Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Sam892 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I could easily see Lego skipping the mark VI and VII since they are already available in Avengwrs sets. Plus cancel the mark VIII since it will most likely be in the two other sets. Include a henge men, Happy Hogan, Suits mark I-V and ironman. I don't think the Hulk fig counts in the Helicarrier set, as he counts for two maybe three figs. -
Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

The one thing I pray that LEGO doesn't do, is have a sticker with all the suits on for the hall of armor. -
My cousins got me all 3 of the Halo fall of reach graphic novel books. I read the novel back in 2008 or 2009, but its wonderful to tread in the comic book style. I also was given some more of the Marvel graphic novels collection for Christmas from my Dad. He got me Avengers forever 2, E is for Extiction, Avengers disassembled, She Hulk and Marvel Zombies. Lastly I picked up Nightwing, A+X and All new X-men last week. Nightwing was really good I was waiting for his series to get involved with DOTF and its great to see him against Joker solo. All New X-men was great and I haven't really been disappointed by the series so far. Lastly I haven't read AvX and I'm thinking about dropping it as its not really a interesting series. I enjoy the team ups but I need to make room for some of the new titles next year.

REVIEW: 76004 Spider-Man: Spider-Cycle Chase
Sam892 replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Not sure that's fair Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Nova are extremely important characters with a long history in the Marvel universe. I for one am happy that LEGO isn't just focusing on the A list of Superheroes like Iron man and Spidey. Plus it would soon become boring with just Spidey and Fury in every set. Anyway great review, can't wait to pick this set up. It's most likely going to be my first buy of 2013. I'm not a fan of the new Spidey figure, I love the printing but its the blue that gets me. In the shows and other media that I've experienced it's a darker blue. At the moment to me at least I feel that he looks like someone wearing kids pyjamas. Venom looks great but I wish he was a bit like the Dogpound figure in the TMNT theme, a little bit bigger and more muscular. Still a great fig however, and Nick fury is just incredible. It makes me wonder if they will ever release a white Nick Fury fig, maybe as a comic con Exculsive since he's being phased out. Love the Spider-cycle and the flying car especially the way the cycle can split down the middle for train tracks like in the show.- 62 replies

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Sam892 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
By the looks of the trailer the hall of armor gets destroyed. Hopefully that will be a play feature where you press a button, and the suits fly out of there cases. Hopefully the mansion is less Helicarrier and more Arkham style. -
Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

Well the new Spider-man sets are timed well considering, Marvel announced the release date of Ultimate Spider-man Season 2. January 21st which is just two weeks after the new sets. The premiere is meant to have the Lizard and Electro as the villains, with Wolverine helping out. So I guess we can look forward to getting them as figs the following year. Are the Superhero sets on S@H yet? If not I'm really suprised last year I think they were all up by December 15th? -
LEGO CUUSOO BTTF DeLorean Time Machine ACHIEVED
Sam892 replied to Ceroknight's topic in LEGO Licensed
This is wonderful news and I can't wait to get my hands on one. Like others have said its a shame about the modular western. However I happy that at least we get the BTTF set. Hopefully it won't be to expensive but I'm happy with it being a little other priced since 1% is going to charity. In 2013 we're gonna see some serious #*%^#. -
Really looking forward to Days of Future Past and Wolverine, both films sound amazing. I wasn't suprised that Jackmans returning for a seventh time to the role of Logan. He really seems to love playing him in the films, and I can't think of anyone better to play him. Hopefully we will see Storm, Jean, Cyclops,Beast and the other cast members from the orginal films. Be interesting to see how they travel through time. Maybe a mutant or Proffessor X sends his brain waves through time. Would be great if they introduce Scarlet witch and Quicksilver.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Sam892 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Freeze most likely only has one head due to the fact that outside of his suit he's bald. Imagine if Nick Fury came in a space set with the The Fantastic Four. Nick would wear a space suit but still wouldn't have a second face, because it would limit him to only wearing the suit. Freeze is a bit similar he wouldn't need his suit in his Arkham cell since its kept a sub zero temps. Plus the suit would most likely be taken of him as it would allow him to live outside of his cell. So even though its disappointing it makes sense. One of the ways I remember batman defeating Freeze is by removing his helmet. I can't really think of a easy way to capture freeze without damaging or removing his suit. It would have been nice to have gotten the goggles but overall I think he's a good fig. I don't think he's the worst superheroes fig. That has to go to the Chintrai ( think that's how you spell them). -
Went to go see the Hobbit earlier and I loved it. A great film and an amazing cast, enjoyed every minuite. I was a bit confused with the Lego sets around the film however. I won't spiol anything but it was clear that Lego had selected sets before it became 3 films. So because of this we have some sets from the next film out now.

