... The ginger! The jacket juts fits with the idea of an auto dealership. Dakar
  16. Wow! I'm glad I wasn't on when these were seperate topics! I really like the grey convertible with the chrome grille. It seems to perfectly capture the shape of the Chrystler 300, one of my personal favorite American cars. The tiny turbo looks like a DeLorean (Good! ). One question: Where'd you get the dark grey and blue hoods? Dakar
  17. 26,000 PEICES is SMALL!? Ridiculously amazing. And I thought it was tough foucusing long enough to build a 750-ish peice MOC in LDD! CAD on, Dakar
  18. Great job, Awesome taylor! My only suggesastion would be to change all that grey (and I so that much grey) into another colour, such as brown. Dakar
  19. V-LV-60D to V-LV-60F Bonjour all! Following off L@go’s example, I have put together a sereies of vehicles, in a range of colours and types! I only have these three (and a half) built at the moment but with your coloured hood pieces and windscreens, ahem… ideas, I will be up for building more. They are three different cars, representing some of the great variety seen in the automotive market today. There’s the sleek, sporty, orange coupe. If you drive it, then you belong equaly on the track or on a public road. Built for the luxury division of a premeir auto company. This car is anything but tame. You'll know what I mean with the traction controll off! The compact. Designed to be small enough to fit into even the smallest parking spaces, while spacious enough to take grocery shopping. From the famous "gerbil comercial". And the muscle car. An automotive staple since 1960, this car is designed for speed! This version is the one most faithfull to the original in recent times, while still incorporating modern comforts (and emission laws ). The compact This one is built off the same chassis as the smart car, except being in red. This is meant to be similar to the Honda Civic or Kia Soul. This one was a relativaly simple build, requring only a few pieces. At the end of the review, if you click the link to my flickr, you can also see a funny car version! The sport coupe This one is menat to be similar to the 2013 Lexus GS. Designed in orange, I sadly didn’t have an orange hood piece in that size (Unlike L@go, and the rest of the world, I only have hoods in white and red…). My own design, but many of the parts were donated by a coast guard truck. Car guys. Generally friendly just- "GET OFF MY CAR!!!!" The Muscle car A classic staple of any american film that features ANY sort of speed. Need for, or otherwise. I knew that plain white would be too bland, and I wanted to do a racing stripe, so green worked out quite nicely. It has an opening trunk, whose main purpose is tho store one of the 2x2 tiles when it is converted to the GT 500 version. The GT 500 Developed specifically by a Mr. Shelby, this car is not only monstorously more powerfull than the orignal, it is also monstorously more expensive. Not really a different car, the 2x2 just used the trunk space quite nicely, and the cowl fit well. A nice minifig car combo, don’t you think? The classic hairpiece is the only one that works/fits inside the car. I always seem to think of the people who own muscle cars like this. Cool, relaxed, and in a tank top… Stoplights also double as Christmas trees for rowdy speed freaks on American roads. As anyone who lives near an intersection can attest, it is quite often easy to hear a muscle car driver or motorcyclist speeding (often quite loudly) into all hours of the night . In this case, one sports car driver who was too big for his britches got his megablocks handed to him (pardons moi français) by a guy in a muscle car with a big block engine! Well, thanks for reading C&C welcome, as always. As I mentioned earlier on my Flickr, there are more pic's, including a Compact funny car, a trunk shot , and a speedcamera shootout. Dakar
  20. A big honking memorial OF a rocket. It could be the next Cape Canaveral! Dakar
  21. It might be the light blue bricks. They had to dedicate some other (basic brick)molds to light blue, instead of a more-widely used (red! ) colour. But if there is a set with similarly coloured peices out now, I see no reason for that... (The orange copter also has a SRP, insted of MSRP, so that might account for something! ) Dakar
  22. Loving the MOC, Slovokiasteph! I know how hard it is to work with yellow, it being a primary colour, and all. Overall, great job! AMAZING interior. My favourite part is the rainbow & white first floor. On the roof, maybe make the top into a 4th part, up the architectural greebles, and have it sloping toward the back. Only a suggestion, though! Great job! Dakar out.
  23. Great job! One question, though: Where's kapersky? (I might be wrong, they might only be sponsors for next year! ) Othewiste, great moc! Love the good use of stickers and other peices. F1 on, Dakar
  24. I want an inverse cheese slope: (Credit: NOT my image. Appeared from google image search results for "cheese slope") Dakar
  25. Let me be the first to say: great job. I might be tempted to do this if I HAD the mini modulars... My favourite detail is the recreation of the Lego sign. It was also instantly recogniseable as your pub (Which I also love) Keep on shrinking your MOC's! Dakar
