  1. I don't think I own a pair of sand green arms that haven't cracked but this may just be bad luck. I also find that white arms and light flesh crack easily. It must be a chemical that's added or omitted for the colour.
  2. My local tescos has the 6863 Batwing over Gotham city for £16. Not sure if it's the same in other stores.
  3. I would have thought that Lego design several versions of each character and then show them to DC or Marvel to see which ones they like. There must be a bit of negotiation between the two companies.
  4. I listen to the roosterteeth Podcast every week as its one of the funniest in my opinion. I also listen to LAML and I think its Lego talk podcast every now and then. I've been meaning to pick up the Ricky Gervais Show but keep forgetting but I always watch the TV series and it's brilliant. Head like an orange .
  5. It's hard for me to judge the previous batman films. The Tim Burton ones are great and admittedly the Joel Schmacher ones aren't great but I owe then so much. Batman forever was the first Bat film I saw and it introduced me to such a large universe. I don't like Two-face or Band in those films as they were kind off butchered by joel but they all have good points. Jim Carrey was great and so was some off the action scenes. I think That the upcoming reboot should be written by Paul Dini as he has done such great work with the animated series and the Arkham video games. The Arkham games have exactly what the next series needs which is great stories just believable enough and it stays true to the source. Also it would be a great chance for some characters to get the right live action portrails like Ivy and Freeze.
  6. No the raffle wasn't rigged they won by luck but if the who wanted to make money hadn't entered that raffle then a someone who would use that figure may have won. By the seller winning they have taken one of those figures from the pool and someone down the line who would have won if the seller had not have entered will have lost out.
  7. I mean someone who also attended the con as these figures aren't given away to the first x amount of people. They are raffled away during the event and anyone can scan there badge at the Lego booth and check back later to see if they won. If that person whether a fan or not knows before they get the figure that they are going to sell the figure online then it is wrong. By them winning one someone else at the con who may want to keep the figure for play or for display is denied the chance of this figure. True the person can do want ever they want it is there property but taking an item in full knowledge that you will sell that figure and make a lot of money when someone else who would use the figure lost out is wrong.
  8. I don't really understand where LEGO got the new Ultimate Spider-man design from but it's incredibly wrong. In the show he wears a darker blue and the red is a lot more prominent than it is on the fig.
  9. But some of the figures go on eBay straight away which I don't see the point in, why get them in the first case. If the first thing that someone does when they get home ( or even in their hotel at the con ) is sell the figure then it's a bit hypocritical. They may say I'm passing this figure on to someone who truly wants it but someone at that con lost out on a figure because of that person getting one. So when that person sells that figure online at such a high price within such a short time period since getting the fig, then it's wrong. Someone in the world lost out on a free give away only for someone else to make money out of it. It doesn't matter what the reason for selling it is whether it's bills or whatever. That person stopped someone for obtaining that figure and then charged someone else a large some of money for it.
  10. Well not all attendees are fans of comics, the con has become such a large place that many people are there just for TV, film, video games and toys. I plan on trying to go to comic con next year which is a lot harder for me. I have to get flights from England and Book a hotel and get tickets to the con. Which is expensive but I want to go once to an large event such as this. Also while true comic fans may appreciate the figures, quite a few of these figures end up on eBay. Which implies that a lot of people who obtain these figures do not wish to keep them. I would mind exclusives if they were spread out a bit but it's all San Diego or New york. Why don't Lego double the batch and give some away at AFOL con, some away in mainland Europe and some in Australia. At least give the world a chance.
  11. Is happy with Superheroes 2013 figures

  12. That's pretty cool luckily about the same time as the new Spider-man set comes out .
  13. I don't mind if TLC make other variants but it's highly unlikely. I can't see any of this years being mass produced in sets. I understand that with DC exclusives Shazam isn't well known and neither is Bizzaro really but, with the Marvel side Black suit Spidey and Phionix and major plot points and huge characters that are iconic to there series. Promotions should promote obtainable figures not limited edition figures that cost huge amounts of money to buy. So far only 1 exculsive figure has been obtainable and that's superman. However he wasn't given away at comic con so I don't really count him for this and the fact he was previewed with the other normal figures at the con. All 6 figures are really just in my opinion LEGZo showing off. It's like there saying "look at what we could do, we won't but look". It's unlikely we will get these characters ever again. Movie Green Lantern- very doubtful at the moment no word on any sets and WB is thinking about rebooting the series Movie Batman- although we are getting a TDKR Batman he's dark grey and not black plus the difference in cowl and it will be most likely a slightly changed print. Shazam- not very well known so I don't think there will ever be another fig. Bizzaro- same as above. Black suit Spider-man- at the moment TLC only has the licence to create sets around the new show. In the show Spidey doesn't ever have the suit it makes Harry the black Spidey and about 5 minuites later turns him into Venom. Phoenix - this variant is her most iconic so although it's possible we will get a Jean Grey fig in her X-men diggs it's unlikely as Lego will probably want to include other X-men like Cyclops and storm or whatever. The argument has been made that at least the characters got made, but is it really it wouldn't make any difference if someone created these at home I still can't get them and play with them. It might as well just be a photo because thats all it will ever be.
  14. A few weeks back I ordered the new batmobile from Tescos in the UK and I was shocked when I went to pick it up from the store ( if you get it delivered to the store you don't pay delivery). It looked like someone had run it over so I took it back and they ordered another one which had the exact same problem. The lady behind the counter said that it will most likely be the same again if I reordered it. It really annoyed me what if I was ordering it for a birthday present I couldnt give someone that box so I don't order from there anymore.
