Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Sam892 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Like Hulk smash said it can launch web that it can drive over. But it can also climb walls, Nick Fury gave him the bike when he joined S.H.I.E.L.D. The bike doesn't feature a lot and has only been in a couple of Episodes, Spidey mainly travels by web still. But the Bike will attract more kids. -
The price wasn't to bad about £100 which makes them £50 each. I was only really looking at getting Phoenix and maybe getting Spidey next year, but it was cheaper to buy them together so I decided to go for it .

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

Hmm I would say most likely as LEGO like changing colours in Marvel sets. The shield fighter jets in the Avengers film was grey and the Jeeps were black. In the sets there Dark blue, so I think it's possible as LEGO try to keep completely Grey vehicles only in Star Wars. I don't mind either way I most likely won't use it at all hopefully Nick Fury will come with a cool car or maybe a Jet pack? I'm also guessing the Spider-cycle will be similar in size to the Bat bike in the Batcave and Funhouse sets. -
Today I bought of eBay the Marvel comic con figures ( Phoenix and Black suit Spider-man). I can't wait till they get here!!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion

Well I was very pleased with the opening of Season 5. Great music, great action, great story line and already has me hooked on Maul again. Hopefully we don't have to wait until the finale to see Maul and Savage again. Also I don't know if any of you have seen the Fan questions videos on YouTube but Dave hinted that we will find out Darth Mauls birth name this season. I'm hoping its not a lame name and is as badass as Maul is. Going back to the episode it was interesting to see Maul and Savage get a beating. They were set up as such unstoppable juggernauts in the last seasons and trailers. It was a little bit shocking but, good shocking kept me on my edge of my seat. So was Obi Wan fuelled by a bit of rage? I mean he did kick there megablocks in that corridor. -
Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

Well I'm convinced there's another Marvel set to be announced. There's still the Arkham set to be shown off which will give an uneven balance to the number of sets. Plus I doubt that Marvel will let DC have an extra set, and the Chopper showdown sold pretty well this year. In my local area I managed to get it day one with the cosmic cube escape, but since then as soon as its on shelves it seems to go again. It's kind of strange given that until recently the it was the only non Avengers Marvel set. I can't see LEGO not producing a X-men follow up. I'm sure I've already mention this before somewhere but I can't remember where . Also all the Man Of Steel and Iron-man sets should come out this year. It wouldn't surprise me if in the 2014 winter sets, that if we're following this year as a template we will get 1 or 2 Thor: The Dark World sets with a mix of Spider-man, DC and X-men. Followed in the summer by Captain America, Ant-man and maybe a couple more comic sets. But it's too early to think about 2014 yet . -

This isn't the first time Spider-man has been given vehicles. In the comics he got the Spider-buggy. While I would prefer Sets based on the comics I don't have any thing against Ultimate Spidey. I enjoy the show and watch it every week, plus the show has given us a great gift in the fact we are getting lots of great marvel figures we most likely wouldn't get. This show reminds me a little of the old 90's TV show in the fact that its not just Spidey's rouges he fights. Which again is great its given us Dr Doom, the character that inspired Darth Vader. Although USM isn't as good as the 90's shows. -
Yay after looking for months and constant outbidding I've finally won a pair!! I agree that if LEGO want to make variations of figures I usually don't care. I do with Black suit Spider-man however since the Venom story line is such an important part of the spider-man mythos. It's different with Bat-man as he has about 10 suits. It's when lego make a character exclusively for an event that the majority of fans can't get is disappointing to say the least. Taking a look at all four of this years exclusives the one with the best chance of being made is Bizzaro. With the new Superman film series coming out next year, hopefully he will appear as a villian later on in the franchise. Also this depends on LEGO continuing making Superman sets. The other 3 are near impossible to be made.

Maybe a Japanese Bullet Train or hopefully a New Exculsive station. So if the name is changing to Creator Expert series does this mean that it will inculde alternative models? Or maybe alternative interiors? Hopefully it shouldn't replace the Maersk Train straightaway, after all the Emerald Znight wasn't replaced straightaway.