Hopefully it's still Peter Parker in Superior Spider-man. Not that I have anything against Miles in the Ultimate universe but I think in 616 it should always be Peter.
-
With the PT sets I'm guessing that the figures will most likely be Obi wan, Anakin, Padme, Jango Fett, New Clone Pilotx2, maybe two secondary Jedi ( Aalya or Mundi ) and two of the New clones. I can't see Lego putting lots of Clones in the sets as the have the AOTC battle pack in the spring. I could see the Yoda vs Dooku set would include a pillar and maybe a speeder. If its a bigger set it could include the solar sailer. The Alliance droid I can see including a few droids maybe a clone and a Jedi. After seeing Palpatines arrest I can't see that including secondary Jedi as a problem. Especially since lego like to reuse Molds.

This week I picked up Iron man #3 and All New X-men #3. Both were good but I felt that X-men didn't really solve the cliff hanger from last week and it didn't have any ties to the previous week. It was more of a prequel which is fine but it means I have to wait until next issue for the pay off. Iron man was great it was interesting to see the story take a different turn with Extremis. I also picked up ThunderBolts but I haven't had a chance to read it yet. Lastly today I manage to get some good graphic novels of eBay the Marvel Ultimate Graphic Novel Collection ( which I'm collecting). They cost me £64 and it includes: Spider-man coming home X-men Dark Pheonix Iron man Extremis Ultimates Birth of Venom Thor reborn Winter solider Incredible Hulk silent screams Wolverine X-men Gifted Captain Britaian crooked world Avengers forever part 1 Kravens last hunt Captain America new deal And Marvels. This lot should definately keep me busy over the next few months. Also I think it was a good deal as in the shops each book costs £10. So here I managed to get 15 for £64. I have the first four but I can also swap them or sell them on to my comic store.

Hi at the moment I don't have anymore Thor or Hawkeye polybags but if I get anymore I'll let you know. I tried to PM you both earlier today but my messenger isn't working from my phone at the moment. Thanks Sam

I agree the All New X-men is one of my favourite Marvel Now titles. It's great I'm loving Cyclops as the villian but I'm happy there's a book where he's still the hero ( kind off) . I still think that Cyclops was right however! I can't wait for All New X-men #3 later this week especially after the cliff hanger at the end of #2. Also I've read the Ultimates and I thought it was good but it seems very dated now with all it pop culture references and what not. When I got to the George Bush cameo I was a bit shocked. I'm sure at the time it was quite cool but now it just makes it seem old. That's why I think it's better when presidents are fictional. It's the same with celebrities as Freddy Prince JR made a cameo and I can't think of the last film I saw with him in. It might have been Scooby Doo. I still really enjoyed though.

Yes I found the Dark Pheonix story line to have some slow bits and as soon as it went in to space I wasn't enjoying it as much. But on a whole all the story's are pretty good. They all have a little page at the front to explain the story so far, which is quite helpful. Plus at the back it has a 2 page spread on the origin of the hero or with the Ultimate heroes a comparison between the two universes. Shows you the many different looks of the characters. Has a biography of both the artist and writers. And also shows some of the cover variants. The last page is further reading. So far the best one that I have read is Ultimate Spider-man.

This week I picked up Thor #2, Uncanny Avengers #2, All New X-men #2, FF#1, A+X#2 and every now and I'm picking the Marvel Ultimate Graphic Novel collection. This week was Ultimate Spider-man #1-7, which I really enjoyed. So far I have read Spider-man coming home, X-men Dark Pheonix, Iron man Extremis, The Ultimates and Secret war. I'm hoping to get up to date with the shortly as they are really great books I have six out of the 25 released so I have a lot of back tracking. But it seems worth it as the stories are great. Among some of the ones I intend to get are, Birth of Venom, Planet Hulk, Captain Britain, Avengers Forever, E is for Extiniction, Captain America New Deal, Marvel Zombies, Wolverine, Winter soldier and much more. The next one is The Secret Wars part 1 where Spidey gets the black suit.