  15. I got minecraft Xbox 360 edition about 2 weeks after it came out and I have to say that I was amazed. When I first heard of minecraft I didn't think much to it or the people who constantly went on about it. After playing it however it has quickly become one of my favourite games and I have completely changed. Its so much fun playing with 4 other friends and I easily lose hours of my nights on it. I just hope that it's updated with all the PC stuff and also gets more achievements added, as I have them all and it's fun as a team to set out and get them together.
  16. Thats most likely the same reason were getting Gordon in a SWAT jacket, because his trench coat wouldn't look right. I'm hoping he has a double sided face aswell. We could still be getting a Catwomen fig as many others have said they may not of had the new mold ready or she was still in concept and be released in a small set in the second wave of 2013. If I remember correctly we didn't see Two-face, Riddler, Harely Quinn and Loki at comic con last year. I'm still holding out for a Lucious Fox figure in a set maybe a Wayne enterprises set. Lastly I'm glad that names head is printed as a mask would be too big and make him look strange. At least we can put a bike helmet on him . The only thing I don't like I'd that it doesn't go round the whole head after seeing the Lobot in the planet sets I would have thought that Lego would have done this. Still there's always time for them to change it.
  17. Good eye there . Although I'm sure this scene would be a great and wonderful set, I'm hoping for a bit more. Afterall the Batman side of Superheroes has been vehicle VS vehicle apart from the Batcave. Even with the 2006 theme it didn't change to much. The only exceptions was the Batcave (2006 and 2012) and Arkham Aslyum (2007 and 2013?). I wouldn't think that LEGO would change it up too much after all location style sets lend themselves better with other themes (Ultimate Spider-man). These sets need to appeal to kids and AFOLs but sometimes one set is aimed at one more. The upcoming Spidey set is more Kid friendly than the Chopper showdown. So I think the TDKR set will be more adult and may contain less play features. I certainly hope it's a tumbler that can eject a Batpod and both are more minifig scale. However I could easily see this set becoming the second most expensive of the next wave. Also I've been playing LEGO Batman 2 a lot recently and I have noticed that Bizzaro and Shazam are there comic con exculsive versions. These characters were included in the game well before they were given away. So this made me investigative, I looked at the new Batboat in the game and it looks very well done. Almost too well done it even has two cross rods in the back which look like they fire flick fires. This makes me wonder if we will get this Batboat with Aquaman, Penguin,Batman and MR Freeze.
  18. Whet down to my local comic book store yesterday and picked up the new 52 Nightwing #6,7,8,9,11 and Batman#1. Also found out that my local store had Alan Moore coming in during september to talk about some of his work with 'Killing Joke' and 'Watchmen'. Can't wait!!!
  19. That's quite cool. I wondered what happened to joker during the whole takeover. Nice to see its still a mystery what exactly happens to him but at least we know he could be still out there waiting for the right moment to cause chaos. Makes you feel sorry for Gotham.
  20. The sun promotions are a bit different than exculsive figures, as the polybags are available for purchase in other countries and even if there isn't a TRU near you or a WHSmith you can post the coupon inside the paper to The Sun HQ to get them. I kind off see your point with the airline exclusives but again they are available for a long time and also don't gernerate the crazy price increase on the secondary market. I don't feel that I am owed figures because I'm a fan but I believe that LEGO should level the playing field a little bit. I don't mind a couple of exculsives but unlike with other themes the superheroes ones are incredibly hard to obtain. For those outside the USA it's even harder and incredibly expensive. Also it's frustrating when so many people who obtain these figures at these events are not even fans of Lego and are just trying to get as many freebies as possible. These exculsives also seem to allow many none LEGO fans the ability to make a lot of money from AFOLs who cannot attend these events for whatever reason whether that be money, location, other commitments or even a combination of these plus others. I believe it would be much more beneficial to everyone If Lego did a 'May the forth' type event every year for superheroes. Say spend over a certain amount on superheroes and pick between two figures. LEGO already showed this worked with the Hulk fig. To me this petition is a lot more than what it seems. I doubt that Lego will make previous exculsives available but it may prevent them from continuing it in the future.
  21. I have happily signed this! I totally agree instead of offering exculsives LEGO should offer early releases of figures like they did with Superman and Bilbo Baggins.
  22. In my local Toys R Us there's all of the LOTR sets. They haven't been marked up yet so they should be the same as Argos.
  23. There might be more than one TDKR sets for all we know. There could be a second set as we haven't seen all the minifigures for the first wave, and there might even be a another one in the summer wave of superhero sets at this point no one knows.
  24. I agree not only did TDKR not need the Joker to be a good film but I also feel that after Ledger's death it would have been inappropriate to have cast someone else after the great performance he did. However one of the biggest problems I have with the trilogy was Two-face. I felt that although Aaron Eckhart did a great job I felt that the character was very rushed I would have preferred that Harvey Dent was included in Batman Begins or that becomes Two-face at the end of TDK and is then one of the main Villians in the next film. I understand the whole point of Two face in the trilogy and how relevant he is but to me there wasn't enough screen time for what is arguably one of Batman's iconic foes. I know that my changes would have changed the story drastically but I felt he was short changed and today still has recieved the live action film treatment he deserves. I also feel that there wasn't enough reason for him to become the villain, there wasn't much physiological problems like there is in the comics or TV series. It's just my girlfriends dead and I'm scarred well time to kill people.
  25. I like the Electro suit Batman and certainly am happy that the blue line was printed on the cowl like in the game. I'm disappointed that it's the new cowl as in the video game it's the old cowl they use.