Haha that Green Goblin one is hilarious Oky. Keep up the good work!
-
Totally agree I'm not a fan of the flexible track. I wish that LEGO would just bring out curved rails as a stand alone track pack. Also after taking a second look at the train the colour combo reminds me of Sebulba's pod racer. Not that I'm complaining this train looks wonderful, would be interesting to see what it would look like with yellow instead of orange. Would remind me of a much older LEGO train which was the first Train I ever owned.
-
Wow LEGO really has set a new bar with this train. It looks wonderful and its quite long with both of this cars. More importantly however green bottles only joking. This train already is a must buy for me next year.

Does anyone know where in the UK they are offering the Elrond minifigure? I know the Lex Luthor figure was everywhere and I didn't have to pre order it I could pick a game version with him up of the shelves. Is it the same situation or different this time?

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion
Sam892 replied to LEGOman273's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Umm spoilers? I haven't seen the Episode yet as it hasn't aired in the UK and I didn't think it aired in the US until Sunday. -
I've started seeing some of the new Batman Keychains ( dark blue Batman ) has started to get the new cowl. In my opinion the old cowl looks a lot better in dark blue than the new one.

Pick up the First X-men 1&2 today there pretty good reads but it's a little bit strange. Not sure if its part of the main universe, but wolverine seems really important to the X-men even before they were created.

Well so far we have Black Widow and Phoenix, but you have to remember that this theme is only just getting started and needs time to mature. Star Wars was the same for a long time there was only Padme and Leia that were figures now look at all the female characters there. Also like Spider-man said so far there hasn't really been any way possible to include female superheroes in the current sets. The Avengers only had Black Widow and there really only White Tiger in Ultimate Spider-man. However next month Marvel reboots its whole line of comics from #1, and looking at the line up I'm guessing there will be a lot of interest in Female superheroes like She Hulk/ Red She Hulk, Hope Summers, Storm, Spider-women,Shadowcat, Rouge and Sue Storm. Their are some characters which I doubt LEGO will ever release due to the look of their character being ever sexualised.
-
LEGO have already stated that they will not make any of the exculsive Figures for a wider release. Even them DKR Batman is different as in the upcoming set his suit is grey. I'm not a big fan of Exculsives I would much rather that LEGO pre released some figs from the upcoming wave.
-
I agree it does seem strange there has been a big push with Nova. He's in Ultimate Spidey and in the new Marvel now stuff. I read a few months back that Marvel is developing Luke Cage and Iron Fist for a movie. I still hoping by the time we get to phase 3 we may have a New Avengers team in the works for a movie. I've been meaning to start reading some of the GG stuff I'm currently reading through a lot of the Thanos stuff. I have to say the more and more I read of Thanos the more excited I get!

I also think there will be an X-men exclusive that we won't know about until December when it just shows up in TRU. -

I also read that the Samuel L Jackson version of Fury ( the ultimate version ) is now in the main universe aswell. Hopefully the set fury comes in includes a little but of scenery as the Spider cycle isn't a big enough vehicle for that price. -
I'm think we may here some news at the New York comic con but I wouldn't put money on it. A more likely place will be SDCC next year, they will most likely talk about GG and Antman since they focus mainly on Iron-man and Thor at the moment. I read that Micheal Clark Duncan recently recorded lines for Groot in the second season of Ultimate Spider-man. I think his voice will suit Groot and its a horrible shame he passed away, I would have loved for him to voice Groot in the Cinematic Universe.

That's not to mention Nick Fury, who looks incredible. He could easily blend in with many Marvel set, he can hang out with Wolverine or sit with Hulk on the Helicarrier. -
It would be a lame healing factor if Logan was allowed an addimantium skeleton but, wasn't allowed to get rid of wrinkles. .

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

I had a look at the last few Ultimate Spider-man Episode lists, and it looks like The Beatle returns. I also have a feeling that the upcoming Bugle set may be based on this episode. After all Jameson didn't make a physical appearance in the other episode. Also after the his first appearance the Beetle still has a vendetta against Jameson. So I'm guessing he and Doctor Doom attack the Daily Bugle again with Spider-man and Friends save the day. However I also know the LEGO isn't always known for its accuracy.
