  1. Hello everyone This Saturday since Lego in the UK is offering 15% off I'm going down to pick Palpatines Arrest. However I'm looking for a small set to go along with it. Here's the boxes the other set must tick 1. Must under £30 ( however I will consider sets over this) 2. Must be star wars. I already have the New Dessert Skiff and the Droid escape. Thanks everyone
  2. I can see the AT-RT being Episode 3 based, but it seems doutbful with the inclusion of an assassin droid . Hopefully Lego will change this to a Wookie or battle droid.
  3. After watching the trailer this season certainly gotten bigger on scale. The whole Mandalore battle shot looks incredible and it looks like Maul will add a bit more flavour to the series. Although its more interesting giving him command of an army it doesn't immediatley fit into Ep 3. Hopefully this whole plot won't be rushed. seeing Palpatine fight Maul is going to be a highlight but I also want to see Maul fight Dooku. Hopefully they don't get rid of Maul in this series as he throws in some interesting plot lines into the mix.
  4. The first wave of sets is really a mixed bag for me. The Battle packs seem pretty good and its good to see that LEGO is continuing with TOR. I'm a bit suprised at the lack of any Ep 2 sets, but a lot of the CW stuff is the same. Maybe in the summer wave we will get a Jedi star fighter for Obi Wan. The planet sets seem very mixed while I look forward to getting a new R4 I'm dissapointed that we will be getting another Tie pilot as we got him with the Death Star. Also that planet set sounds awful printed astroids? come on LEGO thats just lame. The Headhunter and the AT-RT sound interresting i would be nice to get a new non CW printed Yoda but i'm guessing that its CW. The rancor pit is also nice not perfect as I feel it could of had more walls and a floor. Hulk-Smash were the clone troopers in the new Battle packs and in the other sets the Phase II troopers or were they the same old troopers. Also did they have any markings or colours?
  5. That E-mail is basically a nice way of saying 'no comment'. It's most likely someone at customer services who thinks your submitting set ideas. It's probably a template where the blanks are filled in depending in the information given in your E-mail. This has happened before I think with The Dark Knight Rises. I believe that some people where asking the same question and got a similar email. Looks like with Iron Man 3 sets that we will just have to wait and see.
  6. Just finished reading Gambit #1 Detective comics #1-7 Batgirl # 1-7 Batman & Robin # 1-7 All four are great reads I loved Batgirl and B&R as the story was very interesting and looked a lot more at the relationships between characters. Batgirl is one that I recommend everyone should read the emotional strain and fear shown in the book is incredible.
  7. I think that there maybe three waves this year. Surely Lego wouldn't be able to release sets based on 2 competing films at the same time. Im also guessing that both movie will get two sets at the most.
  8. Or it could be part of the summer wave.
  9. Some musical ideas A saxophone player A bassist A drummer with 2 new molded drum sticks A keyboard player A couple of guitarists with new guitars ( acoustic and maybe a Les Paul's style guitar) Also it would be cool to get a SWAT guy or a pregnant lady. A new backpack style part could form the bump over the torso. Lastly I would love to see a figure that looks like the queen.
  10. At the moment Lego only has the rights to the Marvel cinematic universe, X-men comics and Ultimate Spider-man. They dont have the rights to any other Marvel lines. They do however have the rights to every DC character.
  11. I certainly think that Lego will increase the amount of sets and the amount of waves per year. This on theme seems to be the equivalent of 20 themes. It's a bit frustrating to see certain sub themes pushed out so that all movies and TV shows can take there place. I know we have only seen one wave but Marvel is just really all film and TV. After seeing the X-men set last year I was pleased with the fact that Lego didn't just do Avengers. It's a shane that Ultimate Spider-man filled up All the Marvel line up. Maybe there is a unseen X set like the Funhouse or even one in the summer wave. Most of those films will get one set or maybe two I can't see enough interest for a whole wave of guardians of the Galaxy, and unfortunately the same probably goes for Thor and Cap. Like you said Iron man is the favourite, I can't imagine how Lego would operate if they gained the rights to every Marvel Character.
  12. I'm not saying they shouldn't make sets, I would love them but until we get a word from Lego. Sure you would think that they would make sets around the film, but you would also think that a DKR set would have come out the same time as the film. If Lego are gonna start making sets around all the films then over the next three years they will have to make Ironman 3 Thor the dark world Captain America the winter solider Guardians of the Galaxy Antman Avengers 2 Man of Steel Ultimate Spider-man season 1 & 2 possible 3 X-men comics Batman comics Justice League comics Plus any over shows or superhero films that Lego pick up ( Hulk agents of S.M.A.S.H or the new Marvel live action show) Thats not to say that they won't make the sets but we need more evidence than there's a Film out and a Youtuber said so. That said I would love a new Iron-Man set I could Imagine that his house would be a great set after reading aswell some of the plot points online it could be a great set. Also a quick way to get some of the old suits.
