9397 B Model pictures
sama replied to Rodeown's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Does anybody have pictures of the b-model with the a-model or maybe 8258 and 8285? I just want to see the sizes because the snowplow seems pretty massive. -
9397 Plow/Dumper model

Yah, you have to turn those 12t gears you see behind the snow blade in the picture (they also have 16t gears on the same axle for no reason). -
9397 Plow/Dumper model

The front snow blade is able to raise and lower (via mini linear actuator) as well as swivel left to right via 24t and worm gear coupling. -
9397 Technic Logging Truck
sama replied to paul_delahaye's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
For anybody who owns 9397, do the rear wheels (last ones) with the 4 length black axles slip off if you make a quick, sharp turn? How much force is needed to remove the rear wheels with the black axles? I'm just asking this because there seem to be no stops or a 5.5 length axle to stop the rear wheels from slipping out along with the axle. -
9398 - Lego Technic 4x4 Crawler
sama replied to AndroTech's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I know we have discussed this before, but I forgot. What is the type of suspension for 9398, and what is the difference with its suspension system and the suspension system of 8110? -

Pneumatics
sama replied to Legoroni's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Addition: LA means Linear actuator There just like the pneumatics, with a piston rod that extend. Except, for a linear actuator you have to turn it and the piston rod extends (circular motion transformed into linear motion), sort of like a screw. But just like TheDesuComplex said, a pneumatic cylinder uses air pressure to push the metal piston rod out while a LA needs rotation to extend the piston rod out. But, a linear actuator is more precise and is longer, while a pneumatic cylinder is shorter, stronger (I'm not 100% sure), and extends in bursts of movement(its "jerky," if you have the hand pump). But hearing as you have m-motor and most likely a mini pump, the pneumatic cylinder extends pretty smoothly so you made a good choice grabbing them bags. Does this explain with the help of TheDesuComplex? -
Effe's MOC Corner

First of all, you haven't included enough gears . Second of all, your mudguards should be you logo, your symbol, something that makes us say "its efferman." Beautiful!! -
@ dr_spock, beautiful idea, just love it. Is the m-motor geared down at all? I think you should replace the 20t with a 20t with pinhole to reduce the friction and gear it down some more. Then I would reconsider where the LA is attached to the arm (maybe slightly up higher?).

8110 Wheel Problem
sama replied to sama's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I know, I have used macro and super macro many times. I just forgot to use it when taking the first three pictures. I realized the quality was bad so I macro for the other pictures. I just had to take them in a hurry so I could get them to LEGO customer service. But, I think you guys know how bad the defects on the tire are. -

Yah, me too. I want to see how that gearshifter works in detail (the yellow gearshifter). -
8110 Wheel Problem
sama replied to sama's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Whoops! The tires were the faulty parts. -
I just found these amazing chassis on brickshelf (by Nathanael Kuipers). Medium sized Technic chassis with similar features as the Supercars, like full suspension, V8 piston engine, working steering wheel and 4-speed gearbox. Rear axle is driven with live axle suspension. HoG is included as well. Bodywork will follow. Some pics The rest are here.

LEGO is so generous. I called them and in 10 days, I will get my new wheels! -
8110 Wheel Problem
sama replied to sama's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I got some pictures. Sorry if some aren't so clear but you could see the problem. They look ugly.(Sorry if the pics are two big, I rushed in getting them to LEGO) Here is the normal wheel Here is one faulty wheel Here is the other faulty wheel Here are all of them together -
Hi, I bought my Unimog on Febuary, 17 and I opened it to verify the contents. But when I looked at the wheels, one of them had some ugly markings and deformities on the side. It looks like something happened during the molding process. I just wanted to know if anybody else had this problem and do you think LEGO would send another replacement wheel if I called them? I'll post pictures soon.
