  1. Smashing! That solidfies our hold on the south eastern zone.
  2. Lovely job on the sails and innovative design on the figurehead. She looks anything but friendly though :p
  3. Lovely spread of all the 4 factions' artillery units. Might I inquire as to the source of those unique headgear though?
  4. A lot of it is about money. Lego is expensive. Brinklinking even more so. I'm starting to feel that the expectations of 'high quality' correlates with the number of parts used in a build. Unfortunately for some of us piddling builders, we just don't have the time or parts to create builds of epic proportions in a matter of days. Not everyone of us has tens of thousands of Euros worth of spare bricks just lying around. I think this might have deterred a lot of people from joining or made them drop out after a month; because the word 'quality' keeps getting thrown around non-stop. But I'm here because I love the pirates theme. I love ships. I love building them. I love bringing them into the shower and for walkies. BoBs made me came out of a 5 year lurk-mode. So am I enjoying myself? You bet your grandma's last doubloon I am!
  5. As requested added a few pics. I know a lot of people don't like purple, but someone was clearing stock so...
  6. That house looks really outlandish! Furniture is great too; looks like it came from Ikea :D
  7. I'm all for reducing the workload of the accountant, so I think this is a step in the right direction. If people want to produce builds of 'lesser' quality, they will do so for FBs 1 and 2 anyway. In any case, I'm confident the leadership will intervene if there are builds that simply do not meet standards. Let us leave the judging to them.
  8. I love the ship, all nice and square; it's almost like minecraft.
  9. The Velvet Room has been added to Port Raleigh [Licence Status: YES] [Type: Commerce, Small] [settlement Value: 1] [Trade Value 5]
  10. The Velvet Room; the Emporium's base of operations on Port Raleigh, which oversees their commercial interests in the region. With rich purple velvet carpet and fine furniture (by colony standards), Miranda's exquisite office is fit for royalty. Here, the Emporium consortium devises grand strategy to extend their influence throughout the New World. You may designate this area as your respawn point by speaking to The Traveller and selecting the "set as homebase" option. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the meeting the Traveller is alone in an empty room. Unfurnished
  11. SCENE 11 *Miranda calls a meeting of her most trusted lieutenants. Velvetine: Oh, I love going to the velvet room. Lovely how it's named after me, don't you think? Anyssa: I'm just glad to be out of the tavern for a change. Miranda should make you work as a barmaid too. Isabella: Then you'll have to share your tips. Anyssa: Oh wait, you're right. Scratch that. You reek of gunpowder anyway. Velvetine: Oy! That's mean! Miranda: Ah good, you're all here. I have new plans for us. Ivoire: I hope zis means we are moving out soon? Miranda: Well, some of us are. As you know, the empire has just claimed two new islands, Cocovia and Serentia. New settlements have been erected very quickly, which means new opportunities to expand east. It serves us little good for all us to be bunched here, we are going to split into three parties. Velvetine, you will have command of the Valkyrie for this month's trade and supply run. As with last month, we're sailing under the Coyle shipping alliance. Velvetine: Roger that. Miranda: Ivoire and Hilda, I want you to take the new ship and rendezvous with Lenny. Word from the landing parties in Serentia say his Peregrine was spotted along the coast. I'll leave it to your discretion to follow up from there. Ivoire: Oui, the ship has been renamed as ze Sea Sparrow, as you have requested. We have refitted ze ship with new sails and a new paint job, but have run into some problems getting her armed. Lieutenant Bridgewater insists on following protocols, says he cannot transfer ze cannons to us until he has obtained clearance. I even offered to let him touch my breasts, but he refused. *shrugs* Hildegarde: Faggot. *snorts* Miranda: Dear old Byron, always a stickler for the rules. Anyway, no choice but to wait then. The rest of us will remain here to oversee development of this colony. The tavern is doing far better than expected, so we can't just leave it now. Anyssa: *fistpumps* Miranda: We're also going to need more manpower for expansion. Elliot, write a letter to Sandeep. Tell him to recruit another twenty to thirty labourers, ten more able seamen. Then send them here together with five of our regulars who will serve as trainers. Elliot: Aye, aye, sir! Miranda: If there are no further outstanding matters, then we are adjourned.
  12. Aye, that has all the form and grace of a warship. May she earn you many victories!
  13. Lovely wood carvings. I like how you represent the wood in two tones. Yea, from corrington
  14. A sterling job, Mr McFuzz! The glassworks feature is brilliant with the spinning and cutting. Also very clever use of that island plate. Is that sandstone being extracted? I don't suppose the skunk it a pet though. Port Raleigh will grow from strength to strength
  15. Indeed, a fun scene. Reminds me of full metal alchemy
  16. Sorry if I've missed it again. Is there an MCRA form for March? Nearly the end of the month, so don't wanna miss the milkrun :p
  17. You totally nailed their outlandish headgear. A perfect prelude to establishing diplomatic relations.
  18. Superb all-out melee shown in 4 steps. The density of the vegetation is very realistic. Definitely a title contender for Cat2B.
  19. Another lovely modular. Having the tarp there lends a nice touch to an open air market. Corrington approves
  20. Lovely module you have there. Looking forward to the expansion sets :) Corrington approves
  21. Some of us in Corrington were discussing how to keep our own accounts in order, on our end. So I was thinking maintaining a spreadsheet and submitting that for any claims. That way, there'll be a standard, familiar format that is quick and easy to check. Think of it like filing taxes on a monthly basis.
  22. Nice crisp and clean build, showing an idyllic scene. Almost makes me what to find out more about Oleonais religion :)
  23. SCENE 10 *Early on Sunday morning at the Flask and Flagon* Diego: Buenos dias. Senorita Miranda, I presume? I am Diego Fargundez, representative from Eslandola. The secretary of state sends his regards. Miranda: I am indeed. Welcome to Port Raleigh, sir. Isabella, drinks for the gentlemen, please. Diego: Gracias, senorita. Your ship is docked over by the harbour. This is the title for the ship. She's been licenced as "Clear Conscience", but you may rename her at your local registrars office if it does not suit your fancy. *Down at the docks a little later on* Diego: Here she is. She's a little weathered and might need to be refitted, but it's a good bargain. Miranda: Indeed, a fine addition to our merchant fleet. Diego: If you could just sign here for the receipt please? Miranda: Most certainly. Diego: Thank you, senorita. It has been a pleasure doing business with you. Hasta la vista. *The Eslandolan representatives then take their leave* Miranda: Not a bad investment for sixteen doubloons. The hull and structure look to be in good condition. Though we might need to replace the sails and mount some guns on her. Oh, and perhaps paint our colours on. Elliot, could you please tell Ivoire to see to it? Elliot: Aye, aye, sir!