If anything I believe that this will set a path to bring them both back. X4 is already in its production stage with scripts being written, and its already been stated by the producers that X4 leads into X5. I personally believe that Days of future past may erase some points of the films and bring about a new continuity, just like in Star Trek. Or they could just go the Super-man route and pretend that certain films ( X3 ) didn't happen. X3 as a movie was already doomed before it started filming. It had loads of unfortunate events hinder it. First of all Signer left the project to do the Super-man film, and so did the actor who played Cyclops. So due to this Cyclops was killed in the first part of the film. Nightcrawler was removed from the scrip as Fox didn't see much point in hiring the actor to play him again since he was only in 3 scenes, and lots of characters were drastically changed to meet the need of the studio. It's a shame and I think the film would have been much better if: Cyclops didn't die Nightcrawler was in the film even if it wasn't in an action role Singer hasn't left to make Super-man Less Wolverine focused Rouge wasn't cured Gambit was in this instead of Origins And also if juggernaut had a different actor, was bigger, looked less magneto esc and was related in some way to Xavier.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Sam892 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Just because something comes out in doesn't mean Lego will make a set or sets around it straight away. Look at the Dark Knight Rises set the film came out months ago but it will be one month till we get a set. So if Lego does create a Thor set ( which they most likely will) it will most likely come out in the January. Also I think that live action TV series will be very depended on their ratings. I know that the Spider-man sets are loosely based on the cartoon, but its a bit different for live action series. I can't see many kids drawn to watching arrow, but I can for the S.H.I.E.L.D series. This is because its already set in a large established universe that kids are drawn too. I still wouldn't expect many sets, and it would also depend on the villains. LEGO may feel put of having Spy vs Spy sets in the Superheroes line. Also the balanced thing has worked so far. 6 last year for both companies. And at the moment it's 6 for DC and 5 for Marvel. Also after the suprise appearance of the Funhouse in December, lots of people are expecting a store Exculsive Marvel set ( me included ). Hope this helps -
I love the new printing on pilot Luke. It's about time lego added a visor to him and the leg printing is nice. However there isn't really a lot of appeal to me other than that.

Sorry Logan but I could bring you Cigars and Alcohol, sincethey go against LEGO's code of conduct.

Just announced that Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen will star in X-men Days of future past! With this news and that The Wolverine is after X3 makes me really think that X4 is coming!!!

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Sam892 replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I would much rather wait and see with Goblin. He was cool in Ultimate Spider-man but I really don't want another Spider-man set in the winter wave. I could easily wait a year and get a set based around some of the second season with him in. Otherwise we will only get a set based around the Helicarrier with him. Plus we already have a Goblin from 2001 so I would rather get a new character before another goblin. I would much rather see a X-men or some other Marvel Property. After all LEGO paid for these Licences from DC and Marvel. At the moment it just seems that its only Batman and Spider-man/ Avengers. I know we're getting Super-man sets in the summer, but theirs a lack of variety in the themes of sets. -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion
Sam892 replied to LEGOman273's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I know it sounds harsh but I'm glad this episode arc is over. I enjoyed it, but I think it could have easily been put into 3 episodes max. It's a bit frustrating when all the trailers advertise the return of Maul and so far he's been in one episode and got his legs shot of. You would think that someone who lost his legs once would take care of his new ones. But there has certainly been an absence of clones and I really miss the episodes that focused around other Jedi. By the way it's painted out here Anakin and Obi Wan are winning this war single handedly. -
I agree. At the moment I've been lucky enough to have been able to get all of the current #1s, but I'm certainly not going to continue many of them. I'm already picking up Batman and Nightwing on the DC side. Looking at Marvel I think I will continue All new X-men, Iron-man, Uncanny Avengers and maybe pick up the odd Thor or Captain America. I've already desired to drop Deadpool, X-men Legacy, maybe Fantastic Four and Red she-hulk. Although they all had good points they weren't really for me. I'm not a big fan of some of the cosmic story lines. So I struggled with Fantastic four and X-men legacy. Mainly because of the setting. Deadpool wasn't very good which is a shame because I like him in other media like TV and films. I might give him another chance in a few months but I'm not sure if I will be able to. I liked Thor but I don't know if I want to see much more of him after seeing him in both Avengers and Uncanny Avengers. Plus I need to make room for some of the other big names that will most likely be heading our way, like Spider-man. Also I keep seeing Justice League #0 and don't know whether to pick it up. Is it any good?
