Its' an 8-wide building, based on the Downtown Diner. The ground floor is an alley that leads to the back. The upper floors are connected to those of the middle building. I will make an appartment from it.

I’m busy with so many projects for such a long time now... Didn’t finish something new for ages. So this single image of one of those builds is a kind of teaser. ? Hope to present it in it’s full glory around New Year. So, hope you like it. Now is the moment for suggestions, I can always change. Happy building to all.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
BrickyBoy replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
That image can be fake... but not the message itself? Maybe the organisation from Comic Con made this? Who posted this btw? I'll take this with a grain of salt, but I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be true. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
BrickyBoy replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I'm really sorry. But that's indeed a guess. But it's the only "valid" rumor I've read in the past weeks/months. And to me, perfect timing to introduce the new modular is after Black Friday Sales... I don't have any inside information. I'm waiting hopefully like anyone else. But i'm confident in my hypothesis. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
BrickyBoy replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I really think we're less than a week away from the official announcement. After the Black Friday sales the new modular will be revealed. Wednesday the 4th. It will be a book shop. Hopefully it will be a lot better than the Corner Garage. I was (and still am) really dissapointed in it. I'm modding this set right now. For the moment I'm excited for the 2020 modular... -
I can't really remember, I think it was on Pinterest somewhere... Ok! Also on zusammengebaut.com!

This is really beautiful! I've seen the picture together with the Downtown Diner, what a great combination! Now you only have to make a Miami hotel. A few questions: how many pieces did you use? And are all the pieces available in its respectively colours? Do you ever plan to build this in real bricks? And maybe some instructions in the future? I'll support this on Ideas, but we all know that they won't produce this as a set. The new Corner Garage is nothing compared to this. Hope to see more of you in the future!

The baseplates where those minifigs are presented on, don't have the Lego logo on it... (I don't see) So maybe they're indeed not the real thing. -
How to integrate Ninjago City & Docks in a Modular town layout?
BrickyBoy replied to SwissBrick's topic in LEGO Town
You take my words! I'm now finally building up my city, and I will place the Ninjago City sets as a standalone in the sea, facing one of the 2 beaches I'm creating right now. Maybe I will add a proper monorail station in Ninjago City.- 47 replies

I agree. I think it would look much much better with the other side on the outside. Wonderful modular! Gives me so much inspiration! Thank you!!!

Thanks for your kind words! It's the thing I enjoy the most: modding official Lego models. At the moment I'm still working on a mod of the Brick Bank (will be police hq) and own modular versions of Bike Shop & Café and Corner Deli. And also some mocs... Maybe I will start a thread with all my work in progress. As far as this new set goes, I think I will combine the hotel building with elements from the Friends Hotel and maybe the structure of the Jurassic World Lockwood Estate.

The police officer is eating an ice cream! So the museum is under construction? Maybe it's finished at the end of the year, could be the new 2019 modular?
-
What a surprise! Didn't see this coming... There are nice elements in this set. The hop-on hop-off bus is the highlight for me. And the hotel building is a good base/starting point for a big moc. In contrary, the museum/exhibition is very very weak and empty. The idea is nice though. But in the end, I have to admit I really hoped for a new, more "Town Plan oriented" set this year.

I have a feeling we will eventually see a new proper monorail next year? Maybe with a nod to the past...? Dreaming

Now that we will get a new rollercoaster soon, I'm thinking of making an amusement park... I already have the Ferris Wheel, and don't know what to do with this Carousel. I'm struggled with the scale, isn't this too large compared to modular buildings? I won't place them too close to my town. What do you think guys? I'm intrigued by this city and layout:

I can't find it either

List of Modular MOC Instructions and Searching for More!
BrickyBoy replied to LegoModularFan's topic in LEGO Town
This is a very subjective list. But I'm thankful you did the effort. In your "must have " category there are models I really don't like and vice versa. But it can be helpful for sure! Do you have any direct links to the instructions/websites from those designers? -
Me too! Thank you so much! One final question: can someone shop this (again) in red? (Diner sign yellow, or remove the sign) But with the pink accents in yellow this time? And change the ugly tan facade in light grey? And all light grey parts (including roof elements) in the facade into dark grey? This is how I see my mod in the future. Think it will look great!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
BrickyBoy replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Get over it guys! It will be the Diner. Wondering how the next Town Plan set will look like, maybe also in art deco style to complement the new modular...? That would be nice!
