You could also increase the distance between the gears. I see no constrains in the right side of the pictures. If you can accept the big backlash when switching direction, you could even increase the distance by two studs, making space for a 5x7 frame. I think you could even place a 5x7 frame there. I also suggest to review the whole frame and consider using this part at few places:

According to google's interpretation of COPPA: videos targetted to kids: Subject matter of the video (e.g. educational content for preschoolers). Whether children are your intended or actual audience for the video. Whether the video includes child actors or models. Whether the video includes characters, celebrities, or toys that appeal to children, including animated characters or cartoon figures. Whether the language of the video is intended for children to understand. Whether the video includes activities that appeal to children, such as play-acting, simple songs or games, or early education. Whether the video includes songs, stories, or poems for children. Any other information you may have to help determine your video’s audience, like empirical evidence of the video’s audience. Also, I think you can set this attribute on channel level and change it later. so to be safe, I set it to kids.

yes, but you asked why don't you see ads on your video. The COPPA thing may affect getting viewers drastically. As the article I linked says: "In particular, child-directed videos will no longer include a comments section, click-through info cards, end screens, notification functions, and the community tab, all powerful tools for driving viewers back to a channel." If you use youtube merely as a place to store your videos in an easily shareable way, then this COPPA thing probably doesn't affect you. But then you could use any other platforms which won't shut off your videos in some countries just because it uses a copyrighted music in the background.

Are you sure it's not the other way round? Marking videos "for kids" and having content that is really not approptiate for kids (that's just a guess, and I also guess that this law tries to protect kids) EDIT: hopefully Lego content is widespread enough to have a clearer statement from youtube on this Lego topic.

I think the Youtube's FAQ covers it up pretty well (I don't remebmer where I found it, but I maybe from the email somewhere). And according to that, your (and generally all of our) videos are not targeting kids. This doesn't mean it's these videos are 18+, just that these videos don't need "special" treatment (no Ads, no monetization(?), etc). I applied "I never make videos for kids" or something globally on my channel. (I have to admit, I was looking after my child so I didn't read all the text that carefully...)

I noticed in on THELEGOCARBLOG. I don't know if it's the photo, the topic or the quality of the build made it so obvious at first glance it's your creation. -
[POC] Solid ball joint

I just noticed that I used a similar technique in my folding bike model. I used it as an easy to snap in/out joint in the first suspension. -
[MOC] 2C Sports Car - Complete

This is a lovely project, I would like to see some more pics about the bodywork. But to be honest, in case a remotely operated sequential gearbox I really see no point in remote shifter flaps. It's not realistic at all but takes up a lot of space, I think a simple Land Rover style dial would suffice (I know a lot of great designers do that, but still). It's only an opinion, of course, and maybe I think this because I haven't tried this setup yet. Maybe changing the gears with the flaps is so satisfactory that I would change my mind... -
LDD then MLCad and LPub3D. I usually build my models in LDD then it's easier for me to remodel in MLCAD. I also use the export/import feature to migrate builds from LDD to MLCad, but it introduces many errors (ruins the orientation of some parts and adds slight random offsets to all parts) which sometimes takes more time to fix than to remodel the whole thing. I sometimes used Notepad++ to fix those errors ("search and replace"). I don't know if there was any improvement in that feature export/import, I haven't made instructions since 2 years. I also used Notepad++ to fix LPub errors and because LPub was extremely slow on my computer. At the end, I usually had to fiddle around with the PDF in Adobe Acrobat to fix some pdf errors (sometimes layers get mixed up) and to finalize the instructions (adding extra pages and to optimize the filesize).

No, I forgot to look... For a manual model I wouldn't use the planetary hubs but who knows... -

Guys, the suspension is no that bad. The model is an ""offroader"", so a softer suspension enables it to settle nicely on a rough surface. -

The car doesn't stay low, but certainly it doesn't come back as high as it sits if you lift the car and put it down carefully. I couldn't look into at the details of the suspension, I don't know how the stabilizator is implemented if implemented at all. I forgot to mention that the sequential gearbox is operated by a rotating knob, so no sequencer mechanism this time. But the end speeds are blocked at least. All in all, many solutions felt hacky (the rear door lock is a real son of a btch), the side doors' fake handle is a bit complicatedly placed for something that doesn't actually work. -

I saw the model yesterday, and since it was in a public event, I think I can tell what I saw: mini fake engine (forgot to count cylinders) hi-lo selector D N R selector 4-speed sequential transmission winch, operable from the engine bay HOG steering with working steering wheel standard double wishbone suspension (very soft) a horribly overcomplicated lock of the back door operable with the spare wheel. So basically a car with a very simplistic winch mechanism and a very very slowly rotating mini fake engine.