  13. It's safe to say that Lego will keep this licence for a long time. It said in the original press release it was multiyear. Not only that but just by judging on the Sales of these sets and the interest produced it would be stupid to cancel it. We can't really make all of our assumptions based on last year, last year was a test year. This year it clear that Lego want to mix the Waves up. It created a problem last year as they could release DC sets around the time of the TDKR. With the Iron man 3 sets they will most likely happen but I'm not totally sold on the idea. Why would Lego E-mail BrickshowTV with the news and not one of the many Lego news sites like e.g Brickset. The BrickshowTV is one of the most unprofessional show I've ever seen. They never really do a lot of research and there opinions about sets are based on facts that don't really make much difference to the greatness of a set. I find it very unlikely they would announce such important info in such a way. Surely they would of had an official press release like they did with Man of Steel.
  14. Which website? I looked at Amazon and it was unavailable and a US import.
  15. It's good to see the Marvel sets finally getting some Keychains and a Magnet set. The sets don't really suprise my as we all expected a camo Tumbler and a Batboat. It's strange how there's nothing about Arkham. Maybe it's a store exculsive to TRU like the Funhouse was.
  16. Do any of you guys know if the Marvels Avengers 10 Disc Phase One Boxset will be released in the UK? I keep looking to preorder it but its not listed anywhere.
  17. The older Robin minifigure couldn't be Damian Wayne as the Figure was released in 2006 but, Damian didn't become Robin until 2009. I think that figure was meant to represent the Robin from The New Batman Animated series from back in the 90's, which many of the figures were ( Two Face, Mr Freeze). Anyway back on Topic I think that the smallest set next year will be the Spider-man vs Venom set. I think it include the Spiderbike and a small street corner.
  18. I really love that Rock Band set, but like others have said it would have been nicer to have gotten a one piece guitar. Perhaps in Red with a white pick guard. I really dig the green Mohawk reminds me of the Joker boss from Arkham asylum. Not to fussed about the monster set but that would be a great way to get some zombies.
  19. Ye I think Lego designed him as Tim but Tt must have thought he was Dick. I know for sure it's not Stephanie Brown
  20. The Lego Batman Video game says that the current Robin minifigure is Dick Grayson, and shows of a civilian version which looks cool. I'm hoping that the second wave of 2013 has a Batman set without Batman. Maybe Batgirl and Nightwing VS Killer croc and Black Mask. I really like the Arkham city Robin but at the same time, a bit let down that there's no new print. It would have been good to have got an angry face. TDKR set will most likely be vehicle based with a tumbler and the B.A.T. Maybe a Batpod if we're lucky.
  21. I'm guessing that one of the sets will be an Ewok village. After all they made that new mild a few years ago and there's been a big Endor push in the last few years. Hopefully we will see a new Republic gunship and maybe an AT-TE. I would love to see a new Sail barge or a new count dooku fig.
  22. Lego never refers to those sets as Christmas sets however there called holiday sets. I don't have a problem with any sort of religious set or even a military theme like a WWII theme for example but I understand there reasons for not making them. The holiday sets however are most likely not released world wide. I doubt that Lego would release these sets in places such as Asia or the middle east where the main population don't celebrate Christmas. In today's world Christmas has become less of a Christian holiday and is celebrated by many. I know lots of people who are Hindu, Muslim and atheists who buy presents and have Christmas dinner with family on December 25. One of the reasons that Christmas and even Easter are more Mainstream is because of the commercialism that surrounds them.
  23. Eighteen months is a long time and Fox already have a writer, producer and maybe a director attached to the new film. All Fox need to do is have a film in production to retain the rights. Marvel have been quite lucky recently with rights, in the past six months they have regained Blade, Punisher and DareDevil. Fox will most likely rush a FF movie through to the filming stages in order to keep the rights, especially after losing DD. I'm starting to think that maybe Marvel should just buy back the larger series like Spider-man and X-men as both Sony and Fox will never let those rights fall back to Marvel. It's not as if they can't afford it as just Avengers made 1.4 billion and it hasn't even been released on DVD yet. Plus all the money from the other films. Then again with all these rights falling back to Marvel already it will be along time before they start making these reboots. Marvel already have there schedual full until 2015.
  24. Ye a lot of Superhero films are getting a dark setting. Which works well for Batman and I also think worked with the new Spider-man, but a lot of franchises just dont fit. I can't imagine a dark gritty reboot of The Fantastic Four but at the same time I can't imagine a child friendly Blade film or Daredevil film. When you look at some of the comics though, when I'm reading them I'm thinking how the hell could someone under 15 read this. Certainly Wolverine is one of those Characters who could work well with a dark gritty even gorey film.
  25. Actually it's Fox who own the rights to the Fantastic Four, but ye those movies were pretty bad. They all had stupid product placement like the Nike sneakers and both had a 30 second nude sue storm scene. One of the few good things in the film was the actor who played Reed Richards.
